Journey to the Village (Donut/Augen)

[Schala]

At last they had arrived.
As far as Katriance knew, Ronnie and Raposa were waiting outside the book shop while Katriance bought the book "Legends of Link II" for Aliana.
Aliana, on the other hand, was standing by Katriance eating some green grapes. They were her favorite fruit and she had persuaded Katriance to buy them for her.

[Augen]

Ronnie sat quietly outside the shop, playing her lute and singing to herself. Looked like practice. The sound was soft, and quiet, but it seemed to get a little heavier at points.

"When I see lightning... You know it always brings me down," she sang quietly. "... 'Cause it's free and I see that it's me, who's lost and never found." She paused and turned torwards Raposa. "So... Do you come to the human village often," she asked, a somewhat tired look on her face.

[roguedonut]

Raposa listened to the soft sound of the lute. Music had enveloped his life. It was all he did and cared about. Listening to the music made him want to play along with her. The question rang in his ears "So... Do you come to the human village often?"

It took a moment for Raposa to process because he was wondering what the next lyrics were to the song she was singing. After the slight hesitation, he responded, "Once every few months, but I haven't built up a reputation here yet... Have you ever been here before?"

[Schala]

Katriance walked outside carrying the new book with Aliana beside her.
"Hello," she said.
This was all going on very well as Katriance wished to get to know her new friends better.
"So, what's up?" She turned to the book's first page. "'The Wind Waker'...doesn't that sound fascinating?"
"Let me see! Katri, let me see!" Aliana cried as she attempted to wrench the book from Katriance's hands.
"H-hey!" Katriance said, giggling. "Of course you can read it."
Aliana gratefully took the book and began to read.

[Augen]

Ronnie paused. "It is rare... But I have come here on occasions. I don't like sticking around home much," she replied... Just then the two girls returned from the shop.

"So what's up," the taller one had asked. She seemed to be in a rather joyful mood, as did the child.

"Not much out of the ordinary. Just talking a bit about the village," Ronnie responded before standing up and puting her lute away.

Raposa watched as Katriance and Aliana came out of the bookstore. Aliana was eager to read the book that they had just gotten. Raposa was slightly surprised that they weren't already reading it.

His stomach growled. He still hadn't eaten lunch and wanted a bowl of ramen. Silently he looked around at the buildings near them. None of them sold food. The only thing he could do is ask, "Hey, y'all want to go get some food. Perhaps some ramen noodles."

[Schala]

"Food?" inquired Katriance. "Hold on..."
She disappeared into an inn for a few minutes and then came back out.
She was holding a tray full of green grapes, fancy cheeses, catfish, and ratatouille with shell pasta.
She set this on a convieniently placed small table and then handed Raposa a bowl of ramen noodles.
Aliana stopped reading and grabbed all the green grapes she could before Katriance stopped her from taking them all.

[Augen]

"No, but thanks... I'm not much of one for human food," Dea said, sitting there and just watching the others as she pulled out her lute. "Now let's see... Where did I leave off," she pondered to herself.

[roguedonut]

Raposa took the Ramen noodles and said "Thank you so much. Oh, you were singing something about lightning or someth..." Raposa took a bite of food before he had finished his sentence making his last word sound like a animal. Both his tails wagged alternately. He was starting to like Katriance. He still wasn't so sure about Dea though. After swallowing the food that was in his mouth, he asked "I have a bar that I will be playing at later. Would y'all like to come?"

[Schala]

Katriance took a bite of cheese.
"I'd love to see you perform!" she said to Raposa. "I hope there's good food at your bar."
Aliana was so happy. She was going to concert! With Katri!
The next person Katriance turned to was Ronnie.
"You have a pretty singing voice," she said.

[Augen]

Raposa had started to ask about the lyrics of the song Ronnie had been singing. Though he did end the question quite strangely. "... Yes, the lightning. It's free, free as a bird. Sometimes we are not so lucky," she said. Then Katriance spoke. "You have a pretty singing voice," Katriance had said.

Dea blushed a little and rubbed the back of her head. "Heheh, thanks... I've been singing for a while now... Used to be in a choir," she responded. "But... I left. To them it was a duty. I wanted to be free."

Slurping up a noodle, Raposa glanced at Aliana who had grabbed quite a bit of the grapes. "How is the book?" He asked. His tails slowly twisted around each other, and then slowly untwisted. His ears twitched. Being in a inhabited place with sounds everywhere made his sensitive ears twitched at everything. It was a uncontrollable habit.

Looking back at Dea, he said "A voice like yours should be in show business. I was wondering if you would like to sing for me tonight. My throat is a bit scratchy and I dont know how it will sound tonight."

[Schala]

Aliana smiled. The kitsune had asked how the book was.
"It's wonderful!" she said as she helped herself to a handful of grapes.
Katriance, on the other hand, was looking at Ronnie.
"Hey, if you get a chance to sing, you oughta sing," she said.

[Augen]

"Well, I guess I could perform... If you want me to," Dea said, looking a little uncertain as to what she was going to do. "I mean, don't get me wrong... I would like to perfrom. Very much so. But the thing is... It's your show, Raposa. Are you sure it's alright?"

[roguedonut]

Raposa stopped eating for a second. He responded "Honestly, its a bar. I wont be getting much publicity or money. So it is no loss to me. So if youre up for it, you got it. We can go over the lyrics to some of my songs. Then choose a few more known songs and we'll be set. Its your call." Raposa ate another large spoonful of his noodles, and looked back up waiting for an answer.
