[Five-minute Cat Nap]

Shiro's eyes widened with surprise, and alarm as the ball of ice appeared. Quickly changing direction, he fled away from it, readying his ice magic. "What the heck are those things!?" Shiro shouted, as he back against the wall. His eyes darting back and forth, Shiro once again began moving, padding across the wall until he stopped, suddenly. His eyes widening, he began to notice the orange glow inside the balls of ice. "Fire? Inside of Ice?" Shiro muttered, pondering what could occur. "That could be pretty bad... they're almost like wierd balloons, though." Shiro continued, before he broke off into his thoughts.

Wait, but if they're balloons, what if they pop? Shiro wondered, before remembering what they were made out of. "The Ice would probably go flying out and cut us up!" Shiro softly exclaimed, once again looking at the spheres. Shiro removed his illusion, before quickly applying it to the area 5 feet around him. He then created a barrier of ice, firmly anchored to the floor. "All the water in the air from those melting balloon things is good for something..." Shiro muttered, pleased with his idea. Shiro crouched behind it, though he also began to use his magic to cool the air. "Fire+Water makes steam, steam is good for roasting things..." Shiro trailed off, not too pleased with the mental images of a cooked kitsune.

[Genshuku]

Schala's close range attack was rather silly, what with what the balls were going to do soon, before she even got a chance to pull back.* The balls, some of which were very close to Schala, began to do what they were meant to do: explode in a shower of force and shrapnel (shattered fragments of high speed ice shards propelled by the force of all the steam's energy at once).

Schala was going to have to take some of these hits for sure. she was in the midst of point blank fast projectiles. If she were to somehow come out with only a few cuts, all of her luck would be expended in the effort. Oh well, at least the barrier didn't conduct Yuugen's electricity.

The electricity actually did major damage, but as it was her final spell it held steady. Her fleeing soon after limited the full effect, but it kept her from having to dodge at point blank. Instead, it was just a little bit of very very fast projectiles.

Shiro was the most safe out of the three. He had changed direction, and put up a very barrier with the moisture in the air (none of the steam had escaped into the air until after the explosion, but there was plenty of that in the air before anyway), which took the full force of the shards, leaving him completely safe. He also kept the enclosed room from overheating, which was also rather nice. Kyoujin could work in weird temperatures, these people couldn't (well, except maybe Yuugen).

Meanwhile, Kyoujin had to charge the attack again. This left her wide open for a little while, before the next orbs would come.


*(With major battles, I make you think ahead to dodge. OH YEAH. In the hardest battles, I'll spam it to hell, and one needs to get out of situations by using their best judgment before anything happens

[Schala]

Of course, Schala immediately dropped her katana and tried to get out of the way of the ice shards, a lot of which did hit her, and hurt her pretty badly.
She ran to the wall of the room and staggered and fell. Luckily, she did have her healing magic, and was able to use it to close most of her wounds, then she was out of spellpower. The wounds she still had were fairly deep, and she needed a while to get her strength back before she got up to fight again.

(OOC: Schala is temporarily out of the battle. I will still post however just to reveal what she had to say about what the other two did.)

[Augen]

Yuugenmagan had gotten some distance now... So it was a perfect time to launch an attack. She reached her hands forward and a giant eyeball appeared in front of her. "Die," she yelled again, as a series of daggers spewed forth from the eye's pupil... At least, it did so for a little while. A little while meaning until some shards of ice found their way to the giant eyeball, which for Yuugenmagan meant PAIN.

"Owwwww," she said as the large eye disappeared and she fell to the floor, covering her real eye in pain. After a short while she managed to regain herself. "Huhh... Huhh... You're gonna regret that," she said, struggling to her feet and glaring at Kyoujin with a now bloody eye.

