Byakuren is... Well, kind. She cares deeply for both humans and youkai, and deeply wishes for them to all see each other as equals. She gladly fights for her ideals, struggling her hardest against any form of oppression or discrimination without yielding.
Byakuren will help anyone in need that she comes across, regardless of any cost to herself. If she witnesses a conflict, she'll try to resolve it so that it works out the best for everyone involved. She also usually ends up befriending, or at least earning the respect of, those she helps as well.

Dislikes:
Those who would discriminate against or oppress others for things that they cannot control, or that don't harm anyone else.
Absolute darkness, as it reminds her of all the time she was sealed. She can handle dim light however, as long as she can at least see something
Absolute silence, for the same reason as above. There needs to be some kind of sound besides her own breathing and hearbeat around.
Greatest Fear: Being sealed away again, or killed, unable to help anyone
Ambitions/Desires: For youkai and humans to all live peacefully as equals.
Weapons:
The only thing Byakuren has that truly resembles a weapon is a scroll she uses to help focus her magic power. It appears to be made of multi-colored light in strange patterns, linked by two handles.
Abilities and Fighting Style:
Byakuren actually specializes in support magic that increases physical abilities, which essentially allows her or her allies to gain strength or speed for a time. However, she is also able to use powerful offensive magic, primarily light. She also is able to use powerful healing magic, and can even cure illnesses with her power.
When she's not attacking directly using magic, she will shrink her scroll to a more manageable size and put it away, and attack up close with martial arts. She is far more flexible than most human beings, and can pull off some rather impressive moves.

Exceptional at working with others, due to the nature of the spells she specializes in.
Weaknesses:
Though fast in melee combat, she is unable to take hits from physical attacks well. (This isn't a problem with magic however)
Has a phobia of the dark. It will take several seconds to recover her concentration even after light returns if her sight is completely blocked out by darkness for even one second. Dark magic will have a similar effect on her, even if it doesn't block her sight.
Similarly, she cannot focus through absolute silence. If there is no sound besides her own breathing and heartbeat for five seconds or more, she'll become so unable to concentrate on anything else that she won't be able to move straight, much less cast magic.
If her scroll is taken away from her somehow, she'll only be able to use her magic at about half its normal effect, as she's used to using it to help focus them.
