Ran considered Alicia's words for a moment before replying, this time continuing to walk as she thought. An entity that could disturb the passage of another from one realm to the next might also have the ability to pass between realms as well, and the nature of this disturbance indicated that the entity in question was malevolent. Yukari always claimed to have absolute power over Gensokyo and its border but Ran began to doubt that her mistress would be able to handle this new threat if it somehow made its way in. She resolved to discuss the issue with her mistress over dinner but first she had to find out about more about they were facing.
"I will hazard a guess that this 'enemy' is an entity of similar nature to yourself before you arrived here, but with a greater magnitude of power. It would be wise for you to describe your foe in greater detail. With your apparent weakness you may be forced to rely on Mayohiga and its powers for safety if this threat manages to pursue you, but with enough information we might be able to prepare some defense."
