The God Ruled Castle

[Crystal]

Ichigo dashed towards where the castle supposedly was nothing was there but a bunch of glowing trees. Ichigo focused on the trees hoping she'd be able to see through the illusion. After headaches and resting Ichigo caught a glimpse of the castle's moat which stood there innocently. "To rescue Gensokyo, I'll be of service Nya~" sang Ichigo in triumph.

Ichigo walked up to castle. "Mew Mew Strawberry! Metamopho-sis!" she cried. After dazzling pink lights appeared Mew Ichigo stood in Ichigo's place. She didn't bother saying her motto, she just dashed towards the castle in fright.

The door stayed shut. That was one big door, and it was not going to open in the next 5 minutes. Or after that, probably.

But, what was there was a 'currently unable to get a good sleep thanks to someone else' Akkei, who immediately flew down to...

...

God damn it, she just wanted to get sleep, was that so hard to ask?*

So, Akkei flew in front of Mew Ichigo (knowing the alternate identity but not really caring at the moment) as she attempted to fix the illusion. After all, everyone couldn't see through the illusion clear as day like Andrea could, so Akkei had at least a shot at fixing the illusion so no one could see, even if it was just one person. If one continued to focus on it, surely you would get a headache.

On being in front of Mew Ichigo, she spoke, blade not out but at the ready:

"Why are yo--no wait. I know why. But of course, I am the guard, and the castle is not open to you. But I will say this: the person is right when she talks about the end of the world. If you wish to question me, I might answer some of these questions. But there's no way you will get through this door."

She was oddly determined, and lacking the generic evil look that most evil people would show. Really, she wasn't evil at all.

...This is all giving that you can actually see her. You could certainly see the castle, but she is also hiding herself as well. It prevents people from asking random questions. However, this might result in her bumping into Akkei. Of course, her armor would result in a somewhat painful crash into her, and Akkei was not tipping over anytime soon.

*(Yes, because you are a doorguard.)

Hoshigaru watched from just out of sight, amused by what he was seeing. He'd been about to take a nap when a moat had suddenly appeared in the middle of the Forest of Magic. That had to be the sign of a great power at work. Then a young girl ran towards the moat and transformed into what appeared to be a half-breed form using some kind of magic that he didn't recognize. To top that off, the moat had just as suddenly disappeared a short while later and now the girl was being addressed by an invisible voice. Very interesting indeed.

Out of curiosity, Hoshigaru decided to lure out whoever was behind all this by using his power on the general area of the moat. Any being in that area would begin to feel a nagging desire to get out of the girl's way. If anyone familiar was responsible for the strange happenings they would immediately know just what had given them that feeling. Maybe they would come out and fight, which would be fun.

And even if they didn't, he'd be able to follow the girl and see if there was something else besides the moat that was being hidden.

[Crystal]

"If you're not letting me pass then I'M gonna make myself pass!" Mew Ichigo squealed in anger. "OH, by the way, Sutoro Bell Bell!" she cried. A heart shaped object floated in front of Mew Ichigo. She grabbed hold of it them did her I'm-about-to-attack-you pose. Whilst posing, Mew Ichigo heard a rustling in the bushes. She knew that she was gonna have some more company.

Mew Ichigo chewed on her tongue in curiosity. She wanted to dash over to where she heard the noise but she knew she had to stay. This was one tight situation. Her animal instincts could attack her at any moment, causing her to shiver with want. "Let me pass!" Mew Ichig said with one last angry look on her face.

A strange urge attacked Akkei: Why not just get out of her way?

...

Wait, what? Recheck: She didn't want that. But, she did.

"...Gah, who's manipulating my conscious? I'm the illusion master here, you won't be deceiving me anytime soon."

Akkei managed to move her mind a bit, to get it away from this urge. However, the illusion on herself went slightly off as she did so, appearing slightly transparent. The illusion was a subconscious magic, and by moving her conscious mind, it altered it somewhat. But, the castle remained perfectly hidden, thankfully for Akkei. Akkei, being clever, took advantage of this when her mind settled.

"No. I'm the guard. So I will not move out of the door's way, despite someone giving me a nagging urge to that just screwed with my mind."

She made an illusionary copy of herself, one that acted perfectly normally, and invisibly went behind Mew, floating just above the ground so as to not make a noise by walking due to heavy armor. As she was about to use force, Akkei simply waited for her to do so. When she did, it would simply pass by the illusionary copy, as Akkei went by unnoticed by her. Heck, Akkei was thorough enough to make her smell be with her copy and absent from her real self. After all, Akkei remembered that cats could smell quite well.

