"You're welcome, Vandater." was all that Keine said as she got up and walked over to the door. Though she wouldn't be able to host them or escort them she would at least be able to see them off as they left. Akyu remained seated, watching the others with a knowing look on her face.
Carlos quickly got up and went after Vandater, not intending to let her leave alone. "Hold it. I gave my word that I would protect you on the way so I won't let you leave without me. Besides, you forgot your food." He handed Vandater's dinner box to her.

Caedir also followed Vandater.
"I said I was coming," she said. "And I never go back on my word."
She smiled. Her sisters would know her to be a real hero.
Her sisters!
Could they be out looking for her? Were they worried? What should she do?
She should go.

Vandater looked to the two. "Thanlk you," she said. "But we must hurry. For all we know people might be dying as we speak. Come along. I think Kitria's place was this way," she said, before darting torwards the referred direction.

Carlos was surprised at Vandater's speed and he soon began to fall behind, but after beginning to fly along the ground instead of running he was able to catch up. He sincerely hoped that Vandater's people would be alright despite what Akyu had said as he wasn't sure he would be able to do much if they faced a powerful enemy. He would do his best, of course, but he wasn't too sure his best would amount to anything.
