[Genshuku]

(Rika: Trouble...without me? Oh, heck with that. If anyone is going to cause any problems, it's against someone who can stand a chance, AND me...oh, one of them is a robot. Well, that doesn't change anything.)

The scout was slightly annoyed at Zi's dodging, but even more so at the little raccoon trying to make itself look like a threat. Though the glow was noticeable, she still didn't take her seriously. But to get that part out of the way, she threw one at Sarah...

...Only for it to be intercepted by a laser, knocking the ball back at the scout and hitting her square in the head, where it traps her in the electrical net. She would have panicked, but she was busy being unconscious. And in came Rika, in her flower tank.

Rika then poked her head out of the tank, to take a look around, but without speaking. After all, Reimu could be in there somewhere...though she wasn't, Rika had a grudge against the miko...but, she wasn't there.

Zi was about to get in the way of the ball for Sarah, but, the interception happened before her burst of speed, and that very interception had surprised her. So she simply was surprised. As would anyone else that saw a laser come from some bushes.

(Ozma: Lost contact with the scout...)
(Kaosu: At least the other force isn't ta--)
(Ozma: Shut up.)
(Kaosu: ...fine. Meanie.)
(Ozma: The reason for the lost contact is unknown, but I'll bet that someone is interfering...AGAIN...)
(Kaosu: Mech and soldiers can take care of it.)
(Ozma: You realize every time you say that, it doesn't happen, right?)
(Kaosu: ...Why, are you so smart. Tell me.)
(Ozma: I just watch TV. Happens all the time. All of it.)
(Kaosu: Your kidding.)
(Ozma: Nope. 'Bad' people are always given the short end of the stick.)
(Kaosu: But...all the other places...)
(Ozma: One would look at those as background information. In the end, this is probably going to be the last place...)
(Kaosu: But wouldn't they, ya know, always win?)
(Ozma: Wouldn't matter in your case. Besides, they could get a downer ending.)
(Kaosu: A what?)
(Ozma: Never mind...)

[Little Sarah]

Sarah Flinched and squeezed her eyes shut when the ball was thrown at her, her ears back some, but when it didn't hit against her she opened her large eyes up to see what had happened.

She looked up at Zi, then looked over at where the scout was knocked out and under the net, then back at Zi again. She didn't see the Laser that was fired that had deflected the ball away from her. Her ears twitched back a little bit "w..what happened?" she asked, a little confused. She still stood very close to Zi. despite her trying to act like she was tough and strong earlier..she was still a cowardly little runt.

Her nose twitched again, and th e little raccoon looked in the direction that the tank was in, scampering toward it a bit and reaching her little hand tough the bushes to see what was there.

As soon as Rika poked her head out however. Sarah let out a loud yelp of surprise and ran right back to Zi and hid behind her, ears twitching back some. But she blinked and looked from behind zi "H..Hello.." she squeaked again "W..Were...were you the one..t..that helped..."

Zi had regained her mind after that happened: this person was obviously a good one for helping Zi and Sarah out. Though this was mostly not true, it was the best possible assumption. When Sarah asked what had happened, Zi attempted to reply:

"ZiZi Zi zi zi..zi...."

Right. That problem. Zi became slightly agitated at her own language problem.

Rika saw the raccoon hide behind Zi when she popped her head out, and this made her smile a bit. Not that she did something good, but rather her ego was being fed somewhat. In any case, answering her question seemed like the best thing to do, so why not?

"Indeed I am the one that helped you and the one-worded one out, can't have someone like that picking on you two now can I~"

Well, for what she was, she tends to follow little rules, one being: No picking on the weak and small.

[Little Sarah]

Sarah's ears flicked up "Oh yeah...s..sorry Zi, I keep forgetting" she squeaked quietly. Her eyes looked over at the weird net again, the one that was thrown that had no one in it and shuddered a little bit. She didn't want to be caught under that, and she didn't want Zi to be caught under one of them either.

She then looked over at the tank and Rika. Her fluffy tail seemed to twitch a little bit. She bowed her head some in a respectful way "w..Well thank you t..then ma'am..." she said sweetly, hugging onto Usagi in a more relaxed way, but was still clinging the little stuffed animal.

She squeaked again "O..Oh yeah...." her ears went up again" M...My names Sarah... I..I thought it would be good to tell you my name..i..its only nice ,s..since you s..saved us.." her tail twitched up happily.

Zi nods to what Sarah said, everyone forgets after all, even her at times. Even if she is an extremely humanoid robot. She too looked at the net, and somehow knew that is was meant for energy draining.

