once again tanis went running dropping a flash bomb as he did

flashbomb went off

he imitated one of the penguin's voice
"hey red-head....you suck at this...out of all we've done you've only hit the guy once...shut up and let me take over"
tanis stopped running for a moment and got ready for what ever happend next

However, the robot saw without using sight. It was actually a heat-detector, radar, and numerous other targeting ways (one being normal sight, which just went white). So, the lasers continued to fire at Tanis without hinder.

His imitation seemed to most resemble the blue one. Due to the chaos of the shooting like a madman, it actually triggered a response, quieter than when it usually spoke. About a seventh as loud, actually.

"What do you mean I'm not doing a good job, Blue? I'm the leader, I know how to shoot!"

He was eventually told that no one actually said it by the Blue one, which actually seemed to agree with Tanis (not as planned, eh?). Again, 1/7ths as loud as before.

"You're not paying attention. I didn't say that, and you think I'm going to just turn on you because I'm your rival? I should take over, just to show you that I'm better."

The purple one butted in.

"Yeah, we should give everyone a shot, let him try~"

And the red one gave in.

"Tch, fine. Blue, have a shot."

And the attacks stopped, after a while. Then, it spoke again, to Tanis.

"YOU'RE NOT BAD, NOT BAD AT ALL. PERHAPS YOU'LL GRANT ME AN ACTUAL CHALLENGE? LET US BOTH FIND OUT."

Then a spot under Tanis started to glow, and a blast of energy shot from it a second later. This was repeated every second, meaning he (Tanis) is unable to stand still. And this was only it's warm-up exercise.

worked better then expected.....hopefulllythis guy wouldn't bring the place down like the last was trying to do

tanis this time ran toward the machine
at the moment it had the advantage at a distance....lets see how well it did up close
on second thought....forget a frontal attack
tanis almost litteraly leap-frogged over the machine as one of the glowing circles appeared beneath him....with any lcuk it would fry it's self and he could move on....if not...well atleast he distracted it

Rule of Danmaku: Your own shots do not effect you.

Only this thing wasn't using danmaku. Too bad for it.

Wait did it just MOVE OUT OF THE WAY? It did. It seemed to hover just off the ground too.

"UNLIKE MY FRIEND, I KNOW HOW TO MOVE."

And dodge it had done. The attack continued as it was...for a while.

"TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT: CRITICAL MASS.*"

Then, on the ground from the robot, 8 thick lines came out (about as thick as the robot was wide, and evenly spaced from each other (like compass directions, North, Northeast, ect)), and extended all the way to the walls of the room. Hopefully Tanis wasn't silly enough** to stand under them, as they pretty much did what the ones that were following him before (and they still are, in fact), only with a few different things.

One, the blasts were blue. (The other one was white.)
Two, they blasted higher.
Three, it STAYED. Like a pillar of...blue blasting energy. And then it began to rotate, forcing Tanis to continue moving, even though there was no way he was going to stand still anyway. It wasn't rotating fast enough to simply smack him again and again though, but it was certainly problematic.

*(Critical Mass? ...Sounds like a final spell. On guard, dood~)

okay...this is getting out of hand....
"Hazard sign: Reverberate...."
tanis sent out a huge sonic shock wave in all directions that echoed off the walls as tanis kept moving the avoid the beams
the shock wave grew louder and more powerful every time it echoed off the walls
given they were in a enclosed room the sonic wave echoed over and over again
in the mean time though as the attack grew more and more powerful tanis was running for his life...a bit out of breath though....

the echo seemed to stop for a second before collapsing in on the prinny mech and then exploding outword

Well it's only gonna get more out of hand. The final attack is usually like that. Only this time, they really are serious. And when these people get truly serious, things can end badly. Hopefully, you saved your game just in case*, because it's only gonna...wait, I said that already.

In any case, the other prinnies inside(?) the mech realized that this looked too much like a final attack after being smacked by waves and finally an explosion (it did visible damage, but they didn't even react), and decided to bug the blue one about teamwork. It was 100% impossible to hear from the outside due to all of the scuffling already going on, but what was pretty much said is that they would all help out with the attack (starting with Red and Purple). Exactly how they did this is unknown (but nobody cares about how, we just want to know what happens).

The blue blasts continued to spin, and the white blasts continued to be as annoying as ever. But then, 8 spots scattered around the room started to glow red, and shortly after erupted in a tower of beam, which was tall just like the blue ones, but stayed put. One would have to dodge them while running about. Running into it would be very hazardous to your health. (Obviously.)

