Kylie knew she shouldn't be in the forest. If something happened, she could end up burning the entire place down. However, she felt confident enough. Simply being startled usually didn't set it off any more, she had learned how to keep her power down somewhat. She'd have to be really distracted for something coming out of nowhere to set her off. Same with most really dangerous things, it took a lot at this point to scare her.
After all, Kylie had two-hundred years to adjust to this curse. If she got set off by every little thing... Most of Gensokyo would probably have ended up burning down.
Kylie looked at the trees she was passing by. Was it just her, or were they starting to look... Evil? No, they definitely seemed somehow twisted. Then, she saw something, that was almost enough to set her on fire again. It was a huge crater! She had not been expecting that. At the edges of it, all the trees looked twisted and somehow evil, like the ones she had just passed.
Kylie walked toward the center of it, to see if she could find anything. At the center, there was... Nothing. Whatever had caused this had gone. Kylie got a thought. Could it be...? Another person like her, cursed by that strange man?! What if he wasn't dead?! What if he was somehow still alive after all this time? Why not? She was.
Kylie started getting angry thinking about that man. He had ruined her carefree life, and now, for the past two-hundred years, she had lived with this curse. Everything she once knew, no matter how little that was...
Fire. There was fire. Her anger had activated her curse. She became even angrier... Even as she started panicking. "FIRE!!" she screamed. She started running around, panicked, randomly unleashing shots of fire. Fortunately, she was far enough away from any of the trees to set things on fire...
Of course, then everything reached critical levels. She felt herself rising into the air, and then...
BOOM!!!
Yep. She had overloaded. It was... Painful. She wasn't immune to the final explosive burst she released, sadly. Kylie felt pain, and saw nothing but the solid white light of the white-hot flames she released, before there was nothing but black... And then a thud, not even heard by her, as she hit the ground. Since she was unconscious. It was entirely possible that a few trees around the edges might have been set on fire... But she didn't know, she was unconscious.

Ah, the Forest of Magic... Why do I keep coming here?! Augen thought to himself as he strolled through the woods. This time he was not on any sort of assignment. Just wandering. It was probably for the better, though. He knew almost nothing of this world's geography. If he was going to be sent across the lands in search of stuff, then he might as well look around. However, coming to the same place over and over hardly qualifi--
BOOM!!!
"What the bloody hell was that," he exclaimed, fully aware that it was an explosion, though it was the source that he wanted to deshroud... After all, it could be of use to Rikako. "Hmm... This warrants visual examination," he said to himself, before darting off in the direction of the sound.
After a few minutes, Augen reached his destination. "Blimey..." he said, looking down at the scorched girl who lay unconcious upon the ground... And then at the disturbingly large crater nearby. "... She must've stepped on a concealed explosive of some sort," he said, rushing to the girl and checking her wrist for a pulse. "Come on! Don't be dead!"

Haku was suddenly awoken by a violent explosion
the dragon streched before flying off to see what had woken him up
the young dragon landed near a large crater...just being near the place made the dragon shiver..something unnatural happend here
he slowly walked toward a female lieing on the ground and a male kneeling over the girl with her wrist in his hand
"wh-what happend here"
haku sniffed the girl and quickly pulled away when he smelled smoke

"Come on! Don't be dead!" Kylie heard a voice, a man's voice, very faintly. She let out a very weak groan. Extremely weak. Then, she heard another voice, asking what had happened. Kylie managed to open her eyes. There was a man kneeling over her. She tried to say "Get away!" but only succeeded in going into a coughing fit.
When her coughing fit was over, Kylie scooted herself away from the man and sat up. She then realized she had a number of sooty spots all over her now. She tried to brush a couple of them off, before deciding that it wasn't worth it.
Kylie looked around. She was still in the middle of a crater, and there was the man that had been kneeling over her. Then, she noticed... "A dragon?!" she cried in surprise... Or tried to. What came out was another loud, hard cough, and a cloud of black soot. Once that was done, she let out an "Auughh!" of frustration. Once her lungs were officially clear of soot, she started talking. Well, complaining. If she didn't start venting, the annoyance built up to anger. While she was still too burnt out for the curse to activate again, it was now a habit of hers to vent when she was annoyed...
"Great, just great!" Kylie began, "I want to go for a walk through the forest, and I find some weird crater. I start thinking about that guy who gave me this freaky curse, I get angry, I end up bursting into flames, so my phobia kicks in and I get even angrier, then I overload and unleash a huge explosion right in the middle of a crater. Then I wake up, find some weird guy kneeling over me, see that there's a dragon right there, and..."
Kylie took another deep breath, and then just sighed. Then, she said, "Er, anyway, my name is Kylie. Who are you two?" She didn't figure she'd be around these two much longer anyway, so there wasn't much need to be too rude.

Augen stared for a moment, caught quite off guard. "Er... Pleasure to meet you, Kylie. My name is Auge-- Wait, did you say that explosion was actually you?! As in... Not a bomb?!" Augen was shocked at this revalation, and backed up a few steps. "Wh- Why do you explode?!... More importantly, how do you survive?!" he asked, stepping forward again.
"... Oh, how rude of me. My name is Augenstein. Augen, for short. Are you alright? That explosion, uh... Didn't hurt you too badly, did it," Augen asked, pulling a first-aid kit out from his coat.

haku sat down now confused
"the crater was here before the explosion?......and you blew up?"
before he got a head ache from something that made no sense he just desided to trust her on this one
"oh....my name is haku"
he smiled since she seemed to be fine...since haku knew almost nothing about humans unless you were missing limbs or bleeding like a fountain you seemed fine

Kylie replied, "It's a curse I was given. I burst into flames whenever I become angry or afraid. If it's activated by anger, I can control where the fire goes a bit , but..." she blushed, "I... Well, you see... I've always had a horrible phobia of fire. So, when I catch on fire... Well, it usually leads to my overloading, and then the explosion..."
All the while, while she was speaking, a part of her was saying "Don't talk, just run! Why are you telling them this?!" but apparently her brain was rattled from the explosion and she kept talking. "When I was first given the curse, I overloaded... Then I woke up in the middle of a black spot on the ground, right where my house had been before..." Kylie managed to shake her head and put her brain slightly back into place.
She said, "Thank you for your concern, both of you, but it really would be safer for both of you if you left me alone. If I overloaded again..." She didn't finish the sentence. It was fairly obvious. Evidently her brain was still rattled, as she wasn't trying to drive them off with rudeness as usual.

