(Marisa was gone. Was she ever there?)

The red one responded to his joke, obviously displeased.

"We aren't a joke!* We're the Prism Rangers!**"

He then readied himself for battle, as the man made the first attack. They saw some sort of projectile coming, and blocked it with...knives, which they took out of the pouch that they all seemed to have, 2 for each. Then they all shouted in unison:

"Combination Attack! Justice Airstrike!"***

They all then jumped into the air, and pulled a bomb from...the pouch. One could only wonder HOW, as the bombs were only slightly smaller than they were.**** And then, they threw them (again in unison, at the same time). The red one aimed for Tanis, while the others threw bombs in places near him, as he would certainly dodge the one aimed at him, but he could accidentally get in another one's path.

...

For what they were, they were surprisingly good. Of course, that's because they outnumber you 7 to 1.

tanis whipped his sword around his head sending a sonic shockwave in all directionssending the bambs flying away from him
then he aimmed his hand at the red one, cliche groups like this tend to make red their leader, and snapped his fingers sending a high frequancy cutter wave at the reddy

Indeed, these kinds of groups indeed DO make the red one the leader. It is tradition.

In any case, he sent the bombs flying. Luckily for the penguin squad, the bombs didn't fly towards THEM.

The green one realized what he was using, being the smartest/nerdiest one in the group. But the knowledge of what it was wasn't going to help them. The red one blocked the high frequency wave with his knives (they didn't break, oddly enough)* spoke instead, the first sentence to Tanis and the second one.

"Not bad, and you aren't even a demon! Guys, just because he's not a demon doesn't mean we can go easy on this kid! FORMATION V!"

They then all landed on the ground, and got into a V formation, the tip being the one furthest away (and also the red one), while the other ones were lined up according to how they were before the jump. The red one spoke again.

"And AGAIN!"

They then jumped, and the front two threw a bomb at Tanis, but the bombs moved slowly. The next two then threw bombs, but faster, they would probably arrive before the other bombs did. Then the two behind them threw their bombs, and these moved really really quickly, arriving before those bombs would make it. And then the red one threw a bomb, but this one was colored red, and went at a speed that was completely insane, arriving before every other bomb with time to spare. And it's explosion was stronger too.**

*(Boss equipment doesn't break that easily, dood.)

again with the bombs?.....well atleast they were consistant
tanis swung his sword again sending a wide highpower wave at the bombs blowing out the fuses
sadly he had noticed from the last attempt range wasn't going to work for ether him or them
doesn't mean he had to fight fair though
tanis....being an inventor...loved to make things that help out in this situation

tanis tossed a small ball the size of a golfball and looked away for a split second as it burst into a blinding light
if this worked he had a much needed advantage....if not he was rushing into trouble
tanis readied his sword and ran into the midst of the penguins aiming a thrust of his sword at the red one and a bass wave(also known as a knockback wave) at the closet penguin after

They were quite surprised when the bombs lost their fuses, and fell on the ground harmlessly. The red prinny was visibly surprised at his skill, and as they fell to the ground, he quickly said:

"It's time for a change in pla--"

He was cut off by a flash bomb.

Hey look, free attack. Meanwhile, the red one spoke while temporarily blinded.

"Ahh...You fight dirty. I thought only demons did that..."

(Short, but for a reason.)

perfect....now to seperate and confuse them in that order of corse
"get real kid....no such thing as a fair fight...besides five on one is hardly fair"
tanis raised his hand in the air and sent a bass wave in all directions....now that he had the advantage he had to knock them apart and take them out one by one

And then he did it.

Well, he's what happened BEFORE he did it. The red one responded:

"Well, we were told to expect a group of people...but you fight dirty, so it doesn't matter! And there's 7 of us here, not 5! We have all the colors of the rainbow!*"

They then regained their sight as they were sent flying.

Protip: Prinnies with human souls explode when thrown.**

And you got them all, and they then exploded.

Anti-Climatic much? Oh, this is only the beginning.

So they were all sent flying about, in a new, exploded state of being beaten (or so it seemed). But, they weren't done yet.

"And you even abuse our weakness! Curse this prinny form...We have no choice! TRANSFORM!"

They then all somehow managed to get up, and all jump together with an energized bound, right into each other. But instead of simply crashing into each other, they formed together with a rainbow light to form...

THE LEGENDARY PRINGER X!

It was about as tall as Tanis was, and it was serious. It was also mechanical, but lets not go into detail about how that's possible. Remember, we're in the God of Chaos's castle.

*(They had to try REALLY hard too, dood. It took 2 games and a bonus stage.)

tanis' eye twiched
"okay?............"
welll.........this was........interesting
but it seemed mechanical....
tanis took a step back and put away his sword....
"never thought i'd use this in a fight...but..."
he took a wrench off his belt

The machine responded to him in a mechanical voice, because how else would have been able to talk in the first place?

