Too much to do, too little time

Ah, the Forest of Magic. What...familiar territory.

Yokoshima was enjoying a walk through this forest, as it was part of her daily routine. Most wildlife strayed away from her usual walk area, but she changed it every so often in order to 'see new things' and catch people unaware. In this case, the wildlife already knew her walking area again, and thus there were none in sight. She was thinking about changing her route in a few days, then pictured a few cats stuck in a tree, with her nearby. She chuckled, then decided to sit down next to a tree, and ponder random things. Time to yourself is important, because as entertaining as the screams of those people back home were, they tend to cloud up the mind.

She heard about many things happening recently, like the chaos god's castle, the appearance of several people through what best can be described as dimensional rifts, an increase of organized criminal activity, crossing the Great Border, using the sun to create energy, so much things to take advantage of, so little time!

This human lifespan was like a curse. She would be but a little splash in the world if she couldn't exist more than 200 years, after all. What she needed was to remain CONSTANT throughout the flow of time, in order to work up the power to transform everything into her own personal paradise, to enjoy for hundreds of years to come.

But at the moment she was just a little speck that only had the potential to be a bigger speck. It was maddening, to the point where she spoke to herself.

"Argh...I need time to relax, but it seems I can't relax with this clock ticking above my head...Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock..."

She then gave a sigh, and continued thinking to herself. Perhaps all she needed was fresh blood. That wasn't to say she'd snack on it, she wasn't a cannibal. She just needed someone new in her life, a new toy. Maybe one would come if she just started wrecking the forest...hmmm. Ah, but that would attract youkai hunters, who'd mistake her for being a youkai and seal her or kill her, and then there were the actual youkai, and then...

Gah, numbers sucked. All these restraints to keep her from doing wrong, and if she could do no wrong she'd quite simply die of boredom. So, it was about time to do some, lest she go mad.

[Crystal]

Getrio was feeling great. She dedicided to have a "check" stroll to make sure that the Forest was calm on that particular day so she could take her little brother out for a walk later on. It was pretty sunny but freezing cold. She'd have to think about how cold her brother may be especally since he hates wearing a coat. It seemed pretty quiet yet safe. Getrio was certain that someone was near.

Getrio went to walk by a tree when she saw the most scariest thing she's ever seen. Getrio wasn't sure wether the woman was a youkai or a human from her apperance. Her hair was sugar pink but her face had blood streaming down from her cheeks and all over her clothes. Getrio hid behind another tree to make sure that she didn't see her.

Getrio is a very calm person but for the first time in her life she was panicking and sweating heavily. "Dear Lord" she thought, getting a closer view of the creature. She seemed to be quite restless. Getrio wondered if she was trying to relax.

The forest was indeed calm. It was absurdly calm, as no one wanted to be anywhere near this monster.

Yokoshima's attempt at relaxation suddenly, to the point of creepiness for reasons about to be explained, got better. Yes, she needed fresh blood. And it was the fresh blood that broke the stillness of the day, though the source was unknown. It's location was hard to judge, but she knew the direction it was coming from, and what her thoughts were. She based this off what she heard, the words that broke the silence, 'dear lord'.

Dear lord indeed. Yokoshima gave a demonic (no wonder many people assume she's a youkai) chuckle at the words, then tried to note the reasons she was scared:

1. Yokoshima looked herself today. She's a pretty scary looker, especially the marks that resembled blood on her face, left hand, and legs (though the legs weren't visible). A potential misunderstanding could lead to an added level of being scared, and the fact that it would be a first impression would delight Yokoshima oh so much.

2. The onlooker knew who she was, and wasn't prepared for her. She was somewhat famous due to a few of her toys getting away, survivors from her attacks, and other such things. If you knew who she was, you'd go 'dear lord' too. This would also delight Yokoshima, as she loves the fear she instills on others.

3. Apparently someone has a phobia of people. Not likely, but there sure are a lot of weird folk around here. That would just be weird, but it'd explain why the person is here.

Hoping for numbers one and two to be the reasoning and with a question to be answered, Yokoshima stood up, quite calmly, and then spoke in a rather creepy sing-songish voice:

"Oh why, oh why, are you hiding from me, and just where are you anyway~"

Getrio froze. She knew that the forest definetly wasn't safe. Getrio charged up her electricity. Her horns crackled loudly, a lot louder than usual. Her face went bright red, it was probably due to the fact she was petrified. Getrio dedcided it was best to show her face. Getrio emerged from behind the tree then ducked her head down, not wanting to look at the female creature.

