Ryuuoshi wandered through the forestry. The bamboo's looked taller then he would have expected them to be. He had saw this forest from the mountain side and he had wandered almost over every land but the Bamboo thicketry he did not step inside of. Ryuu had been lost once and he didn't want to get lost again, hearing so many people saying that there was no end to the bamboo forest and it seemed as if it went on forever. But Ryuuoshi couldn't help himself, he wasn't going to get lost and he would make sure of it. Ryuu had to get rid of his habbit at poor navigation. He was a vampire, his scent was keen and so was his hearing. So finding his way around a forest should be no problem.
Ryuu had met another vampire by the name of Scarlet. She was older then he was but she had to looks of a child. She must have been turned at a young age. Her head maid was a over protective one. He didn't blame her, Ryuu did look extra suspicious. The red headed boy was still at the beginning of the forest so there was no reason to raise his guard just yet. His red eyes scanned the terrain, looking for any forms of life.

Lucien flitted slowly through the Forest as red mist continually poured from his fingertips and seeped through the spaces between the groves. It was wasteful to be sure, but with the rabbits keeping a close watch on the area one could never be too careful.
The bamboo forest was one of Lucien's favorite places to be because it was so easy to avoid the sun there. Even at midday the tall stalks and long leaves cast plenty of shadows in which he could hide. The leaves also did a good job of trapping his red mist close to the ground, allowing him to cover a large area quickly when he needed its protection.
There was also an abundance of prey. A few times already he'd managed to sneak up on a rabbit and blind it with his mist. After that it was a simple matter of knocking his victim out and making a small incision with a crystal blade. The fact that he never used his fangs made it difficult for anyone to suspect a vampire and he also drank very little, meaning that his victims tended to attribute the cut to an accident rather than a deliberate attack.
Still, the rabbits did seem to have noticed the sudden rash of minor cuts as they'd begun to patrol the area more frequently. Lucien hoped that they hadn't made the connection between his red mist and the cuts or he would lose his trump card. What he believed was that the mist would make the rabbits suspect the Scarlet Devil herself was at work instead of him and they wouldn't dare go hunting for someone so powerful, leaving him safe to feed when he wanted.
The forest itself was quite misty and with his attention diverted from the path ahead he was a little late in spotting the red-haired youth coming his way. Something told him that the newcomer was a vampire as well but he couldn't tell if the stranger was a friend or a foe. He stopped and backed up a little, letting his mist surround him.

Ryuuoshi narrowed his eyes as he saw red mist moving slowly only few inches above the ground. He scanned the area closely, Where is this smoke coming from? He asked himself. Ryuu looked up to notice a figure standing a few yards away. The red head stopped and blinked several times. He slipped his hands in his pants pocket and awaited the stranger to say something. It didn't seem like he was going to say anything. Ryuu guessed that the red mist was coming from this guy, who looked a bit young to be wandering out here alone.
Ryuuoshi wasn't going to bother him though. There has been too many of those cases where he walks up to a kid and be like 'you shouldn't be out here alone' and then usually the kid always answers with a hot-headed comment. He hesitated to walk for a moment, wondering if he had judged the kid wrong. If the stranger was going to just suddenly attack him then he had enough speed to dodge, the dodge might not be 100%, but at least he wouldn't be totally damaged from whatever power in which the boy hid.
Ryuu continued to walk, his steps slow and calm. He acted as if he was paying no attention to the stranger. Curious to how he would react.

It seemed that the youth was also being cautious. At the very least he was peaceful enough to not strike first, so Lucien decided to break the silence himself. He circled the youth at some distance, trailing his mist all the way and surrounding both of them in a cloud of red. If the youth was indeed a vampire the mist would do no more than add a crimson tint to his vision.
When he was certain that both of them were covered, he summoned a crystal chair from his mist and let it drop to the ground. True to his suspicions it fell right through and there was the sound of wood splintering as sharpened bamboo stakes shot upward from the bottom of the pit and smashed into the bottom of the chair. He winced and dismissed the chair before creating a much larger one with spider-like legs that would hold it over the opening.
Then he flew over to the chair and sat on it before addressing the youth. "I hope you don't feel threatened by all of this. I'm just trying to be careful." He rested his elbows on the arm of the chair and cupped his face in his hands. "I'm Lucien, an ordinary Vampire. Who might you be?"

