Shara decided to follow the girl to the exit of the castle. When they got there, she looked around... It was strangely dark here... She couldn't see any stars or anything, and there was no greenery within sight... Not that she could see that far.
However, she could see some lights in the distance, looking like some sort of city or something... Perhaps that should be their next destination? It seemed like a better idea than just going off randomly into the darkness...
Shara then realized that she didn't know the name of the girl who had led them out. "Thank you for leading us out miss. By the way, what's your name? I'm Shara, and this is Brian."
Brian was no longer afraid... Well, no more than he usually was, he was always a bit jumpy, but he did speak at all. He just stood meekly behind Shara, not quite hiding, but close enough that he could get behind her if there was danger... Which was really the best place for him to fight from, considering that he had powerful magic, and wasn't that great in melee combat anyway.

"My name is Saeryin," Saeryin said. "If you're new to Gensokyo I can tell you everything you need to know. Although, this is the first time I've been underground, so we should go to the lights and see what's there." She never had gotten her jewels, but did it matter now? She had become part of something, and that made her feel...important. And for Saeryin, that was a bad thing. To avoid this, she tried not be in the middle, and she certainly wasn't thinking of forming a trio. All she wanted to do was follow this people and find someplace she could get jewels. She stepped toward the lights. "Come on!" she said.

A head poked it's way from the celing, a familiar blonde hair getting messed up due to being upside down.
"Oh wow, my basement's huge..." She trailed off with a small shaking noise. Flandre looked around confused, before the dirt around her began to crumble away, due to lack of support.
"Uh oh..." After a few clods of dirt fell, the rest came loose, and in a shower of earth and vampire lolis, the Scarlet younger sister came tumbling down to the world below.
---
A few pieces of dirt landed on Shara's head.

"Well, thank you Saeryin, for leading us out." Shara said, "And I agree, heading toward those lights is probably-" Suddenly, she felt something touch her head. She dashed forward to get out of the way of whatever it was, while looking back to see what it was.
She didn't see anything, but Brian was looking up, shaking harder than normal, stuttering, "Wh-What is that?!" Shara looked up, and quickly saw what he was talking about. Was that a girl there?! ...Wait, what were those things on her back?! It didn't matter, she couldn't simply let the girl fall to the ground. She got ready to try and catch the girl, who was coming closer extremely rapidly... Although, would hitting two hands covered in metal really be that much better than the ground?

Saeryin was just about to say something when someone else came tumbling down. "Oh my goodness! Someone else! It's dark! I can't see!" She simply moved to a spot she deemed safe.

Flandre evened out, landing on top of Shara's head and standing there, looking around. "Wow... this place is almost as big as the mansion!"

"Whoa!" Shara was surprised when the falling girl landed on her head... And didn't get off... "Er..." she began, "Would you mind, you know... Standing on the ground instead of the top of my head?"
Shara then noticed the look on Brian's face. He looked like he was having trouble holding in his laughter. And if she could read minds, she would have known that indeed he was. After a few moments though, the amusement passed from his face, replaced by his usual fear. He was rather wary of this new girl who had suddenly fallen down from the "sky" or rather... Well, the ground.

Dark, dark, dark, dark, dark! It was so dark it was driving Saeryin a little more lunatic than usual. She spoke to the girl. "Can you get off of her? I know it's dark, but it's...well...dark." She wished she had some sort of explanation. After all, she knew how children were, clinging to their mothers. She was probably scared. "Don't be afraid of the dark," said Saeryin. "We're the only ones here, and we're not monsters under anyone's bed."

Flandre floated off her head, coming to rest mid-air at a point where her head was slightly above everyone else's - probably to make her feel more important by being taller.
"You want light?" She held up a card which began to shine, transforming into a blazing sword which cast light from it's flame across the area. Flandre smiled. "Now it's not so dark... but with this kind of darkness, vampires like me and Oneesama are at peak power..."

Swimming in underground lakes were always such fun~
Yes, it was dark within the caves and the water was always bit more muddy when compared to the above ground water sources, but it was still swimming regardless. Something the Axolotl youkai, Houjou Gamatatsu took to quite well. Which is rather obvious considering how he's a water-going youkai to begin with. The neotanic youkai happily splashed about in the water, bathing himself in the moisture that actually would help keep him from drying out, which is an amphibian's worst nightmare.
However, there was something strange going on...or rather there was something strange in the air. Houjou paused in bewteen dives and glanced out into the darkness of the underground, the small neotanic gills on the side of his head slowly flexing up and down as Hojou focused his attention on what was so strange in the cavern's atmosphere. After sitting in the underground pond for about several minutes, the axolotl could be certain that he could hear voices in the distance. Albeit, they were faint...
Hojou swam back to the earthy shore of the underground pond, his child-like curiosity now complelling him to investigate as to who else exactly was down here. Hojou always thought the underground was a, as he called it, 'a super secret place that only he knew about', so it would be quite interesting to see who else was in on this little secret...
Of course, as naive as Hojou is, he doesn't realize that the underground was far from secret...but he's a kid, why ruin the fun in knowing you have a secret underground fort?
((You guys don't mind if I pop on in do you?))

