Marisa had been looking for more of those mushrooms she used to fuel her magic, when she'd heard some sort of strange noise. She followed it, and came upon a disturbing sight. There was a clearing that looked... Well, parts of it had simply been torn apart, others looked scorched, and yet others looked frozen... Mostly frozen. There was a lot of dust in the air, so much that she was only judging by what was nearby, but the trees along the edges that hadn't been broken apart looked... Twisted. And those trees, along with parts of the ground, seemed to radiate an energy that gave her an uneasy feeling...
Marisa hovered above the ground on her broom as she slowly advanced forward, witnessing the devastation. Near the center of the clearing was the most horrific sight of all. A skeleton, in the middle of a large blood-soaked part of the ground. Well... Part of one. Only the torso was intact, and she realized that there were fragments of bone scattered around. The skull... Still had the face on it. Frozen inside an ice crystal, with a look of fear on it.
What had happened here?! This was just... Horrible! She looked up, and saw as the dust was fading, a shadow... With wings that looked like Flandre's. But it wasn't Flandre... She recognized it though, and this was her fault. If she hadn't read that spell in the library....
The figure suddenly zoomed off, and Marisa zoomed after it. She wouldn't let it get away! She wasn't going to let this happen again! She normally didn't care that much about people, but seeing that destruction, that face frozen in horror... This wasn't something she wanted to happen again.
And she continued chasing it, not watching anything else as she shot streams of danmaku at it and dodged its counterattacks. She was going to destroy this thing. Soon, they were out of the forest, but Marisa continued flying after it relentlessly.

Ah, what was a day? A miserable little pile of wasted time again, having done nothing of significance. It was (yet again she has to think this) boring. Heck, she'd kill just to have a reason to shoot at someth--
waitaseconddoublevision
Mima saw Marisa. Mima also saw Marisa. She had to do a double take (and not just because her hair was blond and not red) then realized what was actually going on here. Marisa screwed up again. Some things never change. Marisa was still getting herself into trouble. Both the one with and without wings were doing that just fine. Only one was more homicidal. Mima decided that the homicidal one was the wrong one after much debate, and simply picked a spot where the clone with wings would be in a moment...
Mima then charged up power, and after doing so quickly shot out* to hit where the clone would be....hopefully.
And yes, she did that from pretty far away. She practiced it, so of course~
*(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIIFJiM_AC4 at 2:30 is what it looks like, only exclude the going back part)

Marisa had just dodged an especially nasty counterattack from her clone when she saw something shoot out to come just beyond the other side of the opponent (who had slowed down momentarily during its attack) It didn't have time to change course, or even notice anything was in front of it before in that split second, it crashed into it, then began falling... It quickly recovered though.
However, Marisa's attention was now on the person who had come from out of nowhere... "Mima-sama!" Marisa cried, "It's been so long since I've seen you-" The reunion was interrupted as she heard the creature's voice, a crueler version of her own, speak. "I'd been hoping to gain more power before this battle, but it seems that I have little choice. Let's see how you handle the darkness of death's elements!" Its voice raised, as it called out the name of its spellcard. "Infernal Moon!"
Marisa looked toward the voice, and saw that its owner hadn't actually fallen very far. Before, when it had done this spell, it had already had the orbs from Orrery's Sun. However, this time it was different... Very different. It looked as if the light was being drained from the sun itself, in a stream leading to right above her head. Some of the water from a nearby lake was moving through the air, to directly below her. The wind appeared to have picked up a little dust, which was flying around her shoulder at rapid speed, and small chunks of rock were forming into one sphere next to her hip. All were about three feet away.
Suddenly, pure force emanated from Marisa's winged clone, shockwaves that Marisa was barely able to avoid being sent flying by, even at this distance. The light above turned into red flames, the water froze instantly, the wind suddenly became visible itself as green blades, and parts of the ball of rock exploded, leaving just the flower-like shape it'd had back at the library. Then, suddenly, the world around seemed to change...
Or rather, seem to be not there. Everything around was just completely random colors, the only thing in common being that they were dark. And at the center of each of the creature's weapons, there was a core of deep, dark energy, all connected by a dark purple crescent moon shape... In addition, the crystals on its wings were no longer white, but seemed to radiate darkness!
It spoke again, "I suppose it doesn't matter, I've gathered more than enough to wipe you from existence! Feel the power of death!" There was no question, it was definitely even more powerful than it had been before... But Marisa refused to lose! And now Mima-sama was here... There was no way this thing would win! Not a chance!
"MASTER SPARK!"

Ah, it seemed there was no time for a reunion. However, it was best to simply kill off this thing before starting one anyway. It wouldn't be nice to have a reunion with 2 Marisas anyway. It'd be weird.
.....Use the powers of death? Little did the clone know, she was already dead. Such attacks might hit, but the death part actually wasn't that scary. However, the attack the being used was actually rather intimidating (if such a thing existed to Mima, anyway). The world itself became a place fraught with peril. Of course, Mima was used to this thing after Stage 4 or something, so it didn't really matter much to her, she was barely phased.
But first, teasing it sounded a little like fun. Nothing to fear but death itself? What if death has already come and gone without so much as grazing her*?
"I've already felt the power of death. I'm still here~ <3"
And with that, she gathered her energy and got out her own 4 orbs**, then started to unleash a mass of bullets in the clones general direction for about 7 seconds, followed by sending the very orbs themselves (which hurt a lot more than imagined, and went rather fast).
*(The 'denying she was dead, just a spirit' thing is one of her ways to screw with people, much like claiming she was the 'god of the human world' in Mystic Square. It goes on and off.)
**(As seen on TV SoEW! Used differently though.)

As Marisa and Mima's attacks headed toward the clone, it unleashed its own attack, sending its crescent in an arc that would strike both Mima and Marisa if they didn't move... Marisa for one wasn't going to just sit there, and she quickly zoomed out of the way as it came toward her first. Her clone hadn't succeeded in completely avoiding the spark, being caught at the very edge, and it was hit by one of Mima's orbs as well as several of her bullets.
It grinned in response to what Mima had said to it, "Ah, you've already felt it? It seems that you need a bit more of it then if you haven't disappeared~" The crescent split into all its individual parts as it headed toward Mima, the crescent itself keeping its path, while the other components went in slightly different directions, though they all were still headed in Mima's general direction, and kept criss-crossing periodically. Every single part was still leaving behind a trail of bullets, which scattered...
Marisa, meanwhile, barely managed to avoid the scattering bullets from the trail it had left behind as she continued to shoot streams of danmaku at the creature, accompanied by two lasers at her side. This battle would NOT be a fast one... After all, this thing was as powerful as Marisa herself... More so actually. Hopefully not as powerful as Mima-sama...

Of course, Mima was going to move, downwards to duck right below it, grazing it on purpose for extra points. What a simplistic attack, something that she would have been able to dodge in her early years of being dead. Speaking of which, there really wasn't a way she could get any deader...but that aside.
"No, I think I'm as dead as I'm ever going to get. Matter of fact, making me more alive would probably w--oh what am I saying? Make me more dead~."
The crescent then started to split into many parts going towards her, which was quite unfair but easily manageable. She quickly went out of the way of the cluster segments as she can't quite phase through attacks like that, then had to deal with all the bullets that they left behind, which was easier to do after she moved farther away from their origin, and something she did quite well. All that practice really paid off~
Mima felt like she was battling a boss enemy now that she lived long enough, and started to default to her 'player' shot* and began to unleash destruction at everything in her sight (and she wasn't looking at Marisa).
*(As seen on TV Mystic Square! Used the same way too.)
