Flandre smiled, creeping out of the basement. She knew how to use steath, too... sorta. However, this time her target was not simply to be able to look around without being blinded by that annoying sun. No, this time her goal laid indoors - or would.
She opened the library door, looking around carefully. Patchouli didn't seem to be around... so that meant it was the perfect time for her target to have free reign over the library.
The youngest Scarlet looked around for a goood hiding place, choosing one up high in the furthest sections from the entrance - but also the closest one to the exit that her target usually used.
She sat there, waiting for the black-white to come by.

There was something going on. Something bad. Something that could have world-shattering consequences... Marisa was bored. Which was never, never a good thing. The results of this ranged from going out and beating up random youkai, to doing magical experiments, to going to steal books from Patchouli, possibly randomly reading spells from them. None of these usually ended well. Granted, they usually didn't result in anything catastrophic (and just for more emphasis, it needs to be pointed out that the keyword is indeed "usually") but it almost invariably was a bad thing for someone.
This time, the result on the roulette of doom boredom was to go steal stuff from Patchouli's library. So of course, she flew out from the forest of magic, toward the Misty Lake. She went straight over the water easily, and soon reached the gate of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. She passed right on by the sleeping Meiling (who had never been especially good at her job) and into the library. Little did she know that there was a fangirl vampire waiting to jump on her.

...boredboredboredboredboredboredboredboredboredMARISA!
The vampire launched herself down at her target, speeding up behind her as silently as she could. It was probably even the first time Flandre encountered Prey Sight - as she recognized Marisa as her target, and came in for the 'kill', the world's colors began to fade into a crimson red, and Marisa's form stood out in her mind, her senses focusing entirely on that one object.
*wham*
Able to jump skyscrapers in a single bound. Faster than a speeding Flandre. Oh wait. Only Aya's faster than a speeding Flandre.
Which coincidentally happened to glomp Marisa at several hundred miles per hour.

As Marisa came into the library, she started imagining what might be in those books. Perhaps she could make her sparks even more powerful? Or maybe she could manage to make her attacks even more flashy? Or... Wait, why did she suddenly have a horrible feeling? A feeling that amount to "Oh crud I'm screwed"?
She got her answer approximately two seconds after that feeling began, as a red and pink blur zoomed into her at incredible speeds. It was, of course, Flandre. Remilia wouldn't act so... Hyper. Though Marisa would rather be in the clutches of Remilia than Flandre... After all, though you rarely knew what Remilia was up to, Flandre wasn't much more predictable... And the older sister was less likely to KILL YOU if you met her. Though that didn't seem to be what Flandre was up to this time...
"AH!" Marisa cried out, startled, as she was knocked to the ground. "Get off of me!" If there was one thing that could temporarily make a carefree person like Marisa not so carefree anymore, it was having a girl that was capable of destroying the world (and just might if she got upset enough) right on top of you...

"Marisa! Marisa!" Flandre said happily. "I knew you'd come here~! Why do you vist Patchy so much, but you never come down to see me anymore?" She asked, looking up into the older girl's eyes, completely ignoring the demand for her to let go.
The moment that she finished that sentence, her eyes glinted dangerously. It was quite obvious to anyone that saw it that giving a half-baked answer was not a good thing to do - though outright telling her she didn't want to see her (if that was indeed the case) would be tantamount to suicide.
Flandre waited eagerly for her response, and it wouldn't be too far off to say she looked somewhat like a puppy waiting for a treat - an insane, homicidal, vampire puppy.

Why did she come to visit Patchouli but not Flandre? Well, besides that what she was doing technically wasn't "visiting" but really usually closer to "breaking and entering"... This was why. This situation right now was exactly why she didn't go to visit Flandre. The child disregarded nearly everything besides her own whims, which quite frequently were highly destructive.
Of course, Marisa wasn't stupid enough to give an answer like that. "Um... Uh..." her mind quickly scrambled for an answer. "The thing is, I usually don't have time, and even when I do, Patchy usually insists I leave once she realizes that I'm 'visiting.' After all, you know how much she hates it when I borrow her books, right? If you were up in the library more often when I came over, then I of course wouldn't mind seeing you... Though it would be better if you didn't react so... Uh... Enthusiastically..."
Marisa hoped she'd been nice enough (by Flandre's judgement) about it to avoid being completely and utterly wiped from existence. Preferably enough so that there would be no pain or stealing of spark cards involved whatsoever...

