The Scarlet Devil Mansion [Open]

The enemy seemed to vanish. Shit... Where did he go? By the time Hong Meiling realized the answer, it was too late. She didn't have time to make a full dodge. Just enough of one that the strike wouldn't be fatal.

She managed to turn just enough to catch the blade in the membranous area between the clavicle and the neck, the blade traveling down till it's tip made it's exit at the dip where the sternum ends. Good. And with that hong concentrated her ki, tightening muscles in her torso around the blade.

"That hurt," she said sending her fist along with a stream of danmaku upwards. Straight for the jewels.

Korochi was a bit surprised that the human would come over to her with all the bullets flying around and she was cautious at first, but after hearing the girl's words she realized that she wasn't speaking with an enemy. She craned her unoccupied Orochi head over to answer the human. "Go ahead and take your friend, but make sssure ssshe doesssn't ssshoot thisss way. I have to protect thessse two wounded fightersss." She flicked her head towards where Kanda and Yumi were lying to make her point clear before retracting her tail and freeing the Youkai that lay beneath it.

As the weight was removed from her back, Carmellia's first act was to check her right shoulder. While the sight of the bloodied stump dismayed the Youkai, it wasn't particularly horrifying as she'd lost limbs before. It did enrage her, though.

"I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR MY ARM!" she screamed as she started charging a shot, preparing to shoot all the heads off the monster that had hurt her.

Hikaru has no time to think about Katrina, ong was about to make another comeback. Hikaru let go of his sword. He pulled away from Katrina's healing hand as hundreds of bullets blew him up into the air. There was an explosion of smoke as Hikaru was still alive, 100 meters above the ground in the air. He was completely metal as bullets were all over his body and hands. Hikaru thought, If i turn back into normal now, all the places that hit my metal body will turn into wounds. And I will die, but in my metal form, I am immoble, my joints don't function here... What should I do? All the sudden Hikaru's metal on the outside started to liquify and all of the bullets fell out of Hikaru's metal body. Hikaru then returned to normal form after he solidifed his metal. Hikaru thought breathing heavily still 100 feet in the air Damn, that was tiring, now I can't use my flying shadow, or else I will run out of energy. I guess I'll just have to use my gun as my last resort. Hikaru inserted a new mag into his gun. He started to accelerate downwards toward the ground. Hikaru hand turned into metal and liquified turning into metal shurikins. He created shurikins out of his own hand! Which meant that Hikaru can extend the mass of his own metal. Hikaru through the shurikins down toward Hong and he fired all 25 bullets at 500 RPM at Hong. He said "You're finished!!"

Katrina was relieved when Carmellia was freed, but this was short-lived as she began to charge another shot.
"Stop!" Katrina yelled, following the snake youkai's directions.
"I don't know what I can do about your arm," she said. "My healing magic has to recharge. We're stuck until then."
She was partly thinking about her own wounds, but they were only slight compared to what Carmellia had endured.

Carmellia heard Katrina's words but she continued charging her shot. She didn't care if she had to wait a bit longer for a new arm. All she wanted was some payback for losing the old one. Fortunately, the monster looked like it was a bit too occupied to stop her and if Katrina continued to hold back she would be able to get at least one shot off before anything happened...

Korochi watched the Youkai girl's actions with a feeling of dismay. It was bad enough that her fourth pair of eyes had to watch the girl instead of the battlefield but now she would have to react to this new threat as well. A few shots had already managed to get past her three other heads as their vision was obscured by the barriers they were maintaining in front of them.

If Korochi used one of her tails on the Youkai girl's body it would cause a lot of damage, so she decided to deal with the shot instead. As quickly as she could she extended a tail and poked its tip into the growing blue ball, causing it to explode with a bright flash that wiped out the last foot or so of the tail as well as blasting off the Youkai girl's lower jaw.

When Korochi's fourth pair of eyes recovered, they could see her would-be attacker lying unconscious a short distance away with a large and blackened hole where her mouth had been. She felt a twinge of pity for the injured Youkai but she forced herself to shift her attention back to the battlefield where the fight was reaching its climax.

((OOC: Carmellia is out again. This time she's missing her mouth as well as her arm.))

Hong looked upward. This was bad. The kid just wouldn't go down... And then the projectiles came. Hong knew she had to think fast, or else she might take considerable damage from those bullets. So she backflip dodged before making her way to the sky, flying upwards with a zig-zag motion and firing more flower danmaku...

Then she one of the shuriken caught her leg. Not good. That combined with the muscles she had tensed around the sword provided too much distraction. Hong started to fall torwards the ground, still firing as she went. If I go... I'm dragging you down to Hell with me, she thought.

Hikaru's wings spread out from his back, he started flying arround doding the bullets as one of them shot a hole through his leg. Hikaru grunted in slight pain. However in times of crisis, pain meant nothing to him. Hikaru decided to use his other sword, the forbidden sword, Ketsueki. Ketsueki was the sword that could cut both souls and physical body. So that if the blade was blocked physically, spiritually the opponent would be damaged. Hikaru thought, Im going to shatter your soul for killing my comrades... A bullet flied directly toward Hikaru's head as he swung his sowrd down at hong. All the sudden, Hikaru started to regret what he was going to do, vengeance was not the key. However it was too late to stop now. Hikaru turned his full body into metal stopping himself from attacking hong as the bullet hit his metal head. There was when Hikaru ran out of energy. Hikaru's metal body started to turn back into skin.

