Nyra loved to fly. It was her vey favorite thing to do. And today, she was in a particularly beautiful place. A waterfall in the middle of a small, lush, green wood. She was admiring it. The cheerful luck fairy was sure that nothing could spoil such a perfect day*.
*(You just wait, Nyra.)

Yachiru carefully picked her way through the woods she was in. "Geez, Usa-chan, it's really not fun in here" She stated, twisting her hair around a finger. Usa materialized before her for a moment, the head of the rabbit spirit nodding, before its ears perked in one direction. Yachi's own ears perking up, she heard the sound of water. "Oh, water. That would be good for cleaning up after moving through this place. Thanks Usa-chan!" She muttered, before walking towards the direction.
After several minutes of walking, she came across the area where Nyra was. Hearing the last part of her statement, Yachi's eyes darted around, before finding the fairy. "Oh, hello there Fairy. I hope you don't mind my intrusion." Yachiru stated, carefully walking in, though using her hand to signal Usa to remain hidden until later.

She tugged a few strings, and the dolls attacked the tree again, this time with a bit more power than the last. It was a simple idea, one that seemed far too easy, but she hadn't tried it before, and so it was worth a shot.
Alice had decided to locate a few enchanted trees, and to cut them down - maybe if she made the doll with previously enchanted wood, it would help. Of course, it would only be a rough thing, barely worthy of being called one of her masterpieces, if it were made from such varied types, but a sucess was a sucess no matter how you looked at it.
She heard a few people talking nearby, and instantly stopped. It would be best to wait until they passed to resume her work. Youkai were often known to attack over trival things, and faries would shoot first, speak later.
With another tug, a doll flew across the ground, heading in their direction. The dollmistress would observe it from here, and make sure they weren't a threat.
---
A small doll peeked its head out of a bush, looking at them.

"Hm? Oh, I don't mind," Nyra said to the nekomata. She seemed harmless enough. Just then, she noticed a small head in a bush. Another fairy? Had to be, since nothing else was quite that small, unless it was a toy, but toys couldn't peek out of bushes. Unless...perhaps the doll's owner (if it WAS a doll) was hiding in the bushes and doing this just to confuse people. Nyra flew over to the small head, eager to find out what it was. "Hello," she said.

Looking over at where Nyra was headed, Yachi carefully took out her recurve bow. Putting it down, she laid an arrow beside it, before heading towards the Waterfall. Carefully putting her pack down, she pretended to rummage through it, though really she was making some hand signs. Feigning to wash her hands, she watched as Usa nodded, before burrowing into the ground.
A few moments later, she turned around. Putting her pack back on, she then loaded the bow. She could feel a slight warmth to the arrow, telling her that Usa-chan had managed to enter it successfully. "Oh, fairy. What is that?" Yachiru asked, still keeping the string slack, though ready to bring it up and fire if need.

Alice quickly dropped the magical string that controlled the doll, letting it dissolve. Being traced back was not something she had thought of - they were a lot more observant than she had expected. She quickly began to run through several scenarios in her head, planning out the best way to act.
---
The doll fell over limply.

Nyra gasped. The small being had fallen over. Quickly she flew to it. "Are you okay?" she asked. When the...whatever it was...did not answer, Nyra at first thought it must be dead, then she began to think that it might not have ever been alive. She turned to the nekomata. "Come over here!" she called, hoping the girl would know what the small thing was.

Yachi carefully made her way over, her bow remaining slack. Arriving near the figure, she crouched down beside it. "It's... humanoid in its figure, I suppose..." She muttered, before she removed the arrow from her bow string. Tapping it against the object repeatedly, she watched as Usa quickly went into it. Continuing to tap it a few moments, she noticed as Usa quickly left, nodded towards a nearby tree, then returned to the arrow.
Yachi pretended to perk her ears up, then resumed tapping the doll with the arrow. She stopped, then stood. "Well, from the sound, it seems to be made of wood. Maybe it's a child's doll?" Yachi stated.

"Hmmm...probably," Nyra said. "So why did it poke its head out of the bushes?" It was a mystery that needed to be solved. "I still think there's someone behind there," she said. "Do you think I should see who it is?

"Go ahead, I'll follow behind you, Fairy" Yachiru stated, before shifting her Quiver to a slightly easier to reach spot. "Since you're small, you would be a better scout" Yachi spoke, before leaning against a tree.
Usa was also ready for battle, of course. He was set to do what he usually did when she was asked to enter an arrow- cause massive, spiky vines to grow. Though of course, it's not like the fairy would know that unless whoever left that doll was out to do bad thngs.

Alice heard them approach, and dolls began to fly across the area, hiding behind trees as they wove a web to catch them in with their nearly-invisible strings.
She herself intentionally did not hide, becoming the bait, as her hands twiched slightly, positioning the dolls all around the area. When they fell for the trap, running into the criss-crossing wires, it would pull the dolls out of hiding toward them, where she'd activate her spellcard, the Artful Sacrifice. Hopefully blowing up a few dolls in their faces would weaken them enough that they could be subdued easily by the wave of dolls to follow.

Nyra turned to Yachi. "Before I go in there, I'll tell you my name. It's Nyra." She flew into the bush and found...no one. She parted the leaves on the other side of the bush just so she could get a look at whatever was out there. And she saw a girl dressed in blue. Nyra stuck her head out. "Hey there!" she said. "I found your doll!"

Yachiru nodded, before following behind the fairy at a medium sized distance. Upon hearing her exclamation, Yachi's face turned somewhat puzzled. "A girl? There's no reason for someone to be out here alone without protection..." Yachi muttered, bringing her bow up. For some reason, Yachi doubted that the girl would be thrilled that they had found her. Even if she was just someone who was lost, what kid wanted their parents to find out they had been messing around?

Alice looked over at them. Okay, so she hadn't planned for them to not get caught in the trap - but she had been thinking of backup soultions in case for a while, and had this one, at least.
She pointed a finger toward them, the magic thread flying out and attaching to her doll, which looked up at Nyra, suddenly animate again.
"I'm warning you, don't move or that doll will explode!" She threatened, focusing on the arrow more than anything else. That would present a problem, if they were able to attack long-range without even announcing a spellcard.

Nyra...froze. "I'm sorry, ma'am," she said to Alice after a minute of taking the threat in. "I had no idea...I thought your doll was lost and I wanted to make sure you knew where it was." Hopefully the girl would take what Nyra said the right way. "My name is Nyra, by the way."
