[Genshuku]

(Checking in with you: The light aura is inside the dark aura. So, there are two light auras and one dark one that seems to be in control of one of the light ones. Weird how one being has two auras, indeed. Gen's is pretty beat up though. She isn't used to that.)

What did the creature want? Why, of course it was going to answer such a question.

"Three reasons, two counting for you and two for the other. One, Orders. The tengu seems to be wanted by someone for some reason. Eh, money for me, so I don't care. Two, I like making people writhe in pain and suffer, which counts for both of you. Third, I would probably get a different reward if I bring the other girl in. Rewards for doing things I like to do, it's the life."

This was said as the possessed one charged at Herugomi, with her arm covered by a dark energy. When she got close enough, she would simply swing it at him. It was a bold attack, and this was entirely intentional. Of other note, it seemed that this was probably not the person that was out to get Heru, but the possibility of being tied to it was quite possible. And she certainly was not in charge.

Gen managed to recover, and decided to get out her own spear and wait for a good time to strike, just because she recovered somewhat didn't mean she should be pushing herself too much. She would fall over if that happened, which would make her open and dead. The spear seemed (and pretty much was) weightless to her, though for some reason she couldn't gravitify herself. Normally, this was possible, but for some reason it was halted. She was going to use the spear for self-defense, but as for attacking, Gen shot a few basic danmaku blasts at the demon. They manage to hit, but when they did, the good aura (Human-Seiun's, though it would take a while to figure that one out) shook again, and the demon didn't flinch. Gen certainly didn't understand what was going on, or how it looked like the attacks didn't even effect it.

Human Seiun's aura was simply being hit around and about, Gen's was slightly damaged but still at the ready, and Demon-Seiun's seemed to be only getting better, enjoying the whole fight and the attacks that were redirected to Human-Seiun's soul.

(The possibility that whatever dark force/creature that was attacking you is related to this is out in the open. Naturally, it being part of your backstory, I am reluctant to just say it is. If perhaps you wish for the two to be tied, please do state so. And by the way, do not let power levels get in your way of a decision (meaning if the demon/force was extremely powerful, do not use this as the reason to not do so, as the leader of these demons is quite capable of taking on a large amount of things in Gensokyo.) (Seems ok with me Genny, I like the fact that it is getting quite interesting. The story does seem to be related, and that doesn't bother me. It just makes it even more interesting. And thanks for the tip. =] )

The reason to the demon was quite simple, yet a smart attention. The Demon's arm was covered by a dark energy, And it got close and swung it's weapon towards him. Quite a bold attack indeed. Herugomi still had his guard up and was trying to defend himself from the strike that the demon strike him with; Sense his staff was already in front of him. While he was blocking he was taking little steps back because of the pressure that had been put on his Staff from that dark bladed energy that was on the demons arm. This creature mentioned orders, she must be working for someone, and if so...who?

Herugomi figured this might be the right time to actually figure out who in the world could this demon be possibly working for. And maybe if he knew, he could probably get some answers for the reason why that creature attacked him that one night long ago. Herugomi was just defending his self, he wasn't even trying to attack yet until he felt as though he had an acceptable targeted area.

He heard a simple movement in the background ~That must be the other girl

[/color]~ He thought to himself. Was he right? Yes. Gen seemed to have had managed a littler bit of recovery, which isn't so bad. Heru was wondering when she would get up, and he knew if she would've been fully recovered. Was he right? No. Even if he were right or not, he cared. Which was quite strange for him. He barely knows the girl yet he grew a certain bond really quick. Maybe because he felt like he knew her. Herugomi was stuck in a daze and jumped back it was instinct. Something told him to move, and as soon as he did a few danmaku blasts was shot towards the demon.

Heru shifted his eyes towards Genny. She's not even in full condition to be up like that! He shifted his eyes back towards the Demon-Seiun to watch the effect from Gen's blast. Was their an effect? The aura flickered which had slightly effected Heru's eyes. "Somethings not right. This being seems to be Possessed." He said comely. Heru rubbed his eyes with his right hand before focusing on the demon again. ~There must be another way.~ He thought.

