Gen caught Karada talking to himself. Now what was he trying to do, anyway? The next statement answered that well enough. He simply wanted to cross the border. A demon on the other side...well, the demon would probably end up dead, but letting him get though would be a bad idea.
"No, it's nicer here. Though there may be demons every which way, some being out for your blood and such, it's still nicer than the boring existence out there."
...The other guy was rude. But being from the outside world, it was to be expected. After all, it was the outside world, and he was just sent to here from whatever life he had before.
"Because we are where we are, and this world is smaller than the one out there. Which is nice. And my name is Genshuku, from the world that you are from."
Gen was trying to keep her cool. She was good at that, having put up with people all her life minus her leaving and winding up here. The next thing he said made Gen wonder if he knew what he was doing.
"And how do you plan on getting back? That would be the first thing to ask, giving that you can't get back the way you came."
Which was obviously true.
(Rika, elsewhere: And now with Evil Eye Sigma in tow, I must...ack, how do you work this thing...the whole thing is pretty much wrecked, but I can make it work. I'm Rika after all~ Hohoho...)

Lash turned up his head in annoyance, “Oh yeah, this place is great! I dodn’t see why anybody would ever want to leave this place.” he said dryly, “Please, I don’t take anything as it is and I don’t just accept it when bad things happen.”
Lash knew that if he had some how stumbled his way into this odd world there had to be a way back. It wasn’t like it was hard to get here and Lash didn’t believe in chance. If it was true that this board was somehow damaged he didn’t see any reason it would be harder to go through it again. It was a protal, not a turnstile on a subway.
Lash turned back towards Karada and cringed at the words Lord Ozma, “Yeah, I apparently left civilization and my sanity behind and I’d lover to get it back. This lord--uh Ozzy, she gunna be able to help?”

Eh, weird necklace. Looked about as evil as he did though. Gen wondered who this Ozma person was, but that was probably not important. What was important is that this guy was just like the people back at home: A loudmouthed brat. Ho hum. Run away from his problems, eh? Really, he should stay awhile. For being ignorant and an ass, this was a punishment that was probably well deserved.
"Better learn. It's going to take more than a promise from a shady looking probably demon person to get you back home. The Hakurei Border is a strong one."
And if it was weakening, Yukari could fix it right up. Well, if she wasn't lazy. Gen didn't know that though, but the border was still tough regardless. No one's heard of a youkai getting though before (barring Yukari), especially in recent times. It was a wonder Gen managed to get in too.
Oh, and civilization quite frankly sucked. Civilization was full of the thing called corruption, and in huge quantities, along with gang violence, poverty, and so much more. Here, you just have to make sure the demons don't gut you. And that was probably easier to do than trying to avoid someone with a gun.
"Civilization can go to hell for all I care. If anything, it would give someone INsanity. Which you seem to be showing, if only a little."
It should be mentioned that there was a crescent moon spear on Gen's back, and she herself looked fragile enough to wonder how she as actually keeping the thing on her back. She was certainly not staggering from it's weight, which for someone like her, was rather odd.
And though no one could tell, she had a new bag of knives hidden in her dress. Well, fending off those hunters had it's own reward, didn't it?
(Rika: And a few modifications here...Haha~ Now let's see what this outside world is all about.)
Elsewhere, a certain 'torture chamber' vanished from the map. Rika was exploring the outside world. It seemed like a different one however. Not quite normal, as it certainly had enough danmaku to keep her occupied.
(Rika: Did I get the coordinates wrong, or is this place not exactly what I think it is? *sweatdrop*)

Lash looked over his shoulder at Karada, “Demon sounds a lot cooler then nekomata. If I was you I’d stick with demon.”
Turning towards Gen, Lash couldn’t help but wonder why she held such detainment for earth and preferred this world more. It was true that there was greed, corruption, and hatred but there where some redeeming qualities of man. Good and bad usually evened themselves out in the end anyways so Lash never really thought much of it. Regardless of what she thought of earth it didn’t matter to him. At the end of the day when he is back in his town all these people will be gone.
“Yeah well if this boarder is so strong then I wouldn't be in this god forsaken place now would I?" said Lash from the corner of his mouth, "Besides, what do I care if this guy is truthful or not. So long as me getting home is truthful I don't care what he does. Humans have a way of killing things that don't belong espically if they look like him. Dead is a universal language."

Nekomata...Neko meant cat or something...cat demon.
"Eh, close enough. Besides, demon does sound better."
That was certainly an arrow though species pride. Ouch. As for what Lash was thinking, Gen would have replied to that by simply saying that the redeeming qualities of man were far easier to find here than there. But she wasn't a mind reader, so responding to those thoughts was impossible. What was possible to answer was that he certainly didn't want to be here, and thought that the border was not as strong as it really was. Of course, this means he was brought here 100% against his will. Such things were usually Yukari's doing. He's screwed.
"Because most likely, someone in this world wanted you here. Chances are, if the person wanted you here, then they probably want you to stay. That probably means that even if you manage to get out, you'll be back. And the demon (oh how she loved emphasis on that) will probably end up with a shotgun to the face. Speaking of which, why would the demon want to come anyway, seeing as it will get a shotgun to the face? Picking the odd one out comes before picking each other out, anyway. Besides, why are you trusting random shady looking characters anyway? It could be lying."
Well, that was long. Gen certainly knew that picking the odd one out was always more important then screwing with each other, she was a victim of it herself for her entire life.
(Rika: Yeah...note to self: never mess with machines that cross time and space. EVER. Wait...perhaps I could kill Reimu before she was born? ...No. Let's not screw with the past. Heaven forbid, I step on a butterfly and all the sudden 6,000,000 people end up dead.)

