[Little Sarah]

Koto squeaked some, he let out a very small sigh. He looked at Aya a moment, he was really trying to think. "We don't know any summoners really, At least, not that I know of, unless there like secretly one or something, but other then that I don't think we know anyone or anything like that" the boy shrugged a bit.

"And as for me, there should be no reason someone would be after me, there's nothing special really, I'm just a raccoon youkai with a sword that reacts to me, it doesn't seem that strange really" he nodded his head some. "Just a big brother watching over his sister and trying to keep her safe" ( course he doesn't do a very good job of it~ Koto: D8< hey!)

However, his expression changed some when Aya asked if there was any reason they would be after Sarah. His ears fell back against his head and he clearly got more nervous then he had been a moment, again, looking at his little sister a moment.

"n..no..t..there should be no reason that someone would be after her either, n..noting at all!" Koto was a horrible liar. it was obvious he was not telling the truth. It was clear their was something he didn't wish to tell.

He walked over some and picked his little sister up" I think we've answered enough now" Koto said simply, he seemed to want to leave before he could say anything else.

Sarah made a very small squeaking noise when her big brother pricked her up. She tilted her head slightly. Even the little raccoon could notice her brothers nervousness, and his anxiousness to leave the area before Aya asked anything else.

"B..big brother? is there something wrong?" she asked, her little ears twitched some "y..your acting kinda funny..."

Koto sighed some "n..no, nothings wrong..I'm fine Sarah okay..just..don't worry"

So they didn't know any summoners...She tapped her chin for a moment in thought and continued to take notes. There didn't seem to be any reason why he would be targeted either, but he was clearly lying when he said there was no reason anyone would be after Sarah. Why would the monster go after him instead of Sarah then? Aya tapped her chin with her pen again. Nothing was coming to mind. All that she could be sure of at this point was that he was probably telling the truth about everything earlier and she would be able to tell when he was lying in the future because he just sucked at it. Not even she could find the words to describe how bad he was at lying.

Sadly, that little lie not only made her more curious, but a little irritated as well. Aya hated liars and she firmly believed it was her job to find the truth and report it to everyone in the world regardless of what anyone actually thought of her. Koto was not going to get away until she knew why Sarah would be a target, and she meant that quite literally. Aya was a very persistant person, and she was one of the fastest people in all of Gensokyo, so it's not like he could just run away. However, if he wasn't going to tell her anything she was going to have to play 20 questions. Why would anyone be after this girl? Well, there was one obvious thing.

"Are you sure no one would be after her?" she quickly darted in front of Koto so he couldn't just walk away. "She doesn't have a special power or anything that someone might want?"

That seemed to be the obvious answer. Well that and she might be tasty, but no one would go this far out of their way to find food and that goddess probably didn't even need to eat anyway.

Aya simply stood directly in front of him. If he turned in a different direction she would follow. Put simply, she wasn't about to let him get away before she knew as much about this situation as tenguly possible.

Koto let out an angry growl, the raccoon boys tail puffing out a little bit when Aya jumped in front of her, he was obviously not very happy with being blocked from getting away. He tried to move around Aya with his ears pin-strait back against his spiky head of hair.

" I said their was no reason Okay...their isn't one.. not one at all" he repeated after she asked her questions again, though one of his ears had flicked up just slightly at the word powers, but quickly went back down again. it was not done on purpose. He just seemed to react to that word.

Little Sarah seemed very confused at her brothers reactions. She looked down at her little hands, before looking up at her big brother again. "B....Big brother..w..what..what about when m..my necklace starts glowing...s..shouldn't we tell w..what happens when that h..."

She was shushed when koto put his finger to her mouth to keep her quiet a moment, letting out a small sigh" no Sarah...we shouldn't tell about that....you don't want to announce anything like that to people" he told his little sister very quietly, moving his finger away from her mouth so she could speak again.

"...especially not annoying reporters that are going to broadcast it to the whole land" he growled a little bit, that part he said loud enough for Aya to hear as well. He didn't seem to like Aya trying to get more and more information, it bugged him quite deeply.

The little raccoon girl gave her brother another weird look, before glancing over at Aya and making a tiny little squeaking noise, as if almost to ask why her brother was acting that way toward her. She didn't really understand much of what was going on. Or why her big brother was so nervous about saying anything about powers. She didn't really understand her powers at all, her brother knew more then she did.

