((Finally got around to making this...))
----
Name: Takushin "Taku" Shirasagi
Nicknames/Titles: "Taku" or "Nin-Inaba"
Age: 1,000 at the least
Age Appearance: 15 years
Race: Rabbit Youkai
Gender: Male
Appearance
- Head/hair Ornament: Dons fluffy rabbit ears that are white in color. Similar to most other earth rabbits.
- Hair colour: Dark Brown, some would say borderlining black even.
- Hairstyle: Short and wavy, but looks to be greasy as well.
- Eye colour: Crimson
- Clothing: Wears a grey shirt with red lining on the bottom and at the end of the sleeves. Pants are of a matching color and bear the same lining, albeit, they are located at the end of each pant leg. This is infact a male variation of the standard dresses worn by most of the Eientei rabbits (which are basically in the same design as Tewi's).
- Other: Has a white cotton tail. Dons a purple scarf adorned with circle like patters.
Personality: Takushin's a rather docile rabbit that doesn't mind helping others if they need it and will do what is told of him. Takushin takes alot of pride in his unique (some would say crazy) decision to follow the ways of the shinobi and become the first only 'Ninja Rabbit' of Eientei. That said, Takushin is usually seen as a bit of an oddball, the one who is always so different from everyone else yet tries to be friends with those he meets despite them seeing him as the odd one out. To be honest, Takushin likes being regarded as 'different', for it makes him feel unique and special in what he does, especially when he actually uses his special skills to help someone out.
However, Takushin is a bit of a klutz and is catastrophically accident prone, which results in most of his exploits failing or blowing up in his face in the most unexpected ways. Despite this though, Takushin doesn't give up in his endeavors and continues to work from his mistake usually taking the time to find out what went wrong and how he can fix it. Although this doesn't always prevent him from messing up at what he does...
Having been raised in a close knit family, Takushin takes great value in the lives of himself and others and treats many of his fellow rabbits at Eientei as if they were his own blood kin. That said he holds Tewi in his highest respects and does whatever she tells of him to do...even though she may never really rely on him per se. However, this still makes it all the more exciting to him when she actually does need him for something, to which he'll treat the task as if it were a ninja's mission to further feed his self image of being a 'Ninja Rabbit'. Reisen, while not held as high in respects as Tewi, he finds interesting if solely for the fact that he's never known rabbits to exist on the moon before. Nevertheless, since she's a rabbit (technically) she's okay in his book~
Eirin and Kaguya however, are people whom Takushin is a little uneasy about. Sure, he still regards the two as his superiors, especially since they are (supposedly) above Tewi, his commander, but since he was told they were from the Moon, there's a small tinge of distrust in him that believes that they don't actually value the lives of the many rabbits that live at Eientei alongside them (Moreso with Eirin being it's rumored she's used some of the rabbits as guinea pigs involving her many shady drugs). He doesn't actually tell them this of course and simply treats them like his superior but he seems to keep his distance from them whenever he gets the chance to...
Mokou is someone he cannot come to like no matter what the circumstance. Not because the mistress of the house dislikes her/constantly fights her, but because she is a threat to the lives of his fellow rabbits and thus, he natrually sees her as an enemy. The same can be said about anyone else who appears to be a danger to his fellow lapine friends.
Takushin will NOT stand for being mistaken for a girl, even if it's unintentional.
Likes: Carrots (obviously), his fellow rabbits, making new things, practicing ninjutsu
Dislikes: Loud Noises, those who hurt his fellow rabbits, Mokou, Spicy foods, being mistaken for a female...
Greatest Fear: To witness the death of someone close to him.
Ambitions/Desires: To actually become a successful 'Ninja Rabbit'...considering how much he fails at this, this is a big thing for him. Also to lead his own squad of rabbits, currently he's low ranked among them only regarded as slightly powerful because he can use spellcards.
Weapons: Because he doesn't have the standard tools used by most Ninja, he simply uses kitchen knives and forks in the place of shuriken and kunai. While unweilding to some...Takushin seems to make them work in combat fairly well...somehow.
Abilities and Fighting Style:
Manipulation of Speed - This ability allows Takushin to freely manipulate the speed at which something moves, including himself. Takushin often uses this ability on himself to grant him supersonic speed which can come in handy in a number of situations, namely that of getting from point A to point B. However it can be used on broader horizons namely on other people or objects in motion. Although he is capable of using this power to it's fullest, Takushin is simply happy with running at supersonic speeds...with a vast bamboo forest to run through wouldn't you like to run freely at 200+ mph?
