History: Shiro doesn't really remember much about his early life. Really though, his first memory was running through the woods, chased by a small crowd. Shiro didn't know why, and he couldn't care less. What he did know was his name, that he could read, and that he was a kitsune. As Shiro ran, he eventually blacked out alongside a river. Coming to slowly, his mind slowly began to fill in the blanks. His parents, the town burning because of... something, the 3 of them separating and promising to meet at... where?
Shiro didn't know just "where" was exactly, so he set out. As years passed, Shiro lost the hope of running into his parents. "It's a big world out there, I can't be everywhere at once" he once thought as he traveled. By this time, Shiro was about age 236. As he gave up hope of finding his parents, he began to channel his thoughts to other things. Seeing a juggler while traveling the, by demon standards I suppose, young Kitsune was vastly entertained.
By the end of the act, Shiro absolutely loved the thought of being like the performer. The sound of laughter and applause was enchanting to the kitsune, and Shiro wanted some for himself. Now, as Shiro traveled he began to try and copy the skills of the juggler he had seen. Years later at the age of 310, Shiro was a competent performer himself. Then, at age 350 Shiro saw some demon children perform a prank. Seeing the laughter it brought to those other than the one who was pranked, Shiro began to practice his pranking skills. Whether it was a surprise bucket of water, or putting a tack on someone's seat, Shiro practiced if possible.
At age 400 he was traveling and came upon a battle. Some bandits had waylayed a small group, and Shiro watched as the battle continued. As one of the members of the group used illusions and ice magic, Shiro was filled with awe. "Wow.. that's.. so much.. power" Shiro murmured during the scene. Filled with a desire to learn, he headed to one of the larger cities he had gone to before in his travels, and found what passed for a library. There, Shiro read books upon the subject of magic.
Finally, at 410, Shiro had learned how to cast the medium grade illusions that he uses so frequently now. He had also learned much about his heritage, that is, he had learned much more of the kitsune. It was a few days after one of his practices that he first practiced changing, after willing himself to switch to a human form, and failing, he went to bed frustrated. Before he went to bed, he mused about his possible appearance as a human. By the time he woke up, he had changed.
Shiro was now rather happy with how things were. He was able to become a human after some time (practice would allow the change to be quicker), and he could cast medium level illusions. However, he still remembered the ice magic that he had seen that one time, the frozen bursts of power archived within his mind. While he had experimented with his frost fire, he had found he had little taste for the burning flames. So, Shiro went back to practicing.
By the age of 450 he was quite well known in the city. Both for his juggling, which he did in order to have a source of income, as well as his pranks, which brought him accolades from the children within the walls of the city. Shiro's ability to form high level illusions wasn't flawless, but he was getting there, thought it took many, many hours to even start the process. His ice magic, however, was doing well. He could form ice, though somewhat shakily, and after concentrating for several moments, he was able to make the ice grow.
After many years of training within the city, Shiro packed up and bid farewell. Shiro now spent most of his time within his human form, though he was still short as always. It seemed that while others grew as time went past, Shiro's body was determined to keep him a midget. His childish appearance, combined with his facial features made many mistake him for a child as he traveled. Shiro dealt with it, and took it with good stride, eventually turning it to his advantage.
You see, Shiro had quite the sweet tooth. So, using the innocent puppy dog eyes of doom (TM xD), he abused his childish looks in order to get candy. He also had quite the wanderlust, traveling the realms in order to see as much as possible, and to sate his curious nature. However, Shiro was aware of one thing. If his Ice and Illusions failed, he had nothing. He was good at juggling, and did in fact carry a set of daggers used for juggling with him.
So, Shiro began to practice with the blades. He would juggle them, before practicing throwing them at trees, logs, or stumps. Over time, he became quite good at it, able to hit a mark with decent precision. But that had taken a lot of time. So much time, when Shiro realized how long he'd gone without amusing either himself or others, he took a break. For several years, Shiro did nothing but travel and juggle, pranking when possible.
However, by his 659th year of life, he had begun to experiment in close combat. He found a city with a public training yard, and managed to beg combat lessons (yes using the puppy dog eyes of doom TM). Practicing day after day, he saw his skill improving. After a time, he was able to knife fight quite proficiently. Thanking the instructor for the years of time, and paying him, to Shiro's monetary regret, Shiro left. Thus is Shiro's current state, a wanderer, traveler, prankster, and quasi-magician.

Abilities and Fighting Style:
- Magical Abilities:

Knife Rain- Shiro casts an illusion of a storm of knives being thrown at someone by him at an incredible speed. Usually, he will indeed mix in real knives among the illusion.
Fox Frost- Conjures an illusion of snow rushing towards the target. Mixes in his fox fire with the illusion. Relatively weak due to his preference towards illusions and ice, rather than towards the fire itself.
Flash Freeze- Used to trick the target's mind into thinking the target is intensely cold.
Shard Storm- Causes ice shards to form and shatter, causing ice shrapnel to fly out. (It's small ice shrapnel, nothing huge)
Icy Veins- Slows down a target's blood flow and reactions.
- Shiro is able to use both ice, as well as illusions. His natural fox fire is somewhat low.
- Physical abilities:
- Shiro is trained in both melee and ranged in so far as knife fighting.
- Weapons:
- Shiro is trained to use long, thin knives. The knives are about halfway between an average knife and a shortsword in height, and are designed for easy use for either being thrown or close combat.
- Fighting style:Shiro usually draws two knives at once. From there, he puts one into a guard position, and the other into an attack position. If Shiro is ambushing a person, then he usually conjures up an illusion to distract them if possible, if they're successfully distracted, he throws knives. Shiro's style focuses on speed and maneuverability. Shiro attacks primarily by stabbing or slashing quickly, and his defense consists of mainly dodging. Shiro's not above using a cheap shot during a fight, kneeing men in the groin, or making a woman less than modest by cutting their clothing. Shiro has the ability to make use of ice magic, though it contrasts with the fire of his kitsune abilities. However, rather than focus on his natural element, he uses his Ice because, to him, it's more useful. As far as using his ice goes, Shiro will use it to try and help freeze an opponent's limbs, or slow their reactions by slightly freezing their blood in order to make it flow slower.