[Five-minute Cat Nap]

Shiro flinched as he heard the impact from the ice shard striking his makeshift barrier. Now, things would be much easier to do, neh? Shiro cancelled his illusion, now lacking his invisibility, and created one of him, now. "Maaaaaan! All this spellwork is tiring!" Shiro exclaimed, pouting slightly, before he began moving. His illusion was set to mimic his movements, though if Kyoujin wasn't paying attention the effort of creating it would go to waste, a pity, but one can't have things go the way they wish all the time. As Shiro ran, he noticed the other two, both injured it appeared. Yuugen's eye(s) were bloody, and Schala appeared to be exhausted. Oh maaan, I hope those two are still able to help, crazy girl got a huuuuuge power boost from that mirror thing! Shiro thought, all the while pulling out a few daggers.

His illusion did the same, then, both Shiro and his illusion threw daggers. Of course, his illusion's would do nothing, but hopefully his would. It was aimed right below her ribs, actually, so perhaps the pain would disrupt anything. Shiro counted his remaining daggers as he slowed, and began to move at a much slower pace whilst against the wall. He had 4 daggers left, not counting those he could pick up from the floor, hopefully they'd still be intact after that impromptu flash of cold from Kyoujin's attack. Shiro spotted a rag, his cloak, it seemed, but hopefully it would be repaired, or he could get a new one.

No, the daggers were most important. If he kept 2 for close combat, that left only 2 ranged attacks left. "Guess I'll have to use one of them then!" Shiro stated, his bright and enthusiastic voice carrying an underlying edge. Rather than throwing it directly though, he began to run across the room, his illusion doing the same. He threw his dagger once he'd just passed his illusion, hoping that the two coming from different directions would allow at least one to hit.

Of course, he had given Kyoujin an interval of several seconds, so she might be able to block both, Shiro didn't want it to happen, but it could still happen. But, the second dagger was aiming for Kyoujin's head, so he hoped she'd pay more attention to the steel speeding towards her, after all, it should be in her line of sight.

[Genshuku]

Kyoujin herself flinched from the attack, though she hadn't taken any damage from it. It was just she sheer amount of everything at high speeds going all around her that made her do so. What she saw was very pleasing to the eye: she got two of them, and they both took heavy damage! She'd be out of here in no time~

She went so far as to fistpump (properly) at her success. Her excitement made her even more dangerous, and when the spell was working again, 2 balls appeared next to everyone (Schala would still have to watch out, as she seemed to be showing no mercy in the heat of battle) along with the same amount in Kyoujin's area.

However, because there was two Shiros, she decided to split the two ice balls into one for Shiro A and one for Shiro B. They both got one, and quickly ran away from the balls anyway. The only result of this in the end would end up being that the grenades wouldn't have clumped shrapnel, just more spread out shrapnel.

The orbs didn't come up in time to block Shiro and Yuugen's daggers , which had all met their mark (this was the barrier). The spell continued to hold, though not firmly anymore. It was slowly giving in...

[Schala]

Kyoujin didn't notice Schala was out of the battle? How insane was she?! Well, at least insane enough to keep attacking someone even though they were obviously no longer fighting. Such thoughts were going through Schala's head as she got out of the way of the ice balls.

As for Shiro, Schala was not at all surprised when she saw two of him. She had known illusionists over the years, and one had even been a close friend of her mother.

Soon her thoughts turned to how worried her parents must be about her...if they knew the state she was in right now her mother would probably lose all hope...

Hm. Back to the fight. She saw the spell begin to give way, and some daggers began to hit Kyoujin. Schala hoped it wouldn't damage her excessively, just enough to make her stop fighting.

[Augen]

Ooooooh... Now was she ever mad. Nobody... NOBODY touches the eye! Well, excep-- NOBODY! Yuugenmagan would have her revenge...

Two balls... Not too bad, now that Yuugen knew a little more about them. Yuugenmagan slapped them across the room with a pair of eyes (which wasn't pleasant for her, but certainly better than the alternative) before flying as far away as she could, tossing back the occasional bolt of lighting. She didn't care what the mirror had said earlier... Somebody was going to get eaten for this.

[Five-minute Cat Nap]

Shiro quickly noticed the balls of ice, gulping as he remembered the solid "thwack" from when the shards had impacted his barrier earlier. He quickly ran towards Kyoujin, seemingly in a suicide dash, but veered off slightly so he pased her. The barrier didn't seem to be covering the wall anymore, which means Shiro could abuse it. Getting behind Kyoujin, he quickly took out a dagger, and aimed it, he also got ready to make another ice barrier, or dodge. Hopefully thought, that barrier would remove the ice shards as a threat, but Kyoujin herself might choose to attack, and well, that'd be bad.