So, this Demon has a good side. Yet the dark side seems to be stronger than the other. Is there a way to fix this problem? Somehow the light one needs to get stronger so that the dark one could get weaker. Herugomi thought of a plan that might work. He figured maybe, just maybe if he were able to get Gen well she would be able to make her light shine as bright as it did before (He still thinks Gen is the light that shined that one night). If her light shine as bright as it did before than just maybe, maybe she'll be able to beat the creature by bringing out it's good side. Heru believes that good is much more stronger than bad.

Herugomi ran to Genny and looked at her with a straight face. "We cannot stay here, we must go". Retreating? What? Heru wanted to run away? He didn't think that fighting like this would be the best of ways. It slightly annoyed him. Heru wasn't really the type of guy that would just give up in the mist of a battle. However he had to come up with something.

(Elsewhere, Mima was finally done cleaning the stupid shrine. Now, it was time to do some exploring by night. But what's this unusually loud ruckus? Did it deserve checking out?)

(...Yes. But only because she's bored.)

...Eh? It didn't even flinch! That means that for some reason, it simply didn't want to budge, and it seemed that the only way to kill the thing was to, as grotesque as it sounded, to chop it from limb to limb. Gen wasn't quite in the condition to do that at the moment, and what Heru said next stopped that from happening. Gen wondered where he got that idea, but due to him keeping the demon busy when she was such an easy target instead of leaving her to the demon's whims, she decided to go with it. Not like she could go with anything else at that point.

"I see. Well, it's better than any other options I have right now..."

The demon slightly lost balance due to his jumping back while she was attempting to advance through his weapon and the blasts, but this didn't stop her from the reckless attacking. However, the person said it out loud, so the demon decided to comment on how keen he happened to be.

"So you noticed? That's fine and dandy then, thanks to my previous body being destroyed in a battle, I simply got another body via sealing inside spell. It's good to be with the higher ups. I should REALLY tell you the story sometime."

It then laughed again, louder and still as maniacal as before, and then continued.

"The best part? I make the other girl feel all the pain. So every time you landed a hit, you simply injured an innocent. Great job."

On hearing this, Gen needed to think of something herself. In any case, retreating seemed like the best idea at this point. So, she set off with Heru in order to find a way to stop this thing. But of course, it followed. This time, instead of shooting just darkness, it started shooting purple/black fireballs. If it hit, it would burn. If it missed, it would set something on fire. Either way, not good.

(Mima: And what a ruckus it is.)

Herugomi nodded to Gen's reply, he knew it was a good idea by this time. However hearing the response the demon gave out, made Heru look back at her. How could someone be so foul? This demon was crazy! Herugomi didn't want to make a selfless move so he didn't put no emotion to wards what the demon said. He knew if he would he would've made a ridiculous move. He would've attacked the demon, and try to get the innocent away from her. A very dumb move indeed, so he was smart enough not to even attack.

He focused back to wards Gen and ran off after her, he wasn't really planning to run though (Sense he wasn't really a good runner anyway). So he spread out his wings as he ran and swooped up Gen into his arms. As soon as he swooped Gen into his arms he dashed through the deeper parts of the forest, flying slightly off the ground. He didn't want to demon to find them as they were trying to make their escape, however the demon followed.

It was obvious that the demon wouldn't just let them run away and give up that easily. It just said it had orders and also it thinks it would get a better reward if he brought both of them in it. Besides killing was something the demon likes to do.

Herugomi was a pretty good flier. So he knew he was able to play a little bit of flying games with the creature. Heru stayed low to the ground as he flew, and he payed attention to where he was going. It was sort of hard having the thought of an innocent he was hurting because the demon use it as a shield. He didn't know harsh creatures like that even existed. Although he has been through a lot, it shouldn't really be no surprise to him.

BOOM was the sound of a tree getting hit by purple/black fireballs. That was close, to close. If Herugomi would have got hit by the fireball he would've been done. Heru didn't really want to get hit, so he decided to play a little dodging game with fire. Although he was dodging the fireballs, the trees were catching on fire...which was bad.

...Crap. The whole time, and all Gen was doing was making an innocent person feel extraordinary amounts of pain the whole time. Damn it, she was supposed to be helping people, not hurting them. The demon took a wonderful glee at him looking, but was disappointed at the no show of emotion. Ah, oh well. Now where was she...oh yes, burning people. Oh, and the forest too. Matter of fact, he seemed to be dodging the fireballs, causing more destruction to the forest, though it still wasn't hitting him. So, it was time to go overkill, in order to actually land a hit.

