The moon light danced against the ebb and flow of the lake water. It's tongue lapping against the cold dead fingers of a girl who lay beneath Seth's figure, her body moved only by the wind. It was too late. He'd heard her heart beat. Heard it slow, but he didn't stop, couldn't stop....the thirst was maddening, he hadn't drank in so long...and this was the result, another corpse, just on the edge of life, but he didn't stop on time...again.
Seth kneeled motionlessly above her, as he had when he'd taken her life from her. One hand covering his mouth as though to throw up, but he felt better, he'd been in pain coming up to now, and he could almost feel the fresh taste of life sooth each inner organ. With a soft growl he dropped his hand and stood up. "I'm so sorry" he whispered to her corpse, moving his hand over her face to close her eyes. He was already dead, just too frightened to admit it, like any vampire. He turned and walked away from her, eyes cast down, a scowl across his features to hide any sympathetic look that might have otherwise been shown as he moved away from his latest crime, he had to be quick though, if anything saw he'd be a dead man...as in honestly dead dead, and despite his crimes, and how much he did or didn't deserve it, he still couldn't yet face death and hide like a child to a storm under shadow

A cloud of small bats swooped down and passed around Seth before gathering a few paces in front of him and releasing a cloud of red mist. Within the mist the bats combined and shifted into a small, winged human form.
Lucien had been observing the other vampire as he fed. While he was a little disappointed that the victim had been drained dry his primary interest wasn't in leftovers. He was looking for a place to live after losing his previous home and he believed that every vampire in Gensokyo had a permanent daytime shelter that he was hoping he could share... well, except for the Scarlet Devil Mansion, of course. The head maid there was dangerously touchy about having strangers around.
Straightening, he stretched his arms, back and wings as far as they would go, then he turned and looked at Seth. "Sorry if I'm interrupting anything, but would you mind if I stay with you? I know it's rather sudden but I've just lost my home and I need to be indoors when the sun comes out."

((Oh I never realised anyone replied to this sorry for taking so long!))
Seth noticed the bats, and for a moment thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, they had to be. But then the, what exploded?
Seth took a nervous step back, just wanting to get away from whatever it was in front of him. More then likely it was the fact that the other was here, at the scene of his crime that was frightening him more then anything else. he could back up maybe another step back and he'd be in the water, meaning he really had no where to run if the other decided to become...violent. He watched the creature, not sure what it was until it spoke, when a wave of relief and confusion met him. A vampire. He'd thought that the other might kill him for the remains at his heel
"Y-yo-you-"Seth cut off, shaking a little, he'd been so frightened, and fear mixed with guilt really killed ones social skills "Your not." he managed to get out, still trembling and trying to hide it, he allowed his eyes to meet the ground and scowled again, he didn't like other vampires, they were so dominant and violent, he was lucky the other wasn't angry at him purely for devouring a likely meal.
"You what...?"he asked frowning as though he hadn't heard the man, putting a hand to his face and pinching the bridge of his nose "Yeah okay, and um, why are you asking me this?" he asked looking back up at his fellow vampire "No offence but most vampires don't tend to like me, and I don't tend to share my place with them." he smirked, waiting for the other to get angry, some sort of sick sense of understanding he got out of annoying the vampires when they wanted something, so he knew he was right when he refused, if the guy was telling the truth, yeah he'd help him, but Seth had to be sure

((OOC: No problem. I'm all over the forum as it is XD. Also, your character image isn't working.))
Lucien closed his eyes, placed his hands on his hips and sighed loudly. He'd never understood why the members of other clans were so... hostile towards their fellow blood- drinkers. Then again, tolerance came with age and it was becoming clear that the other Vampire was much younger than him despite being much taller. Once again he found himself wishing that his clan sires were patient enough to let their victims gain a bit more height before taking a drink.
Opening his eyes, he looked straight at the man's face. He'd been willing to beg if necessary but it seemed that a firmer approach was needed with this one. "Well, you're not exactly making yourself likable right now but I'm desperate enough not to care. I don't know what your clan thinks of rain and sunlight but mine is weak to both and I'm sick of running from them for the brighter half of my day. I need to sleep somewhere they can't get me and in case you're wondering, I lost my coffin a long time ago."
He didn't expect the other Vampire to concede at that point, if at all, but he was hoping that this encounter would at least bring him a bit closer to getting a home.

