Drake noticed that there were a lot of people around, many clearly dressed for combat. That didn't really make him feel more comfortable, but he remembered that the sign had said that they probably wouldn't attack, so he tried to calm himself. Everything about this was odd though...
So, where to head next? The one labeled "Roulette" had an odd aura. Though how much more ridiculous it could be than just everything that happened to him all the time, he really wondered. He'd been through everything from fighting his way through armies of pink things to... Well, most anything you could think of. Being possessed, being killed and coming back again... Yeah...
Drake actually considered the completely plain one as a good candidate for where to go next. There might actually be something there behind all the generic-ness (if that had been a word) Then again, considering the other things around...
The barracks hallway... He really, really didn't want to go there. That aura... "Urrgh..." he groaned, just feeling the energy from it. No, definitely not... But what if it was enchanted to keep people from going there because something was hidden... No, that would definitely be a last resort, he was NOT going there if he could help it.
The one labeled Chaos Generator was where he decided would probably be best. It visibly stood out the most, and he felt a lot of power from that direction. Hopefully the person who had set all of this up preferred to be completely obvious rather than subtle... Though this all seemed almost like it might very well be some sort of game... Drake really couldn't stand anyone who would simply toy with people's lives...
Drake felt angry thinking about it, even as he felt oppressed by the energy from the barracks hallway... Since he was more sensitive than most people to magical energy in general, it was pretty bad even from here... He began making his way toward the chaos generator hallway, after he looked over his shoulders and beckoned to the others, "Let's go this way."

All the rooms looked equally interesting to Mokuko and he had trouble trying to decide which way the group should go. He didn't have to, however, as Drake made the decision for them, heading towards the one that looked all shiny and metallic.
He noticed just then that the others looked uncomfortable and he wondered what the problem could be. Try as he might he couldn't sense anything unusual about the place other than the fact that most of it was a pretty weird color. Perhaps the others were just worried about the enemies they might find in such a place. The puppet decided to ask his new friends about it after they'd finished. For now, he just kept quiet and followed Drake.

Augen didn't really care much which door they went through... But so far the others seemed settled on "Chaos Generator". Did that sound like a good idea? Augen was unsure, but he followed anyway. Safer to walk into fire with allies than waters alone, he though.

So Shouki did a quick check of the minds of the grunts before following Drake just in case they were heading for a death-trap... ... ... Eh? Every one of them was thinking the same thing: 'Cheating by mindreading is cheap. So just in case anyone tries it...well, now you can't. Work for your win. Think about this message hard enough to deactivate it, and it will be replaced by what you are allowed to see. -- Ozma' Clever. Veerryy clever. This Ozma person should be commended or something, even if she is the enemy here. In any case, she went with him. ---- After Drake got about 5 feet away from the door, it actually opened by itself, like one of those automatic doors. Behind it...was not exactly a generator in the way you were thinking. What was inside was a large amount of powerful artifacts inside several large glass spheres (and they don't break, so trying would be futile) anchored on glowing pillars. 2 of these glass had something...different in them. One had some small girl with silver hair and various plugs attached to her (and she also seemed to be asleep), and the other one had a key in it. Incidentally, these were side by side. The floor and walls also glowed, though this was a minor detail compared to all these 1 foot tall black (most of them anyway, there were some red ones in the mix, a few green ones too) fluff things swarming the room. It wasn't a literal carpet, but the fact that they pretty much covered the entire floor a few feet away from the entrance in a 50 ft by 50 ft (by 50 ft) room said something. The fact that they were all staring at Drake was also probably unnerving. There was also one more, floating in the middle of the side by side pillars, a white one that glowed a red color (this one was also staring at Drake). Following a few seconds, weird noises could be heard from all of them, followed by a telepathic message to everyone about to enter: 'And what do you think you're doing here? If you're just browsing, get out.' You could probably answer it, or you could be freaked out by all these things. Or if you feel like it, do both. The little puff things looked pretty serious, and giving the sheer amount of them, were intimidating even if they were cute seemingly harmless puffballs (except for that white one anyway).

The door was automatic? As far as Drake could tell, it wasn't activated by magic either. Which definitely meant that this was more high tech than what he would have expected. Upon entering the room, he came upon a rather... Unnerving sight. The first thing his attention was drawn to was a girl sealed inside a transparent sphere, "What the hell?!" he exclaimed.
And then he noticed the creatures on the floor... Much more of them, and they'd practically be the floor. Apart from the sheer number of them, something really was creeping him out. Then he realized what it was... They were all staring straight at him! Not just at the group, every single one had its eyes locked onto Drake. Definitely creepy.
And then Drake heard some sort of telepathic message... He responded to it, "This seemed like it might be a good place to find out what's going on... Speaking of which, why are you all staring at me? And why the hell is that girl in there?!" Though Drake still felt slightly creeped out by this, he wasn't precisely scared. It wasn't easy to cause terror in someone who had survived just about anything it was possible to... And a large number of things that really weren't.