However, what really seems to make Takushin unique compared to other rabbits is the fact that he combines Danmaku with Ninjutsu...or at least tries to anyway, he's not exactly good at it mind you. However, he does seem to have a good grasp on the basics of being a ninja, namely that of stealth. Takushin has about 4 spellcards on him (as listed below) and a few other tricks under his sleeve as well:
[Fire Jutsu] - "Vanishing Volcano Rabbit": A rather basic card, Takushin disappears in a cloud of fire which sends out a burst of flame-laden danmaku in it's wake. It's not exactly offensive as opposed to his next few, but it makes for a good means of retreat if Takushin ever needs it. Note Takushin's power to run at super speed...
[Fire Jutsu] - "Breathe of Kagutsuchi": Another basic card, Takushin takes in a deep breath and then lets out a barrage of flame danmaku to the opponent. However this card's power can be increased if Takushin ingests an outside fuel. If Takushin eats or dirnks something spicy before he executes this attack, then it's power wil be doubled. However, Takushin isn't really used to spicy things and if he ingests something that's a little too much for him then he'll usually lose control of his own spellcard and run around screaming in a heated pain...
[Clone Jutsu] - "Usagikage Bushin Technique": Takushin materializes 5 identical copies of himself that help in assaulting the opponent with a barrage of danmaku ranging from small bullets to lasers. This is a bit of a mix between offensive and defensive, being it can cause alot of damage to a single foe it also can disorient and confuse them with copies. However, if any of the clones are hit, or if Takushin himself is hit, then all of the clones will disappear.
[Thunder Jutsu] - "Mighty Roar of Byakko": Takushin's most powerful spellcard yet. Takushin focues power in his palms and fires forth a thick laser of electrified energy, smaller lightning based bullets are also discharged during the attack. This spellcard has alot of strengths to it besides that of it's high power, however it's slow to charge and requires Takushin to recharge for about 5 minutes in order for him to execute the attack again. However, The real drawback comes from the power output, being this can actually harm Takushin. If the power released is too high then Takushin runs a high risk of shocking himself which can actually TKO him if the shock itself is powerful enough.
- Vanishing Jutsu: Disappearing Rabbit out of the Hat Technique: Despite it's long name (which is unneassacary), this 'attack' is basically Takushin covering himself with a cloak that blends in with the surroundings around him. He has a wide assortment of cloaks and capes that are designed to hide himself when he holds it in front of his body. Too bad that doesn't help being the cloaks are usually painted with rather crude drawings of the backgrounds they're supposed to emulate (Note: Takushin can't draw for squat). So in truth this is only good for throwing the cloak over the opponent so Takushin can run...how cheap >_>
- Zero Dimension Blade: Misleading, name is misleading. This has nothing to do with dimensions or the like, it's simply Takushin slicing at the air, sending forth a cutting wave of danmaku toward's the opposition. It is, fast and alot of those 'waves' can be released at once making for a surprisingly persistant attack.
- Seiryuu Death Fist: Terror inducing name...not so terror inducing attack, Takushin just gives the opponent a low blow and runs away while they're on the ground writhing in pain. It IS regarded as being quite painful if you want to act in this attack's defense.
Strengths: Being a rabbit, Taku is natrually agile and swift, his speed allowing him to weave past bigger opponents with relative ease. His exceptional skills in knife usage is also something to take note of, especially since when using a single knife can make what was once a klutzy, wannabe-ninja rabbit become a serious threat to those who won't be expecting such a drastic change. While not very powerful, Taku's ability allows him to run at speeds thrice that of his normal running speed which only makes for keeping up with him far more difficult.
Weaknesses: While fast and stealthy, Taku isn't very tough and will usually go down for the count after several hits, provided their powerful enough. Taku is at a horrible disadvantage when put up against someone bigger than him, with little attack strength, an ability only useful for escape, and average danmaku skills, Taku just isn't equipped to deal with heavier set opponents who can easily overcome all three of those listed factors. One must not forget his horrible curse of failing at being a ninja...
History: An earth rabbit that was born and raised in the Bamboo Forest to a family of youkai rabbits and was the 2nd oldest out of 5 other young rabbits. While his family wasn't exactly that high up in terms of having money, they did however have alot of value in each other to the point where it didn't matter if you were dirt poor, so long as you had someone to stick by you then it was going to be alright. Needless to say, Takushin took to this like a sponge to water and came to love his family more than anything else.
However as he grew older and thus slowly began to grow out of his naivity, he saw that the world of Gensokyo was full of dangerous people that could easily kill him and his family off with no effort at all. While others reassured him that nothing was wrong and that everything was going to be fine, Takushin still found himself to be worried for the well-being of his loved ones and thus ventured out one night to find help...help that could make him strong enough to combat these threats posed to him and his family.
