There was a shrill yelp from the place where Ryuuoshi had thrown the bamboo and Lucien realized that the redhead had actually managed to hit at least one of the rabbits. He decided to finish it (or them) off while he had the chance and dismissed his barrier to form several crude swords from his red crystal, ignoring the rabbit shots that punched holes in his back and side. Rotating the swords in mid-air he aimed them towards the direction of the yelp and let fly...
... only to see them shatter against what looked like several overlapping magic barriers. It took him just a moment to realize that the return fire from that direction would be especially thick and he poured as much magic as he could into the mist there, creating the thickest shield he'd made so far. This time he remembered to cover Ryuuoshi as well, which was a good thing as a horrific stream of shots washed over the shield like a river against a dam. The rabbits were probably covering a rescue operation and Lucien could only hope that they would retreat after they were done.
