"And to finish it off, Spell card, Activate! Runaway Locomotive!" Kisha said, making a pose as she pulled out the card, sending a large toy train barreling down at the hunter.

Trapped and unable to get out of the way, the attack lliterally ripped straight through him, the train cars emerging on the other side, covered in blood.

"Ugh..." Reesha looked like she was going to be sick.

The other girl walked over to her, holding a part on her arm that had been cut into, leaving a deep wound that continued to bleed, but didn't stain her clothes due to them already being that color.

"It's okay, Reesha... they'll stop coming eventually, I hope."

[Schala]

(Much earliar...

Aliana: But the forest is too scary!
Katriance: We have to go. It's the only way Nerys won't find us.
Aliana: But Katri!
Katriance: Don't worry. I'll protect you.)

Aliana walked close by Katriance. The forest was creepy, and she didn't like it.
Katriance didn't like the look of it either. The trees were...still today, and she had heard it was supposed to be windy.
This was bad.
She and Aliana sat in a clearing.
"And to finish it off, Spell card, Activate! Runaway Locomotive!" was what Katriance heard.
"Stay here, Aliana," she said. "I'll go investigate."

[dusk]

Kisha turned as she heard someone coming, growling as she protectively closed her arms over her counterpart.

Another?! I'm not sure if Reesha can handle it...

[Schala]

Katriance walked up to the two girls. "Hello," she said.
"My name is Katriance Windwaker. I'm just hoping you're okay."

(Short. But I had ZERO STUFF to work with XD)

[dusk]

(Yeah, there's not much to use right now.)

Kisha was a bit wary. "Uh... yeah... I guess." She said, relaxing her guard enough to let go of Reesha and put her hand back over her wound.

Reesha looked up at her. "I'm fine... but... but..." She looked over at the corpes of the two youkai hunters.

Mokuko had been flying over the Forest of Magic looking for something interesting to do until he heard the sound of the spellcard activating. It certainly was interesting as he had never heard such a sound before so he dropped down to have a look.

Unfortunately everything seemed to be over by the time he arrived (the bodies told him that) but instead he found a group of people who were all new to him and that in itself was interesting as well. He flew into the middle of the group and began to circle each one, studying them intently, and he greeted them as he went. "Hey there. Are you all new to Gensokyo? I haven't seen you before."

[dusk]

"We've been here for a while..." Kisha said, looking over at this strange new person.

...it was quite usual for her to see so many strangers. And before, she had rarely run into any as freindly as these two... unless it was just an act.

"...but we've only run into prey and prey that bites back." She finished.

[Schala]

Katriance looked at the new person.
"Aliana, you can come out!" she called. "It's safe."
The little ocarina youkai came into view as she took Katriance's hand.
"Katri, who are they?" she asked.
Katriance smiled at Aliana. "It's okay," she whispered.
"We just arrived here," she said to the new person. "We're actually escaping from a Fallen Sa--someone bad."
She had cut herself off due to the fact that anyone who knew about Nerys would certainly be in danger.
"Well, anyway, we heard these two girls and I decided to check it out. I'm Katriance Windwaker, by the way/"

Katriance... that name seemed odd to Mokuko but then again he'd seen a lot of odd things in his life. Well, courtesy required that he give his own name to his new friends and so he did, stopping his flight and 'sitting' in mid-air where all of them could see him. "You can call me Mokuko. If you ever forget then just remember that I'm made of wood and call me that, although of course I hope you won't forget. How about everyone else?"

[dusk]

"We're Kisha and Reesha." The girl in red said, seeming less nervous, but not really knowing what else to say, never having really carried on a conversation before.

Reesha smiled, "Hi! I'm Reesha! So... call me Reesha!"

[Schala]

"I'm Aliana Ocarina," said the small youkai.
Katriance had no idea what to say next.
"I'm doing...fine, I guess," she said. "I just wanted to see if these two girls* were all right."
Aliana spoke again. "Is that why we came to the scary forest, Katri?"
Katriance, who had had no idea she would meet the girls here, did not want to mention Nerys in front of three innocent people.
They might be put in danger. And she did not want that.

*(Kisha and Reesha.)

Mokuko smiled as far as his wooden face would allow (which wasn't much). "Nice to meet you all."

Then he noticed that Kisha was injured and he flew over to her. He didn't bleed when he got damaged but he knew that humans and fleshy Youkai did and that they didn't think it was good, so he would have to tell the girl in case she hadn't noticed. "Hey, you've got that red stuff coming out of you. I don't think that's a good sign."

[dusk]

Kisha looked at the wooden person with a glare that very clearly conveyed the message 'Are you stupid?!'

"Of course it's bad, moron. Otherwise I wouldn't have such a problem when food bites back." She said.

Reesha's eyes widened. "That's mean!"

"Hmph. Look at at it! Made of wood. Why does it matter if you're mean to lumber?"

[Schala]

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Katriance said. "Be nice!"
She knelt down beside Kisha. "It's okay," she said. "Can I help?"
Aliana, meanwhile, was fascinated with all the glowing balls of light that were actually fairies. Like all young girls, she had a weakness for fairies.
"Oh, look at all those fairies!" she cried. "I'm gonna catch one!"
And with that, she was skipping after them.
Uh-oh.

Mokuko didn't really feel offended by Kisha's statement. The fact that wood was usually cast into a fire without a second thought meant that it wasn't very important to most people and he wondered if the Youkai had intended her words to be an insult of some sort.

Then he spotted Aliana skipping off and somehow he realized that he had to stop her from doing anything dangerous. For a moment he considered catching her directly with his Astral Strings but then he remembered the two bodies lying near them. Why let such excellent puppets go to waste?

He'd had so much practice animating human bodies that he barely had to pay attention as he connected his invisible Strings to the larger of the corpses and made it stand up. He then had it run towards Aliana and made it attempt to grab her.
