Name: Drake Aurelis
Age: He doesn't know himself. His traveling between time and worlds probably adds up to considerably more than the average human lifetime.
Age Appearance: 16
Race: Considers himself human, though questions if he should. Would be considered a Youkai here in Gensokyo.
Gender: Male
Height: 6' 7"
Weight: 200
Appearance:His thick, straight, dark brown hair is not really long per se, but it's not really short either. It goes about halfway down his neck in the back, and on the sides it goes just past the tops of his ears, though it doesn't hang down at all, it lays flat against his skin. His bangs go almost all the way down to his green eyes. He likes to wear light green clothes, with a dark green cape over them. His height is rather imposing, especially for only 16, and people often are surprised when they see his height. He carries himself rather cautiously at all times, though also rather quickly. He has a mark on the back of his right hand, which is shaped like the silhouette of a dragon seen from the side, and colored black. He also wears a simple silver pendant with a copy of the image drawn on it.
When he is angry, or excited in battle, his eyes seem to change. They become golden, with slit pupils that almost appear to be tiny windows, looking into a world of endless flames.
Personality:He always wants to help people in need, regardless of the cost to himself. He is also rather impulsive, and if he sees a fight break out, he almost always feels the need to intervene. He has a bit of a temper, and is easily annoyed, though it is difficult to get him from being annoyed to outright enraged. He tends to make sarcastic, cynical, or occasionally just plain slightly joking comments about whatever situation he's in. When he's annoyed, his comments tend have more of an edge to them...
He cannot stand people who don't care who they hurt in their greed. He naturally also hates those who do evil for the sake of evil.
He is not very good with people, even though he likes to talk with people most of the time, he's not good at carrying on a conversation, and often talks with him will end abruptly and awkwardly, or with a misunderstanding due to his wording something rather poorly. He tends to tread a very thin line between being blunt and tactful, he's usually not afraid to come out and say what he wants to, but he tries not to be too harsh or just plain excessively rude either. All of this combined means that he usually ends up with either good friends or people he can't stand that can't stand him, rarely in between. He tries to be tolerant of people, but occasionally he will lose his temper and give a very frightful scare to the person he is angry at as they are lifted into the air.
Abilities and Fighting Style:
Spells:
Blades of Truth:
In a flash of light, Drake summons two swords to fight with, that appear in his hands.
The first one is made of a very light, pale golden colored metal. There are symbol shaped spots on the blade that are of a darker, though still golden, color. The handguard looks like a set of wings. There is a multi-colored gem in between the "wings". The blade is sort of wavy, though each "wave" ends at an actual sort of angle, rather than just being smooth waves. The tip of the blade is pointed as well. This blade is short and very fast. When magical power is focused through it, the handguard glows with a bright light.
The second sword:

The blade appears to be forged out of an orange gem. Still slightly lighter around the edges, though not as extreme as this. The wider part of the blade near the hand isn't as extreme, and out from that, it is longer, the blade getter thinner more slowly out towards the end. (in proportion.) The part right before the wider part near the hand isn't as wide either. This sword is very long, and a bit slower than the other. When magical power is focused through this sword, the blade catches with what appears to be fire, though it is blue, and freezing cold, even as the blade itself becomes insanely hot.
After the spell is cast, Drake is able to "sheathe" or "draw" either sword in an instant, making them disappear or appear really, unless he is holding one in two hands.
Aura
He releases a burst of light around him, which then forms into a glyph in front of him, taking any opponents caught up and holding them. The glyph then releases a wide beam of light in front of it for some considerable distance. Somewhat powerful, but difficult to use, due to the casting time.
Grave
Three spears of stone shoot from the ground surrounding the opponent, and converge directly over its head. There is room to escape however. After about five seconds, a large number of smaller ones pierce the opponent, and then finally, a huge one erupts from directly underneath, shattering the rest of the stone, and then shattering itself after carrying the opponent ten feet into the air. Powerful.
Frostblitz
A number of fairly large icicles appear in the air around the opponent, in a circle. They sit there doing nothing for about ten seconds, before lightning shoots from the sky and strikes them. After another five seconds of the electricity building up, the lightning shoots between the icicles, forming a web of lightning. This lasts for twenty seconds, before the icicles explode into shards, and the electricity crackles violently. After ten seconds of the wild electricity, the ice shards fuse together into a huge ice crystal, still charged with electricity. It lasts for thirty seconds like that, before lightning strikes the crystal again, and it shatters. Any opponent that feels the full effects of this is almost certain to no longer be able to fight, but potentially, they could escape anytime before the crystal forms. The difficulty of doing so varies depending on the stage however, it is of course easiest, and ideal, to escape early.
Skyfire
Drake conjures a single blade of wind, which he quickly tosses at the opponent. If it hits, which it probably will with its speed, it seems to then become a thousand blades of wind, swirling around the target quickly. After ten seconds, they speed up further, basically turning into an absolute whirlwind, which then catches on fire. The flaming tornado lasts for ten seconds before exploding violently. It is easy to escape the full effect however. The swiftly whirling blades are disorienting, but not constricting.