Rika heard the thank you, and responded with a "Your welcome~" (and getting some more ego, she was like that) and smiled a bit. Ah the joys of the young...so long ago...oh wait, she wasn't that old. (Right? She hoped so...)

Sarah then introduced herself, and with her, Zi bowed at Rika saying: "Zi." as it was the only thing she could, and it seemed fitting enough.

Rika then of course did the same, as not doing so would be bad taste: "And my name is Rika, one of the only mechanics in Gensokyo~"

Rika then recalled the net (not looking at the other one) and though for a moment. "Though, not the only one...something tells me they are going to be more persistant with you two. I just have that feeling..."

Her feeling will probably be correct shortly. Uneasiness litters the air.

[Little Sarah]

Sarah smiled some, her tail wagged a bit more" well its very nice to meet you miss Rika" she bowed again in a kind way, then looked at the stuffed rabbit in her arms and giggled, holding him out" Oh, and this is Usagi! heh I cant forget to introduce him" she hugged the rabbit toy against her again, she spoke as if the stuffed toy was living.

She was hugging the rabbit, though one of her arms still seemed to be shaking. It had still been bleeding, and for some reason the stress and her causing those explosions had made it a little worse, she didn't really seem to notice it till now and winced a little bit, placing her other tiny hand on the injured spot. then lifting it up, her hand had red on it, it bleed though her little sweater. She whimpered slightly" I..It started bleeding again.." she said softly.

"b...by the way..h..have..have either of you s..seen another raccoon boy..h..he's allot taller and bigger then me..a..and he wears a black outfit w..with green and red t..trimming on it..a..And his hairs the same color as mine..b..but spiky..a...and he carries a big sword?" she seemed to really want to find this person, she was trembling some. " I..Its my big brother..I..I haven't been able to find him..a..and I...I'm worried..a..about him...T...Though he is really really strong..." She whimpered.

Her ears perked up and she looked over at Rika, then back over at the net, shuddering again. She whimpered a little more and clung to Zi's leg a little bit. "w..why?" she asked" why was that person trying to catch Zi..a...and me..I..I don't understand real well..." her necklace was still glowing lightly, though it had toned down since the danger wasn't obvious anymore. Her ears twitched back a bit more.

It was odd, how the girl spoke for the stuffed rabbit. But, she wasn't in a mood where she would comment on how silly that sounded, so she didn't comment on that, instead nodding pleasantly to the rabbit.

When Sarah had noticed the bleeding, Zi felt sorry for the girl. After all, how did she get that in the first place? She would have helped at that very second, but she started talking about what was said to be her big brother. Zi, not having met anyone, remembered everything she saw, as there was enough room in her memory to do so. So, she nodded a no, because she knew how to communicate that.

Rika had not seen him either, but knew that she could easily find him if she scouted the area with her Evil Eye Sigma (which, was back home of course...) so she said: "No, but I could help you look for him if you want. I've got something like this, but I could use it to search from the sky."

Sarah then clung to Zi's leg, and one could notice the lack of thermal temperature when she did so. Zi knew full well why they wanted to catch herself, as she was recently being used as a portable BATTERY. She gave out a small sigh at that though, relieved that that particular moment of her life was over but worried it could happen again. And why they wanted her...well, it was probably however she caused the explosion that intrigued them. Though, she could not get that bit out, as she lacked the vocabulary.

Rika didn't see enough to really get it, but noticed the glowing necklace. Well, that made this simple to say: "It was probably has something to do with that necklace...Though the other one could be anyone's guess."

Zi decided while Sarah was clinging onto her leg (she felt all warm and fuzzy inside too~) that she would do a small energy transfer, in order to stop the bleeding for a while. Though it wasn't really traceable back to her, one would simply just know as thee bleeding would almost stop right away, something completely unnatural.

Sarah's ears twitched down "O..Oh.. " she hugged her toy tighter" w..well I didn't expect anyone to see him really..h..he doesn't go near people too much..h..he normally stays pretty much to himself..h..he just dosn't trust people anymore a..after what happened..."

She listened to Rika's comment, and it made the little girls ears go up again "r..really?!" Y..you could really help me find him?" she asked, tail wagging quickly. "I..I sure hope he hasn't gotten himself into trouble..b.big brother has a temper..a..atleast with strangers anyway...h..he fights allot..b.but hes not a mean person..hes just..a little aggressive..."

Sarah did notice that Zi didn't seem warm like most beings would be, but the little raccoon didn't seem to care about that. She had the feeling Zi wasn't human from the beginning, she lacked the scent that humans had. She smiled up at Zi again. Sarah hadn't asked exactly what she was, one, because she knew Zi could not answer her, and two, the little raccoon thought it would be rude to ask.