Augen looked at the crater, then back at Kylie, then at the crater again, and then back at Kylie. "Meh, I've had worse. What's important is that we get you healed up. Burns like that can leave serious scars if not treated," he said, spraying some blue liquid onto a piece of cloth. "Now stay very, VERY still... This might sting a bit..."

"what do you know about this man....if we had some information i would be more then happy to help..."
watching Augen help kylie reminded him of when genshuku helped him...and only made him want to help even more

Kylie shook her head, shying away from Augen's attempts to put that stuff on her burns. "This has happened before, I'll heal up pretty soon. And I don't think you're taking this seriously enough. You'd probably barely survive if I overloaded near you, I'm shielded from most of the effect and I still get knocked out!"
Kylie was not yet angry for her curse to act up yet, thankfully. However, she was getting upset already, even if it was because she didn't want anyone to get hurt. This is why, for considerably over two hundred years, she had been alone... Completely, and totally, alone... She didn't want to hurt people who weren't involved. Kylie almost wished she hadn't survived the first explosion of the curse. It would have been so much easier...

A quiet, but restless breathing, almost a snore, was emitting from the tiny body of a fairy. Emm had taken refuge for the night in a creature's abandoned hole within the bark of a towering tree. Her body was slumped against the wall, her arm hanging out, unconcealed, in the soon-to-be daylight. If it had been any other creature but her, it would have been considered luck to be in a hole that was under the casting shadows of leaves. Unfortunately, it was Emm: the fairy with a constant glow about her body. Being under the shadows would make her body's light even more noticeable to those below her. Thankfully, however, she is hidden from what she should be scared of most: those in the air.
Emm gave a sudden jolt as her whole body shot forward. She gave a last snort and her eyes flashed open. It was obvious she had not fallen asleep in a crooked, almost upside-down position at the other end of the tiny room. She sat herself up and rubbed her head, the first part of her to have the impact. What the hell was that? She thought, as anyone would have if their sleep was disturbed by a jolt of their tree.
Emm peered down and saw a dragon, a man, and a woman. She couldn't help but giggle. You never know what you'll wake up to these days...
Not wanting to get involved right away, Emm just sat there to see what was going on. She wasn't in the mood for getting out her darts, surprisingly.

Augen paused and then looked at Kylie for a moment. "Well then, I guess if you don't need help healing I might as well put this away," he said, puting his medkit back and sitting down by a tree. "... However, have you yet tried to confront the man who's afflicted you with this curse?"

haku silently watched and waited till he was needed
that was until he was distracted by a butterfly and started to try to pounce on it....like some oversized cat

The man asked if she had confronted the man who gave her the curse. Kylie shook her head. "No. That's actually why I overloaded. I came across this crater, and thought that it must be from someone else like me, with the same curse. It was the first time I had dreamed that he might be alive after these two hundred years..." Oops. She had just revealed that she was over two-hundred years old. Not human...
Gah. Kylie hated it when she made that mistake. She didn't want people to know she wasn't human... It had taken her a long time to realize that she wasn't herself actually. When she was fifty years old and still looked like a teenager was when she began to suspect. Another ten years, and she finally knew. She didn't remember her early childhood at all, but she had always assumed she was human for a long time...
Kylie hoped that this man wasn't a Youkai hunter or anything. She didn't want trouble. She wanted peace, something that had been taken away when she gained this curse... Now, she was filled with a desire to remove the curse, and no real leads on how to do so. Two-hundred years... The curse had consumed her. She knew that. But... She couldn't help it...
Part of Kylie was screaming in her head: RUN YOU IDIOT! RUN AWAY NOW! YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE STAYED TO TALK, AND NOW HE KNOWS YOU'RE NOT HUMAN. RUN, LIKE YOU SHOULD HAVE BEFORE! STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE, BE ALONE! But, she didn't listen to it. No... For some reason... She wasn't running. Not anymore. She wouldn't run from everyone, from everything... Not at this moment. Of course, old habits died hard...
"Well, you know I'm a Youkai now I suppose, after that slip." Kylie said. "What now? I'll just let you know, all I want is peace, which I can't find in my compulsive wandering in search of a way to lift this curse. Of course, if you're a Youkai hunter or something, no matter what I say matters." The old habit in question was rudeness. She tended to try to remain sharp-tongued enough to keep people at a distance. It was part of her nature now, after two-hundred years... Oh well. Time to see what would happen now.

Augen laughed. "Haha! You think I'd kill you, just because you're a youkai," he said, inconspicuously stepping back several feet and putting his hands in his pockets. "No... I don't mind youkai. As far as I'm concerned, they're not so different from humans in this world... I just don't like seeing people suffer. Youkai or otherwise."
Augen paused for a moment to sit down before continuing to ask questions. "... So, did you say 200 years? You're not sure whether this man is still alive?"