Akkei was aware of a second presence, but would not investigate it, yet. Why? Well, Ozma said it was a fallacy of most dispensable guards and other grunts to check out the random noise in the distance, and therefore not doing it makes you less dispensable*. It's usually a ploy to distract you, but even if it isn't...

*(Doesn't being a guard make you more dispensable?)

A response! Well, it wasn't really what Hoshigaru had expected and he was unsure if the black armored figure had appeared due to his desire manipulation or if it had just been sent to block the girl's passage. Nothing else had emerged besides the figure, which could either mean that any other beings with it were not responding to his power or that it was alone. At times like this he regretted not taking mind reading lessons from the Satori back before his sealing.

Well, there were other ways of finding things out. He picked up a fist-sized rock nearby and threw it towards the armored figure with the kind of wrist-flick that one might use to skip stones over water. With his massive strength behind it the rock would strike with enough force to smash at least itself if it hit anything.

[Crystal]

"Ribon Strawberry Suprise!" Mew Ichigo screamed the beams went straight to the copy. Mew Ichigo knew this was her chance. She leaped over the guard's head the tumbled onto the ground. Miserably, she triped over in stead of landing on her feet like she should have done. Mew Ichigo attempted to get back on then headed for the door. "Ribon Strawberry Suprise!" pink beams attacked the door trying to knock it down.

Both the beam and the rock passed through the illusion without any harm to Akkei. The girl tried to attack the door, and some people inside heard the banging. The people inside spoke, and it was slightly audible.

"Someone's knocking on the door, should we answer it?"
"...No, looks like a girl scout. We have plenty of cookies in here, thank you."

The next thing they said was quite audible.

"We don't want any!"

The door was holding quite firm, even after the attack.* It was quite the door indeed. Akkei responded to the attack on her copy with a large amount of inward glee, and appeared semi-transparent again, while behind her, and tapped her shoulder with the now drawn oversized blade, followed by a comment.

"Over here."

She seemed to be fooling around with her instead of truly doing her job. Yet again and again, she showed herself capable of ending things with her in a single blade strike. Certainly, if she really wanted to, she could have a catgirl corpse laying around. But this youkai was more of the mischievous type, and continued to fool around.

Again, she noticed the rock, but still managed to hold on to the instruction to not wander off. At least she could follow rules.

Perhaps there was a more subtle way to make Akkei's mind change about that...

*(The door is the best doorguard. Akkei's just there to make sure that people don't manage to cluster and break it down, which is already somewhat impossible to do. The world will never know...)

The rock hadn't done much... well, it hadn't done anything, really. It was the cat-girl who had managed to get a convincing (for Hoshigaru at least) response from whoever was guarding the invisible place. The black armored figure had turned out to be an illusion, which was a bit of a surprise, but then a new and half-transparent figure had appeared behind the cat-girl. This one had to be real.

From the little that Hoshigaru could see of the new figure, it looked similar to the illusion, which could only mean that it was the source of the illusion. It was a smart move, producing a fake while remaining hidden. Revealing itself just to taunt the cat-girl was a bit immature, though, but Hoshigaru knew very well that the powerful had little need for strategy. He decided to wait and see how much more the cat-girl would uncover.

[Crystal]

Mew Ichigo whamed her Sutoro Bell Bell on the stone door several times. Ichigo knew this was a trick. She tried to distract them with her attack then quickly use her cat abilities to destroy (or even budge) the stone door. A defening squeak ws made after Ichigo screamed "Ribon Strawberry Sundae Suprise!" It was a new attack that just bust out. It was stronger than suprise. She had to use THAT to defeat the god.

The door was rigid and it wouldn't budge. Ichigo frowned feeling very ticked off. The door wouldn't move and two gods were going to kill her unless she tried. IChigo angrily sscreamed and another light beam of energy hit tthe door. The attack bounced of the door and rebounded.

The light hit Ichigo but it didn't hurt. Ichigo new it was time to evolve. "Mew Mew Strawberry! Metamophoss Me-gaa!" Ichigo yelled as her costume changed to a darker pink. A ribbon appeared at the side of her costume and her hair changed to long pink cornrow plaits. Golden earings moulded onto her earlobes and her nails were varnishd pink. Ichigo had upgraded to Mew Ichigo Mega.