The slight flick of his ears didn't go unnoticed. Aya was a professional after. Well, that and she was used to having to use alternate methods to figure things out because no one would ever tell her anything anymore. She never really did understand her bad reputation. Ah well. The girl simply reaffirmed that she had a cool ability.

As for exactly what it did...well Aya did have a few guesses, but it actually didn't matter that much. She could probably get that from whoever's after them. She was much more interested in figuring out just who that was. It probably wasn't this "thing" because it seemed pretty mindless and stupid from what Koto described. Besides, it didn't even go after the girl. It probably wasn't the goddess because she let Sarah go. The third guy looked more like he was going to kill her than kidnap her, so that didn't seem likely either. There must be someone else.

"Well, if you're not comfortable with telling me about this power can you at least tell me who is probably after it? I'll be sure to investigate the area the thing attacked you, but another lead would be very helpful."

Not to mention it would mean she would leave them alone for a bit at least. Aya was very interested in getting to the bottom of this mystery. It was very interesting and it would surely make a wonderful story! She hoped that they would just accept her help because it would be very beneficial to both of them. Aya would get her story, Koto and Sarah would know who was after Sarah and they may even be able to put a stop to that person together.

" I told you before Aya, I don't know. We don't know what the heck, or who the heck would be after anything" his ears fell back against his head" and that is the frustrating and annoying part of it!" he rubbed his head with one hand.

If I knew who the hell was trying to do this, and who was attacking us, I would of dealt with them a long time Ago, but I don't, I have no clue what so ever who would be doing this. or why, or what the hell they see in my sisters power!" he growled a little bit. it was mostly just from his frustrations, he really wasn't trying to be mean to Aya, but everything seemed to worry him now, and he didn't like telling allot of information that he did not know who would know or read about it.

Little Sarah blinked and looked over at Aya again, her big fluffy tail twitching just a little bit" M...Miss Aya... I... I don't..I don't know allot about my power..b..but....m..maybe...i..if you can help us..help us find maybe why s..someone is attacking us..m..maybe...maybe I can tell you w..what happens when m..my..my power goes off when I'm scared..." she looked up at Koto" i..Is that okay big brother?"

Koto looked down at her, his ears twitched back against his head again and he nodded" if she can somehow help....."

She was more referring to that odd blue-haired guy when she asked if there was anyone they knew that might be after them because they all seemed to know each other. Perhaps he was just obnoxious. Judging from the way he was acting that didn't seem like an unreasonable assumption. However, when it came to writing newspapers she had to make as few assumptions as possible, so Aya was not content to just assume he was a prick acting on his own.

"That blue-haired man. You do not believe he has anything to do with this?"

What they said next brought a smile to Aya's face. They were admitting that the little girl did indeed have a special power. Well, it was pretty obvious that she did, but they were hiding it before. This was a definite improvement.

"Yes, the more I know about the situation the more I'll be about to research. Please tell me everything you know about her power."

Koto grumbled a little bit. He obvious wasn't to happy with saying anything about the situation. "fine.... yes my sister does have powers, and yes something is after them, though I nor her know who or what the hell it is at the moment." His ears flicked back a bit." and Dorei might have something to do with it, but you never know with someone like him." he shook his head" he’s an unpredictable idiotic bastard that needs to learn when he’s beat, but he does get jobs that are assigned to him , so he might of been sent by this person, but like I said, I have no flipping clue really."

The raccoon boy placed Sarah on the ground and leaned against one of the trees. his tail kind of twitching. " My sister has a relic sealed inside her body, some kind of powerful stone thing. Are mother had put it there to try and protect her. It in truth is only supposed to release power when she was in danger, and was supposed to completely unseal itself when she’s old enough to handle the power that its giving off..." he closed his eyes " however, lately, cause of all the frigging stressful things that have been going on, with what happened to are parents, and all the things attacking . The stone has unsealed itself. Not all the way unsealed, but partially and that’s enough to release some of the power..."

Sarah squeaked a little bit. She was listing to everything her brother had explained. The little raccoon really didn't understand much of any of it but she did understand that she had power. "S...So..w..when I get scared....o..or mad..t..the g..gem is reacting to that. A....and normally..t..things blow up..." her ears twitched back and she looked up at koto "r...right?...i..is that...is what why t..that keeps happening when I'm scared..."

Koto just nodded "yeah...but you just having power isn't the only reason something is after you...." he looked at aya" there’s something else about that stone that my mother had told me.."
