[Little Sarah]

Koto growled some " What do you mean?! I listen to everything she has to say!" he snapped, not realizing the fact he was Ignoring his little sister right at this moment. " and why would she be trying to warn me of anything now..the only thing I see is you and to me you are evil.. considering you had my sister, and you have one of her friends, that's evil in my book" he growled and crossed his arms.

"BIG BROTHER LISTEN!" Sarah pleaded pulling at his pant let again" Please big brother..you gotta listen! you gotta!" she seemed really panicked. "Y..you have to lsiten..i..its..its d.."

Sarah was interupted when gust of wing, a strong wind blew w in the direction behind them as something landed in the tree, letting out a small chuckle " Koto, you should really listen to your sister when shes trying to warn you ya know.." a blue haired demon boy perched and seemed to laugh a bit" you never know when its important."

Koto turned his head "Dorei?!" he snarled and grabbed onto his sword, automatically pulling it out defensively. "Sarah why didn't you warm me he was coming"

Sarah growled " BAKA! I WAS WARNING YOU! YOU WEREN'T LISTENING!" Sarah snapped, her little fluffy tail puffed out from a bit of anger.

Koto sweat dropped" oh...right.." he glared At dorei a bit "what the hell are you doing here?!"

Dorei smirked "Oh Dear Koto, why am I always here..to make yours and the runts like miserable.." He grinnned, showing his sharp fangs
"and maybe claim that untamed power your runt of a sister has that you are too 'protect'. I quote protect cause its obvious your not very good at it" he smirked.

Was the ability to do such things even useful? Aya, like most people in Gensokyo, didn't quite have the same firm grasp on energy like the people in the outside world did. All energy was to her was something that kept her awake and allowed her to use danmaku. Ozma's examples didn't help much either because Aya could only picture them as danmaku and how powerful danmaku was didn't depend on the type it was but on the person that used it. Of course, all danmaku was supposed to be dodgable as well. In short it seemed like a completely useless ability that was hardly worth kidnapping what was likely a small child over.

"Oh I see. What do you need to use Zi for?" Perhaps this would shed some light on why she was kidnapping a kid like that. She rubbed her chin for a second while she thought of another question to ask. She still couldn't understand why Kaosu would put her castle in such a strange location. "I still don't understand. Was there something in the forest that made it a good location for her castle? Or something about it maybe?" She wanted to understand this better. It was bad enough that she was already going to have to come to her own conclusions about their true motive, but she wanted to make sure she had as much information as possible before doing something like that. Aya refused to print lies in the Bunbunmaru after all.

Aya's ears twitched a bit when she heard an unfamiliar voice. It seemed like Sarah and Koto didn't like whoever this voice was, but she didn't really care until the newcomer said something that made her a little upset and interested at the same time. 'Claim her power?' How did someone do that? She's heard of people that were able to copy danmaku, but no one that could actually take it. Heck, the thief Marisa Kirisame was famous (or perhaps infamous?) for stealing peoples' spell cards, but it's not like they couldn't use them after she took their techniques. That was very interesting, but she didn't like the sound of some of his words. First, how the heck could anyone want to deliberately harm a sweet little girl like that? The yama would have a field day with him! Second, what if he did something to her that would make it so Aya couldn't interview her anymore? That was just plain UNFORGIVEABLE. She didn't know if he was planning such a thing, so she just decided to give him a friendly warning first just to be fair.

"Excuse me for a moment Ozma," she bowed slightly and flew over to where the three of them were standing. "Good afternoon. I'm going to be interviewing these two soon, so can whatever you want to do to them wait until after I finish? Thanks~" she flew back over to Ozma and waited for the answers to her questions. Of course, if that newcomer dared to do anything to Koto or Sarah he'd be dealing with one very angry reporter.

Ozma quickly responded to Koto before dealing with Aya's questioning.

"Riigghhtt."

And then back to the questioning. Again, she said something she could not answer all the way, and this was followed by something she really didn't know.

"For a type of energy that we need. And I really wish I knew what Kaosu was thinking, but that's how she is. Part-time loony. Comes with her job."

And then Aya was distracted. Ozma knew the distraction was caused by someone of evil intent, by just the sound of his voice, and exactly WHAT he said was enough to tick Ozma off right away. Of course, she asked Ozma to excuse her, so Ozma did.