She touched her necklace as soon as Rika had said something about it "M..My necklace?..." the little girl thought about it a moment and sat in the grass "w..well my mama had given it to me..she had found it..b..but when she put it on me.. for some reason I haven't been able to take it off..l..literally...i..it wont come off of me.." she took her hand off of it" not that I mind really..I..I like the necklace a whole lot..B..big brother wont explain to me why it glows when I'm scared though..o..or when I'm scared I make things go boom..He told me I wouldn't be able to understand it.."

She didn't notice right away when her arm stopped bleeding, she was too bust trying to think things out. Her ears twitched back in concentration.

At the first thing Sarah said, Rika began to wonder how long it would take to find this person. After all, keeping away from people means that...well hello, he would be in a place not much people would frequent. That actually narrows it down. It got better(?) when she said that he was aggressive, therefore...

...Rika shuddered at the weirdest though she think she has ever had. Evil Eye Sigma with a raccoon tail...no, just no. Something else...no, just look for him. She would not be dressing Sigma in a tanooki suit anytime soon. As much attention as that would attract, most of it will be unwanted.

She then mentioned stuff about her necklace. What she heard far better than the rest was 'boom'. Well, that explained the explosion, and why they were interested.

Which they showed once again, the 50 (so very easily one-hit beatable) faeries called from earlier had finally arrived on the scene (the mech attempted to keep up and failed, though that might be arriving too). All of them were dressed in the same thing the other one was, but it was far less fancy, and instead of throwing the balls that the other one did, they simply shot weak blasts in large amounts. And yes, they did all that upon revealing themselves (having the scent blocking technology and being stealthy enough to avoid detection)

Rika knew that even if she could beat the little things, if those two didn't get either away from here or in the tank (and then away from here) or something else out of the blue then someone was going to be hurt. Zi knew it as soon as she did, and the surprise factor of the attack made her take action, carrying Sarah to the tank at a speed comparable to a sprinting wolf (aka 'fast') and jumping in. No words were needed, none were given. Talk can come later. Now would be a wise time to leave the area.

Of course if she failed (which was a hard thing to do, Sarah couldn't have actually held her ground after being picked up, she can't be heavy, ect) then she would get caught in the blasts or see that something else happened that moved her to safety and get in the tank on her own.

(This is my attempt to move someone else without actually god-modding it. >.>)

Sarah let out a yelp as soon as she was picked up by Zi, her ears strait back some, she had just been surprised is all, and managed to keep herself from causing an explosion. She whimpered and clung onto Zi. Her little head nuzzled into her. She was just scared was all. she always seemed to cling to people when she was scared. infact, she was thinking goodness that Zi had actually picked her up and moved her out of the way and they were both now in the tank.

"T...Thank..Thank you Zi..." she squeaked hugging what she thought was her stuffed bunny again, but she squeaked loudly "..w..wait.." she looked down to what was supposed to be her bunny, and she was hugging onto her tail, she had accidentally dropped the stuffed toy when Zi picked her up suddenly.

"U... USAGI!!!" she cried out and scrambled away from Zi and jumped climbing out of the tank.

It was odd, she didn't even seem frightened of the Faeries anymore. She just seemed to want to get the stuffed toy.

She climbed out of the tank, going down to the ground and ran, grabbing the stuffed bunny where she had dropped it and hugged onto it, crying "I..I'm sorry Usagi.. I..I didn't mean to drop you" she apologized to the rabbit toy. The glow from her little chest was slightly stronger now, the last thing the child wanted to do was leave that toy. She clung to the toy rabbit this time. for dear life not to let it go. She let out a little growl at the faeries then turned toward the tank and tried to run back to it.

Why was that little thing so important to her anyway?

Zi noticed that Sarah had left the tank in a hurry, mentioning the rabbit's name and hurrying off again, to grab the rabbit. The faeries noticed this, and started to aim at her, though as they were very bad shots, they all had missed her. But when she ran back, they got more accurate, and almost got her...

The tank opened fire at the faeries, blasting them before they could get the good shot. Because letting her die or get badly injured was a very big no no.

Zi had jumped out of the tank as well, in order to get Sarah back in (It was slightly harder to climb on the outside (unless you climbed in from the back and used the leaves) and quickly carried her back in, making sure she didn't drop the doll (and if she did, she would pick it up herself). When back in, which she should have been, she would give an exhausted "Zi..." due to having to get her twice.

The faeries were almost halved in number thanks to their horrible formation, so Rika said: "With all that out of the way, let's get these things out of here...with force~"

(Mecha Pilot: I told them to slow down, but NOOOOOO...)

