Nothing was going on in his life, nothing exciting, nothing new, nothing worthwhile. Outside the Forest of Magic, a man stood there, with his sword sheathed, and strapped to is right side. His sword pulsed loudly. “I’m aware of the dangers, but you said it yourself, I need more training, and what a better place to train, than one of the more dangerous places in this world. we will never have the chance to truly test our skills if we stay in that damn human village all our lives…” Jukan spoke to himself as his sword pulsed once again. “Wasn’t it YOUR suggestion to enter the Magic Forest to train on the creatures that emerge?” The sword went quiet, and Jukan snickered. “Then it is settled, lets move my friend.” With this, he enters the forest for the first time, even with the rumors that were spread, Jukan felt confident he could survive this adventure.

Marisa was out looking for mushrooms for her spells again... And a good chance to run into Youkai to pick fights with, seeing how bored she was. Maybe she should head the Misty Lake after this, either see if she could find Cirno or just beat up Meiling for the fun of it, at least she knew where they were. Or maybe just head to the shrine and visit Reimu. Something usually ended up happening around there.
As she went through the forest, she eventually came upon what appeared to be a tall human man with unusually spiky red hair. He also was carrying a sword. "Who are you ze~?" she asked curiously. Humans didn't come to the forest often, there were lots of Youkai around. She wouldn't pause long before going back to looking for the mushrooms if he didn't answer. Quiet people were boring, even if they did come all the way out here...

His sword pulsed as soon as he was spoken to. It would seem someone else was speaking with him. “I’m here on a routine training run, it’s a survival training I just decided to indulge myself in, risking my own life in order to improve my skills” He explained in a heartbeat. His sword pulsed once again and he placed his hand on the hilt of the blade. “I can say what I please, I’m sure its rare for a human to walk into this wilderness, and it may increase the chances of a challenge…” Jukan whispers as he grasps tightly. The sword pulses again, and a vain bulges on his forehead. “shut the hell up you damn sword!!! You know why I entered this forest!! AND IT WAS NOT TO MEET GIRLS!!!” He shouts at the top of his lungs. His sword did have a tendency to pick on him for no real reason, and it seemed it was picking on him now. He turned over to the girl who spoke to him. He closed his eyes, and turned away. “I apologize; I’ll be on my way now.” Jukan spoke as he began to walk off.

Ah, here for training against Youkai. That made sense. Suddenly though, the man put his hand on his sword hilt, and seemed to be whispering something to himself. What a weirdo... Then suddenly... Wait, was he shouting at his sword to shut up? Then again, she had run into stranger things than talking swords~ Like goddesses that looked like they were eight years old and were obsessed with frogs...
The guy apologized for his outburst and said he'd be on his way. Marisa had another idea in mind though~ She leapt on her broom and then flew past him, lowering herself to be right in front of him. "If you want to train, how about doing it with me? I'm pretty bored, and you're not likely to find any opponent who's anything like me out there. If you really want to risk your life, then just take the risk that I'll leave you for dead after I beat you~"
There was a glint of challenge in her eyes. She wanted to fight, and he'd pretty much said that he was looking for one as well. She looked straight at him, "Or are you more scared of a single girl than an entire forest of Youkai~?" She didn't have any idea how he'd react to that, but she hoped he'd rise for the bait~

Jukan had a calm mind about this. The girl leaped onto a broom, and appeared in front of him. Jukan snickered and his sword pulsed. The nerve bulged once again at his forehead as he unsheathed his sword by a single inch. “Damn it Usamane, how many times…..” He took a deep breath and placed the sword back down all the way. He looked at the girl who was to be his opponent. He was aware of the power most humans possessed could easily exceeded a Youkai. “Training is training. I don’t discriminate between male and female opponents. I’ll be honored top take you on….” He spoke as he slowly unsheathed his sword. Jukan’s eyes lit up, he was eager for a challenge. You could even say he was fired up for combat.

Yes! He was taking the challenge! "Alright then," she said as she rose up into the air, "Let's see how you deal with this~" She released a number of star shaped shots around herself, that pretty much went in random directions even as she kept moving around him in different directions. Her movements would be pretty much random until he actually attacked.
Though the shots were actually rather spread out, if the man didn't pay attention, he'd probably be hit, seeing as how they were pretty much coming from all directions due to Marisa's movement. This was really one of her most basic attacks though, so if he couldn't handle it, he wouldn't have stood much chance against the Youkai in the forest anyway.

Jukan couldn’t help but laugh., The attack wasn’t even all that fierce, he could dodge without trying, but he noticed the randomness. With extreme speed, he lashed out a blaze of fire which wiped out a majority of the stars that flew. Any that may have headed in his direction were vaporized, he wasn’t impressed. “Is that all you got?” he asked in a cocky voice. That wasn’t much of an attack. By looking at Jukan, anyone could tell that the next attack would be aimed at her. Jukan didn’t waste any time either, Before anyone knew it, a blaze of flames was headed straight for his opponent, he wasn’t even beginning to tap into 1/10 of his power.

Marisa hadn't really expected the guy to have much trouble with her attack. She'd partially just been testing to see if he was just some kind of idiot... And it looked like he was, actually wasting enough power to destroy bullet. No one did that on such an easy attack, no matter how tough they were.
She called down to him, "Heh, that's far from all I've got~ And you still didn't even dodge it~" At this point, she saw his flames coming through the air toward her, and simply dodged effortlessly. Clearly this guy knew nothing about spell card duels, that was even more pathetic than that joke attack she'd sent at him.
"You wouldn't stand a chance against the Youkai in the forest like that~" she taunted him, "I've had more trouble with little insects~"She then laughed, "But if you want to see me fight seriously, I'll be happy to do that ze~"
"Magic Space~ Asteroid Belt!" she called out, and her spellcard began. This was far more difficult than her last attack. She wondered if the guy would even realize that she'd been toying with him on her last attack... Considering what she'd seen of his intelligence so far, it somehow seemed unlikely.

Jukan couldn’t help but laugh. It would seem she was now sending a more powerful variation of her last attack towards him. As the stars began to fly in his direction. He saw how there were many more projectiles than last time flying his way. The gaps were wide; they were more than enough for him to dodge as they arrived. This time he sheathed his sword and began walking forward. “Magic is not a specialty of mine, nor do I expect it to ever to be. But one thing I’m aware of, the more skilled you are in spells and magical attacks, the less skill you have at hand to hand!!” He starts at a whisper, walking slowly through the attack. AS he started to speak, he seemed to zoom though her attack, and prepared a vertical slash right in front of her. His speed was great, he had hoped it would be enough to catch her off guard.