"You're excused."

Now, Ozma could focus all of it's attention on the group instead of being forced to focus mostly on Aya. Or rather, if the newcomer made a move against Sarah (and speaking of power, Ozma did recognize a power from her earlier...), he would be met with a sudden flamethrower coming right at him.*

Of course, Dorei was right about one thing, which Ozma could not help but comment on.

"Even the bad guy agrees with me."

*(If Dorei attempts to attack Sarah, the flamethrower will be five feet from her and in Dorei's face before he even knows what's coming. If he doesn't, the flamethrower won't even appear, dood.)

Koto glared at Aya" what do you mean 'wait till your done interviewing' ya know you really piss me off lady!" he snapped angrily, but most his attention was on the blue haired guy in front of them.

Little Sarah was holding onto koto's leg, her ears strait back, the little girl was obviously was frightened. you could tell by both the way she looked, and the fact the glow within the tiny raccoon girl had returned.

Dorei blinked, the blue haired Evil demon just kind of stared at Aya, but then started laughing, almost loosing his balance on the tree branch he was sitting on "oh..ho gosh that Sure is funny, you want me to attack on your schedule..well, I'm sorry if its not on your little planned time slot there girly, but its on mine you got that!" he growled, but he was still chuckling, showing his fangs again.

"Aside from that I have my own time to worry about.. "he seemed to glare down at where Koto and Sarah was. He had a wide smirk on his face, mostly cause the very small raccoon youkai was clinging to her big brothers leg and kind of shielding herself behind it. that and he noticed the light glow coming from her.

" My time, my business, my rules!" Dorei growled, before making his wings spread out and dived down quickly, but before he reached the siblings, the flamethrowers went off. he growled and seemed to move quickly, making it so his wings would wrap around him and take the blow. but this caused him to hit the ground quick.

Sarah poked her head out from behind her brother "heh! it got him!" she yipped happily.

but her little happy burst was quickly silenced. As dorei, started to sit up, and he just started laughing, laughing insanely" heh ..heh...yes.. .fire... Nice" he laughed. he sounded kind of like a maniac "Heh. Nice shot..whoever was the one that took it..he..hheehehehe ...AHAHAHAAHAH!" He pushed himself up to his feet laughing more and more. his dark red eyes just seemed to gleam. "heh heh... I really didnt plan on doing this... But.. I mine as well now..." he grinned darkly as a purplish colored fog started, comeing from under his wings, and started coveirng the ground and air around them.

Koto growled "ha.. like your poisons going to reach us,,its to low!" he snapped angirly.

Dorei closed his eyes "Koto.. I didn't say the poison was meant to reach you right away..did I?"

Koto growled" then why are you doing i...SARAH!" he quickly looked down to see the small girl shaking, , trying to cover her mouth with the sleeve of her shirt. it was hard to see her completely the fog was covering and it was getting thicker. while Sarah was close to him ,he quickly picked her up. the little thing had already breathed some of it in. he quickly tore a bit off his shirt and tied it around his sisters nose and mouth, she could still breath, but the cloth would filter out most the poison.

Dorei grinned "but don't worry... too much..the fog will reach up eventually..and no worries if your not effected by poison "he smirked some "what he had meant was that the fog was also thick enough to obscure vision enough for him to attack, almost without being seen, in fact the image of him was already pretty obscured.

Koto held his sister and covered his mouth with one sleeve " why do I attract all the freaks?" he thought out loud , snarling.

Part-time loony? Sounded about right, and it certainly made a lot of sense since Kaosu was the god of chaos (or so she claimed). She made a little note of that in her notebook since the shikigami said it herself(?). However, it seemed like Ozma's interview would have to wait. Aya felt a little bad that she was going to have to deal with this nuisance instead of proplerly interviewing her, but she didn't seem to mind too much when she had to deal with him before, but that didn't make it any less rude. Ah well, she couldn't let a story that she worked so hard to get slip away like that. If someone wanted to make Aya fight seriously, if anyone wanted Aya to be truely angry, getting between her and a story was the way to do it. Put simply, she was not a happy reporter right now, and even that was a very extreme understatement.



