Name: Tsukiko, Toshiko
Nicknames/Titles: Toshi
Age: 2468
Age Appearance: ...As old as I look, I guess. It better not be over 20.
Race: Lunarian
Gender: Female
Appearance: This is me in my normal wear.
This is also me, in more fancy wear. I will wear this, but if it's not directly stated, assume I'm wearing my normal wear.
Personality:
I like to keep to myself, unless a person is likable enough to stay around. In my case, such a person is a rarity, as I tend not to like people all that much. People are usually backstabbers, cowards, and some are just plain evil. It's hard to get my trust, for I trust almost no one. If you touch me for no reason, I'll quite simply try kill you. There's no telling what that touch could have done, especially here.
If you somehow manage to get my trust, I will open up to you. After all, people I know I can trust are rarities. I've got some nasty weights on my shoulders, and it really is a burden to keep them inside. However, I dare not say all this stuff to someone I don't trust. It doesn't feel good being teased with things I don't want people to know by an enemy, after all.
I fear nothing. Any issues are things that can be solved, hence the only things I'm scared of are things that have already come to pass, but are a part of life so it's not 'fear' it's 'don't want'. One shouldn't be scared of something before it happens, they should be sad when they fail to stop it. Or rotting, in the case of death. Things I don't exactly want to happen to me would be death (obviously), things worse than death, certain loved ones that I won't name being killed or worse, going into lethal situations, being betrayed directly or indirectly, ect.
I visited the (current) outside world at one point. MP3 players are apparently the rage. I can see why, and so I tend to have one of them with me at all times, so I can relax when there's no one around and I'm as safe as can be. Naturally, if I'm with anyone else I won't have it on. My playlist is absolutely massive. (Please don't ask about how I keep it charged. Just don't.)
Speaking of quiet, I like being alone. Having no one to worry about is a real blast. The exception is being with someone I can trust, in which case I'd rather have their company. Trust is a sacred thing.
Oh, and I like sleeping during the day.
Abilities and Fighting Style:
Well, here's the explanation for this, then. Pay attention.
Inside my body is another being, created due to my experimenting with my magic. I gave this spirit life, but she can't come out of my body and hence shares it with me, as an inside voice. After creating her, I could no longer cast magic, but she could. She does the magic, I move the body. When the body is hurt, we both feel pain, and when she casts magic, we both get tired. I feel more pain though, and she gets more tired. If I'm knocked out, she's still there, and can cast magic until I'm 'knocked out some more'.
She does sleep, and tries to be awake when I am. If she's asleep, then I can't cast magic. If she's awake and I'm asleep, she can still cast magic. Therefore, it looks like I can defend myself while I sleep, but I'm not really the one doing it. I tend to wake up right after, due to being woken by the spirit. Both of us aren't fans of taking shifts, so we usually sleep as we will (but trying to stay awake together anyway, as an experience is only complete if we both have it, and both f us have to be awake in a fight).
She can cast a good amount of dark magic, and has lots of spells to buff me with. On knowing that I could no longer cast magic, I trained in the art of the spear. Which is good, because the only person she normally buffs is me. She can buff pretty much every stat, so I'm equipped for most situations. Giving that she's, you know, awake. I'm pretty good with the spear too, so even if she is asleep, I can still fight.
Funny thing: If my magic is 'silenced'/blocked, she can't talk during that time. It really is silence magic now. Eh-heh.
I'm stronger at night, or rather, Samishii (that's her name) is stronger at night. And during the full moon, she can manifest herself in a non-physical form. She can cast magic away from me then, making us a two person army. When not physical, she can pass through anything and everything, including all forms of attack. But when I'm hit, she's drawn back to my body instantly. She can leave right away again, though, and she can invoke this teleportation back to me at will. (It's only to me, though, which has it's ups and downs.) She also can't go too far away from me, or she'll get tired. When I can't cast magic, she's forced inside my body again (and still silenced).
By the way, I'm a good flier (but only Samishii can use the magic of flight on me).
To organize:
At night during any time that isn't a full moon, Samishii can make me fly, cast darkness magic, and buff any stat she wishes. We take two actions: She does something while I do something. Attacking while casting magic isn't a big deal, we just do our own things.
During the day, her flying is harder, her darkness magic is weaker and slower, and her buffs are weaker. She's probably sleepy, too.
During a full moon (when the moon is fully in the sky), she can 'come out of me' in order to attack from other locations. Watch out, for she's impossible to hit (she's transparent, so it goes through her). I can still get hit though. She can also talk to people other than me if she chooses, but can still talk to me without anyone else hearing as before, even when outside. No extra things or power boosts.

Weaknesses
History:
This is really long. I thought you should know this. I'm cutting out a lot of the useless parts though, because then I'd be overdoing it.
(Why am I doing this to begin with?)
(Because if you don't, you won't exist. I won't either, so chop chop.)
(...Fine, I guess. I have no choice anyway.)
I am a Lunarian. I was born on the moon a very long time ago. I was pretty normal(ish), and everything proceeded as what naturally would on the moon roughly 2468 years ago. I don't remember the specifics of daily life, as that was forever ago and I don't need to remember it.