Blood Pain
Spears of black light form in front of Drake, and then fly towards the enemy at the speed of sound, before exploding. It is fast, nearly impossible to dodge, and incredibly powerful. However, with such incredible power comes a huge price. Drake is put into utter, paralyzing agony for a full minute. It leaves him completely vulnerable during that time. This makes it a last resort, used only when Drake believes he's about to lose anyway, and there is too much at stake. He truly hates this spell, the pain isn't the only thing that goes into it either...
Abilities:
Healing Light
Drake has the power to heal himself and those around him completely. He won't use this in a duel with spell cards, he considers it cheating, but afterwards, he's likely to heal both himself and his opponent. He can even heal sickness and poisons to a degree, but he isn't currently powerful enough to do more than alleviate the symptoms of anything serious.
Dragon Rise
Drake has the ability to transform into a dragon instantly, with a flash of light.
Drake's dragon form is actually slightly smaller than his human form. It looks almost snake-like actually, and is covered with light green scales, though it has four somewhat small legs. The front legs seem almost like arms, ending with what aren't quite hands, three almost-fingers, tipped with small but extremely sharp claws, and one claw sticking out about where the wrist would be when compared to a human's. He can actually grab things with his front claws, but can't really work with them the same way as in human form, lacking thumbs. The back legs are similar, but he can't move their claws.
The emerald-green colored wings are extremely small, and don't actually appear like they would allow him to fly. In fact, the way he moves through the air would almost lead you to believe that he doesn't even use them at all, he almost seems to move in a similar way to a snake slithering, except through the air. Well, considering that the very nature of his having a dragon form at all would have to be magical, perhaps he flies as if magically as well.
He has several elemental breaths in dragon form. He can breathe fire, like a typical storybook dragon, he can breathe shards of ice out, or he can breathe a bolt of lightning out, or just send a blast of air with a roar. He also has a beam-like breath, where he charges up and then releases energy in a beam of bright white light. While charging up for this attack, his wings glow with a bright white light as well. They will also glow with bright light when he's casting his Aura spell, or different colors of light when he's casting other spells.
Eye of the Guardian
Drake can sense magical, divine, or demonic power. He can sense if something is possessed or somehow twisted by evil, and if that power recedes at all. He also has some minor ability of precgonition, able to sense if he or an ally is about to be ambushed, or a falling tree is about to hit them, or maybe even a lightning bolt. He can't sense each individual blow in a battle however.
------------------------
All of Drake's attacks, including his sword strikes and his claws in dragon form, strike directly at an opponent's life force, exhausting them, but it invariably stops before it kills them.
Strengths: Drake has considerable magical ability, as well as the physical ability of a skilled and experienced fighter, which goes well with his flexible fighting style. He also has some minor psychic abilities as well.
Weaknesses: His more powerful spells are difficult to use. They not only give plenty of opportunity to escape, other than Aura and Blood Pain, all of them other than Blades of Truth leave him vulnerable during casting. Aura can't be used at full effectiveness outside of melee range, and Blood Pain comes at a very steep price.
Drake has poor social skills. He's not good at getting words together, and he's often unsure of what to say in a given situation to be tactful, or indeed, even clear.
Drake simply cannot tolerate greed. Well, he can to a degree, but when someone starts scamming, stealing, or just plain not caring who they hurt when they pursue money or some similar thing, he becomes very angry. Same with self-importance. When people start putting on airs and acting like they're more important than other people, he becomes angry rather rapidly. It doesn't matter if the person doing so is his enemy, someone he doesn't know well yet, or even a friend. These things really get on his nerves.
Drake sometimes doesn't notice some of the most obvious things. He might very well overlook a gigantic glowing banner above a gigantic gate, that says "Evil monster behind here!" though something like that is rather unlikely. He is also a bit absent-minded sometimes in other ways, sometimes getting distracted when he isn't extremely focused on something. He doesn't reliably do this, and occasionally, he notices things other people don't, but at the same time, he frequently doesn't notice things other people do.
The price of his spell Blood Pain could very well be considered a rather glaring weakness in itself. After it has been cast, even once the pain fades, there is something else. You could call it a split personality basically. This spell uses demonic, chaotic power, which basically has a mind of its own. Drake will go through a mental battle to keep this monster from emerging, but if he fails, he will appear to have gone absolutely insane. He will regain control of himself eventually, but it may require him being beaten up until he can barely move, and the damage he can cause in the meantime is a major problem. This is the real reason he hates this spell so. Not the physical anguish it puts him through, but what it could do if he was possessed by this power.
Brief history:
Drake was originally from a world with no magic, the world we live in. His life was somewhat ordinary, if a bit chaotic with insane family members. One day however, something incredible happened that changed his life forever. The details are long, and a huge, incredible story in themselves. However, he was given power, and able to travel between different worlds and times to fight evil in all its forms. Eventually, he found a world he was unable to enter through normal means.
He continued doing what he had been doing. One day however, he felt something change. The world he had not been able to enter before was now open to him. He decided to try and see what he could find there. He concentrated, and tried entering this strange world. He suddenly found himself in front of a shrine, in what appeared to be... Japan? Hm. This was strange. He then realized something suddenly: Most of his power was gone. Now, he is stuck in a world he doesn't know anything about, without his friends.
