[takiyoma]

It was a cold night in the middle of the Magic Forest. The moon was in the sky glowing brightly, the only thing that was seen was the moon because of it's brightness. It wasn't a full moon and it's bright glow hit the trees quite perfectly, making the trees look as though they were glowing there selves. Small fireflies flew around the fields, shining their lights off an on, making the scenery even more perfect. It was a beautiful cold but yet calm night. On top of an old thick tree was a Crow Tengu named "Herugomi Shinto". He was sitting on the top of the tree silently with his eyes closed. His sharp black spiky hair with two highlights of white on his bangs blew with the breeze, the moonlight made his hair look like a dark blue color as he sat there. This Crow Tengu was wearing a black cloak at the time with a black shirt and black matching pants. Herugomi's birth mark on his right cheek was un-covered from his cloak, it was perfectly seen. His birth mark looked as though a large bird had scratched his cheek, the color of it is silver. He had wore biker gloves with a silver skull on it, and a silver skull earing on his right ear.

Herugomi was just sitting up on the tree silent, not really doing anything at all. He didn't even know why he was there. He stretched his large black crow wings out wards, and flapped them twice, on because he felt as though his wings were stiffing up. Herugomi put his left hand on his "Fanged Bracelet" that his father had given him long ago, before sliding his hand to wards his "Silver Crossed Chained Necklace". His chain necklace was pretty long, so he had put it on his self twice so that it wouldn't fall off so easily when he flies. Why was he in the forest? was the question that he didn't seem to have an answer for. Only thing he knew was that he had seen something that was here long ago, but he couldn't really remember. ~The magical essence of this forest seems familiar to me...but I can't seem to grasp it...what is it that draws me to such a magical place?

[/color]~ He thought. All he could remember was a simple aura of a person, he wasn't really able to see the face or body structure of this person.

While he sat up there in the tree he kept his eyes closed. He pondered on the thought for awhile, not really letting it go. For some strange reason the thought of this aura he seen long ago had drawn him back to the place when he seen it. Herugomi was determined, he wasn't going to give up the thought so easily until he had figured it out. Besides, if it bothered him so much why not search for it instead of letting it haunt you? Herugomi was into common sense, and he also wasn't one who would give up.

[Genshuku]

It was indeed a beautiful night. And now that Genshuku had her powers again, wandering around the Forest Of Magic was quite viable. Thanks to the beautiful night, it was the perfect time to actually wander around. With all the glowing going around, the Forest of Magic earned the title of 'Magic'.

Gen didn't even have a real reason to actually be here, she wasn't on business. Business was something that really meant trouble nowadays. Instead, she was just here for the view. Or maybe to think for a bit about what the heck had happened. Magical ghost sealed in the weapon she got before leaving town, straying onto a machine and THROUGH the machine, figuring out how it worked and managing to end up in Gensokyo, being attacked by the magical ghost sealed in her weapon, meeting an oni...well, she wasn't even here for long and all this already.

Though if there was someone that believed in magical auras, Gen was that person. Perhaps there was something else drawing her here...but maybe not as well. An odd feeling, but that was probably just because of the view.

Though, something stood out from everything else. Of course, that's probably because unlike most of the other things that were in the forest, he was humanoid. However, the forest was still somewhat dark from over here, making it hard to get more details than that. Gen did want to get a clearer picture, so she walked over while trying to get a better look.

Herugomi continued to ponder on the thought that was running through in his head. He was so focused on the thought he didn't even realize that anyone had been in the same area as he was. ~Why can't I get a clear picture? It just doesn't make any sense to me...Hopefully I'll bump into this same energy again~. The thought that was in his mind was annoying Herugomi, to him it felt as though he was struck by a blade and couldn't get it out, however no matter how annoyed he got because of it, he couldn't just let it go. Something wasn't letting him loose it, something deep inside of him. ~Could this aura might have been the last same energy that I have seen in my past long ago? The same one that saved me?

[/color]~ He thought once more.