[Little Sarah]

Sarah hugged the stuffed bunny tighter and nuzzled it some. She still seemed to be crying a little bit. She would of been devastated if she would of left that bunny toy laying there "I..I'm sorry Usagi.." she repeated and sniffled some.

She then looked up at Zi, her ears strait back against her head. She looked down sadly "I...I'm sorry Zi...I...I didn't mean for you to have t.to come get me again....I..Its just I..I cant... I cant leave Usagi b..behind." she hugged the toy tighter "I..I cant leave him.." she looked at the tattered old stuffed rabbit, looking at the one button eye that was missing.

"I..I..W..WEll you see..." she was trying to explain. but stopped with her ears back. She felt bad for having run back out to get the toy. She looked at over at Rika as the faeries were being shot at, her ears still back against her head and her tail dragging across the ground some. She nuzzled the bunny again.

"I...I'm just sorry I had to run out to get Usagi...." she said then sat down in the tank looking at the floor.

Zi understood how she felt, though she couldn't have her own example at the ready. Rika did too (she didn't even make a new Evil Eye Sigma when she lost it, she spent weeks looking for it instead) but really though it was weird for a stuffed animal. She decided to ask exactly why she liked it so much in the first place, as she was blasting the unfortunate faeries into bits. Some even started to run away.

"So *blast* why do you like *blast* that thing so *blast* much? Just *blast* curious. If you don't mind *blast* me asking, anyway."

Zi wondered as well, but didn't say anything as the question had already been asked.

Most of the faeries were gone by now. The mecha was almost there though, and one could actually moving about. It wasn't making any loud crashes, though more than just twigs broke as it moved about the trees. The pilot moaned inside about the orders to stay below the trees, as chances are this wasn't anymore stealthy than being above them. Heck, being above would probably be MORE stealthful than this.

(Kaosu: Mooks are not to be treated as part of a plan unless that plan is distraction.)
(Ozma: Are you going to REMEMBER this? After all, we are dealing with main character types this time. Anything could happen. Letting them get here too soon would be a somewhat bad thing, and if they actually manage to BEAT you...)
(Kaosu: Like that--oh right, main characters can do anything.)
(Ozma: Right. If they get here too soon, and beat you, things will go very very VERY badly. Screw up the universe badly. End of the world for everyone badly.)

Sarah squeaked again, and looked at the toy again. Then looked back up at the two. "W..WEll you see..." she fidgeted a little bit. Their was a very good reason to why the young one wouldn't let this toy go. why she wouldn't let anything happen to it, why she wouldnt let it go. It was almost a simple reason as well. Her ears twitched back. "y..You see...

M..My...My mama made me Usagi..."

She said those words very softly "w..when I was born..m..my mama made him for me.." the rabbit was an old stuffed animal then, living as long as the little youkai has so far. She seemed to shake a little bit when she said that. and her eyes shook along with her little body.

"m..My mama made me Usagi..a..and..." she touched the bunny on the head, trying not to start crying "A..and mama....Wont be able to make me something ever again...."

Little Sarah didn't know if the two would get what she meant by that, but her little eyes started to form more tears in them, and started to run down her cheek. The little demon meant, that her mother was gone. Gone from this world. The poor little thing didn't have a mother anymore, or a father, just a big brother that she wasn't able to find.

"U....Usagi is something I have from m..mama..t..that she made just for me...a..and he helps me make it seem..l..like shes still with me..s..somehow.."

(Ozma: And, you need a commander for the mooks so their usefulness can multiply. It would be nice if these thoughts stayed in--)
(Kaosu: --your head. You know nothing does though, nothing stays still...)
(Ozma: (#) You know thoughts can move around without LEAVING, right?)
(Kaosu: One's more fun. Fufufu.)

Rika and Zi listened to her tale. So, the rabbit belonged to her deceased mother...obviously, pressing that would be just plain wrong, so Rika said "...I understand." and Zi nodded her head to show that she did as well. Such a subject should not be touched on quite so.

As the last of the faeries retreated due to lack of numbers, the mech finally arrived. It appeared to look like a mechanical eye worm thing, 10 feet long. The sharper hearers would hear some mumbling in there, followed by a slightly more audible shout as it shot a quick laser at the tank, hitting it's cannon, which disabled it.

Well, Rika was not going to have this, but she was indeed having it. Her ego prevented her from retreating though, and so she fired a bunch of blasts from other parts of the tank at the thing, determined to make it a scrap heap and possibly interrogate the person inside. Though, her beating the thing was made harder via disabled main cannon, but she would probably refuse to back down.

Whether she knows she's losing or not. Though, she doesn't appear to be winning or losing yet.
