Move or Stay

So Augen, Gen and I were talking about stuff and we decided that stuff needs to happen. Exactly what that stuff entails we haven't fully decided on yet, but there's one thing we know we need to do.

Some of the characters just don't work.

So we came up with one of two solutions.

1.) We move to a different URL and have a fresh start.

2.) We go through all the profiles, unapprove the ones that should have never been accepted in the first place and ask that the creator of that character fix them.

So citizens of Gensokyo, I am letting you decide! Do we stay at gensokyo.proboards.com or do we move to some other URL?

I say stay. It should be possible to simply wipe the site of content and rebuild, which we would have to do anyway if we move. Also, we're fortunate to have just 'gensokyo' in the page address, not 'gensokyo123' or some other inane alphanumeric phrase.

If we really need to rebuild, let's do it right here. I have some Proboards experience and I'll be happy to lend a hand if necessary.

Im actually starting to agree with Recon. Good thinking, man.
If I am allowed to change my vote from Move URL to Stay, then I'll change. But if I am not allowed I guess thats ok. Either way works.

If we do stay here but do a content wipe, it'd probably be best to put the old threads in some sort of invisible containment category. Even if we won't ever use them again, it'd be a bummer to just thrust it all into oblivion... And besides, we never know when we might need an old thread for reference.

I say we should stay. I've literally just posted an advert and I've got an e-mail from my friend asking for the URL incase they want to move. It's best for the community too. I f we move it could lead to inactivity. It's also a really unique URL. gensokyo.proboards is probably what most people would expect from probably the only touhou RPG around. It's nice here. Moving will take months too and I'd probaly end up in Switzerland by then. I agree with everyone else. Starting new and getting all the javascript codes... It only me a day to sort out to sort out the colour and stuff from my old forum.