~Memory~

Long ago when the moon was full. Herugomi had got attacked by a dark evil energy, the energy had no name and no figure at all. This energy was very strong, and wasn't going to stop haunting him until he no longer existed. Herugomi tried hard to defend his self against the evil creature, and failed at its attacks. None of his attacks were effective. When Herugomi was at his peek, and wasn't able to see anything else but aura, the only thing he was looking at was the moon. The full bright moon had a large aura around it, and glowed brightly making a beautiful white light that seem to blind others within an instant, including himself. Herugomi thought it was the end, he thought this was the last of him even living, he was ready to die. As soon as he closed his golden-yellow eyes the light had perished and was no longer there, neither was the monster. When he opened his eyes all he seen was the moon, and he knew he was no longer in-danger.

~Reality~

All-of-a-sudden the sounds of moving sticks ran through his ears and echoed pretty loudly. Usually when he hears things in an echo it means that whatever it is, is near by. Herugomi opened his eyes and shifted them over to wards his left. He looked pass all the fireflies that were flying around randomly and happened to see a strange figure walking to wards him. Herugomi touched his dark green bladed staff and narrowed his eyes slightly. ~Is this an enemy?~ He thought to himself not really sure who or what that figure was. But paying close attention to the body structure he noticed that it was a "girl". For a long time he's been getting attacked by random things, so his guard was up.[/blockquote][/size]

[Genshuku]

The person that she saw seemed to be deep in thought. Of course, it wasn't hard to go deep in thought in a place like this, with the fireflies and the trees that might as well have been glowing. It did give her a better time to step closer, weapon on her back instead of drawn, as to appear non-threatening. After all, she didn't want to appear so, because the person could just be someone decent. Though she could pull out her weapon in a flash, because it just happened to be weightless to her, at least when it wasn't the full moon.

Genshuku probably would not be that aura, though she for some reason has a Lunarian feel around her (but not completely), and as it was the moon that played a part in his memory, the aura might be similar. But of course, the reason that it was so is because she was from the modern world, though Gen was beginning to doubt this. They even had lifts, and certainly were more civilized and powerful than the people back home. Hell, there was a rumor going around about super powerful energy sources, which if this were to be revealed would make the outside world look like crap.

But in any case, Gen checked one more time to see if he wouldn't just attack like pretty much everything else in the forest liked to do, it being Gensokyo and all, but stopped walking towards him (as she got as good of a view that she needed now, anyway).

Noticing the lady seeming harmless, Herugomi decided not to draw his weapon. This lady seemed mysterious in a way, he wasn't sure why she had came a little close and stopped walking. Maybe she wondered who he was? Maybe she thought he was some sort of monster? Whatever in that case he didn't really care much. Herugomi was a little relieved that the lady wasn't didn't seem much of an attacker, although she did have a weapon strapped to her back, so he was a bit aware. His golden-yellow eyes was just piercing down at the mysterious lady, as he thought to himself ~Why is she here? And what a fortunate timing...is this someone I must know?

[/color]~ Herugomi wasn't such a social person, obviously his thoughts were more expressive than his words when he speaks out verbally. But that is only because he thought to much.

Heru wondered if this girl was the aura he had remembered, but not quite sure yet he just continued to stare at her. He leaned forward slightly on a branch from the tree he was sitting on, and narrowed his eyes. The shine in his eyes that was reflected by the moon disappeared, and then reappeared in an instant. Heroic was starting to see auras around things. The trees aura shown a bright color of green; which meant life. The fireflies shown the same color, and the lady that was standing there's color seemed different than the others. This ladies aura was almost as similar as the moon; when he had got attacked by the evilly energy creature.

Herugomi's eyes widen slightly as he starred at the lady from the distance he had been. He was so focused he almost seem like a weirdo. Forgetting that he was in a tree, He leaned a little more on the branch of the tree and slipped off, of the branch. He tends to make simple mistakes when he finds out something he remembers, especially if he's a-bit TO focused on beautiful women.[/size][/blockquote]

[Genshuku]

Well one thing was for sure now, the figure was staring at her. Gen was becoming slightly paranoid about whatever it was now, as being stared at was never a good thing. It also looked like a boy, so the 'perv' thought opened up. If that was the case, he would be getting the flat end of the spear smacked right upside his head.