Ryuu paused in his steps and sighed at the sight of the rising mist. He could've guessed that something like this was going to happen. He closed his eyes for a moment, annoyed obviously. There was no way that he was able to get any peace. He didn't think he would find anyone walking through the bamboo forestry. All he wanted was a bit of quiet and instead he got some boy summoning clouds around them. Putting his hands into his pockets he opened his eyes and stared at nothing infront of him. "Threatened?" He laughed lightly. Ah but of course he felt threatened. There was a big difference from being safe and wanting to make sure that your in control or dominating the situation.
Ryuuoshi turned to look up at the boy. His eyes only slightly narrowed as he made an emotionless glare to the other. "Ryuuoshi" He said, simply as he continued to eye the boy. What could he possibly want as to destroy Ryuu's alone time. Possibly he was looking for someone to talk to or more spacificly, another vampire to talk to. The red head wasn't much of a talkative person so the other shouldn't expect him to say much.

The newcomer certainly wasn't very talkative. He had reacted to Lucien's actions and words but that didn't necessarily include the mist. Certainly the youth had looked in Lucien's direction but that could have been a response to the sound of his voice and as such wasn't a clear indicator of being able to see. Was all this a bit excessive? Perhaps it was, but avoiding danger was always one of Lucien's top concerns.
While Lucien was willing to leave the youth alone immediately if he was sure the latter was blinded, it would be dangerous to simply turn back without making sure. Anyone who could see through the mist had to be a Vampire and a Vampire of a clan other than Lucien's own might be planning a territory grab.
He got off his chair and dismissed it before flying over to the newcomer. Stopping and hovering about three feet from the youth's face he crossed his arms and tried to make eye contact. "Well, Ryuuoshi. At least let me know if you can see me and tell me what your intentions are. I'd like to leave you alone if I can but I want to make sure you won't stab me in the back or something when I go."

Ryuuoshi eyed the boy, looking in the direction he heard his voice the loudest. Like every other vampire, Ryuu had a keen sense of hearing and therefor he was able to map out where exactly his bothersome acquaintance was located. He knew that he was dealing with another vampire and as to why the other was so alert he had yet to know. If this boy had thought himself to be almighty powerful then he would have no need to be as alert as he is now, maybe he doubted his powers against another vampire in which may have the equal amount of power. Ryuu didn't think their powers were equal, there was so flaws that the red headed youth had that had yet to be fixed. Luckily, another thing came in handy, his sight for aura. He could see the cold aura surrounding the bodily figure of the one who called himself Lucain.
He removed one of his hands from his pocket to brush a string of hair from his face and slightly tuck it behind his ear. "Yes.. I can see you and as far as my intentions... I was simply enjoying a nights walk" He said pausing for a moment before continuing on. "I didn't plan on coming across anyone but unfortunately... not everything goes as planned" He stated, putting his hand back into his pocket and awaiting a reply. Ryuuoshi was pretty sure that Lucain wasn't going to believe him but what Ryuu was saying was indeed true. But whatever the case, he was prepared for any unexpected attacks that the boy may throw at him.

((OOC: Just to let you know, any type of Vampire should be able to see through Lucien's red mist as if it wasn't there. That's part of the magic. No need to rely on special senses if you're a Vampire.))
Ryuuoshi's response was helpful. The knowledge that he could see through the mist meant that Lucien would have to keep his guard up but his statement of purpose- if true- would allow Lucien to go his own way. The smaller Vampire smiled slightly and nodded. "Well, alright then. I shall leave you to enjoy your walk."
As soon as he was past Ryuuoshi, however, he was stopped by the sight of several pairs of eyes glinting among the bamboo stalks. Rabbit eyes, by the looks of them. It seemed that the rabbits had finally mustered enough courage to drive the smoky intruder out of their turf.
Some of the eyes disappeared a moment later and Lucien was sure that they had gone for reinforcements. The rabbits were likely to be extra cautious as they couldn't evaluate the threat through the red mist. They didn't need to see to shoot, though, and a blind volley swept through the mist. Lucien's precautions paid off and he had enough mist around him to summon a crystal barrier which blocked most of the shots.
((OOC: If you feel like controlling some rabbits too just remember that none of them can see through the mist. Only Vampires can see through it.))

