The Scarlet Devil Mansion [Open]

~Part 2: The 3 travellers meet up.

Hikaru had gone away from the cursed Windmill and to this lake. Hikaru didn't know the Curse of the Windmill was still on him and he didn't know he had less than 12 hours of his life left. Hikaru had no idea he was going to die the minute he step foot on the Scarlet Devil Mansion, completely no idea. He put his arm up to block the sun and said "This is it, the mystic lake that Kanda was talking about... I wonder whats on the other side of this lake..."
Kanda Hirensuke was flying in the air as he spotted Hikaru walking toward a huge lake. He called "Salutations, Hikaru"
Hikaru turned arround and saw Kanda in the air. He said "Hey I'm going to cross this lake, I suppose you are here to do the same?"
Kanda said "Yes, you are indeed correct."
Hikaru said "You may come with me, if you'd like."
Kanda nodded "Very well. Then I shall."
Yumi was also walking toward the lake and found the white haired boy talking with a flying man. She reconized the boy and she ran up to them. She said "Hi, you two! Where are you guys headed."
Hikaru said "Oh hi, girl. We are going to cross the lake."
Yumi said "So am I! Can I come with you?"
Hikaru said "Sure, I don't mind who comes along, actually."
Kanda turned arround and said "I know who I can trust and who I can't."
Kanda started to fly over the lake without further delay. Hikaru wondered aloud "I wonder which side I am on...? I hope I'm on the trustworthy side."
Yumi thought to herself, I must prevent the white haired human from going to the Scarlet Devil Mansion. I'm terribly afraid he's going to die. I can't stand it!! Kanda started to fly over the misty lake. Wings spread out from Hikaru's back. He took Yumi by her hand and gently lifted her up. He also flew past the lake and the 3 of them flew over the lake as they were not even half way through. Hikaru got tired and his wings started to disintegrate into lifeless feathers. Kanda said "Hikaru, what's going on...?"
Hikaru said "Nothing, its just... I'm reaching my limit..."
Hikaru fell and plunged into the water. Yumi doggy pedaled up on the surface of the water. Kanda said "Hikaru, you're a disgrace... you let a girl fall along with you"
Hikaru got his head out of the water and said under his breath "I got tired..."
Kanda turned arround "Hmph. You could at least hand the girl to me before falling into the water."

[Augen]

Meanwhile, at the gate to the mansion...

"Hmmm? You sleeping," a young maid asked, looking up at the chinese gatekeeper. Indeed, she was asleep, but still standing in front of the gateway. "... You're no fun, China."

So the maid sat beside the gatekeeper for a while, waiting for someone to attack or for Sakuya to force her to do something... Something. Today was a rather uneventful day, and this young girl was very much bored.

Kanda helped Yumi out of the lake and sighed "Hikaru, you must master your Agyel wings..."
Hikaru formed his wings behind his back and slowly lifted himself up. He tired flew up into the air and said "Yeah I know... Sorry Yumi."
Yumi smiled and said joyfully "Oh, it's alright! However I don't think this is a good idea crossing this huge lake."
Kanda said "Nonsense, don't be rediculous. What can a lake do to you?"
Yumi was worried, she thought, Hikaru, huh...? Thats his name... Hikaru is going to die!! Why isn't any noticing the dangers of going to this Mansion!!! She stared at Hikaru as he flew accross the lake. Then Yumi thought she saw a person hiding in the mist. A mysterious figure. She decided to ignore the mysterious figure and decided not to warn Kanda and Hikaru since she didn't want to distract them from their flying. Soon they spotted a Mansion from a distant. And by the gate was a Maid and a Gatekeeper.

[Augen]

The maid looked up to the sky. Were those... Faeries? No... Something else.

"Meiling... Meiling, wake up," she said before giving the gatekeeper's face a big wet lick. "Nngh... What did you do that for," the gatekeeper asked, returning to conciousness. "We have visitors, Meiling!"

The gatekeeper looked skyward. Indeed, there were incoming figures in the distance... Had to be careful. "... Akane, you wait here. I have business to attend to," she said, kicking off the ground and flying torwards the visitors.

The figure hiding back in the mist started moving. Yumi kept her eye on the figure coming by. The figure drew a spell card. The figure said "Fate clock."
She had her target on Hikaru, Kanda and Yumi. Kanda and yumi had no number. However Hikaru had a 0 above his head! She said "Seems that the white haired has 0 days left till death... He will die today..."
Yumi heard the figure speak. She heard the exact words, she shouted "Hikaru! Turn back now! Please!"
Hikaru was very confused, he said "Huh? Why?"
Yumi shouted at him "You are going to die! Don't you get it! The curse of that Windmill! I would be surprised if you even survived through Hong Meirin!"
Kanda narrowed his eyes at the chinese girl flying toward them and said "Is that her?..."
Yumi thought, It's too late....She's here... Hikaru flew in front of Kanda and waved to Hong Meirin, he called out "Hi there!"

