Carmellia's ears twitched at that and she stopped flying. She'd always wanted jewelry but she didn't have any money and humans tended to keep theirs too well protected for her to get her hands on it. Katrina didn't look like someone who could afford jewelry but the hope of getting a nice necklace or some rings was strong enough to overcome both Carmellia's skepticism and her fear of the Scarlet Devils. She looked straight into Katrina's eyes and answered with a voice that warned against trifling with her hopes. "I'll follow you and rescue this...