Ryuuoshi nodded and began to walk away. He wondered if all the vampires were so territorial. If that was so, then Ryuu would have to consider himself a simple wanderer. Walking amongst the earths terrain with no temporary place in which he would call home. A home? It was comforting for as long as it lasted, but unfortunately for Ryuu he had quite a few bit of people not.. hmm, what word to use. Well, not so delighted of him walking amongst the earth. They would rather send in back to hell where he came from, or at least thats what they say. He stopped and looked back when he heard quick movements. Chasing a rabbit? What happened to the good ol' days when Humans were the victims. When the blood of a human would be their nightly feast.
Ryuuoshi lifted his hand and pointed it in the direction of a rabbit he spotted. Blindly staring into space. He slowly wrapped his fingers inward making his hand into a fist. Within moments the rabbit was in his grasp. Like a lasso, Ryuu threw an invisible line of energy toward and around the rabbit. This way he is able to choke it from a distance. If the rabbit had moved, he wouldn't have been able to catch it with his invisible line unless he timed it's movements carefully. Ryuu pulled it closer to him and narrowed his eyes. Pathetic creature.. He thought, looking at it as it hopelessly tried to escape.

Lucien hesitated to return fire as he felt that he might endanger Ryuuoshi, but on seeing the youth levitate a rabbit he realized that he had nothing to worry about. He began releasing more of his red mist but this time he channeled magical energy into it as well. Shards of glowing red crystal materialized in the mist and swept towards the rabbits on his side like so many bits of shrapnel. Most of the shards embedded themselves in the bamboo and the rabbits seemed to dodge the rest.
The return fire was vicious. Lucien managed to put up a barrier in front of himself but was unable to protect Ryuuoshi as well on such short notice. The red-headed Vampire was exposed to several waves of magic shots, the rabbits on his side seemingly unconcerned about the welfare of their captured comrade.

Ryuuoshi watched the other vampire and narrowed his eyes at the sudden attack in which he summoned through the mist. Ryuu quickly attempted to summon a barrier. The wave was too close for him to summon a full barrier to protect himself against the shots, because the barrier was weak, the impact of the collide of energy sent him flying back toward the bamboo thicket. He pulled out a dagger he carried in his sleeve and sliced the top of the bamboo's down so that he won't go smacking into them. He grabbed the top of the sliced bamboo so that he could stop himself from flying off and did a flip to get himself back onto his feet. The red-headed vampire glared at the other and bared his fangs. "What the hell were you thinking?!" He cursed eying Lucain, anger in his icey blue eyes. "A warning would have been appreciated!"

Lucien gritted his teeth and swept his fingers through the mist to produce crystal waves as thin, as hard and as sharp as sword blades, which swept through the bamboo and sheared quite a bit of it away. Frustratingly enough it looked as though the rabbits had seen that as well as a volley of return shots came in from just to the left of the last wave. The Vampire put up another barrier just in time but one shot got through and burned a hole in his left shoulder. "You think I planned for all this!?" he shouted back as he formed another wave of shards and released them towards where he thought his opponents were.

Ryuu summoned a stronger barrier around him this time. Once the second wave was summoned he was able to protect himself without flying off in the brush. Lucain was definitely a weird one and Ryuu highly doubted that it was these rabbits putting up such a fight. No, it had to be something else that was making things so very complicated for Lucain. "If you didn't plan it then what the hell is going on?!" He asked, curious. This is the most he has talked in awhile. Since the conversation he had with Scarlet, it was the most longest conversation he has had with another vampire, scratch that, with anyone period. It was kinda frustrating not being in control of the situation and especially not knowing what was going on. He hated always having to wonder whats going on instead of knowing instantly. Guess thats what made him as curious as he is.

"The rabbits are really territorial! Maybe they're just trying to chase us away!" shouted Lucien in response. He didn't want to mention that he'd been feeding on the rabbits or Ryuuoshi might decide to turn him in after seeing a possible connection with this attack.
The shots were coming in even faster now and Lucien had to keep reforming his barrier even as he tried to maintain his return fire. If one of them didn't do something drastic the rabbits might eventually manage to overwhelm them, but Lucien was out of ideas.

Ryuu was getting tired of this, he had to do something instead of just stand there and wait till their attacks break through his barrier. He had concentrate his energy on the barrier if he didn't want it to break immediately but being the risky one he is. He would take the risk. To life a few of the bamboo's he had cut earlier and throw them into the brush, near the rabbits. He wasn't sure if he got any or if they dodged his blow. He quickly concentrated his energy back onto the barrier. As he did so it was fading for a moment and one of the blows struck the side of his face only cutting a few strands of his hair and leaving a mark on his face, blood flowing from the sliced wound. Ryuuoshi gritted his teeth, baring white fangs. He was really starting to hate this, he hoped he lowered the amount of attackers so he could get rid of the rest of them with his dagger.