Korochi had seen the group of strangers crossing the lake and it was clear that the Mansion's gatekeeper would have a three-on-one battle on her hands. Fortunately for the gatekeeper there was no way that Korochi was going to let it become so one-sided and she decided to even the odds a little. She grinned as her arms and hands swelled and shifted to become massive reptilian heads on snakelike necks almost twice as long as her body, then she aimed her new heads towards the newcomers.

"I'll match Marisa just yet..." she said under her breath as a powerful magic beam burst from each of her Orochi mouths, aimed so as to hit the strangers without endangering the Mansion's gatekeeper.

[Augen]

Meiling flew in and released a volley of yellow flower petals that spread outwards torwards the intruders. A warning shot. "Halt! None shall pass this point without prior permission from Mistress Remilia! Turn back at onc--" Just then a mighty and lethal beam appeared, and Meiling swerved to the side in an attempt to avoid it... However, it then became obvious that she didn't need to. The shot wasn't aimed for her at all. "... That was odd," she muttered, looking around to see if she could identify the source of the attack.

"Hmmm? Thumteen wong, Mayween," asked a familiar voice... The maid, who flew with her tongue spinning as a rotor before she retracted it above Meiling and rested on her back. "Sllllrrrrrp! What was that beam, Meimei? It looked mighty powerful... Do you think our guests were able to avoid it?" "I don't know... I was too distracted by my own worries to pay close attention," Meiling replied, surveying the surrounding skies in search of the intruders.

Hikaru was still waving to Hong Meirin and listening to her talk. As the snakes were shooting a beam at Hikaru. Kanda grabbed Yumi and pushed her out of the way. Hikaru said to Hong "Well, I'm not going to like, do you guys any harm, I'm just following Kan-"
Hikaru was blown away by the Beam. He flew through the air as he thought, Such force! Hikaru turned his arms into Metal and his upper body luckily fast enoguh to minimize the damage. Hikaru thought, That beam could've blown a hole through me. Hikaru flew through the air and was caught by his collar. THe figure was grabbing Hikaru's collar. Hikaru looked up at the figure who apparently caught him. She said softly "You aren't very observant, aren't you? Not to mention, you are going to die today... I'm not surprised."
Hikaru said in shock "You too?!? Why is everyone telling me I'm going to die today! Who the hell are you?"
The figure said "My name is Haru Kisame... And I am here to find the where abouts of the Agyel's stone... And I beleive I see an Agyel travelling amoung your group."
Haru's last name caught Yumi's attention. Yumi said "Wait! We share the same last name! My name is Yumi Kisame!"
Kanda simply ignored Haru and shifted his eyes back to Hong Meririn, and down to Korochi. Kanda said glaring down at the one who shot the beam. His emotionless eyes filled with darkness, he said to Korochi "Was the necessary, now....?
Haru said "I don't give a care if we share a last name or what, the fact is you are in my way..."
Haru dropped Hikaru and floated accross the air. Hikaru maintained his balance and recreated his wings. Hikaru flew accross the water. and next to Kanda. Haru turned arround and flew back through the mist. Haru thought, I must tell Tsukiomi, I have found the source of our information.... Hikaru and Yumi watched Haru leave. Kanda still had his emotionless eyes fixed on Korochi, waiting for her answer...

Korochi brought her Orochi heads closer to her normal one and grinned savagely with all three of them. In truth she'd brought her heads together in case she needed to protect her main body but she was also taking the chance to taunt her opponent a bit. "Necessary? Of course. That gatekeeper isn't the brightest and I'm sure she'd have quite a bit of trouble dealing with three of you at once. You should be ashamed of yourselves, ganging up on her like that."

Her left head created a barrier between her and her opponent while her right head opened its mouth wide and began charging a shot, although she made it clear with the expression on her main head that she was waiting for her opponent to make the first move. "I'm just trying to even the odds a little."

She might have stopped just then if she'd seen the others leaving but she was too focused on her opponent to notice. As far as she was concerned the others were already beating up the gatekeeper and she was eager to dispose of this straggler so she could help with the real fight.

[Augen]

"... Not the brightest?" "Meimei, look down there! A snake!" "Yes, Akane. I noticed." "She's not going to hurt us, is she?" "No... At least, it doesn't sound like she's planning to."