The demon got a strange glow in it's eyes, followed by a show of normal and dark fireballs that all went at them, and the surrounding area. If he wanted to dodge this, he better start focusing some more, as it was no longer just simple fireball shooting. Of course, Demon-Seiun was still chasing them is it did this. She simply avoided anything that a stray fireball crashed into, and it eventually became bright enough to see clearly, like a torch would. Oh wait, the forest was BECOMING a torch. That explains it.

Gen was shocked at being picked up quite so, but picked up she was. It was slightly embarrassing, but the truth was that she probably wouldn't have been able to get away on her own. Surely, she would have to thank him later. But at the moment, her power seemed to be slightly unstable. However, it seemed to be working for her spear, as it was virtually weightless at the moment (which was noticeable). But the question was, why was it not working for her?

If one could see the demon's face at the moment, it seemed to be locked in a smirk. But right behind her was someone dressed in a mostly blue robe, with long green hair. She too had a spear, that happened to look exactly like Genshuku's. Instead of legs, she had an odd ghost tail. Gen would have recognized her, but they were moving forward and Gen was being held, so she couldn't really see. And due to it being brighter, thanks to the demon's own fire, she was able to charge a light spell without notice of the Demon. If Heru happened to notice, Mima would simply ignore the notice.

In any case, Mima's aura was quite a mix of good and evil. Three things were for certain though: she was certainly powerful, she was helping out, and she was not human.

What? she was still behind them? Heroic just knew he would've lost the demon by now. However he was wrong. He continued zooming, passing through the trees, he noticed a pause, there weren't any fireballs anymore. ~Did I finally loose it?

[/color]~ He thought, he didn't want to get his hopes up to high. He knew the demon wouldn't be gone that easily, besides she was right on their tail! Heroic continued to run non-stopping. it was still silent...Suddenly! from the corner of his eyes, he seen fireballs hitting the ground beside him fast heading towards them. Her focused his direction straight forward and began to dash quickly, by this point...who knows what could happen.

Heru has some large wings, his wings might get shot. And if his wings were shot and on fire, he wouldn't take a chance of running. Because he was a very clumsy Tengu. Heru didn't notice the girl in the blue robe. He was simply focused straight ahead and nothing more. Only thing that ran through his mind was Gotta keep going and Don't stop. So he continued to run.

A strike of energy slightly hit him, it was bothering him. What the heck was that? For a second Heru thought that he was hit by a fireball. However that wasn't the issue. Herugomi seen the different aura from the corner of his eyes; that was a mix of good and evil. ~Who is that? Don't tell me there's more trouble.[/color]~[/blockquote]

"Bang bang."

Demon Seiun looked behind her, as Mima said those words, and was then hit by a rather large bright yellow needle. It looked like it hurt badly, which it did...for the demon. The girl under was only lightly effected, but the dark aura seemed to take most of that hit. And due to it attacking it like that, the demon finally stumbled and fell. The needle, which was inside of Demon Seiun, then vanished. The demon stayed down.*

"Direct hit~"

And what a hit it was. Gen actually looked back to the the downed demon (well, more like demon in a human's body), and saw the ghost-like person floating near the body. She then spoke, knowing who it was.

"Mima?"

Mima then looked back to see Gen's face, which was...getting smaller. She shrugged, and looked over the body she had made, aware that it was not dead, but not planning to kill it all the way. Which, was a good thing. If she did, she would have killed the innocent person inside, who was currently fighting for her mind. It seemed the danger was just struck down. Perhaps turning back to greet the person that just saved you would be a good thing to do? Or, keep moving.

The good aura grew in the aura that was mostly black before, and the attack that was made on the black aura had shrank it quite a bit on impact.

*(Big Damn Hero, dood.)

Herugomi jumped twice forward when he heard "Bang bang". He just stood there for 2 seconds, before actually looking back, Herugomi noticed the Demon falling on the ground...but why?

How did those simple words that were said knock someone down like that? Perhaps a weakness maybe? Heru didn't see what actually happened. By the time he had turned around, he seen Seiun fall. However, then noticing the needles that was in Seiun vanish, it became obvious. Shifting his eyes upward, Heru noticed the ghost person that was floating near the body that laid on the ground. Who was this ghost-like person? unfortunately, Heru has never seen anything like that before. Even though he has been surrounded by ghosts through his whole life.

