Midmorning Insomnia (Open)

Another day, another lock-up. Seiun was trapped as per schedule inside a rather unassuming house, with no one seeming to be guarding the place. Actually, she was supposed to be guarded in case something happened, but it seemed that the guards had the attention span of...is that a butterfly?

Seiun, however, could not get any sleep. Though it was dark inside, (the unassuming house lacked windows, but it had plenty of chains on the inside) she was unable to sleep, knowing outside that it was daytime, people were going about their business, having fun...

She broke into a quiet sob. She was having the least amount of fun possible, being chained in the room (the chains were long, thankfully) and having the memories stuck in her head. The death of countless innocents, even the children, the destruction of the towns, the forest, everything...gone. And by her hand. She felt it.

There was a few things assuming about the house, however. One, it had no windows. What kind of house has no windows, really. Secondly, it was a house in the FOREST OF MAGIC. You would either had to be a youkai or just plain insane to build a house here, really. Lastly, it looked too unkempt, like someone was living here but made a complete mess of everything. Odd enough for investigation? Maybe.

Kinu walked through the forest, breathing in the strong scent of pine. As she kept walking, a house seemed to appear out of nowhere. ~That's weird,~she thought,~I've never seen this house before.~ She kept walking more slowly, to find that the house was guarded, and had no windows. The guards looked distracted, and probably would fail to guard whatever was so important should any real trouble come along.She decided to investigate further, knowing fully well whatever trouble she got into could be easily avoided.

The guards were indeed distracted, though they weren't actually chasing butterflies. They were distracted by a noise, one that seemed to persist yet they could not find out what was making it as it changed locations. They ended up going farther and farther away from the house, not even looking at it anymore. They haven't exactly vanished from view yet however.

Akkei just loved messing with demons. It was fun. Though she knew that she couldn't go into the house, because then she would be too far away from what she really had to be doing. Besides, they should refocus eventually, right? No one could see her, or even smell her, so there was no worry to be discovered unless she happened to badly screw up.

The place did have a door though. It, too, looked old. Seiun didn't know there was someone out there, and continued on her thought train, and the sobbing.

...So, why were 2 guards guarding what appeared to be an abandoned shack?

As her ears perked up, listening to the guards chase after some random sound, Kinu slipped unnoticed in to the back door of the house. She crept through the house, listening for anything unusual, then pausing. She heard a sobbing noise come from down the hall. She silently tip-toed down the hall, bracing herself for whatever lay beyond the door.

The guards were never the wiser to her entry. Akkei saw this, and wondered what was in there yet again. It was probably something that was supposed to stay in, so she just would have loved to see the look on their faces when it was gone. So, she continued to lure them here and there, being sure to make them not realize they weren't guarding. Suckers.

Seiun heard the noise, and noticed the light of the great outdoors. Were the guards here to taunt her (again)? Was someone else there, a savior? Was she about to only consider this in her head?

"W-who's there?"

She was chained up, the origin of the chain being the floor and being attached to her hands, like handcuffs. However, though the chains were long enough to allow a little bit of walking, the chains were quite obviously restraining her from going over there and checking herself. Incidentally, because demons made the chains, they were quite strong. However, that says nothing about where the chains were actually attached, the wall.

As Kinu walked closer to the door, she heard a voice.
"W-who's there?"
She walked into the doorway, seeing a woman, looking a bit older than she did, ,though seeming to be younger. She cleared her throat, and spoke. "Hello my name is Kinu. What are you doing here?"

On her reply, she was thankful to know Kinu was not out to get her like how everything else seemed to be. Of course, the mental trauma made her seem younger, for sure. Seiun decided to respond, knowing that her face was still tear-stained she decided that hiding the sorrow was not going to happen anytime soon.

"...And my name is Seiun. I am being kept here against my will, so..."

There wasn't really a reason to mention the 'demon locked in her body aspect' just yet however, so she didn't say anything about it.

And then a hole was blown in the wall, interrupting her. The guards heard it from wherever they were at, and went to investigate. What they were going to find was a perfectly normal wall. If Cross went in the wall, then there would be no one there, and they wound really start to wonder. They weren't really paying attention to their ears, thankfully, and they didn't hear what was going on. Akkei then made an explosion just like what Cross did in a different location, and again made it look like it never happened. It certainly was fun messing with clueless guards.

