Raposa sat in a tree with his guitar. His tail was hanging down behind him slightly wagging, and his ears were perked up listening to every note he played. After a moment of playing a slow calm tune, he sped up and put energy into it. Before he knew it he was standing in the tree, his tail wagging like a dogs does when chasing a squirrel, and he was singing. Without missing a beat, he jumped from the tree to the ground and continued to play. The song slowed down again and gently came to an end.
He quickly walked over the where his guitar case was and picked up a piece of paper. The end of the lyrics had finally come to him. The song was ready for him to play for an audience. Putting down his piece of paper and pen, he pulled the guitar strap off and placed it in its case. He grabbed a case right behind it. It was his violin. He opened the case and pulled out the bow. He tightened the bow and proceeded to pick up his violin.
Notes began to emit from the base of the tree where Raposa sat. The tune was similar to the first one he played. It started slow and calm and sped up. Raposa stopped and started again a few notes behind where he had stopped. He couldn't quite get it right. He tried again and again, but each time the notes were slower than they should have been. Getting aggravated, He dropped the song and moved on to another one. This one immediately was up beat. If he could, he would have started singing, but he couldn't and play the violin at the same time.

Nearby, a girl who looked no older than sixteen was sitting on a rock. By her side was a much smaller girl who resembled an ocarina.
Katriance sat with the book of stories in her lap as she read to Aliana. She had just finished a story about a hero who played an ocarina.
"Katri!" Aliana said. "Tell me that one again!"
Katriance smiled at the little ocarina youkai who had, in a sense, become her little sister. She turned back a few pages of the book and began.
"Okay, once upon a time there was a forest. In it lived the children-forever Kokiri. Each one had their own fairy, except for one boy. His name was Link."
Aliana smiled. She loved the way Katriance told the stories.

Finally wearing himself out, Raposa put the violin in its case. He somehow managed to pick up his guitar, his violin and his other bag. His arms were full as he slowly walked to the north. He was soon to arrive at the human city and play for the people there in a local bar. Unfortunately the bar was barely paying him at all so he had to perform well for tips.
Still running over the lyrics to one of his songs he heard someone say "His name was Link". Looking up, he realized that there were two girls sitting on a rock reading a book. It was evident that one was the older sister of the other, though they didn't quite look like siblings. Ready to talk to someone after a long trip, Raposa walked up to them and stated "Good Afternoon."

Katriance looked up from the book at the Kitsune.
"Good afternoon to you too," she said. "My name is Katriance Windwaker, and this is Aliana Ocarina. She is my adopted sister."
She decided not tell him the part about being a Spirit of Time and her conflict with an evil fallen sage as that didn't need to be said yet.
Aliana clung to Katriance. Who was this stranger? And why was Katri talking to him like nobody's business?
"Mm...Katri?" she said.
Katriance turned. "Yes?"
"What about my story?" Aliana said.

Looking down at the girl, Raposa stated "I'm thinking it goes something like this. Then one day Link was woken by a fairy that urgently needed his help. Looking up at the older of the two girls he asked, "Well is that right?" He put down his two instruments and dropped his bag. It stopped before hitting the ground and gently landed. His telekinetic ability was the only explanation for the phenomenon.
Raposa extended his hand and replied to her previous introduction "Im Raposa Velhaco." He wasn't quite used to such formal introductions, but decided it couldn't hurt.

Katriance stood up. "It is nice to meet you Raposa," she said shaking his hand.
"And yes, that's always how it goes. Link, the fairy, the princess, the ocarina, the evil desert king..."
Aliana fidgeted. What was her Katri doing just talking to some strange man? Not a good idea Katri, she thought to herself.
Katriance continued talking. "Aliana is a bit timid. You need to be patient to win her trust."
The little ocarina hid her eyes. What if Katri didn't care about her anymore and was going to run off with a youkai? Tears came to her eyes at the thought.

Raposa wasn't quite sure whether or not to stay or go because of the younger girl's obvious dislike of his presence. He couldn't just ignore her. He continued to talk to Katriance while bending down and opening his guitar case. He said "So are yall travelling to the human city like I am, or are yall leaving it?" Now having the guitar in his hands, he strummed it once. He looked at Aliana and asked "Want to hear a song?" His mind quickly running through all the songs he knew to find one that would fit the moment.

Aliana turned around. Perhaps this youkai wasn't so bad after all.
"Do you know any songs from the Legends of Link?" she asked.
Katriance also spoke. "We were really just taking a stroll, but we'd be happy to travel with you."
Aliana smiled. Katri wasn't leaving her after all!

"... Hey you. You know me. You've touched me. I'm real... And I'm forever the one who makes you look and see and feel me..." An elf girl floated across the ground, singing softly to herself as she went along. Then something caught her ear. Music. "Oh? What could that be~? Better go investigate," Ronnie said, changing direction and floating t'wards the source.
Upon reaching it, she noticed that she was approaching from the distance torwards a group of two-- no, three creatures... Didn't appear to be human. That was somewhat relieving. Then eventually she halted herself, caught in the middle of the group. "Excuse me," she said, a serious tone about her voice. "Which one of you would be the musician I heard?" Her attention was pointed mostly torwards the ocarina girl, being that she appeared to be an instrument.

Raposa jumped as he heard someone say something from behind him. A small rumble game from his guitar because he accidentally hit it. After seeing who was there, he replied "That would be me. I'm actually about to play a bit more for young Aliana here." He stopped and thought for a moment. He didn't know any songs that were good for the guitar. Instead he put the guitar back in its case and pulled out his violin. "Lets see... any one in particular you would like to hear?"

More people? Aliana was a little uncomfortable but nevertheless she did want to hear a song.
"Play Saria's Song!" she cried.
Katriance whispered something to her.
"Please," she added.
Katriance walked over to the other girl. "Hello," she said. "My name is Katriance Windwaker."

Ronnie looked over at Katriance, and then to the others. "Oh yes... How rude of me. I am Ronnie Padavona... Dea, for short," she said, stepping out of the center. "... Did I hear something about a Link," she asked, reaching into her bag. "I've read of such a name... Found this strange tome near the bamboo forest recently," she said, pulling from her bag what people in the outside world would call a comic book. "... Are there are more of these scriptures?"

Raposa began softly playing Saria's Song. He kept it quite enough so he could still talk over the music, but loud enough so that Aliana could still hear. "I'm Raposa Velhaco." Raposa stopped playing the song. He jut couldnt talk and play at the same time. "Are you heading to the human city?" he asked with his tails wagging behind him. His ears were perked up and twitching at the various sounds around him. He wondered if the three had heard him playing earlier. He knew one had, but had Katriance and Aliana heard him? It didn't matter really. He just didn't like having people know more about him than he intended to reveal.

Why did he stop playing the song? Aliana wondered silently. Then she noticed he was talking to the newest arrival. Who was she? Then she noticed the strange book the girl was holding.
"Are there more of these scriptures?" was what she heard.
"Yes, there are," she said. "Katri reads them to me."
Katriance was looking at Raposa. "Why are you journeying to the human city?"
