How Boring (OPEN)

Koto grumbled slightly "well to tell you the truth,, I don't know what the thing was, so I'm just calling it the thing....it doesn't matter anyway...the monstrous thing is dead it seems... I don't know where it came from though..didn't seem like it was from the forest at all, and for all I know it was after us cause it was hungry... I really have no clue..it just came after us.. I set Sarah down near one of the rivers, then ran to lure the damn thing away from where she was that's all.." he shook his head again "the whole thing is just kinda frustrating okay..made even more frustrating by your questions..."

He pushed on. "and knowing my little sister like I do she going to wander around aimlessly till she finds someone that knows where I am...." he stopped a moment, then his ears dropped back "Or...someone who says they know where I am..." he sped up a bit more "We have to find her!!" he yelped some, his eyes got more worried.

Koto looked around. sniffing around, his ears twitching up " dammit...her scent isn't anywhere..not even a small trace of it..." his ears dropped back more" This worries me..."

Aya felt like she was beginning to understand why he was so afraid of her paper. Put bluntly, he was totally incompetent. So this "thing" attacked them so he put his sister down, lured the thing away from her and killed. Alright, that part makes sense. However, he didn't think to remember where he left her? He didn't bother to remember where the nearest city was? He didn't think it was important to tell her to stay put and to not go looking for him? He didn't even seem to remember how long ago all this happened. His attitude was cute, but this was just embarassing.

Aya just sighed and taped her notebook against her forehead. What was even sadder was that he didn't even seem to be making any of this up. Sure, with the way the situation was going she wouldn't have been at all shocked if he simply started lying to her to get her to shut up, but this was just way too pathetic to be a lie; he seemed way to scared for this to be a lie. She really wasn't sure what to make of this anymore. Fortunatly for him the story was cute, so she would follow through with her offer. Sadly, it seemed like she'd be scouring all of Gensokyo for this kid. He'd better be damn appriciative.

"Alright, alright, I'll get going. But...Uh...You seem rather worried about something. I'm not going to get mauled by a thing when I go looking for her am I?"

"Koto shook his head "no you shouldn't be mauled by anything.. I'm just worried about...well.." He closed his eyes " Sarah..when shes alone..she seeks help from people...any people at all she can find, Al they would need to say to get her to trust them was that they knew where I was...She would believe them, but shes too little to know any better...." His ears dropped back. He seemed so worried.

" I... I had set her down... when she was asleep..." he said still sounding worried. : I figured..that if she was asleep, she would still be in that same spot when I got back..but I lured the damn monster too far away y and I lost track of where I left her, I couldn't even find her scent anymore..." he was trying not to cry " I don't want her to think I just abandoned her...She needs to be safe.." he sped up some "She needs too."


He started running some, but stopped, he looked at her, but not wit the glaring face he had before " Be careful.." he growled some "cause even though you might not get attacked by the monstrous thing...theirs someone that might if you know me or her..." He snarled slightly and looked down " Look out for a blue haired youkai with horns and wings.... that's all I need to tell you..."

He never did tell her how much of the border he had already explored. Oh well, if she's going to be forced to search all of Gensokyo anyway she might as well actually search all of it. Aya sighed again. He still wasn't making sense. Okay, so this thing appears and attacks them while his sister is asleep. He sets her down without waking her up first and lures the thing away. That was even stupider than she initially thought. First off, what if there was more than one thing? She would be freaken devoured in her sleep and that would be a terrible way to go. Second, it wouldn't be at all unreasonable for the thing to make a loud sound, particularly when it was about to die. What if she woke up because of that loud sound? All of a sudden she would realize that she was all alone and that her older brother would be in danger. Of course she would go looking for him! He didn't want his sister to think he just abandoned her? Then why the hell did he set her down while she was asleep? He coudl have at least woken her up. Ayayaya. Aya was actually starting to question whether or not it was even responsible of her to even consider leaving a small child alone with this guy.

Eh, but she honestly didn't want to have to watch some kid by herself, and she had already pawned too much work into Momizi lately, so she would return the girl to him as originally planned. She didn't quite undersand why he was so worried about her asking other people. Youkai don't generally eat other youkai, particularly if they're small and scrany, and if she ran into an exterminator she would be killed before she could even ask. Then again, they did have some secret, so there was probably more to the story than that. She made a mental note about this blue-haired youkai, but she wasn't too worried. He apparently wasn't the thing, and Aya was stronger than most youkai anyway. Perhaps that was why he was so worried about her asking people? He could be potentially dangerous if she wasn't aware that he was a threat.

"Got it. I just need to know one more thing. When I do find her where should I meet you?"

It would be rather pointless to go looking for her without knowing where to return her. Aya really didn't want to have to search all of Gensokyo for this girl and then search all of Gensokyo again for Koto.

Koto looked around abit more, his nose twitched a little bit, he sighed and closed his eyes "that human village... the one thats close to this area...meet me there, I dont know what its called, but I know that place really well and I know my way too it, so it would make sence to meet there Aye?" he closed his eyes again. He sniffed the air again. "And remeber to watch out for the blue haired guy...oh..and if you hear an explosion...it might be a good idea to go that direction..."

He didnt explain why. He kept walking now. He didnt feel like explaing why she should follow an explosion, even if it sounded weaird... I mean why would you do toward something that sounded dangerious. But he didn't explin and just kept on walking. Letting out a small winded sigh.

"I hope your not dragged into this entire thing too.." he said quietly, he was speaking to himself again. "The last thing I want is anyone else to be pulled into this hell..."

"It's...Uh...Called the Human Village. Whoever created it apparently wasn't very creative with names. Anyway, that seems like a good place to meet. Well then, I'm off~"

Aya spread her black wings and darted into the sky. The gust of wind she generated from the take off was actually strong enough to knock over a nearby crispy tree. Her speed was so great that she seemed to just instountaniously vanish, but in reality she had just flown a reasonable distence in a matter of seconds. That alone should prove to Koto that A) she wasn't even trying to keep up with him before, and B) that he speed is as great as she said it was.

As she flew she couldn't help but think how silly he was. Cute, but very silly. Aya was a reporter, and no one ever has to tell a reporter to chase explosions for any reason. Explosions means that there's something happening, normally something bad. Something bad means that there's a high chance that she would get a story out of it. Sure, it was a little weird to think about in this case since it seemed so out of place, but the very idea of telling a reporter to chase explosions was rather humerous. As was the idea of not wanting to pull her into "this hell." Hell was good, hell was exciting, hell provided her with some great material. The thoughts of "normal" people were always so funny.