"W-w-who are y-you?" Getrio stammered. It was probably all the sweat the caused her thunder to act wierdly now she thought about it. Her horns were making a racket now and they were probably as loud as fire when it's placed in water. "What a-are you d-d-d-d *clears throat* doing here?"
Getrio hoped she wasn't who she thought she was.

The crackling of the horns quickly gave away her position, therefore it was good that she revealed herself afterward. Further hiding would have done no good.

When she showed her face, it was confirmed: she was scared as hell. What was surprising was that this girl was an oni. I mean, she didn't look drunk, true, but oni are known to be quite fearless thanks to their power. Perhaps either they've softened up, or this girl knew who she was and was only slightly more fearful than the typical oni.

...Yokoshima wondered about the implications of taking an oni captive. Just how much could she break such a species? More reactive to pain? Many memories to alter? Ah-hahaha, she was in a good mood already. What fresh blood can do~

It would be rude not to answer the questions that were asked, as she had already listened to her request of revealing herself.

"I'm Yokoshima, and I'm out for a walk. You know, because the voices of others get too loud after a while, so I need a refresher. Of course, with all that crackling you're making I just might have to take another walk soon."

The crackling was annoying, but not as much as she made it sound like. She actually planned on returning earlier, for 'certain reasons' which may or may not be within the immediate area.

[Crystal]

Getrio counted to ten and then tried hard to calm down. It was sub zero tempretures outside yet she was sweating rapidly. Getrio was calm enough to charge her thunder even more. The woman was exactly who she thought she was. Her mother told her things about Yokoshima when she was younger, a few days before she passed away. People always say she looks like her mother even though Getrio looks exactly like her dad but with hair about as long as her mother's.

Getrio's horns calmed down and stopped the noise. Her electricity didn't stop though. It travelled through her body, ready for a fight. the young oni's instincts made her a lot braver when this happened as she knew she had a lot of defense. "Hmm." Getrio muttered. She knew she'd be here a long time and her brother'd be worried when she does come back. Getrio noticed a cherry tree and zapped a couple of and caught them. getrio chewed slowy as she's not used to being watched when eating.

Clearly, due to her mood, it became obvious that she was afraid, big time, for real, most certainly yes. Appearance does not do that to people (usually), so she must have heard of Yokoshima. She look a look at her face, a clearly obvious look that pretty much said 'I'm looking at the sweat on your face'.

"I assume you know me, then. If you sweat too much, you might catch hypothermia, and die. We can't have an able body and soul die now, right? Dying isn't fun for anyone."

And she chuckled again, but this was far more ominous. She didn't like it when people died after all, as death is but an escape.

The crackling stopped when Getrio commanded it to, which was a nice (small) relief for her. But it didn't look like the electricity stopped, and it was clear that she wouldn't have wanted it to when she zapped the cherries and started eating them. Why? Hey, some people eat when they're nervous.

"So, is there a reason that you know me? Some stories? Personal reasons? An actual visit from me? I can't remember everyone, you know. Just the ones I see regularly."

And another chuckle, as ominous as the last.

She appeared about as ready to fight as before, but she was more than ready to actually do so.

Getrio was calm now and noticed that the cherries were losing thier sweet taste and were going sour. She knew that if she wanted to get away from the woman then she'd have to fight, even if she used her lightning powers to zap herself home. Getrio decided she should at least say something as it was getting pretty old now and she'd might aswell get the fight over and done with. "My mother said she'd seen you before atacking someone else who... and she left out to fight you. I don't know if she reached you or mnot though... but if she did then this is for her."

Getrio slowly lifted her arms above her head then she thought to herself, "This is for you mother... and for my little brother too, to keep you safe in this world. Lightning, come to me, travel through my horns and give me stronger ligtning power!" One of the clouds above the earth thundered then sent down a lighting bolt that hit the young oni's horns then charged her even more. The noise was a lot more than crackling this time. Thunderous racket as it charged her more than before.