Seth's eyes fell on the corpse of a girl. The poor thing, so pale, fragile, and he'd killed her... "Should bury her..." he said under his breath, not really sure what the appropriate show of respect would be considering he took her life. "I'm sorry" he whispered to the corpse in French, hoping the other couldn't speak the language before standing up and regarding the man
Seth sighed and fell silent a moment, listening to what the other way saying, he'd been just about to walk past and ignore the guy, but people had helped him coming close to sunlight, so it was only fair he repaid the favour. Seth could see the beginnings of morning against the clouds and gave a soft sigh, followed by a nod
"I don't belong to a clan" Seth frowned before shaking his head "Alright look you can come with me if you're really desperate, but I swear to fuck if you get me killed..." he threatened, his voice a low growl, making it clear to the other he wanted to be in control of the situation and to ward off the other if he had any ill intentions
"If you try anything I wont hesitate to leave you in the sun" Seth warned frowning "I apologize for being unlikeable but the last clan inbred I came across tried to rip my throat out."
Seth moved past the other man and started moving to where he knew an abandoned house lay. "You coming or what?" he asked the other man, stopping to glance behind him
"So what happened?" he asked after a few moments, frowning a little "I wouldn't ask, but I like to know just how much danger I'm in considering I'm now 'assisting' you, as it were"

((OOC: You might want to read Lucien's profile. He looks nine. Still, I suppose he could regard the term 'man' as a compliment. All young boys do XD))
Lucien thought that he should smile at the man's answers but he didn't feel like it as his situation was getting more and more serious. He could feel the back of his neck and hands heating up although the sun was barely out and decided to cover himself immediately just to be safe. Hoping the other Vampire wouldn't see the move as a threat, he swept his hands around himself, releasing a swirl of red mist that covered him completely. While it was impenetrable to sunlight, the mist was translucent to other Vampires and the one in front of him would have no trouble seeing through it.
"I hope you don't mind me covering up," he said as he worked, "because I won't be very useful in the sun. If you're wondering why I need shelter when I have this power, it's because the mist doesn't stick to me and I have to slow down to make sure I don't fly right out of it. It's troublesome, really. I'd fill all of Gensokyo with it if I could but look what happened when that Scarlet girl did it."
As he finished, he looked back at the man. "As for danger, you're not in any. I'm not running from anything other than the sun and the rain. I did lose my home to a monster but it seems to be quite happy just staying where it is. As for getting you killed..."
Lucien allowed himself to grin just a bit, exposing the tips of his fangs. He began to walk after the man without waiting for the latter's reply, going slowly so that his mist could keep up. "... let's just say that if you agree to help me I'll have to keep you alive until we get to your place. I'll even wager that you'd be safer with me than you are on your own. So, how about it?"

((Ah sorry, I'm so lazy, I just read it though))
"Wh-" Seth shook his head stopping as the other explained the mist and nodded "Scarlet girl?" he asked, having not been in this place for very long, but just decided to leave it and agree with the guy "Well don't take too long, you might have something to help against the sun but I don't and I'm not waiting for you" he frowned, feeling the tingle of pre-sun rays against his skin, not yet unpleasant, but he knew that a soft burning feeling would occur before long.
Seth regarded the other in silence for a moment before shaking his head "I don't have a 'home', just some place we can hide for the time being. Lets just say I don't tend to stay in one place for long" he shrugged "But yeah, you can stay there for the moment, after all I'm only squatting there. Some old couple left it, they're not meant to be back for over a week" he shrugged
He came up to the house, all the shutters in the place were closed as though against a hurricane, he pulled open the door which he had previously picked. "I'm Seth." he nodded to the older vampire "Seriously though, your like a kid, what are you doing, well, you know, being a vamp and all?" he asked cocking his head to the side with a small smirk as he followed into the house and closed the door behind. "People never seem to realise that there are other ways of getting inside somewhere rather then breaking the windows" he shrugged

Lucien snickered at Seth's statement. "Well, windows are the part of a house that you can break without making it weaker, not to mention that most humans and animals can't break walls as easily as we can."
"About me being a kid, well my sire wasn't much older when he got turned and his sire was turned before puberty, I think. It's almost a tradition in my clan. I guess that someone up the line had the idea of looking for easier prey than adults and children were the best choice before animals."
He looked up at the ceiling, trying his best to remember what had happened during his early days. One drawback of the Vampire lifespan was that his memory didn't last as long as his body and he was already beginning to lose things from the bottom of the pile. In a few hundred years he would probably forget about anything earlier than his meeting with Seth unless he started writing things down. That would be something to look into after finding a permanent home.
"Once we had a bunch of blood-drinking kids running around the victims got younger and younger. Only the bravest of us dared to bite grownups and most of us fed on those younger than ourselves or a few years older at the most. Naturally we realized as we got older that this wouldn't last forever. What would happen if we started biting babies? Most of my old friends now stay away from anyone who looks less than sixteen and I personally don't bite people but the damage has been done."
He took a deep breath after finishing, then he looked at Seth. "So, what's your story?"