Mokuko became even more excited when the door opened on its own, but that was nothing compared to what he felt when he saw what was inside the room. He noticed the spheres first and had been about to walk over to them when he spotted movement on the floor and looked down. What he saw almost made him forget about the spheres.
The colored puffs didn't look like any living creature he'd seen but the way they were moving meant that they were alive in some sense. The one closest to him was looking away and he followed its gaze, only to realize that it was looking at Drake. Then he noticed that they were all looking at Drake, which was interesting.
'And what do you think you're doing here? If you're just browsing, get out.'
It was a voice that Mokuko hadn't heard before and for some reason he felt that he had to answer it. "We're here to visit the owner of this castle."

Augen heard a voice in his head. However he had learned from last time that voices in his head often try to take his weapons away from him, so rather than follow it's orders he replied with his mind.
Oh? And what's so wrong with lookin' 'round... Unless there's a s-s-s-seeeeeCRET?! Is there? I like secretsssses. Those were the thought Augen directed to the voice in his head. He wouldn't let this one get the best of him. Unless, of course, it was Matt Parkman. But he was pretty sure it wasn't.

(Tell me to post in these things or I'll forget e.e)
Holy crap, there was a lot of them. But...they seemed to all be thinking generally the same thing, so Shouki wasn't greatly effected at all. The other colored ones only had slight variations, except the white. The white one was a totally different deal.* It seemed to peek into one's mind if it was a strong enough one. If one thought to himself in a strong tone, it seemed to know exactly what was said. That's what she read. And in response, the white one replied to her mind only:
"What a keen observation."
It replied? Her third eye had a rather blank look, but seemed to be working just fine, not getting any side effects.** Hm..she'll never really know about that thing.
"I have a keen observation too. If I will it, we can go into a frenzy and cripple your thoughts rendering you unable to think straight. Think about that for a while."
Well, damn. That was a keen observation.
"What the hell?!"
This guy must have no idea where he is. He should have read the label on the door or something.
"This seemed like it might be a good place to find out what's going on... Speaking of which, why are you all staring at me? And why the hell is that girl in there?!"
What silly questions. The white one used 'all telepathy' to answer it.
"What's going on is that you're leaving, why we're staring at you is because we want you to leave, and why the girl is in there is because she's a machine, and a gift by the owner of the castle. We're keeping her in great structural condition.***"
Next on the list...
"We're here to visit the owner of this castle."
Well she wasn't in here, wherever she was. All telepathy again:
"She's not in here, keep looking."
And the final one, who was using his thoughts as hard as it seemed that he could from their perspective.
"Oh? And what's so wrong with lookin' 'round... Unless there's a s-s-s-seeeeeCRET?! Is there? I like secretsssses."
Well, he'll have more luck elsewhere. As it was a to self thought, it responded with a single target this time, Augen of course:
"There's more secrets in the Roulette hallway compared to any other place in the whole entire castle, you know."
Ugh, intruders. Sweep them away and carry on~
*(Crossbreed between FOE and Smog? Oh god) **(Think NOTHING at all for a prolonged amount of time, yet another thing on Steve's 'things to do before you die list'.) ***(From their point of view anyway, hardly a real gift.)

Drake was beginning to get annoyed with these things. They kept insisting that everyone leave without any explanation why, and saying that they wanted everyone to leave when asked why they were all staring straight at Drake... And no one else... wasn't a good explanation.
However, he wasn't planning on picking a fight over it, even with things as tiny as these, and he... With some doubt... Accepted the explanation of the girl being a machine. He knew that such things happened... In fact, he'd met machines that looked human before. And if these things were telling the truth, there wasn't any reason to try to free her.
Drake didn't like not knowing what was going on, but he figured that they should probably leave. Maybe he could ask Shouki if she was able to tell what those things were thinking... That would probably be better than pushing the issue anyway.
He sighed, then said, "I guess we should leave. They're probably not going to tell us anything, and I'd rather not see what will happen if they get really annoyed." He began walking back out of the room. Those things had mentioned secrets in the Roulette hallway... Should they head there?