"Mima?" was what Heru heard. Hearing that name turned his attention to Gen. "You know this person?" Asked Herugomi. He was a little confused, but if this girl known this person. That probably be something good at least. Heru was currently in a defensive mood. And he wasn't going to drop his guard, not unless he felt like it. Looking back toward the Mima, Heru just thought for a minuet, as he watched the good aura grow, and the darker aura shrink.

"Lady, how are you feeling right now?" He asked Gen. He wasn't really faced toward her, but at the Ghost-like person.

[Genshuku]

Gen turned back to Herugomi, and answered his question.

"Yes, actually. She was sealed in this spear, and thought one of the shrine maidens was behind it, and attacked her. I had to beat her up with the shrine maiden in order to convince her otherwise, and we forced her to clean up the shrine. But, she doesn't hate me anymore. I feel...fine, now that our pursuer is laying on the ground. I think I can stand now."

In reality, she could, but just barely. Really, she just wanted to be put down. Mima misinterpreted Heru, and responded.

"I feel fine, but that's only because I'm done cleaning that stupid shrine. Now, I have to find whoever had sealed me in the first place to make me do that. Then that person can die for all my lost time.* Yourself? And maybe you can tell me why this girl was chasing you?"

Speaking of 'that girl', she made a slight movement, and the good aura was still smaller than the dark one, but seemingly in control. Mima did not know that this person was a two-parter*, and quickly stuck her spear at Human-Seiun's neck, making her head stuck between the two edges of the crescent blade. The person reacted to the fact it looked like she was about to be beheaded, and made a noise that only a surprised person would make, but no words.

*(Several games worth of it, dood.)

Herugomi shifted his eyes to Gen as she spoken. After she told him she was ok, Heru sat her down gently, but still held onto her just-in-case. Hearing Mima speak, Herugomi faced toward her. He didn't know why the Ghost-like girl had answered the question he asked Gen. Maybe she got confused? It's not like he was faced toward Gen anyway. Then a thought struck him ~Maybe if I would've known this girl's(Gen) name, it would've been less confusing.

[/color]~. Herugomi shook his head at the thought before.

Heru paused at the question he was given from the Ghost-like girl before thinking deeply...~Why was she chasing us?~ His eyes narrowed as he thought about it. "I don't know." He said simply. He really didn't know why the creature was trying to kill them. He didn't even know why long ago. Maybe because a creature like that is blood thirsty, and at the time they were there for it's apatite. What ever in the case Heru knew it was a reason. But the reason was hard to grasp, which made it complicated for Herugomi to conger the thought up in his mind.

Herugomi turned his attention to the Human-Seiun slowly, as he shifted his eyes, they begin to narrow slightly. He heard and seen the way the girl reacted as the Ghost-like-person pointed her neck. ~Why was her reaction surprised? Could this be the light side of the creature that had attacked us?~ Heru thought as he starred. He didn't get it, but he wasn't planning on keeping his mind confused. He wanted to actually know what was going on.

Herugomi looked at Gen slowly as, he was a little shock to just now notice that he was pretty close to the girl. She was beautiful...like nothing he's ever seen before. He tried not to loose the thought he had before. But he couldn't help himself. The girl was just beautiful. Herugomi focused his eyes back toward Seiun so that he wouldn't stare at Gen. He didn't want the girl to feel uncomfortable.[/blockquote][/size]

What, does this guy not notice that this girl was about to be killed? He was the only one here that knew she was a two-parter, and yet made no mention of this, even as Mima's spear rested on her neck, the other two ends of the moon part being in the ground. It's a good thing she managed to talk before Mima decided that she was done talking, which would have resulted in death. Even when scarred for life again and again, people still value their own lives, unless others are at stake. Then, they tend to be more giving, but not always. But what am I doing, rambling like this?

"W-wait!"

Mima wondered why it sounded different than before for a second, then decided to speak.

"Why wait, when we can just get rid of you now? After all, you could just faking your 'new' personality in order to get away, which would actually explain why you wear clothes like that. So, why not? It'll save me some time..."

