Hey, the only time something like that would happen is if you guys did something really stupid. So don't worry so much~ I don't rig my RNGs anyway.

Also Munashii, just wait until you meet some of the other Umidians I created. >:D

But geez, you guys didn't like do anything. Thoughts and what-not are dandy, but if you want to talk to someone you got to say the first sentence. They may or may not say anything to you if you don't initiate the conversation.

Anyway, moving on.

Naimis was rather echoy to say the least. Shouting on Naimis was like shouting at the top of a cliff or into a canyon. The sound spread quickly, easily and with in a few seconds everyone nearby was staring at Saeryin with quizzical expressions plastered on their faces. They only stopped and stared for a few seconds before returning to whatever they were doing.

The people working continued working.

The gossipers were now talking about that loud girl and theorizing on what she may have been shouting about.

The kids threw some cards and marbles at the whole party and then laughed at them. After that they began playing tag.

The rich guy scratched his head, shrugged and approached the party.

"Good afternoon. I am looking for people to explore the volcano because I believe there is something in there. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but if I could just find out I may be able to figure out what's causing these eruptions and I may be able to stop them."

He pulled out a huge wad of cash.

"I am willing to offer you more than enough money so that none of you would have to work another day in your lives. I am also willing to buy you a fine vessel."

He paused. He was clearly focusing on the three people that didn't look Naimish.

"Don't worry, exploring the volcano isn't nearly as dangerous as it sounds. Do you see those shiny rocks all over Naimis?"

He pointed to some shiny, translucent white rocks. They clearly weren't natural and were likely placed in strategic locations throughout Naimis.

"They prevent any fire from getting near you. I don't have any myself, but Morrengi is covered with them. You should be safe. So what do you say? Will you explore Morrengi for me?"

Shara almost winced when the girl shouted out. And it took some effort not to sigh in exasperation when asked what the gateway to the east was. Maybe ignoring her would be the best idea... Yes, it was. She didn't care how rude it was, she wasn't going to bother with this girl.

Naturally, the reactions of nearby people were less than friendly. While most of them simply moved on before long, some children did throw things at them. Shara looked toward them and narrowed her golden eyes slightly.

However, she then calmly looked toward Geist as he asked for suggestions on what to do next. Before she could respond, she was interrupted by the voice of the wealthy man from earlier. He apparently had decided to ask them now. She calmly turned toward the man, and listened as he explained.

Once he'd finished, Shara responded, "Perhaps... Hold on a moment." She then walked toward one of the rocks he'd pointed out, and summoned a bit of flame, to see if it did indeed repel the fire.

[Five-minute Cat Nap]

"Investigate Morrengi? True, a certain... member of this group may be sub-par in intelligence, but the rest of are most certainly not. Investigating a still live volcano is suicidal." Geist stated coldly, not noticing Shara's actions. His back went even straighter, as he glared at the man.

"If you have no idea what lies within, what use is sending a group within? Such a waste of time." Geist said, his voice strict. His eyes caught sight of Shara, though. "Halt, before you waste energy. Those only repel the Volcano's flames. While it may sound someone flimsy, as a citizen of Naimis I can testify to their effectiveness." He stated.

Shara was ignoring Saeryin. That was rude, to say the least. She had casually asked Shara a question, and gotten no answer. It wasn't her fault she knew nothing of Naimis.

When the kids threw things at her and the party, she turned and spoke.

"Hey!" she said. "Stop attacking my friends! That is unacceptable! If someone talks of invading my land, then by Triod I won't allow it!"

For some reason, she felt a bit foolish after saying it, though she couldn't quite comprehend why.

She then decided to focus on exploring this mysterious volcano.

"I guess I'll do it if everyone else wants to," she said. "Could be exciting."

Oh god damn it I hate you.

In any case, I don't really like talking to people, so I have somewhat of an excuse. At least I can reply.

Speaking of reply, god damn it I hate you again. I'm hoping her level of...well, anything, is less than the normal one. Otherwise...there might be a real reason why I'm here. *breath* *you know, in the mind*.

Did she just say Troid wrong? Sigh. No wonder she felt foolish (though Muna was not aware of this). In any case, there was a person that was bothering her now. Going into volcanoes was serious business. He probably didn't know what was in the volcano at all (or it is just some flimsy theory that doesn't count).

Time to evaluate:

Pros:
Money is always nice.
Figuring out what was in the volcano was also nice. Perhaps...
Oh, and maybe that girl might jump in the lava. That would be fun.

Cons:
It's a friggen volcano. If it erupts, which it does a lot (apparently), if the lava shooting out of the thing doesn't kill you, other things like death by heat will.
Is this guy even coming along? Didn't seem like it.
Knowing what's in the volcano without knowing what's in the volcano is rather...odd.
That and this guy might suddenly bolt on us, if we did find out what was in there, and take credit for everything. Of course, there was a way around that, if he didn't come along, we could say we did it and then include him. Plus, money.

Might as well address the cons.

"...Would these rocks protect us from a point blank eruption? Or the general super-heat of the volcano?"

One of the marbles that was being thrown at the party (most likely due to that other girl) was on the way to her head, but she simply just caught it, then flicked it in a different direction.

"*sigh* And if you are apparently afraid to go, then why do you think we would? The only way you would be able to convince me is if you came along. After all, if you knew how to stop it, you would be there to help us do so."

A brief thought of this guy actually trying to someone some evil beast from the volcano sprung to mind without explanation. It soon subsided.

Munashii knew now that she was stuck with these people. Oh Troid. Well, let's hope for the best.

Yeah.

Right.
