I'm very specific on everything, so this thread is kind of long. At the very least make sure you read the bolded parts. You can probably get away with not reading the rest unless you feel like you need clarification on something.
Below this is the "Warning System." This is what happens if a person's warning reaches x%.
1% - Your custom title is replaced with a warning title. You'll get it back for free once the warning is gone.
5% - You lose your custom color, and you cannot get your custom name color or your custom title back for free.
10% - 3 day temporary ban
20% - 3 day temporary ban
30% - 1 week temporary ban
40% - 1 week temporary ban
50% - banned

OOC rules
1.) No flaming
- Self explanatory. Don't be an ass.
- Poking fun at people is okay, but don't be spiteful. There's really no need for that.
- Death threats or anything of that nature is not tolerated at all.
- In general, just think about how your behavior will affect the other members. Even if you aren't actually flaming.
2.) Don't spam
- Avoid posting one word replies or "XD." Just because it's okay on an IM does not mean that it's okay on a forum.
- Flooding the forum with spam posts pisses me off greatly. For the love of God don't do it. D: It takes forever to clean up and it irritates everyone: not just me.
- Going off-topic on purpose also goes under this (for lack of a better place). I realize sometimes thread topics change based on what's said, so I won't lock topics for that. Here's a nice little example to make things clear:
The thread is discussing cheese. Don't pop in and say, "I like beef jerky." That has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Now if someone said, "Have any of you tried beef jerky in cheese?" then you could say, "I love beef jerky." - Don't double post. If you need to bump your thread you may post again after 12 hours.
3.) Don't revive dead topics for no reason
- It's okay if you actually have something meaningful to say. Just don't post in the cheese topic (again as an example) to say "I love cheese." You can post in it if you have a big discussion planned like, "Did you know recent studies show that eating cheese actually helps your colon?" Yeah, my examples are lame, but you get the idea.
- You can post in a sticky regardless of when the last day it was posted in.
- You can post in any thread on the first page regardless of when the last posted in.
- You can post in any thread that is linked to in a sticky regardless of when it was last posted in.
4.) Don't back-seat mod
- If you see someone breaking the rules PM a staff member. Do not tell them that they are breaking the rules. That's my job.
6.) Follow the Proboards Terms of Service. This includes:
- Keep it PG-13: No porn, nudity, or any other form of adult content.
- Don't promote illegal things.
- Post in English. You can add bits of foreign languages here and there, just remember that this is an English speaking site.
IC rules
1.) Type properly
- Don't use Chat-speak.
- Try to use proper grammar.
- Try to spell things correctly.
- I do not expect you to be perfect; your posts just need to be readable. I do recommend proof-reading your posts for errors though.
2.) No God-moding
- This includes, but is not limited to:
- Making your character all-powerful.
- Making your character invulnerable.
- Dodging every hit.
- Not giving your opponent a chance to dodge (this is Touhou, the entire game is based on dodging ).
- Using Deus Ex Machina to get your characters out of sticky situations. Deus Ex Machina is when you solve all your character's problems (most likely difficult problems) with a clumsy plot device.
- Making your character all-powerful.
- NOTE: I may not do anything unless you complain. So if someone's doing nasty things to your character you don't like make sure you complain.
3.) No Power-playing
- This is when you control another person's character without their permission.
- If you have the other player's permission then obviously controlling their character a little is okay.
- NOTE: I will not do anything unless someone complains. So, if someone is controlling your character, and you don't like it, make sure you complain.
4.) No meta-gaming
- This is when your character knows things simply because you know them with your amazing OOC knowledge. If your character has no logical way of knowing something they shouldn't know it. The end.
- As usual, if someone is meta-gaming please complain.
5.) There is no post minimum or maximum
- I feel the post length should be left up to the person writing it, so post whatever you feel needs to be posted.
- If you do not wish to RP with someone because they don't post enough, or they post too much, just politely tell that person that you would rather RP with someone else.
- If you already know that you do not want to RP with someone that posts more or less than x amount please say so at the top of your post or somewhere it can easily be seen so that those people won't reply to your threads. If there is no note then it is assumed that people of any level can respond to your thread regardless of how much you posted and regardless of how much they decide to post. Again, if you have a problem with this refer to the previous bullet point and everything I've said in this one.
6.) Your character can be in multiple threads at once.
- Try to keep some kind of timeline so things don't get too confusing though. It's fine if this timeline is just in your head, as long as it's clear to you. Remember, just because your character is active in more than one thread does not mean they are in two places at once.
7.) Regarding Thread Titles
- If anyone can join that thread put OPEN somewhere in the title.
- If only certain people can join put their display names or just put PRIVATE in the title.
- When a thread is done put DONE in the title so I can lock it.
Characters and your account
1.) Multiple Characters
- You can play as many OCs as you want.
- You can play as many canon characters as you want, though you NEED to keep them all active.
- If you play a canon you cannot claim another unless you post with every canon you play at least once a week.
- You can either play all your characters on one account, or you can make separate ones for each character. It does not matter to me, so do whatever you are more comfortable with.
2.) Your Display Name
- Can be whatever you want it to be. If you want it to be your nickname make it your nickname. If you want it to be your character's name then make it your character's name. As long as it follows the Proboards Terms of Service then I don't really care what it is.
3.) Characters can die
- With the way the Spell Card/Dueling system works people should rarely die.
- However, that does not mean they can't. If your character dies you can continue playing them as a ghost, or you can make a new one.
4.) No Mary Sues/Gary Stus
- Sorry, your character is not perfect.
5.) OCs cannot have pre-existing relationships with canons
- Your character cannot be related to a canon. The only exception are demons from Makai since they were likely created by Shinki and there's no real way to avoid this without making the entire race unplayable.
- If you would like your character to be friends or enemies with a canon two conditions must be met. First the canon must be played by someone. Second, the person playing that canon must agree to the relationship. Otherwise all relationships must be created though RP.
6.) You cannot use an image of a Touhou character to represent your character's appearance
- I'll make an exception for brohous and any edit that makes it so they are not recognizable as the Touhou that was modified.
- Any other image is fine though.