Or, he could be deep in thought involving her. This also was probably a bad thing, as who knows what they think. It's probably the reason he fell off the branch. Certainly, he was looking at her. But why so keenly? Well, first thing's first: Who is he?

"Um...who are you?"

She said it in a voice that sounded slightly weirded out. Which, she was. Of course, she knew that some demon might be able to play the 'I'm 'hurt' now come closer so I can shove my hand through your gut' tactic, so she was still wary.

Elsewhere, something else was present. Something that decided to watch this for a while for kicks, and had a good enough night vision to watch from far away. Something that could best be summed up as a part-time bastard. She was pretty far away, but the aura reading would be like a yin-yang symbol, only the black part was bigger.

The fall wasn't as pleasant at all, as a matter of fact he wasn't even planning to fall. Herugomi was so focused on the girl that had been standing pretty far away from him, that he had lost his focus in balancing on the tree branch. Was he being a pervert? no, Herugomi was just shocked of the shape of the aura and how much it resemble the aura long ago that had surrounded the full moon. Standing up from the ground, Heru heard words that came from the lady "Um...who are you?". Her voice sounded as though she was weirded out, once he heard those words he just shook his head slowly from left to right. Herugomi wasn't planning on answering the girl, but he also wasn't planning on ignoring the fact that she might be the same person/thing that saved him long ago. Standing there silently, he focused his attention back on the girl.

"Who am I you ask?" He said calmly. His voice was very deep, but than very smooth. It wasn't as scary as most other monsters. But if you were to hear his voice and see nothing in eye-site it would be pretty freaky. Herugomi stretched out his crow wings just the check if they were useful just-in-case. He kept a straight face, and was pretty calm. Herugomi took a few steps forward to wards the girl as he began to speak. "You don't remember me?" He asked her, as if she knew him from somewhere.

Herugomi wasn't quite sure if the lady knew him or not, all he wanted to know was some answers. Even though he's never seen this girl before in-his-life, he feels as though he's known her for a long time. Herugomi stopped walking as soon as he thought he was close enough to get a clearer view of the girl.

[Genshuku]

His first 'question' wasn't really a question, and so didn't really need an answer. His second one was a question, and she really had no idea who this guy was.

"Actually, no, I don't. Why would you?"

He started to advance. It was hard to get details of him, so maybe it was a good thing he came closer. But at the same time, he could go off to a running start and shove his hand in her gut, so it was always nice to be wary.

The lurker was disappointed at Gen's answer. If they knew each other, they would be far more fun to split up.

...Hey, was this guy...hm. The guy seemed familiar to the lurker, but at the same time, he didn't. That may have been because it just didn't care, so yeah. It began to wonder if it was that guy, or some other tengu.

Herugomi narrowed his eyes slightly. He was confused, he wasn't expecting to hear her answer being even close to "no". Thinking for a split second, Herugomi just starred at the girl. He thought about the aura he had seen in the past in the same place he was in right now. The thought of even seeing a girl who resembled the aura was pretty strange to him. For some strange reason Heru really was expecting her to know him. ~Maybe she isn't the same energy that saved me....maybe she is-

[/i]~ Pausing on the thought, he just starred at her. Shifting his golden-yellow eyes away from the female, he stayed quiet. Herugomi was incapable of explaining his emotions to this girl. And he wasn't as social, so he was left speechless.

If this isn't the same energy that had drew him to this particular place, Then what was the energy that did? Why is he in the forest? As much as he wanted to solve those questions in his mind, he couldn't think of any answer for them. It was pretty impossible to find an answer for the questions. At least that's what he thought. Herugomi looked around as the wind blew slightly but yet disturbingly, he listened to the wind as he stood there. "....Is?...." Were the only words that came from his mouth. For some strange reason Heru started to feel as though he wasn't even suppose to be there anymore. He felt as though he was being watched, but was he? was the question. Crow's have good senses of danger; A natural crow was used long ago to warn you if there were danger. That is one of the main reasons why they had existed in the first place.

