The Scarlet Devil Mansion [Open]

Hikaru was surprised that Hong actually took damage from his shots. But this was time to be confident. There was now underlings on her side. Hikaru grabbed his short sword, Kusanagi and held it backwards, the assassin way. Hikaru was thumb was closer to the end of the handle instead of the blade. Hikaru pointed his gun while holding a short katana on his left hand ready to strike anyone who comes near him by instinct. Hikaru said "Quantity is Quality on its own? Give me a break. I'll show you true Quality, you murderer."
Hikaru was a slightly angry seeing his friends almost die. Hikaru knew there wouldn't be enough time to save them now. Hikaru just angrily glared at Hong. However his calm expression masked his anger.

Kanda's wound slowly started heal as the cells started to form back into place. Kanda felt much better. However he was still on the verge of death.
Yumi was still immoblized but the healing released her from her pain. She just stared at Kanda...

To Korochi it looked as though the tide was turning against the boy now but the gatekeeper's injuries and the fact that the newcomers were merely fairies did muddy the odds somewhat. She continued to defend herself and her fallen opponent with shields but she grew three of her tails out in order to balance herself if she needed to start shooting.

[Schala]

Well, at least it was working a little bit. Kanda was still dying though, and Yumi...she was immobile.
"I...I don't know what to do," Katrina said.
Then she saw Hikaru continue to fight. The shield broke (again) so she knew what she had to do.
"Aurora Wind!"
What appeared to be a whirlwind with light instead of wind formed around Hong Meiling. Katrina waited for the sphere of light to blast through the wind.

[Augen]

Hong Meiling had only been resting for a moment. She had her fairy soldiers fighting the good fight for her. Indeed, it seemed like she'd be able to regain twice her previous fighting spirit by the time one of the sides eliminated the other.
Or so she thought, before she opened her eyes to see a blowing whirlwind around her. "... The hell," she exclaimed as she flew upwards, a spere of light blasting through the wind below her. Her gaze turned to face the one who had yelled "Aurora wind".
"Nnnggg... Trying to kick me when I'm down? Die," she yelled, a cloud of rainbow shards forming around her, which a couple seconds later dived torwards Katrina with a hadouken down the center.

Hikaru was dodging left and right as all the fairy soldiers fired bullets at him. His eyes gleaming with anger and scartches appearing on his skin because of the bullets nearly hitting him. Hikaru used the flying shadow and disappeared. He appeared in front of one the fairies and slashed his kusanagi at one of the fairies.

Kanda and Yumi laid there. Still motionless...

Korochi remembered the boy's two wounded friends just then. She'd been so wrapped up in her effort to balance the battle that she'd forgotten about protecting those who needed it most. As quickly as she could she shifted her whole body back into its normal form and scooped up the unconscious Youkai girl beside her before sprinting over to where the boy's friends lay.

She was forced to plow right through the crossfire on her way to the injured so she bent as far as she could over her cargo, gritting her teeth as some of the gatekeeper's shots dug into her back. When she was near enough she tossed the girl she was carrying onto the ground beside the other wounded, turned and formed three heads again, blocking stray shots with their sheer mass until she could raise their barriers.

((OOC: Kanda, Yumi and Carmellia are now safe. The rest of you can go crazy if you want.))

[Schala]

She gasped at the sudden attack by the colors of the rainbow.
"Shield of Light!" she cried out.
Even after the shield was cast, Katrina still tried to dodge the shards of rainbow, as she was afraid the shield might break. As she dodged, she moved toward Hikaru.
"We're getting out of here!" she said. "And we're getting out now!"

[Augen]

Hong Meiling watched as her bullets were deflected by the shield of light... A minor problem, but overall it looked to her like things were turning in her favor. She started to focus a little more on the defensive, preparing to dodge if she had to but still firing a few warning shots here and there.

Hikaru disappeared after striking the first fairy down, he thought, one down... he appeared above and fired 10 bullets spreading out toward the other fairies. Then Hikaru was blasted right on the shoulder. Hikaru fell toward the ground. Hikaru then quickly kicked off the ground and swung swung his sword at the last fairy that just shot a bullet at his shoulder. Hikaru landed the ground with a kneeling pose while holding his wound at the same time. Hikaru's intimidating eyes turned back to Hong Meirin. He thought You are next on my list, gate keeper....