Even though Getrio can already charge and shoot, lightning from the sky makes her 4x as powerful than she already is. Static electricity is the way she usually charges rather than summoning the sky to shoot bolts of lightning at her. Getrio was sizzling with electric power now. A grin appeared on her face. Getrio quickly shot her arm out hoping that most of the power would save 'til later.

Another bolt of lightning coming from the skyy-to-Getrio-to-attacker roared across the forest. Then there was a big black fog. Getrio wondered if Yokoshima was struck or not. Getrio had discharged a load of energy, more than she wanted to. The rage must have caused it. Her emotions always effect how she uses her powers. Weakest at happy, strongest at absolutely furious.

Getrio coughed a few times in the thick cloud of smoke. Then she wiped the last of her sweat off her forehead. Her job could be done here, even still she was trying her hardest to see Yokoshima through the fog. Hopefully it hit her instead of a tree and set it alight.

While Getrio was busy with her speech, Yoko decided now would be a good time to get in her 'darkness' form. There was still plenty to talk about, like how her living conditions in hell were going to be like, and how she'll end up torturing the location of her little brother out of her. But for now, there was only battle. Yokoshima was allowed to go all out, as her enemy is an oni, and therefore quite powerful. If she judged anyone by their appearance, she'd have been dead a long time ago. Just a few more words before she became the darkness...

"What is a family, once you're in the place worse than hell? Something I'll have LOTS of fun with."

One more evil chuckle later, and she transformed into a rather large ball of darkness, 100% ready for battle. And then, Getrio shot her arm out, for one massive opener.

If Yokoshima wasn't waiting for the first strike to come, it might have hit. But, she was fully prepared for any sudden assaults, and swiftly moved to the left of the attack. Her response to this attack was to morph into a spear with a rather long and sharp tip, and lunged at her target at a rather high speed. Oni can live that, but it's sure gonna hurt if it connects.

[Crystal]

Getrio knew this would be deadly. She dodged it as best as she could but even so, she was hit. Getrio collapsed painfully on the ground. She remembered something very inportant was underground to do with electricity from the outside world. Getrio's body was literally made of electricity. If she were to go underground and change back she'd be in a state without her clothes.

Since Yokoshima had turned into darkness Getrio thought that wouldn't be a fair fight unless she used all her powers. Getrio thought that since she'd been hit by a charging coloud she could do a bit of faking. Getrio turned her arm into electricity then let it soak into the ground. Hopefully this plan would work even though her body would get a few bruises in the process.

Getrio struggled to get up with her hand on where her right shoulder should be and frowned angrily at the cloud. Yokoshima should be wondering what happended to her arm if her plan's worked or another way is if Yokoshima thinks that Getrio's weakned by losing an arm and will be easy to defeat. Hopefully she didn't figure her out.

And the hit landed! Huzzah, but she also lost her arm.

...Wait, what?

This was rather puzzling, but she did pull off an angry frown. Most people would be crying or otherwise have more of an extreme reaction if they lost their arm by normal means. But none of this mattered. She was still alive, and still conscious. More pain is required. Mercy is for the weak-minded and weak-willed. The battle is not over until the enemy knocked out, or special circumstances.

She wasn't quite a cloud of darkness, rather a blobish thing of darkness. And the blob then returned into it's ball form and proceeded to become a spiked ball, then proceeded to charge at a good speed at her enemy, without doing any backing up at all. A constant offense seemed like the plan.

Getrio moved steadily still faking the arm act. When Yokoshima charged she knew this was her chance. Getrio bowed her head forward and shot a roaring beam of lightning towrads the enemy then she decided itwas about time to give her arm a better use than fall off. Her plan was going smoothly. Getrio summoned both her arm and some power from the cables underground to come back to her.

The electricity was supposed to come out right underneath Yokoshima, electricuting her. Hopefully to fry her, the extra power Getrio brings from the mains should be left to go through Yokoshima's body while her hand goes straight through her. Getrio had to wait until Yokoshima hit her to send out all of the power including the lightning from her horns.

Yokoshima was getting very close now. Getrio would bee hit straight in the stomach. Then she'll decide to to rip her limb from the ground and release all of her electicity. Getrio summoned the lightning. It crashed down on her. Then... her horns realeased energy, her arm and main-power came from the ground, excruciating pain reached her stomach. The electricty travelling through her body would have surely hit Yokoshima if she'd timed it right.