karada hissed when they both killed him a demon "demons are thoughtless brutes....we nekomata are above and beyond that...but im sure you human wouldn't understand that" karada turned around "seeing as both of you insulted me i'll be on my way...looks like you stuck here rash" karada ran off

Lash watched as Karada scampered off, “Yeah well you’re right I wouldn’t understand. Oh and this is me being nice. You haven’t even seen be insult you!” he yelled then turned to Gen, “I didn’t like him anyways. So it’s just you now huh? Well at least you’re human--I think. Then again you don’t seem all that helpful.”
In some ways Lash was slightly relieved that he was with another human being and in others he was still with someone he knew nothing about and who was still weird. Even so he could feel himself relax for a moment. Even if she wasn’t going to help him out at the very least he might be able to find out a little bit more of where he was and if he was lucky, the direction of the nearest town.
“Sooooo, this place some kind of weird alternate world crawling with freaks like that guy huh? And I’m guessing they get a lot worse then him.”

The cat demon left. Well, that made things far more easier, especially since he actually agreed that he didn't really like him. He was still a brat, but he just became more agreeable.
"Agreed, he sounds just like a conman. And unless someone is watching us that we don't know about, yeah, just us. And yeah, I'm human."
She was never quite sure about that, but it's probably because she felt like an alien all her life. She might actually be one, but she certainly didn't know that. If she showed doubt about it, so would he.
"And I'm helpful, I just don't see why leaving is a good thing."
And that was the truth, besides all the demons...perhaps more explaining was in order.
"This world is like that, matter of fact it reminds me of Feudal Japan, only with all the legends included. They can get worse than him, but they can also get nicer. For the ones like him, you are certainly allowed to beat the crap out of them. It's fun, at least to me anyway."
Now where was she getting that idea? She did have a spear on her back (and no one knew about the knife pocket, but she had that too), but beating up demons? She simply looked too...fragile or something to do that.

Lash nearly pulled his hair out of his head, “FEUDAL JAPAN?!” he roared, “As in swords and, and samurai, and like oriental clothing. As in zero technology?!”
Lash began to rock back and forth like a schizophrenic off his medication. It was even worse then he had thought. Sure monsters and demons were one thing but the absence of technology? That was something Lash just could not do without. Motorcycles, T.V, air conditioning, even electricity; this place didn’t have any of it. It was like being sent into the past but a hundred times worse. All the things he loved were now reduced to primitive bows and spears.
Lash clutched his head, “Oh man, I think I’m gunna have a stroke. What do you mean why do I want to leave? If this place is like feudal Japan why the hell would I want to be here? There isn’t any technology! No cars, no computers, hell there isn’t even any toilets for all I know!”

Whoa. Sure, that was a loss, but he was certainly over-reacting. If he was more calm, he would probably fit in best with the kappa. Gen knew who the kappa were, as she had asked about it when she heard that they were developing a new energy source. It was a rumor, but she ended up learning that there was certainly enough technology to keep him from becoming a complete psycho. Oh, and there was the random robot attack by someone Gen certainly didn't know, but that was certainly not going to be talked about. What was going to be talked about was that there certainly was technology around, just that it wasn't as good (and not mention the kappa, as they were a peaceful folk, and letting him near them would be a bad, BAD idea).
"Actually, there is SOME technology. There is certainly toilets, but you really don't need cars, as it's smaller than the outside world anyway, not to mention there is a lack of roads. And as for the computers...well, that is a problem. It's a shame there's no computers, though."
Well, she partly agreed with all that.
(Rika: So much battleships...fufufu, I'm going to have so much fun when I get back home. And Reimu will finally know the meaning of terror~)

Lash held his head in frustration, “You really don’t get it do you? You honestly cannot understand the problem that I don’t belong here! This isn’t my world, my home, or my environment. I do not know the culture, the social norms, what behavior is acceptable and what is not, the implications of my actions, none of what allows me to do what I want and need.”
Lash might have been overly angry, brash, and downright rude but one thing he wasn’t was stupid. There was a huge difference between breaking rules and manipulating them to what he wanted them to do. To look outside the box and past the brick wall of normality enabled him to live a non-normal life but not be socially outcast because of his deviant behavior. In this new world he knew nothing, not even the most basic of social behavior. It was like going to a knew school in where he knew nobody and didn’t even speak the same language.
“Without even this most basic knowledge I cannot even communicate properly let alone bend the rules to my advantage. A person cannot go very far without knowing where they are and who is around them. I may be a prick but I’m not a damn moron.”

Well, he better learn. Not like he was getting out anyway. Besides, he learned the last time, didn't he?
"Better learn. I would teach you some of these things, but I don't know enough yet. I'll learn, and you will too."
After all, the people here already lived abnormal lives (by his definition anyway) and weren't an outcast. Heck, by his definition EVERYONE here was some type of outcast. He better learn how to change his definition.
...Was that Drevin? Looked like he was sneaking up on him, and based on what he just said about the rules (which if any happened to be broken, would probably result in massive pain on his part) deserved whatever was coming to him. The smack was met with inward glee on Gen's part (and thankfully, it stayed inward), and then spoke:
"Best work on that communicating part, but if you try to bend rules, you'll probably end up dead."
Drevin then turned and spoke, and so Gen replied:
"Not that long of a time, but hey anyway Drevin~"
If that guy thought that he could go around and talk to people like this, then he would probably end up dead within the week, if not day.
