Sui is 5 foot 11 inches with an athletic build and toned, well defined muscles.He has sapphire blue eyes set in a face that seems child-like while portraying great maturity.His hair is as black as the night with ice blue highlights.His skin is pale like the home he loves so well, but when exposed to the sun, it darkens to a light tan with a reddish tint.
Personality:
Sui is thoughtful to an immense degree which sometimes leaves him lost to his surroundings. He possesses a mature outlook on life which causes him to miss out on the simpler joys. He is extremely emotional as well, but he keeps this hidden behind a mask of indifference which makes him seem cold-hearted and even sarcastic at times. He holds on to the past and is rarely forgiving of anyone who has done him past harm unless they can show him that they have undoubtedly changed. His time in Gensokyo has taught him to relax his views a little and laugh with peers, but this is a sight that is so rare that many consider it nonexistent or the product of a drunken state.Sui is strong in honor, loyalty, and honesty unless a situation calls for him to tell half-truths so that the listener misunderstands. He will not fight senseless battles and makes an effort to find a solution to leave his opponent alive, but does not hesitate to end a life if his or an innocent's life is threatened. Sui's entire personality can be summed up with one word: contradiction.

Ambitions/Desires:Sui's ultimate goal is self-realization. He wants to attain a level of understanding and satisfaction that gives him total control over all aspects of himself and opens up new planes to him.He wants to be in union with his heart and soul and have his mind fall in line so that he is in essence, equalized to a state of metaphysicality.
Weapons:Masamune: This sword seems to shimmer as if its under water. Sui can control this sword as if it is an extension of his arm and is said to be the greatest of the Masamune swords. Strange enough though, it doesn't bear the Masamune signature leading some to believe it is fake, but in reality Sui obtained the knowledge of how to make the sword and infused his magic into the sword. He keeps the true knowledge of it to himself.
Abilities and Fighting Style:
His fighting style is based on his speed as his strength cannot to stand up to enemies who match him. His style is a form of Tai Chi that makes him appear as if he moves fluidly from one movement to the next.This allows him to deliver deadly strikes and employ his more special ability. Sui has an affinity for water which allows him to manipulate it as he sees fit and use many other fascinating techniques. This affinity allows him to heal and fight with water in all forms and often aids him in immobilizing his opponent so that the battle does not go too far.

He has a low self-esteem and scotomaphobia. Sui also has an extreme intolerance for anger and will act against it on impulse which lands him in a lot of unnecessary fights.
History:
Sui Hitama was born on the moon, but his parentage is unknown to all but those able to divine the knowledge. His memories of those early years are vague so that he knows little and though some have said he could reveal the truths to himself, he chose not too. He grew into a boy with immense understanding and mental capacity. He started to read and grew ever more intelligent by the day and eventually he came across the idea to train the body with the mind and thus started delving into the knowledge of fighting and war. The extent of his knowledge isn't quite known,but some are bold enough to compare him to Eirin Yagokoro. Sui knows that this is a foolish notion, but sometimes hopes that he could at least hold his own with her. One day, Sui noticed that his bath water acted strangely and came to realize his ability over water. He slowly developed this ability alongside his fighting style while continuing to satiate his curiosity for knowledge. He soon started experimenting with his abilities and realized that by energizing the water in his cells , he could effectively stop his age.He honed it by aiding the natural process of diffusion and that resulted in only 5% of his ability being used. He had heard of the events surrounding the Hourai Elixir and feared that the knowledge he had acquired would be seen in this shadowed light, so he fled after the passing of two full moons. In that time he mastered his capabilities and set up plans should he ever needed to return.Also, there was rumor that he created a stone in that time that seemed to make the holder feel energized, as if they were younger or just not feeling their age.He left soon after this rumor started. The common belief to other Lunarians is that Sui left the Moon because of his loneliness and curiosity for more knowledge. While these factors influenced the decision later on, they did not create and provide the fundamental support that made it a necessity.