"AND WITH THE POWER OF OUR COMBINED JUSTICE, WE SHALL CRUSH OUR FOE!"

Oh crap. It also seemed to radiate power, it was certainly a tough enemy. And then it announced it's attack.

"PRINNY RAID!"

And it shot missiles that looked like the earlier penguins out of it's back(only that they were all blue and not alive), that quickly turned and went towards Tanis, and did so repeatedly. The amount of missiles it shot would make it nigh impossible to simply approach, and simply wiping out a group of missiles would also not help. Did I mention they also take hits for it, rendering a frontal assault useless?* Oh, and it didn't seem to run out either.

*(The difficulty spiked, dood.)

tanis did what he could to dodge the missiles....which mainly was run for his life around the room
after running jumping and being blown off his feet a couple times tanis threw his wrench at the machine as a distraction and then snapped his fingers again sending a bass wave at the wall behind the.....whatever it was
thing about sound is it echos....
the wave bounced off the wall and headed for the missile launchers

The walls really weren't stone, but they worked all the same. The sound echoing managed to succeed, and the thing was too busy shooting at Tanis to care (the wrench was blown to pieces, poor thing, some sharpnel managed to hit it though, which also did some damage). But the sound wave knocked it down, which left it to be on it's...

Well, the missile launching part was aimed to the ground. Cue a few explosions before the firing ceases. Even as one, they were incompetent. But they weren't dead, the missile launcher just deactivated due to them realizing what they were doing. It then talked to themselves.*

"GUYS, HE'S REALLY GOOD. WE SHOULD BE MORE CAREFUL OF THAT STUFF. NOW, LET'S GET BACK UP AND TRY AGAIN...UM...WAIT, IS IT THIS....OR THIS..."

And it was unable to move after damaging itself. Free attack for you, as they figure out which button it is.

*(Eh, correct enough, dood.)

tanis sighed....it was kinda a pitiful sight
he walked over to the downed machine and drew his sword
"sorry....but at the moment i have something to do"
after careful examination tanis jabbed his sword into the machine's legs
a disableing blow but not a killing one......unless the leg had a mind of it's own
after that tanis looked around for the door out....luckly he left the one he came in open

Luckily, for both of them, the door was locked from the outside. And the mecha was rather angry when he started walking away. It finally found the button to get up (it took the green one's intellect to finally figure it out) and it stood up. The blade had only hindered it's moving capacity, and it was still sta--er, limping. Even the critical hit didn't seem to stop this thing, though it obviously hindered it.

"WE'RE NOT DONE YET, FIEND! HOW DARE YOU ATTACK US WHEN WE'RE DOWN, AND THEN FLEE LIKE A COWARD!* FULL POWER!"

It was screaming in anger with it's words, and proceeded to go red. Literally. It turned red, like it would if it was overheating, but it was not overheating, it was just angry. Don't ask me how that works either. Just, don't. You won't get anywhere.

"OMEGA PATTERN X: ENFORCEMENT BEAM!"

It's eyes started glowing, and then they shot, as expected from the attack name, beam(s). Long beams that aimed for Tanis, much like laser vision. Other lasers seemed to appear from these main lasers, that randomly went about to cause havoc on attempts to dodge, though they by far didn't stop anyone form doing just that.

*(Sigh...crazy people, dood.)

tanis turned just in time to be bounced off the door by the force of the beams
so that hurt like hell....and now tanis was just as pissed as the prinny mech
"i give you a chance that we may all live through this but you did this...."
tanis rolled away from the beams and then stood up
he aimed for the exposed part of the machine's legs and created a sonic boom...right after muteing all sound around himself of corce

"THAT'S BECAUSE WE'RE NOT DONE WITH YOU YET! BESIDES, YOU DIDN'T EVEN GET WHAT YOU CAME HERE FOR!"

The chances of him hearing what they said were determined on whether muting the sound around him included hearing the outside area or not. In any case, it was hit on the legs, which were damaged but not destroyed. In response, it said:

"COUNTER MISSILE!"

Of course, Tanis hearing it was dependent on if he could hear at the time. It then shot 2 missiles from the places had shot the same before, which started upward for a single second, then turned towards Tanis quickly and went towards him at a breakneck speed, and if they didn't directly hit him, they would probably explode where he was. The attack it had used before continued, and it didn't want to stop quite so soon. 2 main lasers heading towards Tanis, a bunch more lasers coming from them, and 2 missiles that are forcing him to change location immediately. Hopefully for him, he wouldn't run into a stray laser while dodging the missiles.