Herugomi moved his wings back to his side. Deciding to walk to the girl, Herugomi began to looks at her with his eyes brows slightly lowered. "It is dangerous here. You should leave." he said with a normal tone. Not really sure of what the strange feeling might-have-been, he just wanted to hear the response she would give him.[/size][/blockquote]

[Genshuku]

Well he seemed somewhat surprised. At least she was allowed some time to think. Genshuku wasn't very good at dealing with those that were different or odd as those people really had to keep away from Gen...yeah, she never got a good example, but Gen did notice that he was acting oddly.

As for what energy he was actually here for, it could have been that Gen's energy was just that similar. There was also the other side of the equation lurking about, that happened to overhear that 'dangerous' bit.

Danger? Oh, well there was plenty of that in the area.

Gen replied to what he said, as she knew full well it was dangerous out here:

"I'm quite certain I'll b--"

The demon thought this would be a nice time to shoot a quick darkness arrow at Gen, but because Gen was wary this whole time, the arrow simply stopped right next to her.

"--e fine, thank you."

Gen then shot back the arrow from where it came from, but it ended up missing as she had moved somewhere else, actually more into the open. There seemed to be a demonic human about, who once went by the name of Seiun. At least, when she was human anyway. The demon that was currently 'soulmates' with her had an aura that could easily be described as the blackest thing you ever did see. It could very well have been compared to the other, evil energy that had chased Heru that long time ago. Inside that, however, was something that would best be described as white, one of the purest things one would ever see. The black part seemed to be in power though, and that reflected on it's actions, shooting a volley of darkness arrows at both Gen and Heru.

Herugomi stopped in his trails as soon as he heard her reply. Noticing the darkness arrow that had stopped right beside Gen, he starting thinking quickly. It became obvious, if there were such a dark arrow as that one there's got to be a demonic creature out there. Herugomi's first instinct was to jump back so that he did. When he jumped back he ended up beside Gen, he wasn't planning to land right beside her, but I guess it ended up that way. Herugomi thought quickly once again; Standing side by side wouldn't be the best of choices, it would be simply easy to target both of them and slaughter them quickly with one or two arrows. So he jumped way back into a tree that had been there. Having a good grip of his staff that had been underneath his black cloak, he was ready for anything.

"What the hell is that?" He asked himself.

Herugomi wasn't really quite sure what or who shot the arrow, however it sort of disappointed him. Then, a strong dark energy hit him. The energy was just as familiar as that dark creature that was chasing him long ago. Heru was slightly shocked, but than he quickly snapped out of it as soon as he seen multiples of dark arrows heading to-wards both him and Gen. Herugomi swung his staff left to right hitting a few of them before jumping off the tree.

"This is it...my enemy...I will not give up this time."

Herugomi wasn't even thinking at the time, all he knew was that the energy was too close to that monster he was getting chased by long ago. He wanted revenge, even though He wasn't a malicious person. Heru wanted to save the one who he thinks had saved him. He didn't really care if this evil energy was a different type of person or not. All he knew was that There were arrows shooting at him.

[Genshuku]

The tengu ended up jumping next to her, but because this was mid-combat, she didn't really care. He jumped away anyway, so yeah. Gen continued to stop the arrows and fire them back via gravity powers, and also pulled out her crescent moon staff/weapon. It looked heavy, it WAS heavy, but the gravity power she had made it weightless to her.

He did ask himself what the hell it was, what it really was was an innocent girl, possessed by a demon that was the complete and total opposite of innocent. But because he said it, Gen had to answer.

"I don't know, but it isn't a good thing."

Demon-Seiun was in the open by now, being aggressive and all. It was forced to dodge it's own shots, and that got boring after a while. Why not just charge her and...I dun know, shove her hand though Gen's gut? While firing dark arrows at her?

