Name: Augenstein Rovde
Nicknames/Titles Augen (for short), Agent Orange (Rikako's team)
Age: 17
Age Appearance: 17
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Appearance: Click
Personality: Augen has a delightful personality. Sometimes he is calm and collected, other times he's alert but carefree. One thing that can be said about Augen is that he is almost always happy. If he's not, than chances are somebody made a mistake and Augen wants to fix it. This is the only time he truly becomes malicious... Almost never happens though. This does not mean, however, that combat is rare for him.
Though it doesn't really hinder his happy attitude, Augen becomes a little over-cautious when Youkai are around.
Likes: Food (though he's very picky), shooting things, girls, festivities, games and competitions, shooting things, being sneaky, forests, shooting things.
Dislikes: Not much. He really doesn't like hypocrites, assumptious people, people who can only see things from one angle, or people who over-react... Overall, though, he likes people.
Greatest Fear: Never being able to return home... Though he certainly takes his time here.
Abitions/Desires: Well he wants to go home... But first he wants to find a means of trans-dimmentional travel that can be controlled without an arcane field. Which is why he works for Rikako and why he's still sticking around.
Abilities and Fighting Style: When Augen crossed the Hakurei border, he carried with him many utilities, which include: A liuxing chui, a tazer, a revolver with the word "Judge" carved in one side and "Judy" carved on the other, a small iron club, and various gadgets and things. Most of his spell-card abilities manipulate or rely on these items.
Augen has mild regeneration, can climb flat vertical surfaces, and has the following spell cards:
Caution Sign - Cradle of Love: Augen's liuxing chui extends into a hectic web across the area, limiting the opponent's movement and lowering their evasion, which in turn leaves them vulnearable to Augen's Judge Judy.
Caution Sign - Deflection Stick: Augen wields his club in a stance, rushing the enemy with springy jump attacks while at the same time trying to hit their bullets back at them. The latter part generally doesn't work, though.
Caution Sign - Double Meteor: Augen releases a second liuxing chui, and both of them extend outward and move at Augen's will. Sometimes they snake torwards the enemy, and other times they spin in a continuous pattern.
Caution Sign - Ruyijing bang: Augen's club extends to become an 8-foot longstaff, but remains easy for him to use.
Joy Sign - Say Hello: Augen's Judge Judy becoumes more like a machinegun, spreading rapidfire bullets across a wider range than usual. Rather than using bullets, this attack opperates as long as Augen can focus.
Joy Sign - You Wa Shock: Augen's tazer releases streams of electrical energy, mostly consisting of beams of electricity that move straight about 30 feet before redirecting as Augen wills them.
Joy Sign - Rubber bullet: Augen's bullets bounce off walls and other objects, possibly hitting a target Augen initially missed a shot at. Like "Say Hello", this uses Augen's concentration instead of ammo.
A brief summary of Augen's regenerative abilities: Augen can regenerate almost any injury provided he has enough time. Small wounds heal quickly, but something like a limb could take about a week. However, he is by no means immortal, and removing the brain from the spinal column will cause Augen to die. Any remnant of the spinal column, however, will allow Augen to regenerate, so killing him is best achieved by carefully pulling the spinal column out of the brain.
Strengths: Augen doesn't go down easily. Pain doesn't mean much to Augen, as he is able to quiet his nerves. However, he is by no means immortal, and removing the brain from the spinal column will cause Augen to die. He is also quite resistant to mental and emotional magic.
Weaknesses: Many of Augen's spell cards don't work if he is distracted or cannot focus. Kicking him in the back wouldn't do much, but stealing his glasses or covering his eyes can interupt some of his spell cards.
Augen is also vulnerable to Aikido, which can surpass his tollerance torwards pain. This martial art can take him down very easily, and if injured by Aikido he takes significantly longer to regenerate. A few spells also have this affect on him.
Also, being that he is from the outside wold, he is not very proficient with magic, and occasionally one of his spells will backfire and turn against him. As a direct hit from nearly anything will cause a large amount of damage, getting hit hard by a spell will likely take a long time to regenerate. His origins also result in him being easily fooled by illusions and shapeshifters.
History: Augen was once a mercenary in the outer world, hired by Russian scientists to retrieve a stolen vial of some confidential substance. Searching for the thief eventually led him to Japan, and eventually he managed to track down his target. His target, which appeared quite human tried to flee from Augen, but Augen persistently persued the criminal, who ran in the direction of a nearby Shinto Shrine. This proved a mistake on the target's part, as it was then cornered and defeated by Augen. What Augen did not realize until he left the shrine, however, was that he was no longer in the world he belonged to. This concerned him greatly, and he had completely forgotten about the substance he was hired to retrieve.
Since then, Augen has been working as an assistant for Rikako Asakura, and in the meantime has been puting research into finding out how the spiritual border works, in hopes that he might be able to duplicate the effect through the use of technology.
So far, he has formulated some theories as to the physical structure and development of the border, but nothing is confirmed.