She was a bit confused on the subject, as while Patchouli did mention she drove Marisa off whenever she came, she had never explained why to her.
So... if Marisa never got past the Library, she had to stay closer to the entrance. There weren't many rooms closer than the library, so if she wanted to be avalible whenever Marisa appeared, she'd have to stay in the library. Therefore, it only took a few moments before she figured out exactly what to do to solve this problem. "Okay! I'll move into the library!" Flandre said, grinning joyfully.
...This was not going to end well.

It was official. Marisa could not visit the library anymore. For one thing, Flandre would be in it. For another thing, Flandre would be in it. These were two different things actually. The first was that Marisa would likely be tackled by Flandre if she came in. The second was that she would likely be attacked by Patchouli if she came in. Or remained anywhere Patchouli could find her.
Granted, if she came into the library for Patchouli to attack her, then Flandre might defend her... Which was a problem in and of itself. Considering that ticking Flandre off could well be outright fatal. Or world-ending. Which was why Marisa had tried to be nice about wording what she'd said to Flandre...
Marisa could see a very large number of very unpleasant possibilities no matter what she did. If she stopped visiting the library, she would likely be attacked by Patchouli if she didn't hide somewhere for a while. And then Flandre would likely end up obsessing over Marisa not visiting at all, get upset, and appear in the Forest of Magic. That would either lead to most of the forest getting destroyed, including Marisa or not, just Marisa getting destroyed, or Marisa being forced to become a combination of chew toy and teddy bear.
Of course, there was also the possibility of THE ENTIRE WORLD ENDING! And then if Marisa did visit the library, Flandre would be sort of nice... If a bit unnervingly enthusiastic... in greeting Marisa, but Patchouli would probably attack. And if that got Flandre angry... There could be fatalities. Either limited to Patchouli, or extending to all of Gensokyo. Neither one was an idea Marisa especially liked.
So overall, no matter what Marisa did at this point, there was the possibility of the world ending. But she had no idea what to say to Flandre that wouldn't risk that as well... In short, Marisa's thoughts could yet again be summed up as: Oh crud.
In the meantime though, she wanted out of here so it would eb easier to think about what to do. As in, while not distracted by a vampire who is hugging WAY too tightly. "I think I should... Probably go now..." Marisa managed to get out, "Would you please let me go? Or at least let me breathe...?"
As it turned out, Marisa wasn't the only one who had been bored that night. The older of the Scarlet sisters had been watching as the black-white witch went into the mansion. She'd also been watching as she entered the library, and was rather amused when Flandre tackled Marisa. That amusement soon gave way to a strange mix of exasperation and terror.
Why? Remilia wondered, Why oh why did she have to suggest it? Putting ideas in Flan's head is not a good idea... Honestly, she was imagining the same scenarios as Marisa was. Although, there was one difference. Mari WOULD be visiting the library. And Patchy would not be attacking Mari when Flan was around. Remilia would make sure of that... While Flan WASN'T around would be a different story. A very different story.

Flandre noticed the long pause. She hated it when there were long pauses. It meant people were thinking. And when people thought, she usually didn't get her way. And she really hated not getting her way.
"...breathe?" Flandre asked, as the word was as foriegn to her as the activity. Marisa hadn't really thought about how she was talking to a fullblood vampire, here. Flandre Scarlet had been born a vampire, and so had always been undead. She had never breathed before in her life, and so identifying such a thing did not happen to someone who had so much less tact than her elegant older sister.
"What's 'breathe'?" She wondered. Though it was entirely due to how sheltered she was (if you can really call being told to live in a basement sheltered), Flandre rarely came across things that she didn't know about from Patchy's lessons. So, she was highly curious about things that she didn't know as a result.

...Flandre didn't even know what breathing was. And Marisa couldn't exactly explain it to her, since she was literally out of air. And unable to get more. And she could feel herself starting to pass out. The dim light soon faded into no light, as she faded into the darkness of unconsciousness.
"What's breathe?" Remilia heard her younger sister ask. Remilia would have facepalmed if she hadn't already been doing so. As it was, she forced herself to pry her hand away from her forehead as she walked into the library.
"Breathing is one of those things that mortal creatures like Mari there have to do in order to... Not break." she explained to Flandre, "And I think Mari is currently in the process of breaking right now. Whether you want her to visit occasionally or just want her as a toy, it can only happen if you let go of her. Or at least loosen your grip."
Remilia really didn't want Flandre to unleash a world-ending temper tantrum over her favorite toy breaking. And besides, Marisa could be rather amusing either way.