The voice spoke again and told Mokuko that the owner of the castle was not around. That was quite a pity but he wasn't sure if he could do anything about it. Then he heard Drake suggest that they leave before things got too dangerous and he had to object a bit as he hadn't even begun to explore the room they were currently in. He moved between Drake and the exit and stood there with his hands on his hips.
"We're leaving already? Aren't we going to take a closer look at all the stuff here?"

Augen ignored much of what was going on in the room... Though he was not prepared to let himself be vulnerable. "Ruyijing Bang!" He dropped his baton to the ground, catching it as it suddenly extended to a length of about five feet. Then he thought.
Hmm... Secrets in the roulette room. How very... secretive. Well surely if you say so there can't be any secrets in here, right? I mean, that would just be too deceptive. And you wouldn't decieve us, right.
And then he laughed audibly, and everyone in the room would be able to hear him. He had no plans to explain why, though. He just began walking around, looking at the various glass spheres. Eventually he came upon the one which held a humanoid girl. With plugs. Augen pondered for a moment before speaking. "Hmm... Looks like something I'd put on my tree... But more importantly, looks concerning." Then he turned to face his companions. "Oy! Anyone know what this thing is?"

But, she had no choice. If she didn't do this...
No. That wasn't an option. She had no choice. And just why was that?
Shouki noticed the key a while ago, yet didn't bring it up because she was a little too occupied with these things' minds, and had assumed that they had noticed the KEY in there. But, after assessing the current situation, apparently it had gone right over all of their heads. They needed two keys to progress, and one was up there.
The puffball thing made a quick mental note to Shouki, as soon as she thought that.
"No, that is ours. We don't care if you need it or not. ... Ah. No matter what, then? We'll see how that lasts."
She still couldn't give up, despite their intimidation tactics. For puffballs, they were quite good.
Meanwhile, Drake was being utterly bent by them. They were right that the girl was just a machine, and they certainly wanted him to leave. But sometimes, one needs to know when to 'fight the powa'. However, as they had no reason to stare at Drake anymore, all eyes were now on Augen, having produced some sort of weapon and having walked up to one of the spherical towers. On his baton lengthening, a good portion looked like they could suddenly spring to battle at any moment.
They (or rather it, but it expressed the will of the whole) talked to Mokuko next, despite where they turned.
"No, you aren't going to look around further. Leave at once, or suffer the consequences."
They seemed to get only more irritable. The white one spoke (it's all telepathy, but it's the same thing really) to him with a slight distaste.
"Yes, there really is no secrets in here. There is plenty in the Roulette Room, go there, and leave here. We have spoken only the truth. And that is a robot. We answered this already. Now, get lost."
Shouki finally spoke up.
"And that, up there?"
She pointed to the key.
"That's a key. Now, get lost already." "That looks like something we need to see the owner of this castle. We're going to need that." "Really, now? It matters not, for it is ours, like everything else in this room. Now, get lost already."
Now, what is true is that they have not told a single lie (from their point of view anyway). What should be considered is what they haven't said at all.
This message was brought to you by the various energies in Kaosu's Castle. What crazy thoughts be floating here.

Drake was startled when Mokuko got in the way. "Look around at everything here? Why? I don't see anything here that's worth bothering to get into a fight with these things over..." The things then spoke up again. So... Freaking... Annoying... That was another reason Drake wanted out of here. So he wouldn't have to listen to these stupid things anymore!
However, then Shouki pointed something out. A key? Why was that so important again? ...Then she mentioned that they needed it to go on. He then proceeded to plant his hand right on his face as he cried "Augh! I can't believe I forgot about the keys we need..."
He'd done it again. He'd completely forgotten a vital piece of information and then failed to remember it. Why did this keep happening?! Oh well, he'd just have to go on...
Drake had a feeling that these things were probably planning on attacking. They'd mentioned to leave or suffer the consequences, and it didn't look like anyone was planning on leaving anytime soon.
There was a flash of light, and suddenly Drake was in dragon form, flying toward the white creature, breathing fire out so it would affect the ones on the way as well as he flew. He called out to his friends, There's no way they're going to let us get the key peacefully. Let's knock them out!
Drake didn't know if burning them all was the best option, but they really weren't going to die... And if they were all knocked out, maybe they'd SHUT THE HELL UP!

Mokuko would have liked to help but after seeing Drake's fire his only thoughts were of getting as far away from it as possible. Without saying anything he flew out of the room as quickly as he could.
He was halfway down the hall by the time he started thinking properly again and he began to feel a bit silly for running away on his own. If he fled too far into the castle without backup he would probably run into enemies that were far too strong for him and if that happened getting burnt would be the least of his worries. He returned to the room but instead of entering he stopped just to the left of the door and peered round the corner of the wall to see what the others were doing.