The most important thing that happened on the moon was me getting thrown off of it, really. Or rather, why I was thrown off.
Given the time I had during this life, I frequently went to someone else's house to experiment with my magic. My magic was quite unstable, so I wasn't going to do it at my own place. Plus, this guy had a bunch of special equipment, so I wasn't going to pass up that opportunity. I did this without permission, as the guy that lived there was cranky when he actually WAS home.
At one point, I really went crazy with the experiments. Perhaps it was because my mind was still young. The end results of that one resulted in a rather large explosion, which I managed to survive. Remember: Lunarians don't die by age, but they can die by explosions. Panicked, I ran away from the scene, as I wasn't allowed to be there anyway.
I got away, but something weird happened to me. I no longer had my unstable magic, but I had a nagging voice in my head. I thought nothing of it for the moment, as I was a little too scared to be caught as the one that made the explosion. Samishii was born, and I was totally unaware of it.
Back then, I made friends like a normal person (or rather the number of friends a normal person should have), and told one of them about my trips. When the guy came back home after a week-long vacation to other parts of the moon, you could easily say he was not happy to see his house being repaired after a large-scale explosion, and placed a reward for the person that could find the one that did this or how it happened, and a bonus for turning the person in. Clearly, I should have picked my friends better. She gave the full story, and knocked me out as I slept in order to turn me in to the authorities. She's probably living like a rich slob now...
In any case, it was eventually decided that I was to be exiled to Earth. I hated the idea for quite a while, and down I went regardless. I had a pick-up time, so I wasn't TOO worried...well, until later, when I realized I was completely helpless without my magic. Then I freaked out. The last thing I saw was my 'friend' in the crowd.
Life sucked. But regardless, I continued living. Death wasn't an option now. However, working on not dying would be a rather hard thing to do without any magic in me, and hence I had to find another option. I began practicing with spears, for I liked them more than the typical sword and whatnot. After a few hundred years, several important things happened.
First, Samishii finally started to truly surface. She began to just speak at first, like a voice inside my head. I was convinced that I was going crazy due to the drastic changes in my lifestyle, but on some full moon, she cast a darkness spell just to show me that I wasn't going crazy. I, of course, thought I was going even more crazy, until she used it to save me from a group of crazy people while I was sleeping. Based on the particular tools that they had on them (weirdly shaped knife, candlestick, a red-stained paintbrush, and other such things), I assume that they were going to do some ritualistic sacrifice to a dark god or something like that. Now I knew that I was not going crazy, and we've been together ever since. She only kept her powers during a full moon for a few years, she then improved and now has bonus powers during the full moon and her full moon powers as her normal set. With my training, we were a hard to stop force, destroying anything that decided to take a fancy in killing me and whatnot.
This isolation gave me plenty of time to brew my thoughts, and they certainly weren't getting any nicer. My distrust of everything except Samishii (obviously) grew tenfold, and I actually preferred hunting and eating in the wild over the life in villages. I did kill a few troublesome youkai and humans for money so I could have a few fancy things, and it was sometime while doing that when the world around me was sealed from the everything else forever more. I forgot the details exactly, but the sky suddenly burst into lightning, the land was flooded (I was too busy nearly drowning to remember it too clearly), and for an instant, everything went dark. I vividly remember being above the water at that time, so I was scared out of my mind. This was said to be the work of a powerful god called the 'Dragon'. When some sages pled for eternal peace with the Dragon (I only heard about this later), everything stopped. I eventually realized I was cooped inside a barrier, known now as the Great Hakurei Border.
Shortly after (and I mean a few days), Samishii learned how to fly. Great timing.
And that's how I got to Gensokyo. But much more happened than that, to my pleasure and dismay (mostly joy followed by dismay, because the world is a jerk). Not including all the random encounters with youkai and humans of malicious intent, I met someone that actually saved me a few times. I'm not saying his name, for who knows what would happen if anyone else found out his name, but let's just say he stalked me for a while, and then openly traveled with me after making a few good points (one of which was that he saved me those times, and there wouldn't be a point in saving someone that one wanted to kill, plus I kind of owed him my life right now, at least not going alone would be nice). I suspected he had a crush on me or something, and go figure, I was right. But he didn't seem bad, and you know what let's just cut the mushy details I eventually married him. He remained the only other one I could trust but Samishii, actually. Cutting out more mushy details and censoring certain things like the Victorian era (I read about that in a book, where I got this book was on a dead body that I didn't create, don't ask), I plucked a kid from the cabbage patch. I'd name her here, but if you took a few minutes, you would be able to figure it out. It didn't take long for things to suddenly slap me in the face for no good reason. For starters, I just married a human. They don't have long lifespans.
I wonder what the Lunarians back home would have thought about that. I wonder if I care. Hmm...nope, not a shred. Jerks.
Second, he was quickly attacked by a strange group that managed to have some strange prophecy about my kid, who was quickly kidnapped along with my husband. I tracked both of them down and holy dear god, they were both about to be eaten by some gigantic THING coming from a most likely unstable portal. Both kidnapped people were asleep/knocked out (it was a quiet giant THING, however the hell that works) and I was forced to take action by tearing down what looked like it was keeping the portal intact, which worked. I then had to kill everyone ELSE in the room, which I did with no remorse whatsoever.