Carmellia hadn't listened, and as a result, she was injured even further.
This is all my fault...Katrina thought. If I had never come here, Carmellia would not be wounded so--
What was she saying? Hikaru needed her. She couldn't lave him!
She turned to the snake youkai. "Get Carmellia out of here," she said. "I'll save Hikaru."
With that, Katrina reentered the battle. She saw Hikaru draw a blade. It looked...well, something just wasn't right about it.
It was time she fought.
"Aurora Wind!" she called again, aiming for the gatekeeper.

Now things were worse than before. More and more bullets were getting past Korochi's barriers and to top it off the battle had become lopsided again, which gave her the urge to intervene. She forced herself to calm down and focus on the injured beings she was protecting but she still couldn't stop all the stray shots.

She finally decided to add another layer of protection- her own body. Gathering whatever strength she had left she shifted her body into its massive Orochi form and added two more tails to what was left of her first one. As carefully as she could she pushed the small Youkai girl close enough to the other wounded and circled all three of them with her body and tails. She still had three barriers out but now any shots that got past them would impact her body instead of the beings she was protecting.

They would need all the shelter they could get.

[Augen]

"There... That's... The point," Hong Meiling said to herself, watching as the metal body above started to shift back into flesh. "Ha... HaDOUKEN," she yelled, releasing a blast of ki from her hands right before hitting the ground. A cough of blood and she layed there for a moment, letting out a yell of pain.

"Sh... Shit. The sword... Dammit," She struggled to lift her head, looking at her immobile body as it lay on the ground. She wasn't dead yet... Still concious, too... But... She couldn't get up. Her back took a pretty bad fall. And that blade in her chest wasn't helping.

Hikaru was blasted away by the explosion of Ki. He fell down to the ground as most of his body has turned into flesh once again. Hikaru got his energy to pull the bullet out of his head before the metal head turned into flesh. Hikaru thought, Maybe this is as far as I go.... But.... I can still change fate... If I try... HIkaru fell and hit the ground as the bullet was removed and hikaru's head turned into flesh. Hikaru hit the floor with impact as his eyes started to close... He muttered "Kanda...."

Was the battle over? It certainly looked like it was over. Both the gatekeeper and the boy were clearly on the verge of collapsing and one would fall soon enough if the fight continued. In any case, the worst of the battle was behind them and Korochi felt that it would be good to resume her normal form before she bled dry from all the places bullets had struck her.

Gritting all four sets of teeth against the pain she slowly drew all her Orochi parts into herself and reshaped her body into its normal appearance. Her wounds disappeared as she shifted but the pain and fatigue remained, not to mention that the injuries would open up again if she had to resume Orochi form soon. From the extent of the damage she'd taken (and how sore she felt) she believed it would take her at least a day to recover from everything, but as long as she was in her weaker form she would be able to walk and fly as usual until being injured in this form as well.

Then she called out to the human girl. "Hey! Things may be much safer now but we need to get these three as far away as we can until the fighting really stops."

I was shivering.

Because of the cold?

The pain?

...the fear?

It was like me... and yet, so not like me.

I was, alone.

No... not the loneliness of my nice warm basement. There, I was never really alone. I could easily call Oneesama, or even Patchouli or that maid down.

This place, wherever it was, was much more lonely. It was never warm... I couldn't see Patchouli anywhere... Or Oneesama...

Oneesama!

Flandre shot up, the destructive impulses in her growing, to the point where she could barely contain it.

Then when she finally registered that it was still a dream, she let it all loose in one "harmless" upward blast.

"Oneesama..." She sighed. "I'm still home... It was all..." Flandre began to laugh, floating upward through the hole she had created.

A fairy just so happened to be looking for the cause of the massive blast at the time that Flandre came out of the hole, and was blown up simply for being there.

She continued upward, however, not really sure where she was going, through the roof and into the sky. Sounds reached her ears, but she ignored them, staring into the sky. "Augh! That thing's way too bright!" Flandre gathered power in her hand, forming comets of Danmaku that were launched high into the sky at the sun, but obviously falling short and breaking apart, sending small bullets raining from the sky above where China and the others were fighting.

Flandre growled, launching herself down at Meiling, picking up the gatekeeper and shaking her, annoyed. "You! Do something to get that thing from invading the manison! You're the gatekeeper, right?!"

It was only now that she noticed the sword sticking straight through her.

Dropping China again, Flandre slowly turned to the people there. "...who's sword is that?" She asked slowly, with a large, and utterly horrifying smile.

[Schala]

Katrina had no time to listen to the snake youkai. She saw Hikaru fall.
Immediately she ran to his side.
She sat down beside him and cradled him.
"Don't die," she sobbed. "I love you."
She was way too worried about Hikaru to look up and notice Flandre. When she heard someone ask about the sword she simply did not say, she just cried.

(OOC: Since Hikaru's eyes are closing, Katrina thinks he might be dying. She doesn't know about the whole thing with "Patchouli is supposed to kill him.")

"KAFF!... It's the kid with the scar... Mistress Flandre... The beast with the orange hair took out Akane... And the scarred kid got me... Please... I tried to stop them, but they insisted on entering the mansion... On forcing their way in... KAFF!" Meiling struggled to look up at the vampiress as she spoke. Though fright filled her, she knew this girl to be on her side. Hopefully... Hopefully things would work out.
