The maker of the ice storm continued to battle it out with Genshuku, (who had regained her focus, and held the machine down again, just in time, and was also using her power to make her dodging easier on her) ignoring Aya as she continued to battle it out. The ground was due to freeze again, soon to create yet another thick wave of danmaku, probably thicker than the last. Gen kept on hammering away at her though, so the spell card should break eventually. Inside the machine: Well it looked like hell stopped freezing over, but Zi knew the whole thing was not over (lack of explosions). She noticed a human-bird thing (what's a tengu) that seemed to make wind with a fan and was really fast, but what would it do? Zi curiously looked at her from afar (not blocking the way inside, but still in front of the way in), wondering if she would make it to some form of a power source before she got to 0%. (Unknowing that Aya was thinking about coming in.) Somewhere else: (( : No one even knows this place exists, besides the people inside...Of course, that's intentional. I wonder if anyone can see though it anyway? That would be a problem...)) (I noticed the shortness, I just hope it makes sense for a 2:27 AM post )

She was being ignored? Aya just sat down and breathed for a moment. That was until the ice started to form on the ground again. Great. Well, if she was being ignored then the person firing off the big lasers shouldn't even notice her enter the machine right? From there she might even be able to get a couple of shots out.
Aya crawled into the machine as quietly and quickly as she could. The ground began to freeze again, but it didn't seem to cover up the large hole she made in it earlier. For the first time this fight she was actually able to look around a little bit. The poor little fire fairy didn't seem to be doing well, but that was to be expected. There was also another person running around. She appeared to be what attracted the attention of the person with the cannons. The person seemed odly familiar, but Aya couldn't quite remember the name. For some reason just thinking about it made her ears ring.
Then she started to look inside of the machine. Maybe she could find whatever was driving this thing? Well, she found something pretty quickly. She nearly jumped when she say this fairy-like thing inside of the machine already. Was this what was driving it? Geez, what's with all these fairies suddenly becoming somewhat intelligent?
"Um...Hello..." she said to the fairy. She readied her fan just in case she needed it.

Inside the machine:
Aya had flew inside, and Zi was mildly surprised at how fast she did it. Aya then said hello, and Zi attempted to reply: "Zi" and the most cheerful voice she could muster at her dangerously low energy level, and promptly figured out she was the only person that understood herself, and was slightly embarrassed at that. She knew that hello was a greeting now, and said "...Hel-lo" in a slightly broken voice that was slightly less cheerful due to her slightly embarrassing moment. This person probably had business with the other person in here, and so motioned to the knocked-out ex-pilot of the machine, dressed in almost the same clothes as most of the other faeries.
Outisde the machine, to put it simply, the battle was still waging.
(Not much else to put there, plus I gotta leave for my brother)

What the heck did "zi" mean? Aya just blinked as she thought of what it could possibly mean. It didn't look like it was going to attack her at least. She wouldn't let her guard down, but she really didn't want to fight this fairy if she didn't have to. She's battled enough fairies for one year. Upon closer inspection it almost looked like this fairy was trying to show her something. Aya was somewhat hesitant to look away, but eventually did. Of course, she made sure to watch the fairy out of the corner of her eye.
There was someone laying near a large dent in the machine. That must have been where her feet got stuck. Needless to say the person didn't look particularly concious. However, it was wearing the same kind of clothing as the other fairies. In other words it was probably just a useless pawn. Figures. She went through all that trouble to open up this thing and there was nothing particularly useful in it. What did it matter. Aya decided that she was going to get something for all that. The piolit and the fairy would be coming with her when this spell card was done.
"When this spell card breaks would you mind answering some questions for me?" she turned back to the fairy. Again, she really didn't want to fight this thing if she could avoid it. Might as well try to be diplomatic.

Zi couldn't exactly respond to that question of questions, mainly because she couldn't speak right, so she didn't respond to it, of lack of anything else to say that would be understood. She had almost muttered 3%, but managed to restrain herself. It was becoming obvious that she was not going to make it back to a normal state, normally. She would be able to talk, if she had this thing called a vocabulary. What a shame...and what an inquisitive bird-like human thing. Zi wonders why the programmer didn't finish installing the language...
Outside the machine:
Gen was almost done with breaking the spell card, and a nap after all this is high on her priority list. Just a few more hits...
The leader mumbles to herself (I have to lengthen the post, tis in my blood >.>) "Where did....that......How like me to lose the location of my targets. Sigh....."