5 seconds after that attack, the ceiling of the room started to glow purple, and many large, glowing, purple...hearts**...descended from said ceiling. Said hearts made a small explosion when they hit the ground, thus making Tanis's life even more of a pain as he had to navigate the hearts, make sure not to run into the red pillars, while going around the great blue wheel. So much things in the way, and he just had to keep on moving. It almost felt like he was in some bullet hell game. Only that he could take hits, but only had 1 life and no continues.

tanis ran towards the machine moving as the beams, hearts, and walls came around
he began to swing like a madman aiming for anything that even remotely looked vital
last life....no continues.....oh and more importantly level up

tanis put his gauntlet over one of the damaged legs and sent an echo through the machine...after all metal does echo well...
after about a second the same sonic explosion as before went off inside the mech this time

But at the same time, running was the only choice. Such is the life of many people that play bullet hell games. But, they don't level up, they power up. Of course, there will probably be an exception to that one day.

The chances of him going to point blank and surviving were already nil. But, he did anyway. Well, he tried. Yellow and Indigo just got their power into the machine, which made a thick ring of yellow energy (like the pillars of energy that were everywhere, but large amounts together in a ring) surround the mech close up at first (preventing Tanis from truly going in without dieing horribly), which began to slowly expand while remaining thick. Near the walls of the room, another thick ring formed, and was slowly getting smaller. Great, less room to dodge, harder to move, the white thing and blue moving things forced him to keep moving, the purple hearts and red pillars were getting in the way, and now the rings were forcing him to back off but not too much. There was still room to maneuver, but it was getting smaller and smaller.

The mechanical voice spoke, in a completely different mechanical tone.

"ENERGY CRITICAL! ENERGY CRITICAL!*"

The others must have been too wrapped up in the attack to notice, but chances are it'll be over soon. But not before everyone gives it their all.

Of course, this is all if he gets out of the way, because his attack just got blocked. If he continues to charge in, he's a goner (though not quite dead).

*(Time out spell/skill, dood. It HAS to be the last, because it's running out of juice, dood! ...I could use some Prinny Juice, dood...)

when tanis saw the rings he backed up trying his best to dodge....well everything
sadly do to narrow spaces he was hit quite a few times
now they were both beat up
but by the look of things tanis only had to outlast the mech

And it seems that it's getting worse.

Green and Orange have just added their power. And it's not looking good for Tanis.

In addition to all of the chaos that does not need describing again., green projectiles just came from the walls, and orange ones came out of the mech, again in large amounts. An assault from the outside, inside, the sky, the ground, all while being forced to move in an obstacle course. It defies words.

But the mech was screaming some anyway, in the foreign voice it had spoke with before.

"WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! DANGER! DANGER! DANGER!"

It was chaotic. Fitting, for the chaos gods castle.

(Short, but what needs a rehash? Nothing needs to be said again. It's simply hell in there.)

"well this seems as good a time as any to test the prototype"
tanis crushed a capsle in his hands and a gel expanded around tanis when it came in contact with the air
with the beams and all that he would have a few more seconds as the gel burned off instead of him...issue was he couldn't move while the gel was there

The gel was destroyed in seconds.

His inability to move during that time would have been a huge hinder, if the machine had more time to continue after those said seconds. The assault lasted for a few more seconds, which the gel had given, before stopping in an instant. This actually felt somewhat surreal. Every single projectile simply vanished in a little puff of bright smoke (and points were collected), and the machine simply stopped moving for a second before a bright light emitted from it as well. It was gonna gooo....

BOOOOOM!

In a shower of rainbow color. An EXPLOSIVE, loud shower of rainbow color. Hopefully you weren't near that, as it could blow you away (and possibly KO you against the wall). And the mecha was...well, gone. Poof. Nothing was there.* In it's place was a rainbow metal key, floating until Tanis grabbed it. Mission Accomplished...or rather part of the mission anyway. Stage? Yeah, I'll go with stage. You can go with level, if you want.

Well, time to unlock that door~

*(What really happened: The machine exploded, but it was piloted via remote control, mics, and various other devices. They will probably reincarnate as humans once again...finally. At least it was an educational experience. Of course, no one else knew that. Simple generic Stage 1 Boss.)

now to rinse and repeat...tanis walked to the next door and placed his hand aginst it useing echo location to once again map out the next room before putting in the key

So level headed. Who knew one could keep a straight head in here?

In any case, before he got to the big door (as soon as he opened the door out of the room he was in, now in the mess hall), he saw some people. (That would be the 'Going To See Kaosu' thread.)

So he was unable to make it to the door without instigating some chatter or the like.