Flandre instantly let go, feeling something that could even be called fear over losing Marisa. "Is she alright? I didn't break her?" She asked anxiously, and once her sister had told her she hadn't, she sighed in relief.
"Okay! Since Marisa's sleeping, I'm going to move into the library now!" She told Remilia, putting the black-white witch over in a corner where she'd remember where she was and flying off to go back down to her basement.
Landing amongst the small craters, piles of broken toys, and various other objects that littered the room, Flandre wondered exactly what she should be bringing to make her new home over there. Going through a pile of broken toys, there were a few she considered bringing, before realizing that she really didn't care much for any of them, and wouldn't miss them at all if they stayed down here while she did not.
Heading over, Flandre found one object which she actually knew instantly that she wanted to bring - her bed. Lifting it easily, she headed back into the library, flying past the bookshelves over to a random section and putting it down.
Here. This will be my new home. She thought, before glancing over at where she had put down Marisa in the corner to make sure she hadn't moved. After that security check, she started to head back to the basement to find more things, but had a small thought, and instead returned to the witch's location.
Picking her up gently, Flandre headed towards her new 'home', placing Marisa down on the bed. Sleeping people should sleep on beds. The Scarlet vampire told herself with a smile, before finally resuming her task.
The next thing to get brought up was a small couch, and was followed by a blackboard which Patchouli often used to help tutor her, as Flandre often didn't understand something unless you showed it to her.
Not many more things came after that, however, and the young vampire came to realize exactly how little stuff it was that she actually possessed. Feeling more than a bit jealous, she then proceeded to rob the other rooms in the house for stuff, though since they were pretty much all the same and fairly bland, even after that Flandre's new abode didn't have too much in it - though there were a few extra beds, as that was one thing that she could actually think about needing, even though it was unlikely that Marisa, Patchouli, and Koakuma would all decide to rest in the area she had marked out as her new place.
But now it was missing something else.
She had enough stuff for a room, but Flandre wasn't settleing for just that much anymore, after realizing how little she had. She wanted something big and amazing to call her own...
Like a castle! Patchouli had shown her what castles looked like. The only problem was that there wasn't anything around to make it from. This library only had bookshelves as far as the eye could see...
Wait a minute. They were about the right shape to make stuff with, weren't they? All she needed was a way to stick them together, and she had everything she needed to make her very own castle, right in here!
...ugh, sticky stuff was hard to come by.
But! She'd be able to figure out how to get if if she looked it up in Pathouli's books! And so a few hours later, after Flandre had found the right book in the library catalogue, and read that, she headed down through her basement...
...and into the underground by way of her tunnel.
Later, this incedent would be known as "The mysterious Superglue theft" as all bottles of the substance dissapeared from the underground without even a trace.
---
Flandre set to work, glueing bookshelf on bookshelf to make walls, and celings, and the occasional extra floor, as well. Books fell out and spilled all over the place, but she usually stuffed them back in. Well, except for the ones on the celing. Then she superglued them back in.
After a long while of work, it was finally done. Flandre had built her own castle... inside of the library.
Standing back to appriciate her work, she looked over at Remilia. "So, what do you think, oneesama? I did great!"

Remilia was quite surprised as she watched Flandre bring things into the library... And then turn it into a castle... She contemplated saying something in an attempt to get Flandre to stop, but then she decided... Nah. Seeing Patchy's reaction would be more than worth it. Poor, poor Mari~
When Flandre came to ask Remilia how she did, the older vampire just grinned. Evilly. "Yes, you did do great Flan~ I'm sure Patchy will be really happy~" Of course, she knew that Patchouli wouldn't be happy. At all. It would be oh so funny to watch her simply... Explode~
Of course, Remilia then realized that it might have a negative effect on Patchy's health. As in, a heart attack, a stroke, or an aneurysm. So she decided to go and retrieve that friend of hers that was so good at dealing with stuff like that. "Flan, I'm going to leave you and Mari alone for a bit. I'm going to invite another guest over~" She then walked out of the library, and the mansion, without waiting for an answer.
Marisa woke up, and slowly opened her eyes... She soon wished she hadn't. For as soon as she figured out that she was in a castle made out of bookshelves, she knew that Patchouli was going to kill her. Or maybe try to, and then Flandre cause the end of the world... She had a feeling that Patchy's wrath would be worse. Much worse.
"F-Flandre?" she called out, "If it's okay for me to leave, don't say anything." She then proceeded to get up and try to slowly sneak her way toward the library entrance...

