Personality:
Katriance is quite nice. She believes that all life matters and will do anything to protect her friends. She doesn’t get mad very often (but when Nerys is a threat she will indeed be VERY angry towards her) and has a good sense of direction. She believes everyone has the potential to be a hero (except for Nerys who is obviously hopeless) and will try to get people there.
If someone is hurt, Katriance will get mad at whoever is responsible (if anyone is) and if said person does it enough times Katriance will strike at them but will regain control of herself fairly quickly. She can also easily get into a bad situation in an effort to protect her friends, and yes, she will do ANYTHING to save them.
If she is very sad about something, she will shut herself away from everyone else and refuse to speak to anyone. This is the time when she is weakest.
She is also a bit paranoid. If it seems like she will lose she will try to escape, and she will try not to do certain things that would most likely lead to bad things. Sometimes she becomes a little bossy in telling people to "not go in there--it is too dangerous" amd the like.

She has a sword that changes colors from red to blue and back. She uses telekinesis to move this sword and when it hits, it makes the target think time has stopped when it really hasn’t. Through the target's eyes, it will seem as though nothing is moving and feel like they are rooted to the spot, and most likely be scared to move, even though the feeling is just a manipulation of the senses. This illusion will last for 4-5 minutes. The sword can be dodged, and a good hit will stop the illusion and restore them to their senses.
Abilities and Fighting Style:
She can make illusions. The illusions only alter sight, however, with the exception of the “time-stopping” sword she has. She has power over two of the elements:
Rising Water (water)—Two waterfalls will go up (yes, UP) out of the ground and then fly toward the opponent. This is easy to dodge, and Katriance must be on some sort of ground ground for this to work.
WindWaker Leap (wind)—This will allow to her jump VERY high up. This will work as long her feet on touching the ground, although sometimes when she’s feeling extra-powerful she is able to do it when she’s up in the air.

Weak magic (stuff that would only slightly damage an ordinary person) won't hurt her, good illusions, quick thinker

Underestimation of enemy, illusions can be seen through by stronger people, overprotective
History:
Katriance is one of many Spirits of Time. The others are her sisters. (Yes, Katriance was born before time, as she was one of the ones who brought it into existence.) Way back before Gensokyo was sealed off and youkai were attacking humans, she built a small palace on an "island" in the middle of a lake near the Forest of Magic. Here, she tried to keep human/youkai conflicts down. When Gensokyo was sealed off, she no longer had to stop youkai from going to the outside world, and since then, she had acted as a protector who didn't expect a thing in return.
But then, much more recently, a group of Fallen Sages and their leader, Nerys, began to plot a takeover of Gensokyo. Nerys knew the potential of Gensokyo's power, and she schemed to take it and use it for herself. However, she ran into Katriance who sealed her in the ominous temple-look alike she built, but now Nerys has broken the seal. Not only does she want the power, but she also wants to get revenge on Katriance. So what Katriance is now trying to do is protect Gensokyo from Nerys.