At first, she simply had a murderous expression painted on her face as she slowly turned her head in the newcomer's direction. If he had simply waited his turn she wouldn't have cared nearly as much if at all. Heck, if he had simply waited until she left she may not have even found out about whatever he was going to do for another few days or so. But since he was being an idiot and interfering with her work she obviously how to do something about it. Her lips curled into a smile once she realized what his ability was. Poison? This had to be some kind of a joke. Not only did he have the audacity to interfere with her work, but he didn't even have the power to back it up. Aya could manipulate wind, so it was useless to use poison against her.

She quickly turned the rest of her body towards him and shouted, "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"

Of course she didn't actually expect him to leave on his own after that little display of stupidity, nor could she just let that poor little girl suffer anymore. So, as she shouted she swung her fan as well to create a very strong gale. Sadly she couldn't make it too strong or it would blow Koto and Sarah away as well, but hopefully it would be a nice wake-up call for this blue-haired moron. If Aya was being her normal self she would have just stopped there, but since she was actually serious now she was actually going to try to win. She was only trying to impress Kaosu and not get hurt before, she was actually considerably more dangerous.

She decided to try a diving kick like she did against Kasou, but where should she aim? Eh, his head was as good a target as any. She flew back a bit and then started to dart towards him. Because she had to fly into him feet first she couldn't fly as fast as she would have liked, but her speed was still something anyone would expect from the world's fastest tengu. She would continue to try to kick him around after that, even if she didn't hit him. She was going to try to get between him and Koto and Sarah so she could just blow him away. Reporters weren't supposed to fight right? Right, so she wasn't interested in killing him or even seriously injuring him. Aya just wanted him to get the hell out of here so that she could continue to write her story.

Ozma would have interfered further to stop Dorei, but...

Suwako*, she didn't want to get in HER way. She looked like Kaosu when it was a bad day.** In any case, her sheer anger was emitting chaos energy, which of course floated about in the air before being sucked in by Ozma. It wasn't something anyone here could ever notice, nor would it have any effect whatsoever on the situation. Matter of fact, it had happened during the battle, it was just never typed, but this was such a force that it couldn't be ignored. Ozma decided not to get in her way unless she really needed it.

"I'll leave the rest to you then, Aya. I'll wait here for you."

If she had any boss other than Kaosu, she would be lost for words. But as she spoke normally, Ozma's voice seemed hardly surprised.

So Ozma waited. She knew escaping from Aya was pointless, she had the eyes of a tengu, the speed of the fastest tengu, and the wind to blow every escape or attacking method away. He was done for, and unless some Deus Ex Machina happened, she wouldn't even be needed. If some did, she could simply wipe the Deus Ex Machina off the face of the planet on a moment's notice, even without her god watching over.

*(An alternative for Jesus Christ nowadays, at least how I see it, Suwako being the lower of two people treated as the main gods.)

Dorei seemed to smirk a bit, despite the poison being blown away, more was released. " I didn't say any of the poison was to hurt any of you silly, but by my experience both the little raccoon Youkai down there have pretty sensitive noses..epically the little one, the scent of the poison would be even enough to make her dizzy." He seemed to launch a little bit, his red eyes gleaming a bit.

He seemed to perk up a little listening. he folded his wings agianst himself again to keep himself from the wind quite well. he glared over At Aya and laughed" What.. And leave all this fun.. I don't think so" he laughed a bit more...boy, did the blue haired evil guy like laughing.

He seemed rather goofy. It was amazing that someone like him was even planning on attacking anything at all. Though, he was hideing something. He smirked and charged forward. He was headed towards Aya of coarse, mine as well head for the one trying to attack him right?. He charged forward and leapt up so his now spread wings would catch some of the current he was creating, as well as catching some of the wind Aya was generating.

Once he was close enough though, he Used one of his hands ans slashed his claws at Aya, however, waht was not seen, was a blade, hidden underneth one of his wings , was brought out with anouther one of his hands, was thrown behind her, then pulled ( It was connected to a chain) So, in Doreis perspective atleast, if she jumped back form the claws, she might get cut wit the weird blade.