Korochi had a hard time trying to block all of the stray shots that came her way. There weren't too many of them but they were widely spaced and her three heads had a bit of trouble keeping up. She formed her fourth head to act as a lookout and that would be her limit until her left arm recovered (which wouldn't happen for a while).

Just then she heard a soft moan coming from behind her and she realized that the small Youkai girl was waking up again. She didn't have any normal limbs left to silence the girl and a tap from an Orochi part might be fatal, so she spent a precious few moments trying to decide what she should do.

Eventually she had the idea of forming a tail and simply using it to hold the girl down. It took a bit more effort than usual and she realized that she was tiring, but soon enough she had the tail out and she carefully placed it across the girl's back with the hope that its weight alone would be enough to restrain the Youkai as it would be dangerous for her to use any strength.

Then she tried to forget about the girl and focused her attention on intercepting stray shots.

[Schala]

"Did you not hear me?!" Katrina cried as she stepped right in front of Hikaru. "We are getting out of here! I will not let you die!"
She noticed several fairies coming her way. Quickly she dispelled her shield.
"Aurora Wind!" she called out.
She turned back to Hikaru. "We have to grab Carmellia and get out."

[Augen]

Meiling took a moment to jump back towards where Akane laid, sprawled like a ragdoll on the doorstep of the mansion. Her eyes were wide, parts of her flesh were singed black, and blood ran from her mouth and eyesockets. Meiling crouched down, putting her hands on Akane's shoulders and shaking her lightly.

"C'mon Akane... Wake up... Look at me!" "Snnf... Meimei... Is that... Meimei..." "Yes... It's me. It's Meiling, Akane." "I... Can't see you... Meimei. Where... Did all the colors... Go?" "It's gonna be alright, Akane! Just hang on... Don't go anywhere!" "Snnf... Sorry Meimei... I can't keep fighting... I gotta..." "Akane, don't--" "..." "... Akane?"

After a few seconds Meiling stood. Silent. She had nothing to say. Why should she? Nobody had time for words. This child, so innocent, lay motionless before her. And at the hands of those invaders. Meiling would not forgive this. So she turned. Most of her faeries had been killed, for now. Time to step back into the fight.

Hikaru was to fixed one what happened to his comrades to listen to Katrina at all. In fact, he completely ignored her. He also ignored his wound, it was the least of his problems. Hikaru's eyes was fixed on Hong, burning with vengeance and hatred. He as well thought Hong Meirin was unforgivable. Hikaru grabbed kusanagi as Hikaru's skin started to change into metal. Hikaru used the flying shadow and appeared 2 meters above Hong Meirin through intense speed, almost like a flash step. Hikaru instantaneously struck his sword downwards with intense speed. Almost like a drop-slash. Hikaru shot down as he thought, This is the end, Gate keeper...

The first thing Carmellia realized when she regained her awareness was the massive pressure on her back. For a few moments she tried her best to wriggle free, then she stopped after sensing that something else was wrong. She noticed that her right shoulder was feeling rather sore and that she couldn't feel any part of her right arm below that. Desperately she tried turning to get a look at her shoulder but the weight on her back kept her from moving.

Korochi was having a hard time focusing on both the girl and her defense at the same time. Frustrated, she pressed her tail down onto the girl's back until the struggling stopped. She was aware of the callousness of that act but she had others to protect besides herself and the girl and she couldn't afford the distraction.

[Schala]

This wasn't working. Hikaru was ignoring her!
She ran up to him, dodging all the bullets she could, but was grazed by a few. They were getting out, whether--
Then she noticed he was wounded. Well, ignorant or not, she still had to heal him. And she knew this was the last time for a few hours that she could work her healing magic.
She pressed her hand on Hikaru's wound and let the healing light flow into it. Then she went to look for Carmellia.
Carmellia was awake now, and she was being held down by a tail. The tail of a youkai, she suspected.
Katrina spoke to the youkai. "You have to let her go. I'll get her somewhere safe so I can focus on saving Hikaru."
