Until the sub-plot is over(ish), this will be my last character. For now. Any other people you meet inside the castle that some of you will eventually get in will be minor characters that are simply there to be a boss battle, (and will be either multiple people or not human enough to get a page) a low class grunt/nameless fairy, or something else.
And there's a 50% chance I missed something in here. Letting you know.
Name: Akkei
Age: 20 (young, but old enough)
Age Appearance: 20
Race: Youkai (and no kind in particular)
Gender: Female
Appearance: She is about 6 feet tall, has bright blue (very very blue) eyes, and black hair that looks sort of like this. Most of the time, she wears ebony armor (which is heavy, but offers good protection and she can actually wear it, also have a tasty link). She herself is actually quite skinny, weighing in under 130 lb. Of course, the armor makes her heavier, and therefore it becomes hard to maneuver. But, via illusions, she might not have to do that sort of thing, and her surprising strength makes it even easier. She does not wear the helmet though, having all that hair and it being stuffy and all. As if the armor was stuffy enough. She also wields an awesome sword that is about 5 feet long.
Personality: Her personality would actually depend on the situation at hand. When following orders, she does so to the letter at all(depending on the order of course) times, ignoring her second thoughts (if any) until the job is done. After all, she does have to get paid somehow. When not under any orders, she enjoys both being with and without people, depending on her mood. Though when she does not want to answer certain questions (questions she is not allowed to answer and those she does not WANT to answer) she quite simply won't answer them. At all. Even if you try to force the info out by...force. She is also curious, excessively so. It gets her into more bad situations than good ones, sadly. She is rather hard to taunt though, as she may even use illusions to mess with you (Ex: 'Your weak' might be replied with Akkei changing her appearance to either something that looks like The Hulk or going along with it and making herself look 100 years old.)
Abilities and Fighting Style: The complete control over most/all illusions of sight, smell, and a little of mind. She's better with sight than smell though, and only so-so with mind as stated before. In danmaku, this can be quite the trick, for obvious reasons (danmaku appearing out of nowhere, danmaku that really isn't there, danmaku appearing bigger or smaller than it actually is, ect. Other uses include making things look like they are there but aren't (accompanied with it's own scent for realism), making things that are there look like they aren't (and the removal of scent for added realism, currently what Kaosu's castle is under the effects of as per her orders...as of now). Smell is used for either to mislead (as explained earlier) or to annoy/distract (WHAT is that smell, oh god). Mind is used to mislead the mind, or control it altogether (the latter only possible if target has a weak mind or is K.O.ed). With controlling, it works two different ways: either she has direct control over the person (which is very hard to keep up) or give it some orders and watch the controlled one follow them. This is easier to keep up and requires almost no attention, but the control can be beat right out of them.
She also knows some heavy-swordplay, and if she uses it, expect a reckless attack backed by illusions.
Strengths:
Powers, obviously. Those be some good ones.
That and being surprisingly strong enough to wear heavy armor and an awesome sword and actually still being able to MOVE.
Lastly, she is very very persistent at doing what she thinks is right and some things that she is not quite sure that are right but is ordered to do those things. She'll keep at it until she's done doing them, is K.O.ed, or ordered to stop.
Weaknesses:
Certain people can see right through or at least more well in her illusions. Satori can see through illusions like they weren't even there, those that practice forms of mind magics can see better though them, those gifted with certain abilities that involve illusions can also see better though them (think Reisen), and those that have both of those can see though most of the illusion. Every one except the first can be reversed with more effort, but one can only try so hard/have enough energy...oh, and note this is also the case with scent and mind.
And that strength all comes from somewhere, and it can and will make her tired quite quickly. In short, she works in spurts. Long battles tire her. The more illusions she has to keep up, the more tired she gets alongside everything else. However, she can keep a small amount of illusions (or a single large one or whatever) up while asleep. This makes her need more sleep however, or she'll just wake up tired.
Curious. This is a bad thing, as unless she is specifically told to not look around/talk to people/what was that noise/ect she will do exactly that. Combined with her trust in other people she doesn't know enough of, it can get bad. Thankfully, she still follows orders from Kaosu no matter who you might be. Still, curiosity killed the cat.
History:
Another day, like any other. Go here, try to get a job that was important, fail because such things didn't exist anymore. Akkei wanted to leave her mark on the world, to do something important. And on top of all this, she needed money. Her parents had left her to pursue their own dreams, forgetting about Akkei completely. If perhaps she left her mark, they might explain themselves, but this thought that Akkei had was simply an afterthought: she didn't really care about them anymore. They had left her, and that was that. They didn't care, she didn't care.
One day, she was strolling one day in the Forest of Magic when she saw a rather odd looking castle appear out of nowhere. A strange little girl came out and looked at the castle, muttering something about a broken cloaker. Obviously, this castle was not meant to be seen, and Akkei was probably the best one to fix this mess. She wasn't seen though, as she had hid herself just to be safe. Akkei then made the castle seemingly vanish, and the girl was surprised, speaking to herself about the cloaking working again, better than predicted. But a shout came from inside: they never fixed it. The little girl then caught on (rather quickly) and asked whoever did this to 'show themselves, herself, himself, or whatever, just keep whatever you've done to the castle as is.' Akkei obliged to her request (she seemed of noble descent or something anyway) and introduced herself. What ended up following was the age-old recruitment process, and her position as the castle hider/guard was made. During this, she had asked why, and was originally against the whole idea when 'destroying the world' was brought up, but they explained the entire thing to her, and she understood. So, she was to make a mark by hiding this thing, and possibly do other things to aid Kaosu's master plan. If she didn't say yes to the offer, they noted that it would take too long to fix those cloakers, and they would be spotted too early, and they would be on their guard too much afterward to actually not make this world a big crater. With their goal in mind, she guarded. Thankfully, she could also hide herself, so no one messed with her and asked her the age-old question: 'what are you doing here'. And thankfully, she could keep some illusions up in her sleep, though that meant the sleep was rough, she was getting paid to just keep up this illusion, the one on herself and nothing else.
Plus, she actually cared about Kaosu's thoughts. Matter of fact, when the time came, she was going to investigate exactly how that sword got there. She knew there was something up, and she was perfect for that job too.