...Great idea.

And so it charged. Being shot at point blank isn't pretty, and the demon knew that someone else was about to feel that pain, either Seiun or Gen, depending on if the shots were redirected. It seems as though Heru gets a break from dodging, but doing nothing would be a bad plan of action.

Gen does end up redirecting the shots fired, but...

And when the dark arrows hit, the good aura that might be able to be detected shook a bit.

Herugomi spread his wings and and quickly flew up to wards the sky. What was he doing? He didn't know his self. As much as he wanted to just strike down on that dark thing(Demon-Seiun) He just couldn't. What was stopping him? Did he really give into fear? Fear wasn't the problem. For some strange reason he got so angry that he had almost forgot that the girl(Gen) was even there. He didn't want to get out of hand and accidentally kill her too. He payed close attention between the battle of the dark energy and the glowing aura as he stayed in the air. Noticing that the girl had made a response to what he said back, he just thought for a moment. He wasn't tending on getting caught up into his thoughts; so he rebuild his focus quickly.

~What has happened?...

The good aura shook a bit. What was that? That can't be the...~

Just seeing that slight shake made him angry. Herugomi pulled his staff to him and then pointed straight down to wards the dark energy. He made his wings go to his side, and strike down to wards the dark energy(Demon-Seuin. As he was in mid-air, his body weight made a glaze of light around his body. Not only because his weight did this, it was also gravities fault.

[Genshuku]

Holy-crap-Gen-was-about-to-get-gutted. Realizing that she somehow did not even so much as flinch from the attack, Gen managed to avoid a direct hit. But though the direct hit was avoided, the attack still landed, hitting Gen's side. (And in response to this, the good aura shook some more, and the evil one seemed to bounce with joy.) This was enough to send Gen back some, along with knocking her down, but Demon-Seiun didn't want to stop there.

...She sadly (for her anyway) had to, however. The tengu had attacked, and Demon-Seiun barely managed to put up a darkness barrier in time. The tengu's attack was slowed dramatically, but if it went all the way, the light aura simply took another beating. The dark one seemed to get darker in response. Something wasn't right. Why was the light aura taking all the attacks?

The reason was simple, the dark aura was using it as a shield for fun. Though this was not completely obvious by looking at it, on close investigation and some sense, it was decipherable.

Gen lay for a while, as that was a powerful punch, and it hurt like hell. She staggered back up though, but only to recover her footing. If she were to attack again like this, it would be suicide.

The demon had to chuckle, regardless if he attempted to pull his weapon away from the barrier or continue driving inside. And chuckle it did. It bordered on slightly maniacal, though not loud.

Almost a direct hit! Herugomi almost made it, however he slightly hit the barrier quite hard and was trying to strike threw it. He wanted to hit that dark creature so bad, he didn't even realize Gen was on the floor. Hearing the strange chuckle, he bounced off the darkness barrier. He didn't get why he bounced off like that(Even though it was quite obvious). Noticing what had happened by simply replaying everything in his mind he shifted his eyes to wards Gen. The dark energy seemed to have been getting darker for some strange reason, Why?Something just didn't seem right at all. Why does the that other girl(Gen) Seem as though she had a bit of damage on her when he attacked the dark creature? Heru thought quickly, he didn't understand. Knowing that he didn't understand the other dark energy was attacking long ago, it was obvious he wasn't going to understand this. It was to confusing, he wanted to just run. However he didn't want to make the same mistake he once did long ago.

He shifted his eyes back to wards the dark creature and stood back in his fighting stands by holding his staff up in front of him " What do you want creature?!" He simply shouted out to wards the Demon-Seiun. He always wanted to know the answer to the reason why it attacked him and now why did it come back to attack both him and Gen? Did he expect the creature to answer? Yes. Although he wasn't sure if it was going to answer or not. That was why his guard was still up.

Herugomi was pissed by this time. He didn't want anything to do with this creature anymore.(Sense he still thinks this creature is the same one that attacked long ago).