...Oh boy. Seiun knew she was in some deep trouble now. For a second, she would have welcomed the demon in order to get her out of this mess, and then she knew that even if it could take hold again, it wouldn't do that now that she thought this. And besides, there was no real way to directly prove that she wasn't faking anything and the demon was indeed a demon inside her and not just her. If only there was a way...*

But, Mima was quite serious. She was just a demon in her eyes, and therefore would have no problem sinking the spear all the way in the ground and setting off in the night, without a care in the world. Her aura hardly flickered.

Meanwhile, Seiun's aura was in a panic, trying to think of a way to prove she was not what the thing inside her was, and not being able to succeed. Due to this, her facial expression was also quite panicked, as she also could not argue with Mima and be believed at the same time.

Gen knew there was something else about that demon (Heru had said it), but...well, she couldn't really argue with Mima, there. The only person that would be able to say anything now would be Heru himself. Her aura seemed to be...well, resting. She was injured in the battle, so what else could it do? When she was sat down, she continued to...well, sit. The pain was painful, but it wasn't as bad as that one time she was caught off-guard by a bear on her way to that ship thing that she came to Gensokyo in...

Well, you've been called up to bat. Might as well pick the bat up and swing.**

Herugomi noticed that the girl was about to be killed. Well, that was silly of him. Why haven't he noticed before? It was obvious, he was to focused on Gen, that he had almost forgot about the girls aura changing. Listening to the conversation Seiun just had with Mima, Herugomi knew he had to say something, before the girl gets killed.

"Wait, don't kill her!"

Heru shouted. He knew he was doing something right, at first there was something in him that was saying Just let her be killed, and then forever the demon creature would be slain, he couldn't let that just happen, it would be unlike him to let something occur like that, Heru wasn't that horrible. He took one step forward as he continued to speak to Mima, hoping that she would understand.

"Her aura, it has changed. It's much more pure then it was, she isn't evil. The other aura that I seen was different, it's color was darker, but now I can barely see that aura, it's way purer than before."

He explained. Herugomi didn't know this spirit ghost girl Mima, however he really hoped she understood him. He shifted his eyes toward the Seiun, starring at her, double checking the aura color. He didn't want to make mistakes, for if he had, he would get the blame for it.

Don't kill her? Perhaps there was a reason to not kill her that she didn't really care to find out herself. Whatever.

"No~*"

And then she waited for the explanation, which she got.

...Let's make him explain everything even though she already got just what was going on here!**

"And why would someone be evil and not evil at the some time? Why would there be two auras in one body?"

Gen was catching on to Mima, slowly. But Mima had ceased to care about it, as it was their problem if they really wanted to bother with it. Regardless, Gen did not want to step into the conversation, as Heru seemed to have it covered. But she did stand up, due to feeling a bit better. Gravity manipulation actually does work in a way to stop bleeding.

Seiun knew that he would step in, as she did overhear everything while she was in possessed mode. But she was still worried, because Mima was still being Mima. For all she knew she would simply stab her anyway (which she wasn't going to do).

*(Outright lie. Obviously an outright lie. It even SOUNDS like an outright lie.)

He narrowed his eyes slightly as he heard the spirit girls response to what he said. She made a few god points, the points were so good, Heru would even pause and have nothing to say at all toward that what-so-ever. However, He didn't. He wasn't planning on having an innocent soul killed just because of a darker aura. Heru didn't want to see another die. He's always seen so many people die, and he had to be the one to witness it. Why? Because he is a crow Tengu. Crow's are one of the main birds that will warn you when something violent and deadly is about to happen. Crows are one of the main natural death signs. The many people that suffered, and the only one who knew the story would naturally be Herugomi. Naturally, Heru wouldn't have said anything at all. He would've left it as that and let the girl get stabbed, just to watch her suffer for chasing after him and Gen, he knew he couldn't just do that, that would be murder.

Herugomi starred at Mima before growling under his breath. He didn't want to just watch anybody die, no....not this time. This time he was going to change...well at least try to..

"Honestly...I don't know. All I know is that energy is way different than the other. It's feared, feared by us, which is way opposite than before. You cannot just kill an innocent soul, what would be the point of that?"

Heru continued to stare at Mima, he wished he had a better explanation, however, Heru cannot express himself. He's bad at it, very bad. He tried to explain the best he could. But if it's going to take an argument to stop this spirit from soldering this pure aura, he's up for it.