"Mew, Aqua Gutage!" She screamed as pink bubbles flew directly at towards the gods. This attack was going to do greatly if she'd aim properly. The bubbles went straight towards them as Mega Ichigo waved the Aqua Rod like she'd just been caught on fire.

(I'm delaying posting in one thread and posting in this one due to a 'What An Idiot' moment and the fact that my 'Castle Muse' is high.)
(Though I'll say that Akkei is not a god. Kaosu is, and she's currently not around. Matter of fact, there's only one god in the entire castle. For more explaining, PM me, if you need it.)

Well, the cat-girl had tried to break down the door and failed miserably. There was no way that she was going to break that door down any time soon, not even if she went on a super duper transforming session. What she could do was scratch up the door and make the grunts inside laugh if Akkei is defeated by someone so...how do you say, girly? Akkei was going to do her job, and she was not going to suffer any such consequences of failing it. She had her self-respect to look after here.

Ok, so she transformed, and she was shooting bubbles. What could bubbles possibly do? Really, they're just bubb--

Akkei then found out that even bubbles hurt when they are shot as projectiles. And the sheer amount of bubbles also helped make Akkei stagger a bit before realizing the above fact and acting on it, flying upwards in order to escape the wrath of a catgirl with killer bubbles. She then spoke, sounding quite surprised at first, but becoming serious for her last sentence.

"I will be the first to say this: I didn't see that coming. Bubbles. That HURT. Seriously. Bubbles, hurting. In any case, it's time for a spell card, as I will not be surprised like that again."

After taking a mental not to never underestimate people like this as long as she lived, she vanished again, and pulled out an (invisible) spell card. One could hear her speak the name of it, as it took effect.

" Illusionist's Sign: 'Not Here Nor There But Everywhere' "

About 10 Akkeis appeared in a circle around Ichigo (unlike the real one, these are quite visible, all of them being complete and total duplicates of the real one down to the scent, except for her actual substance, for the most part. But the card had bestowed something upon them, and if these clones slashed her with their blades (exact duplicates of her own, again, not including physical pain), it would...hurt. Not as much as the actual thing, but it would hurt, like being blasted by a thin but long and painful laser. They all started move clockwise around her (via 'just above air' flying of course), and continued to do so increasingly fast as time went by. After about 5 seconds, the clones start to become actual blurs. Here's 10 seconds to react, before she starts to attack you.

So where was the real one? Well, she decided to fly on over to Hoshigaru, the person that had the nerve to throw a rock at her, remaining invisible. Instead of letting him know that she was there before speaking, she did it BY speaking.

"Note to Self: If it's a projectile, no matter what kind it is, avoid it."

And she even remained invisible as she said it. She did speak quietly enough so that Ichigo wouldn't hear, heightened hearing or not. Besides, she was busy dealing with 10 clones. IT seemed that she continued to have her ego with her. Would it be her downfall some day? Probably not. She knew when to smarten up. Like now, for example.

The sudden appearance of the ten new armored figures was an interesting development. The voice that spoke somewhere near Hoshigaru's ear was even more interesting. He considered attempting to attack the unseen entity but the fact that he couldn't smell it or hear its movement either meant that he didn't have any way of directing his attacks. If the entity turned out to be hostile and attacked him first, though, he was confident that his raw animal instincts would enable him to dodge or parry easily enough. They had to, because he had nothing else he could use until he found a way of tracking his potential opponent.

So he decided to chat with the entity. He casually raised his axe and rested it across his shoulders with the blade facing upwards, a position he deemed to be nonthreatening. He turned his face in the direction the voice had come from, smiled gently and spoke in a friendly manner. "Tell me, did I hit anything with that rock?"

[Crystal]

Ichigo turned around in suprise. "Ya-ah!" she moaned as she jumped into the air out of the circle of clones. "I-I'm not sure." she stammered. "All I know is that I have to stop them!" Ichigo turned back to the rock. "Ribbo-n AQUA GUTAGE!" Ichigo screamed. Aimlessly she threw bubbles at the castle. She figured if she couldn't break or budge the door then how about she broke the brick? Ichigo fired some more bubbles at the castle's walls.

"NYA!" she screamed busting her bubbles at an immense speed. The bubbles were packed up like mini bombs that could break almost anything as this was her most powerful attack. "The god shall not destroy Gensokyo!" Ichigo wailed. Ichigo was still in the air waving her Aqua Rod around relentlessly.