Shiro looked at the enemy within her protective bubble. "Crazy Lady's shield thing-y can't be lasting too much longer, I hope!" Shiro muttered, before his mind remembered what he did last time. Shiro reluctantly let go of the magic to create an ice shield, realizing he'd have to dodge, as he steadily began to cool the air once more. He pulled out the second knife, great, now he had none left. But, that secondary knife would give some good leverage against Kyoujin's weapon.

"Heeeey Schala, hurry up and get behind that barrier I made earlier!" Shiro shouted, before gazing carefully towards Kyoujin. If he had to dodge both her, and her spell, well, he just hoped her barrier made the spell part nonexistent. "Oh man, you're really a pain!" Shiro exclaimed, somewhat pouting at he slightly inclined his head towards Kyoujin. If she turned around, she'd see him, but it's not like he'd made his presence hard to notice. A person dashing by you generally tends to wind up behind you, after all.

[Genshuku]

Shiro gave some rather useful advice. Now the question is if she had the speed to get behind the ice barrier quickly enough. If she failed...well, she wasn't really in the best of conditions. Trying to dodge with hindered movement would prove useless unless someone was running on miracles. Speaking of which, that would make it harder for her to get behind the barrier in time...Schala was not in the best of states here.

Meanwhile, Yuugen slapped the ice balls across the room. sending them flying across the room on a floating free fly. However, perhaps due to the method used, they certainly wasn't going to break or anything, not even really crack. And Magan (I like using the names interchangeably was off, trying to get as far away from the grenade ball as possible. Hey, it worked, as long as she could actually see the ice bits coming....which due to her little eye problem, was harder to do. She did get some shots in though, which continued to wear down what was left of the barrier.

Shiro decided to do a suicide rush. Kyoujin looked at him, still unfocused as usual, and decided to smirk internally. Why? Because the majority of the grenades were NEAR her. He was NEAR her. She missed him last time. This was different. She could hum to this. Seriously. She turned to Shiro with a look that just said 'Oh, hey, sorry you're gonna have to feel this', remaining oblivious to anything he might have done, or even Yuugen's bolts coming from another direction.

"Hm hm hmmmmm, hmhmhm hm hm hm, hmhmhmhmHMMMMMM...."

And hum she did. The grenades quickly exploded, and Shiro was point blank in the explosion radius of several of them. They all let loose a rather fast dense wave of shrapnel for Shiro because he was so very close to them (and these waves might quite possibly be coming from several directions). Naturally, Schala and Yuugen also had their fair share, but Shiro was facing literal walls of fast bullets. Due to there being more grenades in the room, it was worse than when Schala felt it. She could heal herself. Shiro was most likely a different story. On top of this, he had weird luck issues. Schala had spare.

Pray for Shiro. He'll need it.

[Schala]

Schala was just about to try her luck with the ice barrier when she noticed Shiro was being attacked.

"Oh my--SHIRO GET OUT OF THERE!"

She would have done something. Yes, she would have. If she could have. She was running up toward Shiro when a wall of ice shards started heading for her. She knew there was no way she was going to get through there and live. And she also knew that if she jumped in there, there was no way she was going to even reach Shiro.

Well, that certainly wasn't fair. A situation in which you couldn't save someone whether you tried to or not. All she could do was hope as she ran from the ice bullets and stopped near the wall.

Of course she had been hit a few times. But now she was mad. She was mad that all she could do was pray for Shiro. That she could do nothing to help him.

Hold on...what was this? Another vision! She saw herself speaking to a winged woman in a rainbow-colored dress*. She had no idea who the woman was, but she knew she was going to get out. What troubled her is that she had no idea about the others.

(*Kaosu, but Schala doesn't know that as she's never seen her.)

[Augen]

Shit... Shiro was too close. It was dangerous for Yuugenmagan to keep attacking. So she stopped for a moment, not sure what to do...