Sarah whimpered in her brothers arms, The Appearence of Dorei made her uncomfortable, as well as med, she wished the Poison man would just go away, and leave her and Koto both alone. She let out a little growl watching Dorei, her necklace glowing, but along with her necklace, it was now obvious that a part of her chest was glowing aswell.

Dorei actually herd thel ittle growl and laughed "aww.. Look.. the little runt gets angry at me." he smirked" or is it scared.. I really cant tell with that thing.. but don't worry you little fluffy rat, you will have a real reason to be scared later on ..you can trust me on that one..." He started laughing again.

Koto snarled " STOP WITH THE DAMN LAUGHING YOU FRIGGING PSYCHOPATH!" He snapped" we get it your crazy, and think you can beat evreyone..ohh..and look how strong you are..scareing a little girl.. gosh your such a little wimp.. I could kick your butt like the last several times I have!"


Dorei's eyes flashed some at that " YOU SHOUT THE HELL UP YOU PORCUPINE HEADED FREAK!"

"Make me you wanna be villian!" Koto snapped.

They seemed to argue like that for quite a bit, distracted Dorei for now atleast. The two boys arguing even made Sarah face palm and grumble. " BIG BROTHER FOCUS!" she snapped.

Oh, so he decided to charge towards her? Excellent! This was going to be much easier than she thought because now she no longer had to worry about hitting the little girl and her older brother. Aya stopped her dive-kick attack and started to back up rapidly in order gain some more distence between this loony and the pair she wanted to interview. However, once she was sufficiently far enough away she simply stopped and let him come to her.

Once he attacked she didn't jump backwards, she dove downwards exceptionally quickly, and then flew up behind him. Aya was flying so fast that it almost looked like she teleported behind him. Most tengu were incredibly fast, but Aya made almost all of them if not all of them look downright slow. Before turning back to fight the blue-haired guy she noticed that the poison was indeed flowing out of him and not something else. So this really was just like the doll during the flower incident; he didn't stand a chance. Well, since he was closer to her and was no longer near the girl she decided that she might as well blow away all the poison around them if there was any before going back to fight him.

God, not only did he have a totally useless ability, but it was also beyond easy to distract him. This was just embarassing. Well, whatever, it made Aya's life easier so she wasn't about to complain. She swung her fan and created a gale so great that it could effortlessly knock over a person's house, however, she stopped it before it could hit her target. Instead of just being a strong blast of wind the act of stopping it like that turned it into a massive tornado. After she created the first one she moved to a different location and created a second one, then she created a third and kept repeating this until there were eight tornadoes heading towards her target. Normally she would only create three at once, but she wanted this guy to the the hell out of here as quickly as possible.

Of course, if he tried to fly into her he'd probably just be blown back by the sheer force of the gale she created. And if he didn't get out of there early she would quickly completely surround him with her funnel clouds. She figured that she was far enough away from everyone else that they shouldn't be sucked into it, but it would be a good idea for them to back away a bit just in case since it was clear that Aya wasn't really thinking about anyone's safety when she did this.

Dorei was screwed.

Was there anything left to be said?

No, there wasn't.

It was simply wondering if he was going to be alive and well, unconscious, or dead.

And so Ozma waited. For the results of him, and for it all to be over. May Dorei rue the day he crossed one of the strongest youkai/tengu in all of Gensokyo (and Ozma).

(Is there anything to say? As already stated, no. So I posted here quickly. Oh ho ho.)

Dorei growled a bit, the force of the tornado's, and the wind was enough to shove I'm back as soon as he tried flying forward, and quite far as well. His Wings spread wide open still. He was pushed back a nice distance away from them, folding his wings up again so hew would land on the ground again to better get a grip on the ground.

He grumbled some, ' I'm ganna have to pull back..oh..This is not how I wanted today to turn out...' he thought to himself. grumbling something slightly, before he opened his wings up again, and took off into the sky, going off into the sky, away from them all.

Koto growled" good riddance..annoying blue haired Nat" he growled to himself a bit. "He always loosing..no matter who he fights he looses... I don't know why he even trys.." he growled a little bit.

But Koto knew very well if Sarah was alone Adan Dorei was here, she would be in allot of trouble, even if her power could be strong enough to beat him. she didn't have enough control of the blasts of energy she caused to be able to get a precise hit, and if she bit him to get away, she would just be poisoned by his blood.

