Abilities and Fighting Style:
History: Aral is a youkai. A youkai born to two very intelligent parents. He isn't really sure what type of youkai he is, really, only that both he and his parents all looked quite feminine, yes, even his father. They could be considered upper class, had they been living outside of Gensokyo. At a very young age, Aral had begun studying magic under the tutelage of his parents. While at first he specialized in fire and wind, he eventually found his home in lightning, earth, and gravity.
Lightning... that is a rather mundane tale. When he was but a small child, he would often be afraid of the horrendous noise of thunder... yet be unable to tear his gaze from the bright flash of lightning. As he grew older and overcame his fear, he began to gradually study lightning magic. While at first he hadn't intended to replace fire or wind, eventually he found his use of fire slowly waning with the advent of electricity kept within the jolting streaks of lightning magic.
Earth... Earth was that what overtook wind. One day, while walking about his home, he looked at the various metals used. Their properties, their texture, their usage... he researched them all. The reason, boredom, really... though in the end he was quite thankful for such a spur of the moment choice. He saw dull iron, glossy brass, bright silver. Also, while sifting through his mother's jewelry he saw glimmering amber, mirror-like obsidian, and shining crystals.
These magnificent specimens prompted him to study earth magic. And as he did so, he realized the potential of its defensive properties. The ability to conjure up a wall of stone, or other such things being the original thought. As he studied earth magic, he eventually had yet another stroke of thought.
Combining it with his electricity. He knew of magnets, of such things as electromagnetic energy. He knew of polarities, of things such as that. So, he began to test his magic. He started small, indeed, without all his practice he would be stuck at conjuring a thumb-sized bit of magnetic stone. But after many tries, he eventually was able to learn his current magicks.
Gravity was a... rather interesting magic for him to become interested in. As you can no doubt tell by now, Aral was often alone as a child. His parents would drop in now and then, but usually were off making a living... though he had no idea what they were doing. At any rate, gravity was a magic he learned as he enacted his first revenge.
Oh, yes, Aral was rather vengeful. While generally pleasant, some people ticked him off beyond belief. His interest in gravity magic, though, could not have been sparked without this. He tricked a boy who had taunted him into climbing a tree. Once they reached a sufficiently high branch, Aral used Neuroshock upon the boy, then pushed him. This served to make him both too dazed to remember what actually happened, as well as cause him suffering.
Aral quite enjoyed the sight of his tormentor falling down, the impact as the other boy hitting the ground causing a smile to grace his features when he thought about it. It also made him think of that force that had brought him down, gravity. Enough so that Aral began to study it. He eventually got the hang of it... through much trial and error.
Once he hit his 380th year of life, he left to travel. To travel and conquer, actually. For, he had decided that in order to bring about a realm without those who would dare spike his ire, he must rule. Perhaps he is evil, most likely not, actually. However, as he travels, beware of getting on his bad side, lest you wind up quite harshly... dealt with.

Abilities and Fighting Style:
- Magical Abilities:
- Aral has the ability to use the magics of gravity, earth and electricity.
- Gravity Chaos- Gray colored spheres rise out of the ground, before flying at a target. Upon impact, they explode, for each one that hits, the target is covered by a gray light for 20 seconds (The time stacks, 1 sphere= 20, 2 spheres= 40, etc..), while covered by this light (which signifies increased gravity) existing weight increases, going up to 50% more than their original weight. The explosions the spheres create cause a heavy knockback effect, though no actual damage in itself. The more spheres he makes, the more power this takes. Average without using extra power is 4-5 spheres. 1 Sphere= 8% increase in gravity. The increased gravity either disables or weakens the flight ability of someone hit.
Magnetic Field- Four spires of magnetic rock thrust out of the ground, forming a loose square around the target. Inside the square formed by the spires, those wearing metal feel as though they are being tugged by a decently strong person in the direction of the four corners created by the spires. Small metal objects not securely strapped down or gripped may fly out towards one of the spheres. There is a slight range of magnetic attraction ranging several feet from the spires.
Neuroshock- A lightning bolt shoots out from Aral's palm towards the foe, upon impact the electrical currents within the target's body become disrupted, leaving them disoriented and dazed. This makes concentration, balance, and speech difficult.
Polarity Field- An electromagnetic sphere generates, the radius being about 3.5-5 feet. Upon creation, most of the sphere is a dark grey color, though there are 4 lines In a cross-like shape over the center (these lines extend across the entire sphere)that are a light gray. The dark grey signifies parts of the sphere which are filled with hundreds of tiny metal shards, while the light gray denotes a normal electromagnetic field. The sphere constantly rotates, causing the positions of these patches to keep moving. The metal shards interfere with anything attempting to penetrate through them, metal objects usual being deflected or blocked, magical means being deflected, weakened, or shooting through for max power depending on the type (Wind would be reduced due to the metal acting as a buffer, for instance). Blows with unshielded limbs upon the sharded parts will yield bloodied results, from small scratches from each shard, though the force will be unreduced. The field also causes a slight deflective chance with non-metal objects. Those attempting to pass through will feel as though they're pressing against a wall, though due to the fact that the sphere rotates constantly, one would have to penetrate it quite fast in order not to be cut up should one of the iron-sharded areas come around.
- Aral has the ability to use the magics of gravity, earth and electricity.
- Physical abilities:
- Aral is proficient with the use of the halberd. He's also fairly acrobatic, flexible, and nimble.
- Weapons:
- Aral has a medium sized halberd, in the color of black. The axe blade, though, it colored a deep midnight blue. Emblazoned upon the axeblade of his halberd is his crest, of which the description can be seen under appearance.
- Fighting style: Aral prefers to engage people with his magic. As he is absolutely horrid once he is unable to utilize either magic or weapon, due to not having sufficient defense (Leather and silk does not a shield make, after all). Should his magic fail, he will engage with halberd.
His strikes are quick, sharp jabs usually. He will seldom use the axe part of his halberd, as he is usually moving. He will often attempt to utilize his defensive magic, in so far as attacks against him go. Should he be backed into a corner, he will utilize his halberd as a long-axe, making wide, powerful sweeps with the axe blade. - Strengths