However, this certainly didn't go noticed by Seiun, who got scared again. The other person was nicer in her eyes, and didn't blow up the wall to get through. She assumed the person was a demon, and promptly fainted. Mental trauma can do that sort of thing, to the point that even thinking the word demon made her cringe. Demons out to get her scared to to the point of fainting.

Inside her, the demon turned in it's sleep. Explosions were entertaining to it, and it made itself look nice in the dream it was having. Though, it was still an explosion.

By the way, one could notice that the illusion to keep the guards from knowing what happened was really an illusion from one side, and it was partly see-through. On the other side, it was like the wall was a wall, unbroken. Touching it would make the hand go through like it wasn't there at all, which was really the case. And of course, the pieces of the wall leftover were hidden as well, but noticing one of them was possible.

"What the-" Kinus' voice trailed off with the explosion. The guards didn't notice it though, to her advantage. A muscular demon blew the hole and then another was blown by something else. Seiun did notice though, and fainted. Kinu rushed over to her side, and caught her. She laid Seiun down on the floor and started to work at the chains with her sword. She summoned a wolf spirit to continue on the other one carefully. Once she finished, she took off the shackle things from her hands. She looked at Seiun, and brushed her hair back, not remembering that there were another two people possibly there.

"sorry about that..the wall was in my way"

The freeing of Seiun felt like a nightmare sequence to the demon inside her. It was enough to wake it up (Seiun opened her eyes, of course, glowing red unlike before), and seeing that there was a hidden hole in the wall, broken chains, someone right next to her that might as well be deemed what would have been Seiun's savior...oh hell. The demon revived Seiun's conscious (though you would not notice her, she is certainly awake, seeing, feeling, and everything else but moving) and proceeded to speak:

"Ugh...people. Far too meddlesome. It's far easier for your lives if you don't get involved. Unless of course 'getting involved' now means to fix the chains that had my human side all locked up, but as you don't have a way to do that if I guess correctly, it would be wise to leave before I call the guards...or beat you up myself. I'll have to get new chains now, perhaps with a security system built in or something..."

This was obviously not the same person. Matter of fact, it had their appearances memorized in order to either get info on them later or see that they are just another low-class warriors and have them assassinated. This is of course assuming it decides not to try to kill them both. Of course, with Cross it would certainly fail, but...

The random explosions continued outside, calling her attention to the fact that the whole group actually looked planned from here, was ready for a fight, though not appearing so. Of course, the fight wouldn't hurt hit (it would certainly hurt the girl, fufufu), and if she died...well sucks to be the human. It could probably last a while in the dead body, enough for people to retrieve the soul inside and put it in a different body. They will have gotten nowhere. The guards remained oblivious to it all. What lunkheads.

She smiled. "Oh, the wall? Its okay, you just startled Seiun-"her voice stopped as she backed away from Seiun's body. What had been human just moments ago now stank of demon. Seiun's eyes turned red, and she spoke in a different tone of voice. Kinu stumbled around the room, knowing only that her head was on fire from the demon presence. She summoned a fighting fox spirit to help her if need be, but more likely to guard her from the demon. She fell back to the wall, clutching her head in agony. All the while there were more explosions outside.

"deamon...i am cross the god of lightning"
electricity crackled across hisbody as he walked over to the possest girl
"release this girl or i'll...well.."
he smiled
"you'd rather not find out"

The explosions seemed to fade away however...perhaps better guards were needed, the statue kind or something. And apparently Kinu's head was on fire, and the demon enjoyed every second of it, and left her. After all, her head was on fire, what more could it ask for? It looked at her and chuckled, then turned to Cross, chuckling at him as well.

"Oh, the god of lightning wants me to release the girl huh? Ha. Try me. I dare you."

Either he would not attack, kill the girl's body thus making her move out and the demon able to act like it was no longer there, blow UP the body in which case the girl would certainly be lost anyway, or wound the body but not cause any pain. Suckers.

Lightning god? Demon?~Oh, just go ahead and add to my headache! I DON'T MIND AT ALL!~she thought angrily. They looked like they might start fighting. ~Better call in some more back up before my head explodes....~her thought trailed off from the pain in her head. "Emiko,"she said softly. A large black wolf appeared in front of her. "Oh, what have you done now?"the wolf said, irritated. "It wasn't my fault, I just wanted to help,"Kinu protested. "Will you still help me out? I'm in a bit of a fix,"she said more softly. The wolf nodded her head, understanding the need. The mistress of wolves didn't have anything else to do.