... "Dammit, kid! What do you think you're doing?!" She knew this wasn't a good idea, but she flew quickly in the direction of Shiro and Kyoujin. As much as she wouldn't normally care, she couldn't allow a little boy like that to die. Not without trying, at least. So she flew torwards them, trying to dodge any projectiles on the way there.

[Five-minute Cat Nap]

"Maaan, I really need to be more observant" Shiro exclaimed, the shards of ice midway towards him. Yuugen was coming too, be best not to let her get impaled trying to help him. "I'll be fiiiine! You take care of yourself" Shiro shouted, before turning to run, feeling a small shudder cover his body as he shifted. He ran on his four legs, much faster than before, of course. Even then, he still let out yips and whines from shards cutting into his now much more tender flesh. His clothes, at least, would still be on him. The thing that concerned him, though, as he stood in a small corner ducking low, was his daggers. He was currently unarmed, and he doubted that as a small fox he'd be able to deliver much more than a bruise should he bite.

Of course, his respite couldn't last long. The shards kept flying, necessitating a renewed dodging session. His slim figure continued to evade the shards, but by the time he was clear of the immediate area around Kyoujin he had a fine array of scratches and cuts, mostly around his back. Now then, Shiro ducked low, pressing his canine form against the stone. He let out a low growl, directed at Kyoujin, most obviously. After a few moments, the growl stopped as he brought his muzzle down near to his leg and began to lick a scratch. This is working nicely, shards are flying over me, which is neat. He mused, though he kept his eyes trained at the reflective material flying above him.

A shard dipped down, headed towards him. Once again, Shiro turned tail and fled, managing to evade the projectile. Although, opening himself back up to the others still coming. He began to run towards Schala. Maybe healer girl has some spare juice yet, 'course I can always use her to block the shards if I gotta. Gotta live if I want to meet whoever's in charge of this place, it's really cool! ...Though crazy lady is a bit of a jerkface Shiro thought, eventually arriving at his destination. Shards were heading towards them, healer girl seemed to still be standing up. Shaking his head slightly as he ran, Shiro jumped, his head aiming for Schala's stomach. If it worked, they'd both wind up on the ground, hopefully evading the worst of the attack.

Note: Schala, you decide if it worked, or if Shiro has to deal with a hit to the head from impacting the floor instead of Schala.

[Genshuku]

And again, with success, she nailed a few targets. But, she probably couldn't keep this spell up for long. And some of them were...running towards the blasts? This was.....were they TRYING to die? Must be faulty AI or something...perhaps they're all robots? That would explain a lot~

Kyoujin noticed that the wall was their safe area...THAT'S IT! Brilliant idea, herself~!

She used the spell again, but there were none spawned near anyone. Instead, there were many surrounding Kyoujin and on the edges of the entire wall. The wall was now a point blank range, as was the area around Kyoujin herself. There was enough to be sure that someone would easily get hit if they were near the wall, and her. In the middle, it was two way speedy shrapnel.

Crap. She has your safe spot pinned, and is now about to go fatal fury on it. The barrier was only good for one side now, as the ice balls near the wall would get through that one, while anyone without the barrier's protection would face one hell of a cheap shot. The spell hung where it was before, as no one had damaged it.

[Schala]

"Woooaaaaaaah!"

Schala had seen Shiro turn to fox form, but she didn't except was when the youkai bumped into her stomach, knocking them both down.

Wow. He was beat up pretty bad. She didn't really have any power for now, but she could keep him safe. If she just stayed near the wall--no, that wouldn't really work now. The wall was no longer safe.

Kyoujin had no sense at all. Schala picked up the little fox as best she could, seeing as he wasn't an easy load, and she ran as fast as she could, which wasn't very fast what with her carrying Shiro and all in her weakened state. She got to a good spot between the walls and Kyoujin's barrier, where there weren't any ice balls nearby.

She set Shiro down, and then made another attempt to speak to Kyoujin.

"Please stop attacking me. I'm out. You've won over me. Can't we just--"

What was she thinking? Kyoujin couldn't reason. Schala just stood and hoped for the best.