Aya couldn't help but mentally smack herself for attempting to interview a fairy. She couldn't say for sure, but there was a chance that "zi" was the only thing she could say. Well, that and she seemed to be able to parrot sounds just fine. It certainly didn't seem unlikely, esspecially since she didn't answer. Most fairies she talked to at least answered her when she said something anyway.
"Ugh, never mind. Though I will be taking that," she pointed to the unconcious piolit. "Are you able to talk?" she figured she might as well ask. If it said nothing or "zi" then it probably couldn't. If it said yes then it probably could at least a little bit.
Not bothering to wait for the fairy to answer, Aya peeked out of the hole of the machine again. She attempted to remain hidden as best she could, but made sure she could see the battle field somewhat decently as well. The battle was still raging onwards. Geez this was annoying. She decided that she should help the weird human-like thing and Honoo at least a little bit. Tengu had very good eye-sight, so she tried to find the person with the cannons. It was hard to see, but she thought that she could see where the beams were coming from. That didn't mean that's where the caster was as well, but it was the only thing she had to go on right now. She fired off one powerful blast towards the source of the cannons. Hopefully it would hit, it was rather difficult to aim at this distence.

Genshuku was almost done when a blast from a hole in the machine (that she didn't need to hold down, matter of fact it stopped struggling, I think it was too much) came in the enemy's general direction. It seemingly missed, and the leader turned around in that direction, having found Aya again, and was about to shoot when the blast came back to hit her right in the back of the head, because Genshuku couldn't let that attack go to waste, and so redirected it there. That finally did it, cue the dramatic explosions, followed by all the ice vanishing, and the leader crashing back to earth. (still conscious, but tired enough to come crashing down) Zi had responded to Aya's question with her version of no, "Zi." When the ice vanished, she was rather happy that this crazy storm was over, but continued to worry about her power supply, being as low as it is. (Aya has interviewed a fairy before though, just thought I would note that. I hope the post is complete enough, because I have some sort of mind barrier at the moment because it's 2:40 AM right now )

((Yep, twice. And both times she got annoyed. )) Aya just sighed when the fairy responded. Most fairies she had seen could talk at least, so she was rather dissapointed when this one couldn't. Could it at least understand her? It was rather difficult for her to tell, so she would just assume it couldn't for now. Better safe than sorry after all. It didn't seem to mind that she intended to take the piolet, but if that was only because she didn't know she was going to interrogate the piolet then she might still have to fight it much to her displeasure. Then she heard a loud popping sound. Did her shot it? Regardless it looked like the spell card broke and she could finally leave this machine. Aya went over, picked up the piolet and walked out of it. Now it was time to find whoever casted that spell card. Well that and make sure Honoo and the other person was okay. Obviously the former latter was more important, so it should be checked first. "This person seemed to be driving the machine over there," she told Honoo and the human as she approached them. "I have some questions for her when she finally wakes up. Are both of you alright?" she didn't sound at all annoyed, even though she was. "Where do you think the person that we just defeated landed anyway?"

((Technician: We lost the signal from the mecha...what am I going to tell her when she comes back.....well I don't want to get on her bad side, no one likes her bad side...))
Honoo was happy to hear anyone asking if she was doing alright (she was on the border of alright and not alright anyway) so she replied "Yeah, I'm alright, thanks to you and...this other person." Genshuku hadn't introduced herself to this fairy yet (between then and now, she learned basics, it seemed like a fairy) and therefore replies to Honoo "My name is Genshuku, but you can just call me Gen." She then followed by answering Aya's questions, "I'm fine, and the person landed....over there." And she pointed where, it wasn't too far away. The defeated person then slowly got up and spoke. "So I heard most tengu were reporters? Ask away." No one noticed Zi inside the mech, and Zi figured that she would stay a while now that the real trouble (besides the power problem) had passed, that and she didn't want some more misunderstandings. The pilot was also still knocked out.

Okay, obligations were done. They both seemed to be okay, so she could focus on the person they just finished fighting. Though, before she did that she pondered about where she remembered Genshuku's name from. Then it came to her. Gen was that human stuck inside of that torture chamber south of the Hakurei Shrine! That certainly explained why Aya's head started ringing when she thought about it.
Aya turned to look for the person they just defeated, but it seemed like she didn't need to. The person just showed herself. Aya set the piolet of the machine on the ground next to her feet and proceded to question the much more concious person.
"Ah yes, yes. Are you the leader, or are you working for someone?" Aya needed to know that first since the answer would vastly change any future questions she might ask.

(Lots of talking, pay attention)
The (Squadron) leader says: "I am working for someone, and I know enough about the motive of this said person. This someone is not from this world, or the moon, or any other place you wouldn't be able to think of. I don't know her name, but I know her motives. You would love to know those, so I'll just say what I know now. Why she's attacking Honoo is in order to absorb her highly unstable power. Of course, that's not her main goal."
Honoo overhears the highly unstable power part and asks her own question: "And that highly unstable power part is?"
Of course, she would want to know. She has the power after all. "Earlier in your life, you found a fiery stone of unspeakable power. You absorbed it, and proceeded to go mad. That power was sealed inside you so you wouldn't be crazy anymore. The side effect was amnesia. Anyway, her main goal is simple: The destruction of this world, Gensokyo. Preferably as they fight back. And why that is is pretty simple: She's the only God of Chaos, which put simply is conflict. She LOVES conflict, and therefore likes to destroy things. Worlds are things. At least to her anyway."
"Also, I know so much because she knew so much. Oh, and I'm a traitor now, so I won't be going back anytime soon. Count on it. And I was attacking you earlier thanks to small amounts of mind-control. It wore off mid-battle, but I continued fighting anyway."

