Let's get to work. Title means absolutely nothing.
-------------
It was high noon at the river area located at the base of the formidible crag that was the Youkai Mountain. The sky above is painted a gloomy shade of grey, the clouds heavy with the coming rains that would soon shower down on the world below. Most youkai quickly headed home or sought shelter from the coming rains, not wanting to risk catching a death of a cold that usually followed with staying out in such weather for too long.
However, while some flee from the rain, others don't mind it at all. Such is the way of water going youkai like one Hojou Gamatatsu, who often finds joy whilst playing in the rain. Of course, this wasn't saying he didn't find joy out of playing in general. Being a rather childish youkai, Hojou simply loves playing games, more so with others, and the thought of going out in the rain and making 'Mud Angels' (which is the equivalent of making snow angels...only with mud) made the Axolotl shiver with excitment.
Although, for now, he simply sat on a large boulder staring up at the gloomy heavens awaiting the rains to fall, like the clouds looked to be promising. Yes, there were many patches of mud at the riverbank, but Hojou prefered it if he could make his 'mud angels' farther away from the water, that way he wouldn't have to worry about them being washed away by the river that would most likely swell if it happens to rain far more than expected. Which happens no and then, but even then Hojou didn't mind it...after all, it is always nice to have a deeper pool to swim in, right?
"Rain...rain...come again." Hojou murmured in a sing song tone, tilting his head left and right at the melody he began to play in his head to help occupy himself until the rains came like he had wanted. The axolotl paused for a second and turned his head to gaze further down the winding path of the river, seeing no one else around...not even a kappa who were rather common around these parts of the mountain. Waiting in anticipation for the sweet rains was one thing, but it was still rather lonely to do so all by yourself.
Hojou sighed and returned his gaze to the skies above, maybe someone would happen to wander on by. Then again, the mountain has been unusually quiet these days...not even the gods that were rumored to live atop the mountain seemed to be doing anything. Oh well, it looked like he will be playing by himself again...