Sarah grumbled and sneezed, coughing a little bit too, she breathed in a little bit of doreis poison, but it wasn't enough to harm her little body too much, just enough to make her sneeze and feel a little sick was all.

"How the hell dose that Bastard find out so much" Koto growled out loud. "I still have no clue how he find out about Sarah's Abuility... I mane.. my family is the only know that knows about it really... Hell! Sarah doesn't even really know and shes the one that has the Ability!" he was shouting out loud to himself.

Sarah, who Koto finally put back on the ground, blinked and looked at her brother "what don't I know big brother?" she asked tilting her head a little bit. "w..what Don't I know about?"

Koto squeaked and sweat dropped" Uhh..n..nothing Sarah...heh.. Its just..well..Uhh.. nothing.. Nothing at all.." Koto felt nervous about Telling His sister about anything she could do, he was afraid that telling her might frighten the little raccoon, he didn't want that now. After all, she could already create pretty strong explosions, and thats just when she got scared, imagine what could happen if there was some kind of control of that power.

That was what dorei wanted, control off that power, weather it b e for him or someone else, but at the moment, it looked like the little raccoon fluff ball was the only one that could use it, and she could only use it randomly when frightened.

She tilted her head alittle bit" O..Okay.." she yipped, the glow from her little body had died down now, luckily, though it still showed a bit.

((Late reply is late. Gen and I discussed having Ozma just tell her everything this post instead of playing it out since I already wrote the article.))

When Aya finally decided to stop the onslaught of tornadoes she noticed that her opponent was running away. Excellent, that meant she wasn't going to have to fight anymore! Once he got far enough away and once it looked like he wasn't going to be coming back her demeanor changed almost immediately. She went from looking downright pissed off to perfectly happy. Her muscles relaxed, the death glare vanished from her face, she smiled and she calmly flew back to Ozma so she could get the rest of the information she needed.

The interview continued for a little while. Aya was annoyed that Ozma wasn't willing to reveal important information, such as their motive for doing this for example, but she thought she had enough information to draw a logical conclusion at least. She did warn Ozma that she was going to have to write something in hopes that would be enough for her to spill the info she wanted, but alas that did not happen. Oh well, she certainly had enough information to write a decent article, so that was good enough for her. Once she finished interviewing Ozma she bowed a bit, thanked her(?) for her time and flew over to where Sarah and Koto were standing.

"Good afternoon. Thanks for waiting for me to finish up with Ozma. Koto, when we first met you said you were being chased by a 'thing.' What did this thing look like?"

This question had two purposes. First, she wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt because they just fought something that could be best described as a "thing." Koto had specifically told her that she would probably not have to fight this "thing" that was chasing them, so if Ozma was this "thing" then she would be very displeased. However, if this "thing" was something else entirely she would obviously want to know what it really was so she could try to get a picture of it.

Of course, if Ozma really was that "thing" he was talking about he would learn one of the many lessons of Gensokyo the hard way: never piss off a tengu reporter.

[Little Sarah]

Koto Looked at Aya a moment and sighed. He Set Sarah on the ground to allow the little raccoon to roam around a little bit and then turned his attention back, crossing his arms.

" It was some youkai, it was kind of lizard like in a way...actually in truth it was really hard to describe.But what I can tell you was it was kinda lizard like, and looked like it might of lived near the water cause of the way its arms and legs were shaped, as well as its tail, it was kind of paddle like. But all I cared about is it tried to hurt us.so I was going to Kill it before it could" he shook his head a bit.

"and before you say anything yes I know it wasn't smart to leave Sarah asleep there alone, but It was the only thing I could think to do at the time. Its would of been even more dangerous to carrying her whiles she was asleep and fight the thing!"

He nodded his head a little bit and his tail flicked back and forth. but he yipped as Sarah tugged at his Pant Leg, her little ears flickering a bit "b..bit brother..the monster had a funny small" she yipped.

Koto gave a weird look "how did you know that?..you were asleep.." He seemed very confused.

"W..When I woke up.. I smelled some weird small around..i..it wasn't one that I normally smelled... It kinda smelled like..umm... Stagnant not moving lake water and the funny fussy green stuff that grows on the rocks near the water" she nodded some.