Indeed, the two of them looked down to see a three-headed girl grinning viciously. But it did not seem that she was trying to intrude, at the moment. Perhaps she was hunting the visitors, Meiling thought... But neither she nor Akane could be certain yet.

Kanda looked down at Korochi, his eyes still fixed on hers. He knowing that he can't feel emotion said "I wish I could feel ashamed. I have no intention of fighting you or anyone here. However, you attacked the weakest of my comrades for no apparent reason. I cannot let that pass. Besides, I am the only one here that can fight, that demon girl can't even fly, and how do you expect a weakling like Hikaru to fight while holding a girl at the same time. It's pathetic"
Kanda passed Yumi to Hikaru and unsheathed his spear. Hikaru gently picked her up and flew higher into the air. Hikaru looked into Kanda's eyes from the side. His expression not changing one bit, Hikaru thought, Amazing... So that's what it means by having no emotion.... It must be sad, to be an Agyel. Yumi held on to Hikaru, she didnt want Hikaru to fight at all.

Haru found Tsukiomi Kisuke and told him all about the Agyel she saw. Tsukiomi said "I would like to check this out.... I think we are one step away from finding this stone."
Tsukiomi said "Haru, lead the way."
Haru lifted herself up and said "Its through this lake, Tsukiomi. This misty lake."
Tsukiomi ran accross the water following behind Haru. He thought,What is an Agyel doing in Gensokyo.....? Whatever he is up to, he just made my job easier.

Well, that was a bit embarrassing. Korochi made a mental note to study her opponents more carefully before starting her next fight. She wanted to stand down there and then but it seemed like her opponent was an honorable warrior who felt the need to punish her mistake and she would respect that. If he was as noble as he seemed, though, then he should at least allow her to clear up all doubts between them before the fight began.

"I don't suppose you'll want to hear me out but I'll say it anyway. I'm sorry I didn't notice you only had one fighter and I shouldn't have butted in so quickly. I'll surrender, but only since this one is my fault. I'm warning you, though, don't try to catch me by surprise because I'm faster than I look."

She shifted her arms back into their normal forms, but kept them tense in case the warrior attacked anyway.

Kanda completely understood Korochi and lowered his guard. He said "Hikaru, keep your eyes open next time."
Kanda start wrapping up his spear into his cloth. Yumi sighed in releif. Hikaru said "Well, hey, I didn't see that, dont worry, I won't let it happen agai-"
Hikaru and Yumi were blown from the sky into the ground right next to Korochi. Yumi hit her head hard on the ground and fell unconcious. Tsukiomi stepped out of the mist and said "My my... lots of little cockroaches today."
Kanda glared at him "Who the hell are you....?"
Tsukiomi said "It doesn't matter who I am... Agyel... All I want to know is, where is the Arch Agyel Stone?"
Kanda fixed his deadly eyes on him "Why do you think I would know?"
Tsukiomi said trying not to laugh "Because you are an Agyel. All Agyel's been to the Shirorai Shrine, right?"
Kanda stopped unwrapping his spear, he pulled off the cloth off his spear and lunged toward him "You will pay for what you just done!"
Kanda input energy into his spear causing the blade of the spear to glow with visible lightning. Kanda swung his spear toward Tsukiomi. Tsukiomi just raised his blade, and smiled. Kanda thought, His blade is metal, metal is a conductor of lightning! So if his blade touches mine, he should be electricuted. Kanda clashed blades against Tsukiomi. Tsukiomi stood there with a smirk. Kanda thought, Impossible, his blade completely nuillified my lightning. Kanda said "Thunder strike."
Kanda created an explosion of sound blowing Tsukiomi away. Tsukiomi then said out of the mist, "Great sword."
The energy arround Tsukiomi's sword amplified his sword so that the sword was almost 10 meters long and 2 feet wide. Tsukiomi slashed Kanda with his humoungous sword and sent him flying in the ground. Hikaru looked at Kanda, he was motionless. Hikaru opened his eyes wider, "There was a huge cut accross his upper body. Hikaru was raged with anger, he put his hand on his Volcan13 and shot a death stare right at Tuskiomi. Tsukiomi turned off his great sword and his sword returned to normal.

The attack caught Korochi completely by surprise but this time she knew there was no way for her to make her mistake again since the intruder had even hurt her previous opponent. She formed her two heads again and made a barrier with her left head. Her right head circled around the edge of the barrier, firing its magic beam as rapidly as it could towards the newcomer. "Hey, sneak attacks aren't fair!"