Aya couldn't quite comprehend why someone would attempt to destroy their own world. After all, wouldn't that kill themself as well? That mind control thing sounded...Well rather frightening. She never thought that anyone could have such a frightening ability.
"What exactly does she want to do when she says 'destroy Genokyo'? Does she mean kill all the people and make the land uninhabitable, or did she just want to destroy the Hakurei Border?"
Was it even possible for even a god to destroy the border? Aya was under the impression that only someone that could manipulate boundries, like Yukari, could do that. Then again, there was a rumor that there were some youkai that were trying to breech the border. It seemed unlikely that weak youkai (or at least they were weak according to the rumor) could actually break such a powerful boundry, but it seemed to fit in with this person's story.
Regardless, Aya was a bit worried. It had the potential to be an interesting story, but it seemed like she was going to have to write about death if she continued to investigate this. She really didn't like writing about wars and death. She already found herself losing intrest in this story because of that.

"She would probably destroy both Gensokyo and the Hakurei Border, and probably the other side of it too, so choice 1...but I don't think she found out what that was yet. Didn't I say she was not from here? Her power is enough to rend the space-time continuum,* which to say is what separates fantasies and dreams from other ones, and so forth, at least that's how she explains it. She says every world in every place in the entire universe is but a dream to some reality, and she plans on going there too. A scary thought....I was rambling wasn't I? Short version: If she isn't stopped, everyone is going to die. That's no fun for anyone. And yes, I hear about things like immortals, she has her own plans for them. That's a scary thought..."
"...I AM from here, I just don't go out. At all. I hear about rumors, and yeah, the Hakurei Border could very well be effected by the rift she made to get here...oh, she probably has a hidden base somewhere here. Sadly I don't know where that would be...but it's probably being hidden somehow."
Gen and Honoo seem to be interested, and even Zi is poking her head out to listen to this.
*That's her power, the ability to alter the space-time continuum. Mind Control is probably handled by second-in-command.

Well, that wouldn't be interesting to write about at all. If this person just wanted to take over Gensokyo, then Aya might care still, but writing about death really wasn't her style. The chances of her even bothering to look into this anymore were slim. It was such a shame too. This story seemed so interesting at first.
"Oh, I see. We should contact the shrine maiden. It's her job to deal with things like this," Aya yawned.
Reimu had a tendancy to be rather lazy, but she always seemed to do something whenever there was a crisis. Aya was too busy to be bothered to solve this. After all, it's not like she'd get a story out of it.

What a lazy reporter.
Quite possibly the end of the world, and it's 'oh, let the shrine maiden take care of it'. Hell. Based on how she fought...and being a reporter...my my. Well, thinking hard enough, she realized that she had beat a squadron, and her boss probably knows that she knows that the groups are organized. This wouldn't be good for her, so she would probably make sure Aya wasn't going to say a word...and if she finds out gods live on her mountain...well, it was certainly going to be a problem for Aya and if the mountain was taken by force...that would suck for all of Gensokyo. Gods can be moved out of their home dimension, causing some sort of problem. Or they can be used as puppets to make it look like nothing happened, thus stealing away Gensokyo silently. That and there would be NO FREAKING WAY that Reimu alone would be able to handle her, or Yukari, or even both at the same time or something. It would take a lot of people. And we already had one, but she was being lazy.
And not watching your back is bad in a strategic 'game', which is how the god treated this world.
"Well, consider this: Even if you don't write, be sure to tell people. Or, you will eventually be called out on not saying anything. And people will find out on their own, later. Plus, Reimu would probably not be able to get through the front door anyway. And because I love rumors enough to know she did a lot of things: I can confirm that Reimu would not get though the front door. Oh, and she will probably stalk you. You won't have a moments rest. And one last thing: She has a pet. And that pet has the ability to nullify omnipotent powers like border manipulation, instant death, so on and so forth. Yukari wouldn't be able to do this alone either. At the very least: Find out how someone can see though the illusion that hides the base."
"...lazy..."
She sighs. She had already done her work by exposing her plans early, now some other people need to overtake the base. And the first person she sees is lazy. Go figure.
((Mysterious Figure: Well, that was pathetically easy. Now, where to put her...of course, next to her maid. I'll put them....right here. Make them attack intruders. Thanks. ....It's always weird when I have to talk out loud to speak back when you speak with telepathy. Ho hum.))
((Mysterious Figure: Hm....Something isn't right. Did both(counting the machine and the pilot as the same) of their teleporters break or something? I might have to check. Keep watch, things might be getting interesting now.))