"Moss?" Koto asked. and Sarah nodded" y..yeah moss..and It also had kinda a icky sour smell that I don't know how to describe.. "

she then blinked and Looked at Aya, tilting her head to the side a bit " I..If you don't mind me asking miss Aya..w..why d o you wanna know about the monster?" she asked curiously. she didn't really know much about her brother being interviewed, or why he was.

Well, Ozma certainly wasn't a lizard-thing, and it didn't look like Ozma had gone swimming recently either. The only logical conclusion she could make was that Ozma was not this thing they were talking about. It was entirely possible that this thing was one of the sea monsters living in the Misty Lake, though after Sarah's comments that didn't seem likely. The water in the Misty Lake couldn't be considered stagnant by any stretch of the imagination.

Of course, now that Aya knew it wasn't Ozma she was going to have to figure out what that thing was. It was her duty as a reporter and well...she was curious and just wanted to know too. She carefully took notes in her notebook careful not to miss a single detail. This was going to interesting.

"Where did you first encounter this lizard-thing?"

That would at least give her a decent place to start looking, and a decent place to start finding rumors about. Aya couldn't think of a place with stagnant water off the top of her head, but Gensokyo was a big place. It's entirely possible that she simply hadn't seen it yet, so she was hoping they would be as specific as possible.

Then Sarah continued to be adorable and asked her own question. Asking a tengu why she wanted to know something seemed kind of silly. Most tengu Aya knew were extremely curious as well. But Sarah was young and it was an innocent enough question.

"There's no real reason, I'm just curious." Sure, she did plan on publishing this information, but curiosity and a desire to inform people of what's going on in Gensokyo was the reason she decided to start the Bunbunmaru Newspaper in the first place.

[Little Sarah]

Koto hesitated in answering Aya's question, he was trying to think of how far he had traveled from fighting the thing, to this area to find Sarah.

Little Sarah smiled at Aya, her fluffy tail twitched a bit" ohhs.. alright..that makes sense" she giggled a little " I ask questions al l the time when I'm curious..heh.."

Koto sighed some" I encountered the thing about ten miles from here east I think. though it didn't seem to belong in a place like this.. it seemed somewhat out of place.. " he leaned back against a tree. "As far as I can tell, I haven't smelled or seen anything that looks or smells like Stagnant water at all." he tilted his head a bit.

"and now that I'm talking about this.. I do remember something strange about the creature.. I could not tell from what direction it came from,,you'd think that there would be a trail if it had been pulling itself along the ground, but there was not one to be seen, or scented. its really weird" He scratched his head" how the hell could something just kinda appear to attack us?" he was kinda of asking his own question, not specifically to Aya, just out in the air, kind of thinking out loud.

The little raccoon girl listened to her brothers words, she was standing near Aya, and was just staring up at her big brother. She then opened her little mouth and spoke something that would explain why the creature might of appeared out of no where

"Big brother...." she squeaked "what if someone summoned the monster thing..."

Kotos eyes gotta little bit, he didn't expect his little sister to have a solution that really made sense and wasn't super childish "summoned?..."

It all started out as some weird mission to find some little girl, so she could write a cute article about that. It evolved to be so much more that Aya nearly began to salivate because of how juicy this scoop was. Weird "thing"-like creatures? A mysterious summoner? She was actually starting to feel grateful that the news had been slow when she decided to check out the border one last time. If that hadn't happened she would have never met Koto and never would have heard about this story. That slow news week was truely a blessing in disguise.

Aya quickly jotted everything they were saying into her notebook careful not to miss a single detail. When they finished talking she had to stop and think for a moment. She simply tapped her pen on her notebook while she thought. There had to be another layer of detail that she wasn't understanding. Based on how things looked now someone summoned a "thing" to go after them. Then another "thing" and some goddess from outside of Gensokyo deemed her a worthy target (granted not worthy enough to actually kidnap). Then some other guy came out of nowhere to try to kidnap her as well. The "thing" was probably targeting Koto since he left Sarah alone to sleep and the thing chased Koto instead of going for the sleeping child. The goddess' motives were harder to pin down. She obviously wasn't after Koto, but that's all she could really say. Technically she did try to kidnap Sarah, but then she used her as leverage to kidnap that Zi person.