This would take about a week or so before he stumbled across, a rather lazy, bear youkai who claimed to be a renowned fist fighter. While skeptical of this bear's claims, Takushin recalled that he had found no one else to help him in his needs so he simply agreed with the youkai and began 'training' under him...
Basically, Takushin's 'training' was little more than doing the bear youkai's household chores, which proved to be rather tedious at best. However, during this time Takushin awakened to his power to manipulate speed, something he desperately needed in order to finish the chores that bored him so much. Impressed with his speed, the bear rewarded Takushin with several things, a mysterious scroll he had found one day, and words that told of Ninjas. Fascinated and excited about this, Takushin gave the bear his thanks and left for home so he could train himself in these mysterious arts and show his faimly how strong he had become.
Unfortunately, Takushin had underestimated the bamboo forest's infamous reputation and he soon found himself to be hopelessly lost in a matter of minutes. The further Takushin went the more lost he became, however he knew he couldn't just stay put otherwise he could fall prey to some nocturnal youkai, which were some of the worst to encounter really. As he continued onward, now growing tired and hungry from having wandered most of the day, he saw the visage of a group of female rabbits running somewhere. Mistaking this for his family, Takushin followed closely behind them, hoping to see his family again...however where these rabbits led him toward wasn't his home...but an immense mansion. A mansion Takushin gawked at for a good 3 minutes before snapping himself back to reality.
Knowing this obviously wasn't his home, Takushin wanted to head back into the wilderness and search for his real home, but in the back of his mind...he knew that if he had not have arrived here...he, more than likely, would have remained in those woods, a place that, by night fall, wasn't the best of places to be. So, with night swiftly approaching...Takushin entered the mansion alongside the rabbits and attempted to blend in with them and hopefully not alarm them...which was harder than it sounded given him being a male rabbit which seemed to be rarity in the house of Eientei (as it was called). Some of the rabbits raised a commotion about an intruder in the house, others ran to get the head honcho, but all in all it appeared that Takushin wasn't welcome here...
As the rabbits prepared to chase him off the land Tewi appeared before Takushin asking why he's come here, he told her the story of how he became lost in the woods on his way home and needed a place to stay for awhile. After a bit of discussion amongst themselves Tewi had the rabbits take him to the bigwigs of Eientei, namely Eirin and Kaguya. Knowing the two of them were high up in rank (intution told him as such because they were mentioned during the discussion earlier), Takushin told them the same story that the he told the rabbits. Although, there was fair amount of rabbits at Eientei now, there was still an aura of interest in one that was essentially an able bodied male youkai. With this in mind, the two agreed to take him in for awhile on the condition that he pull his own weight around the house.
Grateful for their decision, Takushin accepted their terms and promised to do whatever he could to prove his worth. At that point he was placed within the ranks of Tewi's army of Earth Rabbits and was tasked with doing most of the house hold chores around Eientei and scoutinh the vast bamboo forest alongside a squadran of rabbits. During this time, he also began studying the scroll that old bear youkai gave him and learned that it contained various things on Ninjutsu. Intruigued by this, Takushin continued to study it and overtime even started practicing it on his own. So far he's learned some of the basic techniques of the common Ninja and has even integrated it into danmaku making for a unique combination in combat style. However, he still has a ways to go, but he's willing to go that extra mile if it means helping his fellow rabbits.
Currently it seems, Takushin has all but integrated with Eientei's population of rabbits, and while he still misses his family, he'll stay here at Eientei since he sees that those who live here are like his "new family". Perhaps in the near future he'll find his old family again...but for now, he'll stay at Eientei...just a little while longer.
Fun Fact(s)
-Shirasagi means "white rabbit"
-Ninja's may actually exist in Gensokyo, as Hieda no Akyuu stated in her writings, there could be a group of youkai exterminating ninjas in the Bamboo Forest. Although with Akyuu being Akyuu this is more of a really big IF than anything else.
-The bear youkai's scroll could be proof of ninjas...who can say?
-It is actually rather hard to find Takushin, being he's always in the most secret of places, training himself in the ninja arts. If one does happen to find him then he'll chew them out for interrupting him and flee the aera to find a better hiding spot.
-Takushin's grey shirt was supposed to be black, being he was trying to dye it that color but instead he left it in the washer too long and it faded...
--------
((I'm a little iffy on the history being I had no other way to integrate him into Eientei without messing things up, hopefully what's currently listed is okay. If not lemme know and I'll fix it accordingly.))