...boredboredboredboredboredboredboredboredboredMARISA!
Flandre, though she had been sitting on top of her castle, immediately heard the witch as she tried to sneak her way out of the library.
There was the sound of rushing wind as she took off, bouncing off a wall, and then speeding downward.
Marisa would probably feel the soon to be familiar "I'm screwed" feeling appear again... the moment that it was too late to do anything but accept the vampire glomp that was inevitably coming.

Of course, nothing was ever as easy as just sneaking out of the library. Ever. Except for fighting Rumia, or Nazrin without that pagoda, but that was irrelevant. In this case, she'd been trying to avoid being noticed by a vampire with super-sensitive stalker senses. She should have known that wouldn't end well.
Marisa was convinced that she was developing some sort of psychic powers to sense Flandre. If only they worked better... Once again, approximately two seconds before she felt the life being crushed out of her by the unconditional love of a very disturbed child, she got the OhcrudI'mscrewed feeling again.
"H-Hello Flandre..." she managed to gasp, "Could you loosen your grip, I don't want to pass out again..." She wasn't entirely sure why she wasn't dead already, but she didn't really want it to happen this time... Oh wait, Patchy. Maybe it would be best to die by hugs after all, it was gonna happen anyway...
Remilia continued to fly toward the youkai temple. No doubt Byakuren would be willing to come help... Again. And again and again and again...
Soon, she arrived, and walked right in. Soon she came to Byakuren's quarters. Remilia could hear some faint music playing, which was odd since no one was around... Then again, she had heard of things that could let music play being sold in that one shop... What was it called? Oh yes, Kourindou. It sold strange oddities from the outside world... Perhaps Byakuren had gotten something from there.
There was a lamp next to where Byakuren was sleeping, and Remilia turned it off, knowing full well the effects that total darkness had on this "Saint of the White Lotus." She then proceeded to lean down next to the sleeping monk's ear and whisper, "Wake up Byaku~"
She'd been having such a pleasant dream. She couldn't remember what it was about however, once it got interrupted by a voice. "Wake up Byaku~" It was a voice that she knew well. Too well. "Remi..." she groaned, "Why is it that every single night, I wake up to your voice?"
She then forced her eyes open, only to see... Nothing. There was nothing but complete darkness. "A-A-Aahhh!" she whimpered, "Darkness... Too much darkness..." She heard Remilia's laughter, before she suddenly saw light again... Sadly, it was not her lamp. No, the young vampire of her nightmares (and yes, she did sometimes have nightmares with Remilia in them...) had just made a new light, that somewhat resembled transparent, crimson flames.
"It's so easy to mess with you Byaku~" she heard Remilia say, "And as far as why you end up being woken up so often... Who else should I go to when Flan acts up? And I do think you're exaggerating as far as how often I come here." At this point, Byakuren had recovered from the darkness.
Byakuren sighed as she reached over and turned on her lamp, "Maybe I am exaggerating slightly, but it sure feels like you're here all the time... What is it this time?" She really hoped that whatever it was, it wouldn't be too late.
Remilia answered, "Oh, Flan built a castle in the library~ Out of the bookshelves~" Byakuren simply stared at her. "And how am I supposed to help with tha-" She paused. "Oh right, Patchy's reaction. Of course..."
Byakuren sighed as she held her head in her hands. She wasn't quite sure, but she had a very strong feeling that she ended up having to heal victims of Flandre more often than anyone else came to her for help. She was beginning to wonder if she should turn the temple into a ship again for just long enough to move to the edge of the Misty Lake. After all, it would save travel time...
But as it was, she had to travel a good deal further than that. "Well," she said to Remilia, "I suppose we should get going..." She then walked out of the temple and began heading toward the mansion before Remilia gave any more directions. She knew the way by heart...

Flandre did as she was told this time, making sure she didn't hurt Marisa anymore. After the danger of her passing out again had passed, the Scarlet younger sister cuddled into her. "You're awake! I made a castle here, so now if Patchy ever tries to drive you away, you can come stay with me! Isn't that great?" She said happily, her smile probably the most innocent Marisa had ever seen it.