Soon afterward, I discovered that they were an entire underground (not IN the underground, rather a shady secret kind of) cult, and the name and appearance of her for every single year of her possible existence was pictured everywhere in a few books, among other things. Knowing that there was no way to keep her away from them, I began wondering what happened to the outside world, and managed to get a great deal of information about it. When I'm really pressed, I can do these things.
I learned that it was also a dangerous place, but everyone lacked special powers there, so they were easier to repel. Not to mention that due to the police, people usually weren't keen on beating others up. However, I still wanted to send her there, but the fact that she could still get killed there without too much effort on crazy people's part wasn't good. If only there was a way to keep her safer...
My kid was an odd child, having no special powers. I mean, even her father had them, and she got none. What was the deal with that? In any case, knowing how people got these things to begin with was now a top concern to me, and so I read through several long books to figure out if there was a way. On a whim, I read a few reliable newspapers too (not like Aya's, which were probably lies in a bag, but some papers that always had truth in them (that I checked, too) so I couldn't be fooled) and discovered that something came from the moon. That shouldn't even be possible, but weirder things have happened. (Like those ghosts everywhere. With the tongues. Weird cannon fodder, but OK, those were weird. I think they even had hats.)
It crashed (not landed, crashed) at...so and so, where I promptly sped before anyone else got there. It was a device that I bet no one that wasn't Lunarian would be able to figure out...more magic equipment. And after I checked that it was what I thought it was, I decided to mess with it, forgetting my sense of sanity in the process. I think something in my mind went off. It's all better now, and I know now not to mess with things. Even when I know what I'm doing, things tend to explode in my face. Like now, AGAIN.
Well, the end result of that was a glowing orb and a knocked out for about a minute Samishii. When she woke up, she knew that she was missing a part of her power, and we both realized that the explosion 'knocked the stuffing out of her' (or at least some of it). Samishii was sure that the orb of power wasn't lethal, she knew that it would simply give the person that touched it some sort of special power (that was apparently dormant in Samishii, but not anymore). Samishii then made the suggestion to give that power to Toshiko's kid, and thus things were set in motion and the powered-up kid was sent to the outside world, in an orphanage.
I checked on her a while afterward and it turned out that she was cast out for the power she had, and put in a bit more danger with it than without. Samishii was promptly apologizing, but it turned out it would have been for the best in the end anyway. I also picked up a neat MP3 player on one of my visits there. Thing has been with me ever since.
...It's a complicated spell. I was curious, on all occasions.
Something happened a few years later, that I would curse fate for: my hubby vanished, with only the trace of a foreign magic to blame, a magic that could not be traced. I know for a fact he's alive (not that feeling inside, that told me he was deader than dead, but it was a magic stone that said he was alive, one that was mighty hard to tamper with). I'm currently out to look for him, wherever he went. He is one of the only people in this world that I can trust after all. I did a checkup on my child a little while later...
To find out she was gone too (and her little friend). I heard that she just robbed a place then bolted...
I had a feeling I knew what was going on here. I traveled in the direction she went at a really quick speed, and eventually came across some weird crater with weird metal in it.
I recognized this metal as a part of an advanced ship that came to Gensokyo years earlier. (I did not participate in the little game involved, remember who I am).
Why does this happen? It seems I have two people to look for now. At least my chances to find ANYONE at this point have increased. It seems I'm going to be busy. Where has everyone ran off to...
Oh, and my pick-up date expired like 100 years ago. Heh, I don't really care anymore. Just wondering. You'd think they could have gotten through by now.
Also, I wonder if that cult will try chasing me now...it's probably going to end in a dog-cat-toy game. The dog chases the cat and the toy, and will probably break both. (AKA The cult.) The cat just wants to play with the toy and get it away from the dog so it doesn't break it. (AKA Me.) And the toy is most likely helpless, and would rather not be broken. (AKA my kid.) At least that's how I see it.

Strengths
- Just because I'm down doesn't mean I'm an easy target or out.
- Great team support...of course, that's pretty much just me. Eh-heh. If I somehow manage to get on a team, I'd be great support.
- Spears are great at stabbing, and I am great with spears. Combined with the magic, I'm pretty powerful.
Weaknesses
- Samishii is REALLY hard to wake up. Catch her napping, and it'll just be me and my spear for at LEAST 3 posts, one of these posts involving her being REALLY groggy. Either that, or I suffer heavy damage. Then she'll wake up. She likes taking naps during times of peace, so more than half of the time, this will be the case.
- I'm sensitive to light. Marisa would probably utterly crush me as I shield my eyes from the Master Spark. I also take more damage from light attacks, so yeah. And if I tried something like wearing sunglasses, I'd go blind if it was the night, and it'd probably be too much light anyway in the day.
- Speaking of the day, god forbid if I'm attacked during it. Samishii is bound to be asleep, I'm weaker, and I'm probably sleepy too.
