Reimu nodded. "Just a sec." She headed inside, filling up the shrine's clensing washbin, and brought it out to him. "Use this. The power of the gods should be able to purify any poison from tainting the bin itself."
She smiled at Kenare as she heard her put money in the donation box. "Thank you for coming! Feel free to visit whenever you want!"

Well, that was easy. And Kenare had actually made friends with Reimu, the youkai-hater. Well, she was sure it would remain unscathed as long as she put up the pretense of being human. If she ever ran into Reimu again with obvious rabbit features, she didn't know what she'd do, but for now it was a good day.
(OOC: Kenare has left the thread. I will be continuing her story in the Bamboo Forest if you want to follow her.)

Percival nodded, and quickly washed his hands, as well as quill and gloves. "My thanks for providing this, Madam. Shall we move inside the shrine for our talk?" Percival queried, nodding towards the structure. His note book was once more open, and his quill was posed to write.

Reimu gave him a look. "...madam? Do I look like some kind of old lady to you?" She said, as she headed inside.

Walking behind her, Percival quickly apologized. "I really did mean to offend, rather, I meant to convey the depth of respect I have for you." Percival, however, then chose to write a note not to mention something that makes her sound older than her age around her.

She nodded, motioning for him to sit down at a kotatsu. "Thanks for trying, but I'm really no one special. I just do my job." Reimu then headed off, starting to make tea, and came back a bit later, passing him a cup and sitting down, herself.

"Thank you, then Madam." Percival stated, as he gratefully accepted the tea. "Shall we begin?" He uttered, as he put quill to notebook and waited.

She took a sip, and then nodded. "Sure. You wanted to know about the shrine? Like, what kind of things were you wanting to hear about?" Reimu asked, feeling a lot more hospitable than normal because this guest wasn't being rude and causing trouble.

"Oh, anything is alright. History and architectural structuring would be quite enjoyable, though. Still, I wouldn't dream of imposing on your good will for too long" Percival stated.

Reimu thought for a second. "Well, I really don't know much about the structure of the shrine. I wasn't the one who rebuilt it after the earthquake that Tenshi caused. As for history... I believe the shrine has been here since the beginning of Gensokyo, and that my clan has been in charge of it and maintaining both peace and the border that Yukari Yakumo created since then." She explained.
"We also help outsiders lost in Gensokyo get back to their own world, as well as various other things. However, all of our tasks are very circumstantial things, so I work less than most people would, but when I go to work I can even find myself away from the shrine for a few days."

"I see, that's rather good to know." Percival stated, jotting the information inside his notebook. "In so far as your duties, you're aware of the rumors, yes? Some person named Kaosu has set up a Castle inside the... Forest of Magic I believe. They're stating they'll destroy the world unless they're defeated. Your thoughts?" Percival queried.

She frowned. "I haven't heard that one. Do you have a credible source on that, or is it just more of that Bunbunmaru garbage?" Reimu said, her mood suddenly becoming serious.
"Either way, I'll know it's an incident if Marisa shows up soon, and has heard about it too."

"I've heard it from a few sources. Last one was from the Human Village. Seems to be quite legitimate, as I believe I saw a group heading out as I left" Percival stated, his quill still moving as he finished recording the earlier information.

"Then Marisa should be here any moment for us to go do something about it, like always." Reimu said. "Because for some reason, things never really happen until we head out together."

"Oh, Madam. Forgive me if this is perchance too personal. May I query why you are the only one within this shrine?" Percival asked.