((I don't mind. I don't think anyone else will either~))
Shara was surprised when the girl simply floated off of her head and in the air in front of her. "What the-?" Okay, this was officially weird. First kids with cat-ears that can use dark magic, now little girls with weird wing-like stick things with crystals on them floating in the air...
...And then the little girls turning cards into flaming swords. What kind of freaky place had they ended up in? And then the girl said that she was a vampire. She heard Brian squeak slightly behind her, and stutter, "A v-vampire...?"
Brian had good reason to fear vampires. Undead tended to be somewhat resistant, if not completely immune or outright healed by, his magic. And he didn't like getting into melee combat, even if he was somewhat skilled with his naginata.
Shara hoped that the girl wasn't hostile... Depending on just how powerful she was, a fight might not end well for them. They weren't nearly as powerful yet as Drake or Alicia... Though Saeryin's power was unknown... But Shara wouldn't count on her being strong enough to help against a vampire.
She looked at the girl, asking warily, "You say you're a vampire... So are you here for food or something?" Shara was ready to draw her sword at any time, though she made especially sure to not actually appear hostile.

A vampire? Hm. What to do about that? Saeryin had it. Say they were all youkai, because vampire bites only worked on humans. In truth, Saeryin didn't know if the other two were actually youkai or not, but she might as well give it a go. "Hey hun, we're youkai, so we can't be vampires." What else to say? Something that would get the vampire to go away. "There's a lot of humans over there you can turn into vampires if you want," she lied, pointing in a random direction away from the light. She hoped this would work. If not, Shara and Brian might get hurt...good thing Saeryin was clever, although a lunatic.

Flandre sniffed the air, and frowned. "Liar." She said, casually launching a few comet-danmaku at Saeryin. "I own this place!" She exclaimed happily. "It's part of my basement!" The young vampire pointed up into the pitch black of the 'ceiling'.
"My house is right up there! I came down to explore more of my basement, and I found this place~!"

Without much light to guide oneself it would be expected to have a hard time navigating the darkened corridors of the underground. Of course, this was no different for Hojou, if him bumping into a lone stalagmite as of any indication. Were it not for that eerie light and voices then he probably would have wandered right back to where he started.
As the axolotl rounded the next bend, following the source of the light and voices he came upon a small grouping of people conversing with one another. Well, only about 2 looked human enough, the little blonde girl with odd wings was obviously some form of youkai. "What're they doing in my super secret fort...?" Hojou muttered to himself with a slight frown as he curiously peeked from around the wall and observed the group.
Hojou's frown only grew as he heard the young blonde claim that she owned this place, for someone like Hojou this was just like saying 'Oh hi, I'm stealing your secret base from you, haha~!'. Needless to say, he wasn't all that happy about her words and soon found that he was ready to reclaim his fort rather than just curiously observe these folks from afar. This must be resolved, Hojou wasn't about to let his secret base be stolen from him when he had just found it recently!
Hojou took in a deep breath as he stepped from behind the wall and approached the group from the darkness, his child-like frame slowly becoming visible to those who will see it. However he halted in his tracks as he saw the blonde vampire abruptly fire off comet like bullets toward the other woman. He thought they were all friends here...apparently not...

Shara had no idea what youkai were, or why Saeryin would think that the vampire would believe that all of them were such a thing... However, she was startled when the vampire girl appeared to launch some kind of attack at Saeryin.
Shara didn't draw her sword yet, just in case the vampire wasn't planning on seriously fighting. Hopefully she wouldn't do any more than she already had, but Shara was quite prepared to draw her own sword in an instant.
The girl said that they were in her basement, and she was just exploring. Shara raised an eyebrow, and asked, clearly with some doubt, "You have a full-sized castle in your basement? I can hardly imagine how big your house must be in that case."
She heard Brian still whimpering behind her, but she knew she probably couldn't do much to comfort him. But she would protect him if there ended up being a fight... She could do that much...
